Gordon Ramsay visited New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX in order to help select restaurant owners and staff prepare for crowds of visitors.
During September 2024, Ramsay visited Kindred Restaurant and filmed an episode of “Kitchen Nightmares.”
As of a “Kitchen Nightmares” update posted on Jan. 27, Kindred closed mere months after filming the episode.
Kindred Restaurant on episode of “Kitchen Nightmares”
Kindred closed its doors in December 2024 after being featured in a “Road to Superbowl LIX” episode for “Kitchen Nightmares,” according to an update. The restaurant was closed before the episode aired on Jan. 28.
Kindred in New Orleans was a restaurant that served vegan cuisine and struggled with direction and organization. In the episode, Ramsay threatens to leave Kindred after finding its kitchen to be lacking cleanliness.

On Dec. 24, 2024, the restaurant posted a message on their Facebook page. “New Orleans, thanks for 5 years! But, our time is coming to an end. We will be open Thursday, Friday & Saturday of this week 5pm-10pm. We hope you visit us one more time before we shut our doors for good! Thanks again!” reads the post.
