Johnson went in for a tackle on Javonte Williams on a 2nd & 8 play. The collision appeared to jar Johnson’s head and compress his neck into his back. After some time with trainers, and despite a backboard being brought out, Johnson was able to walk off the field. Obviously, he headed directly to the blue medical tent as Cam Lewis was sent into the game to replace Johnson.
Hopefully just a stinger for Johnson, but that looked very bad. He’s sitting up now, but the backboard is out.

After a few minutes in the medical tent, Johnson was seen jogging to the locker room, presumably for yet another head check.
Buffalo Bills nickel cornerback Taron Johnson is questionable to return to the game after suffering a neck injury. Johnson, a key player in the Bills’ secondary, left the game in the first half and has not returned to the field since. The team’s medical staff is evaluating his condition and will determine if he is able to re-enter the game.
Johnson’s absence could be a significant blow to the Bills’ defense, as he is known for his strong coverage skills and ability to make plays in the passing game. The team will have to rely on their depth at the cornerback position if Johnson is unable to return.
Stay tuned for updates on Johnson’s status and potential return to the game.
