On Thanksgiving Day in 1997, I had the privilege of working as a cast member at the Disneyland Hotel, portraying the beloved character Minnie Mouse. It was a day filled with magic, gratitude, and lots of smiles.

As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I could feel the excitement in the air. Guests were bustling about, eager to celebrate the holiday at the happiest place on earth. My fellow cast members and I were buzzing with energy as we prepared for a day of spreading joy and creating unforgettable memories.

Decked out in my iconic red and white polka dot dress, I was ready to greet guests with hugs, high-fives, and of course, plenty of photo opportunities. The sheer delight on children’s faces as they spotted Minnie Mouse walking around the hotel was truly heartwarming.

Throughout the day, I had the pleasure of meeting families from all over the world, each with their own unique traditions and stories to share. Some guests were visiting Disneyland for the first time, while others were seasoned veterans who had made the park a holiday tradition.

As I posed for pictures and danced with guests, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a special day. The magic of Disney truly knows no bounds, and I was honored to play a small role in creating happiness and memories for all who visited the Disneyland Hotel on Thanksgiving Day.

As the sun set on another magical day at Disneyland, I couldn’t help but reflect on the true meaning of Thanksgiving – giving thanks for the blessings in our lives and spreading joy to others. Being a cast member at the Disneyland Hotel, especially as Minnie Mouse, allowed me to do just that, and for that, I am forever grateful.
