    Country music star walks off stage, postpones multiple shows


    Kelsea Ballerini took to social media Sunday to announce that she would be in Philadelphia for her show on Monday.

    And that news was welcomed by her fans because she, apparently, was pretty darned ill heading into the weekend. In fact, Ballerini had to walk off the stage for her show in Buffalo after just 20 minutes. She gave it a go there, according to Newsweek, after telling fans that she had been battling the flu.

    But she didn’t last long until she walked off the stage, and a representative came on to address the crowd.

    “This is the conversation I did not want to have tonight,” he told fans. “She just can’t finish. She is just too sick.”

    Ballerini then took to social media to apologize.

    “Buffalo, I am so, so, so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” she said. “I am sicker than I am trying to be. I didn’t want to let anyone down tonight, but I got through the first songs tonight I couldn’t do it.”

    Ballerini then move weekend dates in Toronto and Pittsburg to April, per Newsweek.

    “I will make them the best shows I have ever played in my life,” she promised. “I hope you understand, nad thank you for the grace to be human, and I love you.”

    Ballerini is slated to play the Wells Fargo Center on Monday with show time listed as 7 p.m.

  • Neil Gaiman, facing multiple allegations of sexual abuse, is dropped by Dark Horse Comics


    NEW YORK (AP) — One of Neil Gaiman’s publishers has dropped him as the British author faces multiple allegations of sexual assault and harassment. And his name is not on the website of the agency which has for years handled his speaking appearances.

    Dark Horse Comics announced on X last weekend that it would no longer release its illustrated series based on Gaiman’s novel, “Anansi Boys.” The seventh of eight planned editions came out earlier this month.

    “Dark Horse takes seriously the allegations against Neil Gaiman and we are no longer publishing his works,” reads the statement from Dark Horse, which still includes Gaiman’s books on its website.

    Allegations against Gaiman, known for such bestsellers as “Coraline” and “The Sandman” series, first emerged last summer on a Tortoise Media podcast. After a lengthy New York Magazine article in January included allegations from eight women of assault, abuse and coercion, Gaiman responded with a blog post, denying any wrongdoing.

    “Like most of us, I’m learning, and I’m trying to do the work needed, and I know that that’s not an overnight process,” he wrote. “At the same time, as I reflect on my past – and as I re-review everything that actually happened as opposed to what is being alleged – I don’t accept there was any abuse.”

    Gaiman’s office and his literary agent did not immediately respond to requests for comment Monday.

    Gaiman has worked with numerous publishers over the years. Two of them, HarperCollins and W.W. Norton, have said they have no plans to release his books in the future. Others, including Bloomsbury, have so far declined comment.

    Gaiman still lists the Stephen Barclay Agency on his website as a contact for personal appearances, but his name doesn’t appear on the agency’s client list. Barclay did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

    Disney has paused a planned adaptation of Gaiman’s “The Graveyard Book,” while Netflix is still scheduled to release a second season based on “The Sandman.”

    Emergency crews are responding to an explosion in Northeast Philadelphia after a small plane crashed in the area of Roosevelt Boulevard and Cottman Avenue, Philadephia police confirmed to CBS News Philadelphia.

    Two people were aboard the plane, according to police. There are other injuries reported on the ground, police added.

    Multiple homes are on fire in the area of Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard following the crash, fire officials said.

    The Grizzlies are coming off a 139-126 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. The team hasn’t released an official injury report. However, the Grizzlies are trending to be shorthanded. Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, Santi Aldama, and Jake LaRavia were absent in Friday night’s win.

    Injuries have been a theme for the Jazz this season. After a one-game return to the lineup, John Collins has been ruled out again, though this time due to an illness. The veteran forward has been terrific this season for the rebuilding Jazz. This has led to speculation that he could get moved to a contending team in the upcoming weeks. 

    It looks like second-year wing Brice Sensabaugh could make his return to the lineup after missing Utah’s last game with a sprained ankle. Sensabaugh has played well in recent weeks off of Will Hardy’s bench. 

    It appears that Jordan Clarkson is progressing towards a return from the foot injury that has hampered him this season. While he’s still listed as out, we could see him back in the lineup within the next couple of weeks. 

    Despite the absence of Cody Williams, the Jazz will continue to rely on their youth. It will be a good chance for Isaiah Collier and Kyle Filipowski to measure up against fellow rookies Jaylen Wells and Zach Edey. Both youngsters have been key contributors on a good Grizzlies team.
