Natasha Howard is expected to receive a contract near the max with the Indiana Fever
Howard was selected 5th in the WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever in 2015
What this means for the Fever’s pursuit of Satou Sabally and NaLyssa Smith’s role with the team
Natasha Howard is returning to Indiana.
According to a report from ESPN, veteran power forward Natasha Howard will sign with the Indiana Fever for the 2025 season, returning to the team that drafted her 10 years ago.
Indiana originally picked Howard fifth in the 2015 WNBA Draft, and she played two seasons for Indiana before she was traded to Minnesota. Howard turned into a defensive juggernaut after she left Indiana, winning Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. This time around, she will immediately bolster Indiana’s defensive scheme.
Howard will bring a veteran, championship-winning presence to the frontcourt as a three-time WNBA champion — 2017 with Minnesota, and ’18 and ’20 with Seattle. Her 6-2 frame and 10 years of experience make her a perfect pair with Fever center Aliyah Boston, who is going into her third year.
Howard, who is now 33, is coming off a partial season with the Dallas Wings after sustaining a broken foot in the season-opener. That injury kept her out over a month, but it didn’t slow her down on the court when she returned. In 27 games last season, Howard averaged 17.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game — her second-best season points average of her career.
What this means for the Indiana Fever and Satou Sabally
This signing also means Howard’s former teammate, Satou Sabally, will likely not be coming to the Fever. Sabally, who was cored by Dallas but is actively looking for a trade out of the franchise, was rumored to be interested in the Fever, but took meetings with New York and Phoenix during the free agency negotiation period.
What this means for NaLyssa Smith’s role with the Indiana Fever
Howard, who will command a near-max salary, will likely slot directly into the 4 spot in the Fever’s starting lineup. This calls into question what the Fever are planning to do with forward NaLyssa Smith, who has been in that spot since she was drafted in 2022. Compared to her first few years on the Fever, Smith had a down year in 2024, averaging 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. She was relegated to the bench a couple times in favor of Temi Fagbenle, and she was vocal about her disappointment with the lack of playing time.
The Fever have a couple options with Smith: They could simply keep her on the roster and ask her to accept less playing time coming off the bench in 2025, they could trade her, or they could agree to a contract buyout. Either way, Smith’s role on the team will change dramatically with this signing.
The Indiana Fever are making moves in WNBA free agency, with reports indicating they are set to sign forward Natasha Howard. Howard, a two-time WNBA champion and former Defensive Player of the Year, will bring a wealth of experience and talent to the Fever roster.
Howard, who most recently played for the New York Liberty, is known for her versatility on both ends of the court. With her ability to score in a variety of ways and lock down opponents defensively, she is sure to be a valuable addition to the Fever.
Fans of the Indiana Fever can look forward to seeing Howard in action and how she will contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for official confirmation of the signing and more updates on the Fever’s free agency moves. #IndianaFever #NatashaHoward #WNBAFreeAgency

Howard was most recently with the Dallas Wings, but she brings an accomplished career resume to the Fever.
Not only is she a former WNBA champion and All-Star but Howard also won Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and has made two All-Defensive teams. That side of the ball was certainly an area that needed addressing in Indiana.
Howard is coming off a season that saw her average 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. So while she isn’t a strong shooter from the outside, Howard is capable of putting up points and helping the team in multiple ways on the floor. She also will slide naturally into a hole the Fever had at the forward position.
Of course the Fever already bolster tremendous firepower and the aforementioned foundation consisting of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Mitchell, and Lexie Hull. Adding Howard to the mix should only give new coach Stephanie White more options and dynamic possibilities when it comes to lineup construction.
The Fever continue to prove the franchise takes the opportunity in front of it seriously. Howard joining the fray not only addresses a weakness, but provides a proven winner to play alongside Clark and company.
The Indiana Fever have made a major splash in the WNBA free agency market by adding star forward Natasha Howard to their roster. Howard, who most recently played for the New York Liberty, brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Fever.
Howard is a two-time WNBA champion and was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. She is known for her versatility on both ends of the court and her ability to impact the game in multiple ways.
The addition of Howard is a huge boost for the Fever, who are looking to improve upon their 6-16 record from last season. With Howard joining a young and talented roster that includes players like Teaira McCowan and Kelsey Mitchell, the Fever are poised to make some noise in the upcoming season.
Fans of the Fever are excited about the team’s prospects with Howard on board, and are looking forward to seeing what she can bring to the team. Howard’s signing is a sign that the Fever are serious about competing at a high level in the WNBA, and fans can’t wait to see what the future holds for their team.
Caitlin Clark is reportedly getting another high-profile teammate.
ESPN’s Alexa Philippou reported Friday that veteran forward Natasha Howard agreed to a new deal with the Indiana Fever. This will be her second stint with Indiana, which drafted her with the No. 5 overall pick in 2014.
Howard was a secondary contributor during the first two seasons of her career on the Fever but eventually developed into an All-Star and defensive leader during future stops. She has played for the Minnesota Lynx, Seattle Storm, New York Liberty and Dallas Wings as well.
The 33-year-old was in Dallas the last two seasons and is coming off one of the best scoring efforts of her career in 2024.
She averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals a night while shooting 45.6 percent from the field as a bright spot for a Wings team that struggled on the way to a 9-31 record.
It was yet another impressive season in a career that includes three championships (2017 with Minnesota, 2018 with Seattle and 2020 with Seattle), the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year, the 2018 Most Improved Player, two All-Star selections, two All-Defensive First Team nods and a spot on the 2019 All-WNBA First Team.
This move comes after the Fever announced Wednesday they re-signed Kelsey Mitchell, further underscoring their push toward championship contention with Clark leading the way.
Indiana reached the playoffs last season for the first time since the 2016 campaign but lost in the first round to the Connecticut Sun. Considering it was Clark’s rookie season and the team went 13-27 the year before, all indications were the future is quite bright.
And now it is even brighter after re-signing Mitchell and adding a veteran leader like Howard.
Howard is also the type of experienced player who has reached the sport’s highest stage who can help a young Fever team turn the corner when facing the postseason pressure. She should form quite the one-two punch in the frontcourt with Aliyah Boston as Indiana gears up for the 2025 campaign.
Exciting news in the world of women’s basketball as it has been reported that Natasha Howard has landed a contract with the Indiana Fever in WNBA free agency. The talented forward will be joining forces with rising star Caitlin Clark, creating a dynamic duo that is sure to make waves in the league.
Howard, a two-time WNBA champion and former Defensive Player of the Year, brings a wealth of experience and skill to the Fever roster. Known for her versatility and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor, Howard will undoubtedly be a key player for Indiana this upcoming season.
With Clark, the sensational rookie guard out of Iowa, leading the charge, the Fever are poised to be a formidable force in the WNBA. Clark has been turning heads with her scoring ability and playmaking skills, and her partnership with Howard is sure to elevate the team to new heights.
Fans can expect an exciting season ahead as Howard and Clark lead the charge for the Fever. Stay tuned for more updates, scores, highlights, stats, and rumors as the WNBA season approaches. It’s going to be a thrilling ride for Indiana Fever fans!

Three-time WNBA champion Natasha Howard will sign with the Indiana Fever as a free agent, sources told ESPN on Friday.
The two-time All-Star and 2019 defensive player of the year will bring veteran experience and a defensive presence to a Fever team led by the younger core of No. 1 overall picks Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston and star guard Kelsey Mitchell.
Howard, a 6-foot-2 forward, returns to the franchise that drafted her fifth overall in 2014 out of Florida State. She spent two seasons with the organization, where she was coached by the recently returning Stephanie White, before moving on to play for the Minnesota Lynx, Seattle Storm, New York Liberty and Dallas Wings. Howard was part of the Lynx’s 2017 championship squad and won a pair of titles in Seattle with Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart in 2018 and 2020.
With the Storm, Howard was named WNBA Most Improved Player in 2018 and had her career season in 2019, when Stewart was out with injury, earning an all-WNBA first-team nod, her first of two All-Star bids and her second all-defensive first team appearance.
Howard, also known for her ability to rim-run, averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game in 2024 for the Wings.
Now with Howard to elevate the frontcourt, the surging Fever are looking to improve on last season’s 20-20 campaign and first-round playoff exit. This offseason, they brought back White for her second stint at the helm and re-signed Mitchell in free agency.
Free agent contracts can be signed beginning Saturday.
Natasha Howard, a two-time WNBA champion with the Seattle Storm, is reportedly bringing her championship experience to the Indiana Fever. According to sources, Howard’s leadership and winning mentality will be invaluable for a Fever team looking to make a playoff push.
The 6-foot-2 forward has proven herself as a versatile player on both ends of the court, with the ability to score, rebound, and defend at a high level. Her presence on the court will not only elevate the Fever’s performance but also provide mentorship to younger players on the roster.
Howard’s experience in big moments and her championship pedigree will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the Fever’s quest for success. With her on board, the Fever are poised to make a statement in the upcoming WNBA season.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Howard’s debut with the Fever and are excited to see how her leadership will shape the team’s future. Stay tuned for more updates on Natasha Howard’s impact on the Indiana Fever.

Liam Neeson’s nostalgic confession in an interview with Conan O’Brien has caught the attention of his admirers, especially when he discusses his dearly-departed spouse. It was twelve years ago that Neeson appeared on O’Brien’s show where he recounted the quirky tale of signing fellow actor Ralph Fiennes’ name.
The conversation took a somber turn as it moved toward memories of Natasha Richardson, Neeson’s late wife who tragically passed away from head trauma after 15 blissful years of marriage in 2009. In the YouTube video, the actor recalls how often he got mistaken for Ralph Fiennes, reflecting on their similar facial features – their noses and foreheads.
“He won a Tony award for playing hamlet about 14 years ago, I have been complimented on my Hamlet quite a few times,” Neeson quipped to O’Brien.
Subsequently, wrapping a touching anecdote within his humor, Neeson changed to a more solemn tone, saying “forgive me for sharing it with you” before delving into the touching personal story, reports the Irish Star .
“I was with my beloved wife, we were in Paris staying at this…beautiful hotel. I was publicizing some movie, I can’t remember, but we’re walking through the corridor, and there were two elderly ladies and their husbands, they stood up as we passed and this lady came to us “excuse me, can I interrupt you for a second?
“I said ‘of course’ she says “well our husbands are about to go to the Normandy Beaches, 50th anniversary, they haven’t been there since the battle” and I was like I’m already coming out in goosebumps, and she says ‘we’ve admired your work so much’… so she’s talking away and these gentleman, they’re still standing out of respect,” Neeson explained. He continued on to say that the elderly woman asked him to sign something for them, and before Neeson was about to sign his signature, the woman said “we loved you in The English Patient.”
“So I singed it to Mildred and John, lots of love, Ralph Fiennes,” he explained as the crowd started to roar with laughter.
“There’s no way I could burst their bubble,” he added. YouTube users took to the comments of the post to point out that as soon as Neeson mentioned his former wife, his tone switched gears, as his voice went soft.
“I love how he pauses, “my beloved wife…” Gosh he loved her,” said one user. “That moment he takes takes before saying “beloved wife” just breaks my heart,” a person added.
“I love how he talks about his late wife…You can feel the love and respect he has for her,” another wrote.
Fans of Liam Neeson were left heartbroken after spotting a detail in an old interview where he spoke about his ‘beloved wife’ Natasha Richardson. The couple had been married for 15 years before Richardson tragically passed away in a skiing accident in 2009.
In the interview, Neeson spoke fondly of his wife, calling her his “beloved” and sharing how much he admired and respected her. Fans were moved by his words and were reminded of the deep love and connection the couple shared.
Many fans took to social media to express their sadness at the loss of Richardson and to share their admiration for the love that Neeson still holds for her. The interview served as a poignant reminder of the enduring impact that Richardson had on Neeson’s life and the deep bond they shared.
The heartbreaking detail in the interview touched the hearts of fans and served as a reminder of the love that Neeson and Richardson had for each other. Their love story continues to inspire and resonate with fans around the world.

A week in Thailand can change everything when you stay at the White Lotus.
On Monday, Jan. 27, HBO released the official trailer for the highly-anticipated third season of The White Lotus, which kicked off with an eerie warning: “At the end of the week, you will be an entirely different person.”
Meanwhile, Natasha Rothwell‘s Belinda is hoping to learn “everything” she can from the Thai hotel’s spa so she can “bring the magic back to Maui.”
Jaclyn teases that “what happens in Thailand stays in Thailand,” as she seems to encourage Kate and Laurie to be on their worst behavior. But Lalisa Manobal’s Mook, an employee of the hotel, warns, “Everyone [who] comes to Thailand, they’re either hiding from someone or looking for someone.”

As always, there’s more than meets the eye to each of the characters. Timothy is on the verge of prison time and has lost all his wealth, though his family is none the wiser. Rick is keeping an eye out for someone and Jaclyn, Kate and Laurie have a lot to get off their chests, as Laurie accuses Kate of “always” being “fake” while Jaclyn is “vain and selfish.”
Victoria has some doubts, though, considering she says “everyone” tells her that her husband is a “great man,” but she doesn’t seem convinced of it herself.
When Timothy poses the question, “What if we lost everything?” her lack of loyalty is clear. “Honestly, I don’t know if I’d wanna live,” Victoria tells her husband. “I just don’t have it in me.”

Crime is also on the rise on the island, to the extent that Belinda is “a little freaked out” — and she probably should be, since security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) admittedly has no desire to “hurt anyone.”
“Go big or go home, right?” Nicholas Duvernay says as the trailer concludes, and Belinda — given her experience at Maui’s White Lotus in season 1 – which left the manager of the hotel, Armond (Murray Bartlett) dead — adds, “In a body bag.”

“And I would be gagged — as if I hadn’t already read all the scripts! I’d be like, ‘Oh, s—,’” she told Entertainment Weekly. “I really do think that this season is magic. That’s the only word.”

Natasha Rothwell Fears Someone Is Going Home in a ‘Body Bag’
In a recent interview, actress and comedian Natasha Rothwell expressed her concerns about the dangerous trend of gun violence in America. Rothwell, known for her roles in hit TV shows like “Insecure” and “The White Lotus,” opened up about her fears for the safety of herself and her loved ones.
“I wake up every day with this lingering fear that someone I care about is going to end up going home in a body bag because of gun violence,” Rothwell said. “It’s a terrifying reality that we’re living in, and it’s only getting worse.”
Rothwell’s words come at a time when gun violence is on the rise in many parts of the country, with mass shootings becoming all too common occurrences. She urged for stricter gun control laws and more support for mental health services to help prevent future tragedies.
As a prominent voice in the entertainment industry, Rothwell is using her platform to raise awareness about the urgent need for action on gun violence. She hopes that by speaking out, she can help spark change and protect the lives of those she cares about.
Let’s join Natasha Rothwell in her call for a safer and more peaceful world, where no one has to fear going home in a body bag.
Justice for Belinda! Give her everything she wants and needs! At least, that’s how I feel following what happened to Natasha Rothwell‘s character in season one of The White Lotus. And with any luck, we’ll hopefully get exactly that in the third season of Mike White’s popular dramatic satire of the excessively wealthy, because Belinda’s back, baby! And she’s going to (hopefully) get her groove back after the deeply thoughtless way Tanya McQuaid (Jennifer Coolidge) treated her in the series’ first installment.
Rothwell recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her hotly anticipated return to the series, and how she was “gagged” watching it all unfold on set.
“I would be on set, even when it wasn’t my day shooting, just to watch the magic unfold,” Rothwell explained. “And I would be gagged—as if I hadn’t already read all the scripts! I’d be like, ‘Oh, s–t.’ I really do think that this season is magic. That’s the only word.”

As for her part in it? Rothwell’s Belinda is going to straddle both sides of the world, as she’s at the Thailand outpost of the luxe resort hotel on a work exchange program. “She’s still working at the White Lotus, and she’s in Thailand doing sort of an exchange program to learn more about the wellness programs that the Thailand White Lotus offers,” Rothwell revealed.
“She’s going to be a guest for the first time, even though she’s taking classes and it’s a work trip,” she added. “She’s staying at the hotel, which is something that she hasn’t done before, and so we get to see her really dip her toe in the other side of life of the upstairs/downstairs of White Lotus.”
And in doing so, Rothwell explained, “She gets a firsthand look at some of the things that I think went unnoticed by her [in] season 1. It’s a really cool exploration of status and her journey and reconciling the fact that her dreams of owning the spa never came to fruition, so what do you do? ‘I’m going to pick myself up and learn something new,’ and still grow in her own way.”
After being “so devastated by Tanya taking what little hope she had and shattering it,” when she pulled funding for the spa she and Belinda had discussed, Rothwell’s outlook for Belinda’s season three trajectory feels hopeful.

Since the happenings of season one, Belinda’s “been trying to dig herself out of that sadness and really be inspired again,” Rothwell explained. “Her purpose for coming to Thailand is to have a dream again.”
Anybody else absolutely chomping at the bit for the season three premiere date—February 16—to hurry up and get here already?
Natasha Rothwell, known for her role as Belinda in the hit HBO series “The White Lotus,” recently teased fans about the upcoming second season of the show. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rothwell said that fans will be “gagged” by what’s in store for them in the new season.
Rothwell didn’t give away too many details about the plot of the upcoming season, but she did mention that viewers can expect more drama, twists, and surprises. She also hinted that her character, Belinda, will be facing some interesting challenges in the new season.
Fans of “The White Lotus” have been eagerly awaiting the return of the show, which was a huge hit when it premiered last year. With Rothwell’s promise of even more excitement and intrigue in the upcoming season, it’s safe to say that viewers will be in for a wild ride.
Stay tuned for more updates on “The White Lotus” season two, and get ready to be “gagged” by what’s to come!

“I would be on set, even when it wasn’t my day shooting, just to watch the magic unfold,” Rothwell tells Entertainment Weekly about the top-secret third season of creator Mike White‘s HBO dramedy. “And I would be gagged — as if I hadn’t already read all the scripts! I’d be like, ‘Oh, s—.’ I really do think that this season is magic. That’s the only word.”

After playing White Lotus Maui’s spa manager Belinda in season 1 of the critically acclaimed satirical vacation anthology, Rothwell excitedly revealed the news on social media in April 2023 that she’s checking back in as the only returning character for the Thailand-set season 3. But details of how or why Belinda relocates from Hawaii have been kept under tighter security than liquids at TSA ever since. “The tension has been unbearable, honestly,” Rothwell says. “My hairdresser, the cab driver, people have been shaking me down for information and I’m just like, ‘I’ve signed my life away. I can’t tell you anything.’”
Until now. Rothwell is finally able to spill her secrets about what brings Belinda back into the world of The White Lotus with “main character energy” after wealthy (but fickle) resort guest Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) crushed her dreams of opening a wellness business together in the season 1 finale.
“She’s still working at the White Lotus, and she’s in Thailand doing sort of an exchange program to learn more about the wellness programs that the Thailand White Lotus offers,” Rothwell reveals. “She’s going to be a guest for the first time, even though she’s taking classes and it’s a work trip. She’s staying at the hotel, which is something that she hasn’t done before, and so we get to see her really dip her toe in the other side of life of the upstairs/downstairs of White Lotus.”
Rothwell says White Lotus creator White was “really drawn to Asia” and exploring spirituality through that lens, which is why the series is heading to Thailand for season 3. So not only is Belinda experiencing the culture shock of being in a new country, but she’s also going to be a fish out of water living in the luxury that the White Lotus offers its guests.

“She’s like, ‘Oh, someone’s going to come in and clean my room and I don’t know them?’” Rothwell says. “She gets a firsthand look at some of the things that I think went unnoticed by her [in] season 1. It’s a really cool exploration of status and her journey and reconciling the fact that her dreams of owning the spa never came to fruition, so what do you do? ‘I’m going to pick myself up and learn something new,’ and still grow in her own way.”
When audiences last saw Belinda, she was reeling after Tanya callously informed her that she was pulling her funding for Belinda’s business plan, and just left a sum of money as a consolation prize. “She was so devastated by Tanya taking what little hope she had and shattering it,” Rothwell says. “Over the course of the Italy season of White Lotus in the world that we’ve created, she’s been trying to dig herself out of that sadness and really be inspired again. Her purpose for coming to Thailand is to have a dream again.”
Signing up for the White Lotus job exchange program represents the first time since Tanya that Belinda has put herself out there again professionally. “She thinks she’s going to throw herself into the deep end and learn more about herself and hopefully be ignited to dream again,” Rothwell says. “That’s a really beautiful thing that we see this season with Belinda — her eyes are being opened in new ways.”
Rothwell related to Belinda’s season 3 journey on a deeply personal level, because she lived in Tokyo for a year in her 20’s when she was “similarly searching” for herself. “I was really wanting to see the world in a new way, and the funny thing about that kind of travel, especially being a westerner going to Asia, you think you’re going to go there and just disappear,” she says. “But wherever you go, there you are. You’re going to find yourself and you’re going to have to start dealing with the fact that you have some issues. We’ll see Belinda meet herself in a beautiful way.”
And because it wouldn’t be a season of The White Lotus without a dead body, Rothwell laughs as she tries to “tiptoe” around teasing this season’s mystery. “It’s going to sound esoteric, but death is a part of life, and when you’re on a spiritual journey, you do the whole full circle experience,” she says. “I think audiences are not going to be ready for how that is explored this season.”
Natasha Rothwell, ‘The White Lotus’.
Fabio Lovino/HBO
Season 3 will also star new cast members Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Michelle Monaghan, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Blackpink’s Lalisa Manobal. But since Coolidge’s Tanya didn’t survive her own return in season 2, does that mean Rothwell’s Belinda could continue that trend?
“The only thing I can say is be ready for anything,” Rothwell teases. “It’s kind of a hallmark of HBO. You think Game of Thrones, right? You love these characters and you can’t imagine any of them not being there. But yeah, it’s going to be a surprising experience. And the world of White Lotus is expanding in bigger ways too — while I’m the only character from season 1 that’s coming back, we do get to meet a voice we heard season 1, which was my son, who will be introduced in this season.”
Finally meeting Belinda’s son “raises the stakes” on her experience this season. “We’re wanting to root for her, but we’re also wanting to root for her and her son,” Rothwell says. “I can’t get into particulars, but her son is older. He’s finishing up school. It’s that weird part of life when you realize your parents are human and you’re an adult, and there’s this kind of friendship that develops. I’m excited for audiences to see Belinda in relationship to her son and how they grow together over the course of the season.”
Rothwell was so invested in Belinda’s journey that she basically binge-watched all of season 3 by reading every script in one sitting. “The amount of times I would gasp and make noises … ” she trails off with a laugh. “It was just me and my dog on the couch, and he was so confused. I was on the edge of my seat, and then at the end, I was just like, ‘Oh my God. I can’t wait for the world to see this.’ This will definitely top all of [your expectations].”
The White Lotus season 3 premieres Feb. 16 on HBO.

I recently finished reading “The Twin” by Natasha Preston, and I have to say, it was a great read! The story follows a set of identical twins, Ivy and Iris, who couldn’t be more different. When Iris goes missing, Ivy must step into her sister’s shoes and uncover the truth behind her disappearance.
Preston does a fantastic job of building tension and mystery throughout the novel, keeping me on the edge of my seat until the very end. The characters are well-developed and the plot twists kept me guessing.
If you’re a fan of thrillers and psychological suspense, I highly recommend picking up a copy of “The Twin”. It’s a gripping read that will keep you hooked from start to finish. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
