That same day, Moore gushed about the love he has for his daughter during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. After host Jennifer Hudson observed that the start of 2025 appeared to have been “amazing” for The Young and the Restless actor, Moore was quick to agree.
“I’m a happy dude, I’m a blessed dude,” he said. While he later reassured fans that the currently airing episodes of S.W.A.T.’s Season 8 were adding to his overall happiness, he identified his daughter as the key contributor.
“That’s my little baby girl,” he said of his toddler. “That’s my miracle. That’s little Frankie. She is the reason I’m so damn happy. And my girl Jesiree.”
“I lived my whole life to make her proud, and when she left, I was lost,” he said of his mother. Though he said he realized at the time that he was “blessed,” he recalled being “in a place of, like, ‘So what?’ Like, ‘What does it all mean? Why am I doing this?’”
It was the arrival of his daughter that changed Moore’s perspective. “And then little Frankie came along, and that’s what it’s all about, right there,” he said.

The couple recently split after nearly five years together, PEOPLE can confirm. TMZ was the first to report the news.
“They are loving friends and co-parents and always will be,” a source tells PEOPLE of the breakup.
The former couple went Instagram official in January 2023, but knew each other for years before then. The pair grew close in 2020 after Moore’s mother died. The S.W.A.T. star, 54, and the model, 41, are parents to a baby girl named Frankie, who they welcomed on Jan. 24, 2023.
In November 2024, Moore spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about his relationship with Dizon, saying although the actress was his “partner” and a “dope-ass mama,” he did not see marriage in the cards for them.
“I didn’t have a good role model of marriage in my life. Not my mother, not my father. Nobody close to me,” he said at the time, adding that he often asks himself, “‘Who made that rule?’ ”

For Moore, the idea of appreciating the moment was especially appealing.
“To me, it’s just like tomorrow’s not guaranteed, but Jesiree, I’ll give you everything I got today and tomorrow. She is my partner. She is the mother of Frankie. Frankie has a dope-ass mama, and I’m going to try to be a dope-ass daddy. And we going to do that until God calls my name,” the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 actor added.

Last summer, Shemar told PEOPLE he was still open to the idea of more kids with Jesiree in the future.
“Possibly. But I ain’t no Spring Chicken and Ms. Thing [Jesiree], she’s already got two wonderful kids — her son, Kayden, who’s 17, and her little daughter Charlie, who’s 6 — and they’re sweethearts,” he said during the June 2024 interview. “And then we got little Frankie. We got our dog, Tyson. So we got a full house.”

Tottenham overcame yet another injury setback to reach the last 16 of the Europa League as their new generation shone in a win over Elfsborg.
Spurs, who were already without 12 players because of injury and ineligibility, lost substitute defender Radu Dragusin when he went down hurt in the second half with the game goalless.
But substitute Dane Scarlett, 20, lifted the mood by heading the home side into a 70th-minute lead before 19-year-old fellow substitute Damola Ajayi made it 2-0.
Seventeen-year-old winger Mikey Moore sealed victory with his first goal for the club in the fourth minute of stoppage time, a wonderful low finish after a powerful run.
Spurs had struggled to find a way through the Swedish team’s stubborn defence in the first half.
Moore went closest before half-time after clever play by Son Heung-min, but Isak Pettersson produced a reflex save to frustrate the home side.
Elfsborg – playing their 16th game in the competition after starting in the first qualifying round – went close themselves through Jalal Abdullai in the second half before Scarlett set Spurs on their way.
Spurs finish the league phase in fourth place with 17 points and can now concentrate on domestic matters until the last-16 stage in March after avoiding a play-off tie in February.

As Oscar contenders woke up to exciting news, with nominations for the 97th Academy Awards announced Thursday morning, many were still dealing with the devastating wildfires that have consumed many neighborhoods across Los Angeles County.
“Life has been full of contrast with all that’s been going on, such incredible highs and devastating lows,” Demi Moore, who was nominated as Best Actress for her role in body-horror film The Substance, told Variety.
“Last night a new fire broke out in Los Angeles, and I was on alert all night because it wasn’t that far from us,” she added. “I’m feeling some deep humility on many, many levels.”

Kris Bowers, who is nominated for Best Original Score for animated film The Wild Robot and who took home the Oscar last year for Best Documentary Short Film for The Last Repair Shop, said he was safe despite the fires that displaced him and his family.
“I am just returning home with my daughter and wife (who’s expecting!) due to the wildfires, but my family and my little basement studio where I wrote The Wild Robot is safe, thank goodness,” the composer told Yahoo Entertainment in a statement. “This morning’s nomination and outpouring of love from the audience has been a source of great strength and reassurance during what has been a supremely challenging year here in LA.”
James Mangold, who was nominated for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for A Complete Unknown, told Variety, “I was in my house with no power [because of the L.A. wildfires], with my wife looking at a cellphone on a single bar of data watching an infinitesimally small telecast.”
Composer John Powell, who was evacuated from his home, told Yahoo Entertainment in a statement that he was completely surprised by the nominations in general, saying he didn’t realize they were happening today.
“I actually thought it had been moved a week, so I was woken by my agent calling, then Jon Chu FaceTiming me (don’t worry, it was dark so he didn’t see me naked). All this while two large poodles were fighting for room on the pull-out couch I’m currently sleeping on after being evacuated,” Powell, who was nominated for Best Score for Wicked, said. “So definitely a weird time to get this news. But I’m just glad to have been part of a film that can bring great joy to people — it makes me feel somewhat useful.”
The show must go on?
Despite some calls from celebrities to either cancel the Oscars this year or reenvision the event as a fundraiser for wildfire victims, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has stated that the awards show will go on as scheduled on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, with Conan O’Brien hosting the telecast on ABC.
“After consultation with ABC, our board, and other key stakeholders in the Los Angeles and film communities, we have made the carefully considered decision to proceed with the 97th Oscars ceremony as planned on March 2,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer told the Los Angeles Times in a statement published Jan. 15.
That’s not to say that the Academy is keeping to its usual script with the annual awards show. In addition to having postponed the nominations announcement twice, some changes will be made to the program itself.
“During this year’s ceremony, we will honor the talented filmmakers nominated today, pay tribute to our brave first responders and celebrate the enduring spirit of Los Angeles and the film industry,” Kramer said alongside Academy President Janet Yang at the beginning of Thursday’s nominations announcement.
No live performances of nominated songs
The ceremony will also drop the live performances of the nominated songs, according to Variety.
“We will celebrate their artistry through personal reflections from the teams who bring these songs to life. All of this, and more, will uncover the stories and inspiration behind this year’s nominees,” Kramer and Yang wrote in a letter to Academy members, the outlet reported.

President Donald Trump pardoned approximately 1,400 defendants charged by the U.S. Department of Justice for their roles in the Jan. 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol. Many of those charged were convicted and sentenced for violence against Capitol Police officers that day. Johnson responded to the pardons, which included 11 people from Wisconsin.
Johnson: “I think there was a grotesque miscarriage of justice throughout the Biden administration — really a lawless administration. But as relates to January 6th, I think so many of these people were persecuted, weren’t offered speedy trials. So there were many harms that needed to be rectified there. Personally, I probably would have done it in different stages, been a little more selective, but I think in the end, President Trump apparently just decided to pardon them all. And I, truthfully, don’t have any problem with that. I don’t think anybody is really a true danger to society.”
U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore did not attend President Trump’s inauguration, and instead was in her district in Milwaukee on Jan. 20 to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day. She had sharp words about his pardons of the Jan. 6 defendants.
Moore: “Maybe I’m cowardly, but I’m terrified. One of my staffers said that she went to the cafeteria in this building and one of the January 6th people were there. I do know that most of the nonviolent, you know, little old ladies that had handmade signs were not the people who were indicted and in jail. The people who were indicted and jailed, I mean, they attacked police officers, they directed people to be violent, they had caches of — and I’m terrified, and my staff, I mean, they were actually in this building. I’m scared of them, and I do think that we have seen Republicans here, you know, who are very, they’re very, very careful not to criticize Trump, but we have seen them stumbling over their words as they have been stunned by this. I think they thought that there would be a little bit more parsing — this one and that one — but these 1,500 commutations and releases are absolutely stunning, and I think that it’s going to be very difficult, you know, to talk about law enforcement and initiatives in this government when we have let all these lawless people out.”
The city of Eau Claire has been following law enforcement officers from outside the area increasingly transporting unhoused individuals in need of shelter or mental health services into his city – even when shelters are closed and services unavailable. Nick said these people end up being left at gas stations or otherwise without help to stay out of the cold. He has asked Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul for legal guidance on this practice, which he said is happening across the state as homeless populations rise.
Nick: “I know it is an issue around the state and colleagues — my fellow city attorneys, corporation counsel — have reached out to express shared experiences and support. And so I hope that those voices are raised in other portions of the community, ’cause it most certainly is an issue in the Madison area, in the Milwaukee area and Fox Valley, Wausau, Stevens Point, La Crosse — all are having these same types of challenges.”

From the sounds of it, Michigan and the NCAA won’t have a resolution in regards to the investigation into the football program and its alleged illegal scouting and sign stealing scheme any time soon.
Yahoo Sports reported Tuesday that it obtained part of a 137-page document sent from U-M officials to the NCAA which paints the picture that the university has no intention to enter into a negotiated resolution.
The report states that U-M not only defends former head coach Jim Harbaugh, current head coach Sherrone Moore and other staff members, but also notably Connor Stalions, the recruiting assistant who orchestrated the allegedly illegal plot and later resigned. In the reported document, Michigan argues the system in place had “minimal relevance to competition” and was not fully proven upon investigation.
It continues, in part, that the notice of allegations the university received prior to the start of the 2024 season holds “numerous factually unsupported infractions, exaggerates aggravating factors and ignores mitigating facts,” according to the report.
U-M received the NOA about three weeks after the NCAA sent a draft NOA that laid out potential violations and punishments for the Michigan staffers, including Moore. ESPN in early August obtained the draft NOA, which said Moore, who immediately took over after Jim Harbaugh left for the NFL, could face a suspension and show-cause penalty. Moore allegedly deleted 52 text messages with Stalions, a Level II NCAA violation, the same day he was reported to be the ringleader of the sign-stealing operation.
In total, Michigan was alleged to have 11 violations, six of which were deemed Level I or the most serious of infractions, yet the document sent from Ann Arbor deems most do not have “merit or credible evidence” to support.
Throughout the saga, many rumors have floated around about who alerted authorities to U-M’s supposed improprieties. According to the recent document, the tipster came from inside the program.
Per Yahoo’s report, “Michigan believes the confidential leaker was used by the NCAA to produce at least some of the charges in the notice of allegations, something in which it expresses ‘concern.’”
Separately, Yahoo reports that former star Michigan running back and assistant coach Mike Hart were at least two members who “raised concerns” over the alleged sign-stealing campaign. Hart reportedly told former defensive coordinator Jesse Minter about a phone call he received from a Rutgers staff member in 2023 about Michigan’s sign-stealing “going further” than most do.
The next steps are a hearing before the Division I Committee on Infractions, which can both conduct hearings as well as impose penalties. According to Yahoo, however, U-M will request “a pre-hearing conference” to get into further detail about the whistleblower and their participation in the allegations against the program.
One of the most serious allegations in the report − Moore deleting the texts − was also addressed. Moore said he wasn’t trying “to hide anything” rather he was “extremely angry” that a single person would jeopardize the program and the kids.
U-M points to a number of the since recovered messages to be irrelevant in nature in its response, including discussion about a birthday for a recruit.
However, Yahoo’s story continues to state “several of the messages were related to sign stealing.”
Included in the reported messages, one from August 2022 that references “a juicy report for you on CSU,” another from that October about Michigan State’s blitz tendencies and a third in November suggesting to Moore that U-M change its signals prior to playing Ohio State in Columbus, which Moore reportedly responded he will “think about it.”
Harbaugh, Stalions, former recruiting staffer and star quarterback Denard Robinson and former linebackers coach Chris Partridge are accused of Level I NCAA violations. Meanwhile, ex-defensive coaches Jesse Minter and Steve Clinkscale were named for recruiting violations unrelated to the Stalions case. The NOA said there was no evidence Harbaugh knew about sign stealing, but was accused of once again not cooperating with the NCAA and denying requests to look through his messages and phone records.
Harbaugh was separately suspended for one year and hit with a four-year show-cause order by the NCAA after he was found to have demonstrated both “unethical conduct” and a failure to promote “an atmosphere of compliance” as it pertains to an investigation into impermissible recruiting during a COVID-19 dead period in 2021.
“Today’s announcement mirrors the resolution we negotiated with the NCAA enforcement staff that was subsequently accepted by the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions in April 2024,” athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement at the time. “We have accepted the sanctions and have already served many of the penalties outlined in the findings. Our staff has worked to improve processes and we are focused on the future and our commitment to integrity and compliance.”

The University of Michigan has come to the defense of offensive lineman Connor Stalions and assistant coach Sherrone Moore in a recent dispute with the NCAA. According to a report released yesterday, the NCAA has been investigating allegations of improper benefits received by Stalions, a standout player for the Wolverines.
In response to the allegations, Michigan has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and has stood by Stalions and Moore, stating that they have always conducted themselves with the utmost integrity and have followed all NCAA rules and regulations.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh has expressed his full support for both Stalions and Moore, emphasizing their dedication to the team and their commitment to upholding the values of the university.

“[Frankie] is the reason I’m so damn happy, and my girl Jesiree [Dizon],” he said. “That’s my little baby girl. That’s my miracle. That’s little Frankie.”
“That girl truly has given me purpose,” he added. “She saved my life.”

“My mama was my everything,” he said. “I lived my whole life to make her proud and when she left, I was lost.”
“I was in a place of so what, like what does it all mean and why am I doing this,” he said. “And, then little Frankie came along and that’s what it’s all about right there.”

The S.W.A.T.star, who welcomed his first child in 2023 with Dizon, said that her birth was orchestrated by his mother and God.
“Y’all know that Mama’s up in heaven and her dream was to see this happen,” he said. “She wanted to be a grandma, and Mama made sure I wasn’t alone. And, I can’t prove it, but I think between God and my Mama, they made sure that I wasn’t alone.”
When asked if he wanted to have another child, Moore shared that between Frankie and Dizon’s two other children, a son named Kaiden and a daughter named Charli from previous relationships, the house is full. He also confronted his own mortality, saying that he wants to devote the rest of his years to his daughter.
“Whatever time left God willing, I want to give it all to my baby girl,” he said.
