MSU, which is ranked No. 7 in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll, is coming off an 73-51victory over Minnesota on Jan. 28 in East Lansing. USC (12-8, 4-5 Big Ten) is unranked and is coming off an 82-76 home loss to rival UCLA in its most recent game on Jan. 27.
This will be just the eighth all-time meeting between the two programs, with MSU (18-2 overall, 9-0 Big Ten) holding a 4-3 lead in the series. The Spartans won the last meeting between the teams, 72-62, in 2023 in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
