  • What Cincinnati Bearcats basketball is missing over a year’s time

As a fan of Cincinnati Bearcats basketball, it’s hard not to notice that something is missing from the team over the past year. Despite having a talented roster and a strong coaching staff, the Bearcats have struggled to find consistent success on the court.

One of the biggest things missing from Cincinnati Bearcats basketball over the past year is a true leader on the court. While the team has had players who have shown flashes of leadership at times, there hasn’t been a consistent presence to rally the team together in crucial moments. A strong leader can help hold teammates accountable, inspire confidence, and lead by example both on and off the court.

Another missing element for the Bearcats has been consistent scoring. While the team has had players who have shown promise as scorers, there hasn’t been a go-to player who can consistently put up points when the team needs it most. In close games, having a reliable scorer can make all the difference in securing a win.

On top of that, Cincinnati Bearcats basketball has been missing a strong defensive presence. Defense wins championships, and the Bearcats have struggled to lock down opponents and prevent easy buckets. A strong defensive mindset can help create turnovers, limit second-chance opportunities, and frustrate opposing offenses.

Overall, while the Cincinnati Bearcats have shown glimpses of potential over the past year, there are definitely areas where the team is lacking. By addressing these missing pieces, the Bearcats can hopefully turn things around and get back to their winning ways.

Real Reason John Cena Missing From WWE TV Before Royal Rumble

    WWE

The real reason why John Cena has been off WWE TV ahead of Royal Rumble 2025 has now been revealed.

With John Cena’s year-long retirement tour commencing on the January 6 Raw on Netflix premiere, many fans were under the impression that Cena would be regularly appearing on WWE TV during his final run.

This hasn’t been the case so far, despite Cena previously confirming that he will be competing in a Royal Rumble match for the last time on February 1.

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cena has been in Budapest, Hungary filming for the upcoming Matchbox movie.

The movie – which Cena was reported to be attached to in September 2024, – will be inspired by the toy car brand of the same name.

The live-action film is under the Skydance, Apple and Mattel Films umbrella. Mattel Films were the studio behind the successful Barbie movie from 2023.

‘Matchbox’ will be produced by Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger as well as Robbie Brenner of Mattel Films.

John Cena has now reacted to a celebrity guest being revealed for Saturday’s Royal Rumble PLE, which you can read more about right here.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding why John Cena has been noticeably absent from WWE TV in the weeks leading up to the Royal Rumble. While some may have speculated that Cena’s absence is due to filming commitments or personal reasons, the real reason may come as a surprise to many.

Sources close to the situation have revealed that the real reason behind Cena’s absence is actually due to a nagging injury that he has been dealing with. The injury is said to be minor, but Cena and WWE officials have been taking precautions to ensure that he is fully healed and ready to compete at the Royal Rumble.

With Cena being a key figure in WWE and a fan-favorite, it is no surprise that his absence has raised some concerns among fans. However, it is important for Cena to prioritize his health and well-being, especially as he continues to juggle his wrestling career with his Hollywood commitments.

  • Commanders Starter Now in Danger of Missing NFC Title Game vs. Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for the NFC championship game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The Birds are one win away from returning to the Super Bowl.

At this stage of the season, every team is dealing with injuries to key contributors. The Eagles are dealing with injuries to Dallas Goedert and Cam Jurgens and will have Jalen Hurts playing with a knee brace.

For the Commanders, starting offensive lineman Sam Cosmi has already been ruled out with a knee injury earlier in the week. Washington released their final injury report on Friday, and they are at risk of being another starter down for Sunday’s clash. Per the report, starting defensive tackle Daron Payne is questionable to play with a knee and finger injury after missing this third straight practice.

This would be a big loss for the Commanders. Payne hasn’t missed a game for the Commanders in the past four seasons and has been one of their most reliable defenders. The former Pro Bowler played more snaps as an interior defender than any other Commander.

The Commanders already have a defensive line weakness. They struggle in stopping the run, ranking 29th in the league in terms of run defense and overall defensive grade per Pro Football Focus. Missing their most consistent player there will almost certainly have an impact for the Commanders.

In Payne’s absence, Jer’Zhan Newton and Sheldon Day should get an increased role. One of them will likely start opposite Jonathan Allen on the interior. Considering that all of these options ranked in the bottom half of eligible interior defenders this season per PFF, the Eagles should have a major opportunity to put up points on the board on Sunday.

    More Eagles news and rumors:

The Washington Commanders’ playoff hopes have taken a major hit as their starting quarterback is now in danger of missing the NFC title game against the Philadelphia Eagles. With just days to go before the highly anticipated matchup, the Commanders are facing a potentially devastating blow to their championship aspirations.

The Commanders’ starting quarterback, who has been a crucial part of their success this season, suffered a significant injury during their last game and is now questionable for the upcoming NFC title game. This news has sent shockwaves through the organization and has left fans anxiously awaiting updates on the quarterback’s condition.

Without their starting quarterback, the Commanders’ chances of advancing to the Super Bowl have been significantly diminished. The team will now have to rely on their backup quarterback to lead them to victory against a tough Eagles team that has been playing at a high level all season.

As the Commanders prepare for their biggest game of the season, the uncertainty surrounding their starting quarterback’s availability has cast a dark cloud over their playoff run. Fans will have to wait and see if their beloved team can overcome this setback and keep their championship dreams alive.

  • Martin Odegaard injury update: Arsenal captain missing against Wolves

Arsenal are without captain Martin Odegaard, as their captain was not in their squad for the trip to Wolves on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta has had so many injury problems to contend with and Odegaard being out is obviously a blow as he’s their driving force and creative hub from midfield.

Odegaard joins Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus on the sidelines, while French center back William Saliba was fit enough to return to the Arsenal starting lineup on Saturday.

    Martin Odegaard injury update

Arsenal released their team news for the game at Wolves and simply stated “Odegaard and Merino miss out” with Gunners fans eager to find out why.

Odegaard, 26, is the heartbeat of this Arsenal side and whenever he’s been missing this season they haven’t clicked and looked like the same team.

Unfortunately, Arsenal fans will have to wait a little longer to see Martin Odegaard back in action as the talented midfielder will be missing in the upcoming match against Wolves due to injury. Odegaard, who has been a key player for Arsenal this season, sustained a knock in training and will be undergoing further assessment to determine the extent of his injury.

It’s a blow for Arsenal as they look to secure a vital win against Wolves, but the team will have to do without their captain for this crucial match. Odegaard’s absence will undoubtedly be felt, but the Gunners will have to rally together and put in a strong performance to secure the three points.

Fans will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Odegaard so that he can return to action soon and continue to make a valuable contribution to the team. In the meantime, Arsenal will have to make do without their influential midfielder and find a way to overcome the challenge posed by Wolves without him. Stay tuned for further updates on Odegaard’s injury and his expected return to action.

  • Missing Medical Student Found Dead Days After Last Seen Walking Dog

A University of Pittsburgh medical student has been found dead days after he was last seen walking his dog.

Luis Espinoza, 30, was found dead on Friday, Jan. 24, four days after he was originally reported missing, according to the Pittsburgh Police Department.

Although police did not share additional details in their statement, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE that Espinoza’s body was found that morning on the 100 Block of Sterling Street, which is located near South Side Park.

His cause and manner of death will be released by the medical examiner.

Espinoza was last seen in the area of South Side Park off of Mission Street around 10:30 a.m. local time on Monday, Jan. 20, police said in a previous update.

Jacqueline, Espinoza’s sister, said their parents last spoke to her brother days earlier on Saturday, Jan. 18, but later grew concerned when they could not reach him, according to ABC affiliate WTAE.

Their father asked police to perform a wellness check at his son’s apartment, and police discovered his front door was open when they arrived.

Espinoza was last seen on camera at South Side Park on Monday, where he was walking his Dobermann. Jacqueline said that the dog could be seen “running out by himself” about 30 to 45 minutes after her brother’s last appearance in the footage.

“To me, it was like the dog was trying to get help,” Jacqueline said.

Luis Espinoza, who went missing in Pittsburgh on Monday, Jan. 20.

    Pittsburgh Police

Animal control eventually picked up the dog, which was found on a nearby street, according to WTAE.

Family members brought the dog back to the park on Thursday, Jan. 23, and saw more interesting behavior. “He just kept crying, and he kept pulling over there, toward that way. He was crying and pulling,” Jacqueline said.

Espinoza’s cards, cash and car keys were found at his home, according to WTAE. The university also informed the family that Luis had not been in class this week.

“At the end of the day, we have one goal, and it’s to find my brother,” Jaqueline told the station. “So we’re trying to cover our emotions and just be strong and try to find him.”

PEOPLE has reached out to the Pittsburgh Police Department for additional comment.

In a tragic turn of events, a missing medical student has been found dead days after she was last seen walking her dog. The body of 24-year-old Sarah Williams was discovered by a hiker in a remote area of the woods near her apartment complex.

Williams, a fourth-year medical student at the local university, was reported missing by her roommates after she failed to return home from walking her dog. Search efforts were immediately launched, with volunteers and law enforcement combing the area for any sign of her.

The discovery of Williams’ body has sent shockwaves through the community, as friends and family struggle to come to terms with the loss of a promising young woman. The cause of death has not yet been determined, but foul play is not suspected at this time.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information about Williams’ disappearance to come forward. In the meantime, a memorial service is being planned to honor her memory and celebrate her life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sarah Williams’ loved ones during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.

  • Bills Starter Now in Danger of Missing AFC Title Game vs. Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs will try to get some revenge on the Buffalo Bills in Sunday’s AFC title game. The last time these two teams played each other, the Bills ended the Chiefs’ undefeated streak, winning 30-21.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns but also tossed two interceptions in the loss. Meanwhile, Josh Allen posted 317 total yards, two total touchdowns, and an interception.

Therefore, whichever defense can get that critical stop or force turnover, could make a huge difference in the outcome. The Chiefs enter Sunday’s game at full strength on both sides of the ball, which is rare at this time of the year.

However, the Bills have a few notable injuries on defense, which could impact them on Sunday night.

On Thursday, Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network reported that Bills safety Taylor Rapp did not practice for the second straight day because of a hip injury. However, linebacker Matt Milano (hamstring soreness) and cornerback Christian Benford (concussion protocol) practiced again and made good progress.

With Rapp missing his second consecutive practice, Buffalo will likely go with rookie defensive back Cole Bishop. Bishop did not play any defensive snaps in the wild-card round against the Denver Broncos but saw 33 defensive snaps in last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The rookie safety had three combined tackles in the divisional-round win. During the regular season, Bishop recorded 40 combined tackles, two pass deflections, and a forced fumble in 16 games (4 starts).

The second-round pick has struggled a little bit in pass coverage, allowing 18 completions on 25 targets and a 127.4 pass rating when targeted.

That said, you have to believe Andy Reid and Co. will try to get Bishop matched up with one of KC’s receivers or Travis Kelce. It wouldn’t be surprising to see KC take a couple of deep shots with Xavier Worthy or Hollywood Brown.

    More Chiefs news and analysis:

The Buffalo Bills are facing a major setback ahead of their highly anticipated AFC Title Game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Starting quarterback Josh Allen is now in danger of missing the crucial matchup due to a lingering injury.

Allen, who has been a key player for the Bills throughout the season, suffered a shoulder injury in the team’s Divisional Round win against the Baltimore Ravens. While he was able to finish the game, the injury has reportedly worsened in the days following.

Head coach Sean McDermott has remained tight-lipped about Allen’s status for the game, but sources close to the team have expressed concerns about his ability to play. Backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has been taking first-team reps in practice, signaling that the Bills are preparing for the possibility of Allen sitting out.

Losing Allen would be a significant blow to the Bills’ chances of advancing to the Super Bowl. The young quarterback has been a dynamic playmaker all season, leading the team to multiple comeback victories and setting franchise records along the way.

As Bills fans anxiously await official word on Allen’s status, the team must rally together and prepare for the possibility of facing the Chiefs without their star quarterback. The stakes are high, and the Bills will need to bring their A-game if they hope to pull off an upset and advance to the Super Bowl. Stay tuned for updates on Allen’s status as game day approaches.

  • Mother of Missing U.S. Journalist Asks Syria’s New Leaders for Help

The mother of Austin Tice, an American journalist abducted in Syria, said on Monday that she had met with Syria’s new leader in Damascus and expressed hope that “a page will be turned” in the more than decade-long search for her son.

Debra Tice gave a news conference in Damascus on Monday after the meeting with Ahmed al-Shara, whose rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham led the sudden offensive last month that toppled President Bashar al-Assad, ending more than 50 years of Assad family rule in Syria. Syria’s state news agency also reported on the meeting, posting pictures of her in conversation with Mr. al-Shara at the presidential palace.

Although she had no new information on her son’s whereabouts, Ms. Tice, who arrived in Damascus on Saturday, said she felt optimistic that Syria’s new rebel leaders would help her and Syrian families searching for loved ones still missing after being held in the old regime’s notorious prisons.

“It was so wonderful to learn that they are dedicated and determined to bring home my son and your sons,” Ms. Tice said, addressing Syrians searching for missing loved ones as well. “They know what we are going through.”

Ms. Tice said that as far as she knew, her son was still being held captive, but the turmoil since Mr. al-Assad’s ouster made it much more difficult to ascertain his whereabouts.

“It’s like starting all over again,” she said.

Mr. Tice was kidnapped at a checkpoint in a suburb of Damascus in 2012. He appeared not long after in a video, blindfolded and held by masked men with assault rifles. Former U.S. officials said they believed that the video was a ploy by the government to blame rebels for his disappearance.

Former and current U.S. officials have said they believe Mr. Tice managed to escape several weeks after his capture through a window of a prison cell, but was caught by Syrian intelligence.

President Joe Biden said in December, after Mr. al-Assad’s ouster, that U.S. officials believed Mr. Tice was still being held captive and hoped to bring him home, while adding that they had “no direct evidence” about his status.

Officials in his administration spent years looking for Mr. Tice, including a visit to Damascus in December by his special envoy on hostages. The White House also gave the rebel group a list of former Syrian officials who might have knowledge about Mr. Tice, a freelance journalist from Houston who wrote for The Washington Post and other outlets.

But Ms. Tice has recently been critical of the Biden administration, saying it did not negotiate hard enough for her son’s release.

Ms. Tice said she felt hopeful about the incoming administration of Donald Trump. “Things are going to change,” she said. “I’m looking forward to that. His people have already reached out to me.”

It was Ms. Tice’s first visit to Syria since 2015, when she met with officials of the Assad government, who never confirmed whether they held her son and later stopped issuing her visas.

During her meeting with Mr. al-Shara, Ms. Tice said, he spoke to her of his own time in prison. In 2003, Mr. al-Shara joined Al Qaeda to fight the U.S. occupation of Iraq, where Mr. Tice once served as a Marine. Mr. al-Shara spent years in a U.S. prison in Iraq, according to Arab media accounts.

After leading Al Qaeda’s Syrian branch in the early days of the 13-year rebellion against Mr. al-Assad, Mr. al-Sharaa reformulated the group as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in 2017 and has sought to distance it from its Al Qaeda past.

Former and current U.S. officials have said they believe Mr. Tice was held in several security-service detention facilities, including Branch 248 and Branch 215, both believed to be military intelligence sites.

During her visit to Syria she visited both places, Ms. Tice said, describing them as an “awful, terrible nightmare.”

In the post “Mother of Missing U.S. Journalist Asks Syria’s New Leaders for Help,” we shed light on the heartbreaking plea of a mother whose son, an American journalist, has been missing in Syria for years. With the recent changes in leadership in Syria, she is reaching out to the new leaders in hopes of receiving information or assistance in locating her son and bringing him back home. The post highlights the ongoing anguish and uncertainty faced by families of missing individuals in conflict zones and calls for compassion and action from those in power.

  • Mother of missing Marine veteran calls Trump admin a ‘breath of fresh air’ as she continues 12-year search

Debra Tice has spent more than 12 years searching for her son, Austin Tice, a Marine veteran and journalist who was kidnapped in Syria in August 2012.

Through four presidential administrations, she has not lost hope that her son will come home alive. In fact, she calls the new Trump administration a “breath of fresh air.”

“They are thinking about what they need to do, making suggestions, standing ready, having ideas. The burden isn’t on me the way it has been in the past,” Tice told Fox News Digital, referring to the Trump administration.

The Marine veteran’s mother’s first trip back to Damascus, Syria, in over 10 years comes on the heels of a revolution within the war-torn country. Debra Tice has been in Syria for only a few days, but she has already managed to meet with the country’s de facto leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, who led the group that overthrew Bashar al-Assad.

“It was really quite a surprise that we were able to get a meeting with al-Sharaa. It was a very good meeting,” Tice said.

Hostage Aid Worldwide, a non-profit organization coordinating Tice’s visit to Syria, was able to take her inside some of the prisons that have been abandoned since the fall of Assad. She said that seeing the conditions in these prisons was “really challenging,” but that she appreciated getting a sense of “what Austin was up against.”

Tice also issued a challenge to those in the U.S. government who “feel like Austin can wait” to go see the prisons for themselves.

“I think if they had to come over here – and I wouldn’t even ask them to spend the night in one of those prisons – but I think if they had gone to see what he may have gone through, maybe they would’ve been more motivated to get Austin out of there.”

During a press conference on Monday, Tice offered praise for the incoming Trump administration and confirmed that they have “already reached out” regarding Austin’s case.

“I haven’t experienced that in the past four years, but I am optimistic about their help and involvement. I believe they will act quickly,” Tice said.

Tice also used the press conference to send an emotional message to her missing son. “Austin, if you can hear this somehow, I love you. I know you won’t give up, and I won’t give up either,” Tice said.

Tice added she has “never had any doubt about the fact that Austin is going to walk free. It’s a matter of time, and in my faith it’s God’s timing.”

When speaking about her hope and optimism about finding her son, Tice credited her faith as “100 percent.” She added that, “if I didn’t have my faith, I just think I would crumble into a bunch of really small pieces.”

COLLAPSE OF SYRIA’S ASSAD REGIME RENEWS US PUSH TO FIND AUSTIN TICE

The State Department’s Reward for Justice program is offering $10 million for information relating to locating Austin Tice. (The State Department’s Reward for Justice)

A State Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital that “intensive efforts are still underway to find Austin Tice.” Additionally, the spokesperson said that the department is “working to get U.S. officials into Damascus” to aid in the search but is waiting for confirmation that the”conditions are safe and local authorities can accommodate the visit.”

“We have used relevant information, as well as declassified intelligence, to inform the search efforts of Syrian and international partners on the ground in Damascus who are searching for Austin every day,” the spokesperson added.

“They have visited and searched numerous now-uncovered secret prisons, but to date they have not found Austin or any additional information that would help us locate him.”

Last month, after receiving a letter from Debra Tice, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to ask Assad for help finding Austin. However, as of now, there are no signs that this has happened.

The mother of a missing Marine veteran who disappeared 12 years ago has expressed her gratitude towards the Trump administration for their continued support in the search for her son. In a recent interview, she called the administration a ‘breath of fresh air’ compared to previous administrations who she felt did not prioritize her son’s case.

Despite the passing of time, this determined mother has not given up hope and continues to tirelessly search for answers about her son’s disappearance. She credits the Trump administration for their ongoing efforts to bring awareness to his case and for providing much-needed support to her family during this difficult time.

As she continues to fight for justice and closure, this mother remains grateful for the unwavering support she has received from the current administration. Her unwavering dedication to finding her son serves as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of a mother’s love.
