Milo Ventimiglia and his wife, Jarah Mariano, are officially parents — just weeks after losing their home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

“Houseless, never homeless. Welcome back Ke’ala Coral Ventimiglia 1.23.25,” Marinao began on Friday, January 31, via Instagram. “Jan 7th my family & I evacuated from the Palisades Fire. We lost our home that we were living in & everything we own, as well as our home under construction that we were about to move into. I was 38 weeks pregnant & I had done an evacuation only a few weeks prior during the Franklin Fire as well. I take it as a gift that I was able to essentially do a practice run for what was inevitably to come. I’m also forever grateful that we were able to evacuate from the Palisades Fire in the daytime, when we could feel more prepared & not caught completely off guard in the middle of the night, for example.”

She noted that her family is “together, happy, healthy and safe, which is truly all that matters.”

“We are deeply grateful to all of the heroes who help battle fires, as well as care for everyone affected by the aftermath for years to come. This will be an extended process of rebuilding and grieving for many, but we are feeling optimistic & inspired to welcome all of the exciting newness of our fresh start!” Mariano continued. “A special thank you to all of those who have supported my family & I in this time; friends, family, my birthing team, hospital staff, companies gifting, LA community and beyond. Your love & generosity means everything to us.”

She concluded: “Gentle reminder to all, to please allow us this time & space to nest with our newborn in such a delicate phase. We already have everything we need in abundance & will be back around with updates in our own time.” The post was signed, “Sending you Aloha + Light always, Jarah, Milo, Ke’a Duke.”

Mariano announced her pregnancy in September 2024 by sharing maternity photos via Instagram. “Baby on board!” she captioned two shots of herself showing off her baby bump in a bikini while floating on a surfboard in the ocean in Hawaii. In the first picture, she cradled her growing belly, while the second image showed her making a “shaka” hand sign alongside another person (presumably Ventimiglia) whose face was not seen in the frame.

Us Weekly broke the news in October 2023 that Ventimiglia and Mariano quietly tied the knot in a private ceremony with family and close friends in attendance. The news came after the couple were first linked in 2022, but they did not confirm their relationship until their wedding.

  • Milo Ventimiglia, Jarah Mariano welcome 1st child together after losing home in LA fire

Actor Milo Ventimiglia and his wife Jarah Mariano have welcomed their first child together.

Mariano took to Instagram on Friday and shared the good news just weeks after she and the “This is Us” actor lost their home earlier this month in the Los Angeles wildfires.

“Houseless, never homeless,” Mariano wrote in the caption of a post, which featured her baby’s feet and her dog’s paw.

“Welcome back Ke’ala Coral Ventimiglia 1.23.25,” she continued. “Jan 7th my family & I evacuated from the Palisades Fire. We lost our home that we were living in & everything we own, as well as our home under construction that we were about to move into.”

Mariano said that she was 38 weeks pregnant and revealed that evacuating from the Palisades fire was the second time she’s had to evacuate in recent weeks. She said she previously had to evacuate from the Franklin Fire in Malibu in December.

“I take it as a gift that I was able to essentially do a practice run for what was inevitably to come,” she said. “I’m also forever grateful that we were able to evacuate from the Palisades Fire in the daytime, when we could feel more prepared & not caught completely off guard in the middle of the night, for example.”

Mariano continued, “My family & I are together, happy, healthy & safe, which is truly all that matters. We are deeply grateful to all of the heroes who help battle fires, as well as care for everyone affected by the aftermath for years to come.”

“I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real. This is happening,’” he said of watching their home burn via security cameras before turning the footage off. “We kind of accepted the loss.”

Ventimiglia said he and his family will “make do,” adding that his “wife and baby and dog are most important.”

Ventimiglia and Mariano tied the knot in October 2023.

  • Peyton List, Milo Manheim return in ‘School Spirits’ season 2 trailer

Just because they’re stuck in the afterlife doesn’t mean their love lives are dead!

School Spirits will-they-won’t-they couple Maddie (Peyton List) and Wally (Milo Manheim) locked ghost lips last season, and Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive season 2 trailer that reveals yet another very steamy moment between them. The fact that they’re shirtless but not (yet?) kissing again is a mystery that needs to be investigated with the same dedication Maddie had for the case of her body snatcher.

Maddie (and viewers) were thrown for a loop in the season 1 finale of the spooky Paramount+ series when she discovered that Janet (Jess Gabor), another ghost that everyone assumed moved on, had actually stolen her body instead. Now the mystery of what happened to Maddie turns to whether she could still be alive if she gets her body back from Janet.

“I thought my life was over,” Maddie says in the trailer. “Stuck between the real world and the afterlife. But the real question is, am I even dead?”

The key to solving Maddie’s mystery lies in Simon (Kristian Ventura), her only connection to the real world, who was left doubting he’d actually been talking to her at all in the season 1 finale. Maddie must find a way to unite her friends, both living and dead, but even if they Nancy Drew (or Hardy Boys) their way to finding Maddie’s missing body, they don’t know if they can bring Maddie back to life.

And what’s going on with Mr. Martin (Josh Zuckerman)? The dead teacher always seemed to be an ally for the young spirits, overseeing a ghost student support group to help them cross over, but there’s something suspicious going on with him keeping tabs on all of them and collecting things they had when they died. Was he involved in Janet’s death? “Don’t pursue this!” he warns sternly in the trailer.

The eight episode second season kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 30, with three episodes, followed by new episodes every Thursday after that.

    Watch the exclusive trailer below:

Returning to School Spirits season 2 cast are List, Manheim, Ventura, Zuckerman, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zomer. Maria Dizzia as Sandra Nears, Maddie’s mom, Patrick Gilmore as Mr. Anderson, and Ian Tracey as Sheriff Baxter.

New to the cast this season are Jess Gabor (Shameless) as Janet Hamilton, Zack Calderon (The Wilds) as Diego Herrera, Miles Elliot (The Amazing Spider-Man) as Yuri, and Ci Hang Ma (Presto! School of Magic) as Quinn.

Back in season 1, a connection between Maddie and Wally quickly sparked and culminated with them sharing their first kiss at the homecoming dance. “Another great memory I have is when Peyton and I were filming our kiss scene,” Manheim previously told EW. “In between resetting up shots, we would go hang out in her trailer and her brother was there. I love her brother so much, Spencer. He was like ‘I’m bored. Can I come watch?’ and Peyton kept on being like ‘No!’ I was like ‘Yeah. Bro, come on! It’ll be great!’ That was a funny moment.”

Maneheim also shared his hopes for season 2: “I want a whole flashback — not of Wally playing football, just of Wally being the man in high school. I want to see him with all of his friends. I want to see maybe his girlfriend, Debbie Gibson, who he mentioned in episode 2 by the pool. I want to see his life. I want to see what other clothes he wore to school. Sorry. That’s me just being selfish.”

School Spirits season 2 premieres with three episodes on Thursday, Jan. 30, on Paramount+.
