  • Is Paul George Playing vs Pacers? 76ers Final Injury Report Revealed

The Indiana Pacers will look to continue their hot streak and claim their 24th win of the season against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Pacers have won seven of their last eight games and look to make it eight out of their previous nine on Saturday.

The 76ers, a team that was supposed to be at the top of the East standings, have struggled with continuity and, more importantly, injuries. Injuries have hampered the 76ers like no other, and that is a big reason why they sit on the outside looking in with a 15-24 record and as the 11th seed.

There is plenty of time to get back on track; however, the Pacers hope that is not tonight. Philadelphia has a ton of obstacles in its way, and they may have one tonight as its top player, forward Paul George, is listed as questionable.

George was listed as questionable due to a left groin tightness. He missed Friday’s practice due to the injury.

The star was listed as questionable and will be out for this game.

George has struggled to stay on the court this season. The 76ers took a massive swing on George this past offseason, signing him to a four-year, $212 million free-agent contract.

That seemed like a big win for the 76ers, but so far, that has not been the case, as he’s only played in 27 of 39 games so far.

In addition, his production is not close to what he is earning. George is only averaging 17.2 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.8 steals while shooting 42.3 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from three in 32.7 minutes of action.

The last time George was on the court was in their loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday. George recorded 26 points on 45 percent shooting from the field, three rebounds, six assists, and three steals in 43 minutes of action.

Those 43 minutes are the most George has played this season.

The Pacers will play in their 43rd game of the season and look to secure their 12th win in front of their home crowd.

Philadelphia enters the matchup with Indiana as losers of four games in a row. They have gone 12-12 against Eastern Conference opponents.

The Pacers are 14-15 against Eastern Conference opponents and are shooting 48.9 percent from the field this season, which is slightly higher than the 76ers’ 48.3 percent.

Pacers Forward Viewed as Trade Target For East Rival

The final injury report for the Philadelphia 76ers has been revealed ahead of their game against the Indiana Pacers, and all eyes are on Paul George. The big question on everyone’s mind is: Is Paul George playing against the Pacers?

Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Paul George will not be suiting up for the 76ers in this matchup. The star player is still recovering from a nagging injury and the team has decided to err on the side of caution.

While George’s absence will be felt by the team, the 76ers are still confident in their ability to compete and secure a win against the Pacers. Fans will have to wait a little longer to see George back in action, but in the meantime, the rest of the team will need to step up and fill the void.

Stay tuned for updates on Paul George’s status and be sure to tune in to see how the 76ers fare without him in this crucial matchup.

  • Sixers injury news: Paul George, Guerschon Yabusele status vs. Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS — As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare to take on the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night to begin a 3-game road trip, they will have to do so while being very short-handed.

Joel Embiid, Kyle Lowry, KJ Martin, Caleb Martin, and Jared McCain are all on the sidelines for this one as they all deal with ailments that hold them out. McCain, of course, is out for the season while Embiid will be re-evaluated in a week as his left knee has swelled up again after a workout.

As for Paul George, he was questionable heading into this contest due to left groin tightness. Guerschon Yabusele–the only Sixer to appear in every game thus far–was also questionable due to right knee swelling.

The Sixers have now ruled both out for this contest against the Pacers.

The Sixers are currently on a 4-game losing skid and will lean on Tyrese Maxey to lead the way and put a halt to that slump.

Tip off from Gainbridge Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m. EST.

This article originally appeared on Sixers Wire: Sixers injury news: Paul George, Guerschon Yabusele status vs. Pacers

The Philadelphia 76ers have provided updates on the injury statuses of Paul George and Guerschon Yabusele ahead of their matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

Paul George, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, is listed as questionable for the game against the Pacers. The Sixers will continue to monitor his progress and make a decision closer to game time.

Guerschon Yabusele, on the other hand, is listed as probable for the game after dealing with a knee injury. The Sixers are optimistic that he will be able to suit up and contribute against the Pacers.

Both players will be key pieces for the Sixers as they look to secure a win against a tough Pacers team. Stay tuned for further updates on their statuses as game time approaches.

  • Rishabh Pant Left Bruised By Australia Pacers, Responds WIth A Mammoth Six – Watch

Rishabh Pant Left Bruised By Australia Pacers, Responds WIth A Mammoth Six – Watch

It was a show of pure grit and resilience from Indian cricket team wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant on Day 1 of the fifth Test match against Australia in Sydney on Friday. Pant remained strong in face of fiery pace bowling from Australia and although wickets continued to tumble on the other end, he scored a significant 40 off 98 deliveries. During his innings, he was left bruised on the arm by a stinging delivery from Mitchell Starc while a bouncer from the same bowler hit him on the helmet. He was forced to receive treatment from the physio on multiple occasions but it did not dampen his spirits.

Pant targeted the debutant Beau Webster and in the 46th over of the match, he stepped down to the medium-pacer and heaved him for a brilliant six over long-on. The connection was so good that the ball got stuck in the sight screen and had to be retrieved by the ground staff with the help of a ladder.

Pant said he batted with restraint on the opening day of the fifth Test against Australia because character of the SCG pitch did not allow him to be in his customary aggressive self.

Pant, who copped severe criticism from all corners for his callous approach to batting during the previous Test at Melbourne, made a 98-ball 40 in India’s 185 all out on Friday.

“In this innings, I wasn’t in frame of mind where I felt I could take charge of the game looking at nature of the wicket,” Pant said in the post-day press meet.

“Sometimes you have to play secure cricket as there were occasions where I could have taken 50-50 chances but didn’t,” he added.

The left-hander also said he is evolving as a batter, trying to find the right balance between defense and aggression.

“You want to bat the way that comes naturally to you but keep evolving and trying to keep a balance between attack and defense.”

Pant admitted that a batter tends to complicate things when he is not batting well.

“When you are not doing well you tend to overthink,” he said.

Debutant Aussie all-rounder Beau Webster concurred with Pant’s view on the pitch.

“They (India batters) decided to knuckle down and made us bowl lot of overs. I am not sure what a good score on this track but we would have batted first had we won the toss,” said Webster.

Rishabh Pant Left Bruised By Australia Pacers, Responds With A Mammoth Six – Watch

In a thrilling match between India and Australia, Rishabh Pant faced some fierce bowling from the Australian pacers which left him bruised and battered. However, the young wicketkeeper-batsman didn’t back down and responded in style with a massive six that left the crowd in awe.

Pant’s fearless approach to batting was on full display as he took on the Australian bowlers with confidence. Despite being hit on the body multiple times, Pant showed his resilience and determination by playing his shots with aggression.

The highlight of the match came when Pant smashed a delivery from Mitchell Starc for a huge six that sailed over the boundary ropes. The sheer power and timing of the shot left everyone watching in amazement as Pant showed his class and ability to take on the best in the world.

This moment symbolized Pant’s never-say-die attitude and his ability to turn adversity into opportunity. It was a true display of his talent and potential as a cricketer, and a reminder of why he is considered one of the most exciting young players in the game.

  • Indiana Pacers vs Miami Heat Prediction, Odds and Picks

Indiana Pacers vs Miami Heat Prediction, Odds and Picks

A run of just 1 win in 4 games has slowed down the Indiana Pacers a bit who had a 5-game win streak right before Christmas Day. Since then they faced OKC, Boston (twice) and Milwaukee, so it’s not a shocker they went 1-3 SU in those games. Facing a Miami team that’s playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back should be easier, but the Pacers will have to improve defensively if they are to stand a chance here. Tyrese Haliburton has also fallen off a bit here, failing to record double-digit assists in 4 straight. He did have 13 dimes in the previous meeting vs Miami, which the Pacers won 119-110 at home.

Jimmy Butler has been the talk of the Heat for the past several weeks, he just returned to the line-up after a 10 day rest period by scoring 9 points in the 11-point win over the Pels last night. The Heat are now 4-1 SU in their last 5 games, at 10-5 SU they are one of the more reliable home teams in the Eastern Conference. Playing 2 games in 2 nights shouldn’t be an issue, in this scenario the Heat are 4-2 SU this year. Ultimately, it’ll come down to defense and this is where the Heat have the edge. They rank 10th in defensive efficiency, while the Pacers are only 23rd.

Bam Adebayo has played really well in the 2 meetings, plus Miami has hit 15 and 19 threes in those games. They’re in much better form here and they’ll only get better with Butler back in the mix. Go with Miami here.

Pacers vs Heat Predictions: Heat -1.5 is available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.

The Indiana Pacers will face off against the Miami Heat in an exciting matchup on Friday night. Both teams are vying for a spot in the playoffs, making this game crucial for their postseason aspirations.

The Pacers have been playing well as of late, winning four of their last five games. They are currently sitting in the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference and are looking to make a push for a higher playoff spot. Led by Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon, the Pacers have a solid core of players who can score and defend at a high level.

On the other hand, the Miami Heat have been struggling recently, losing four of their last five games. Despite their recent slump, the Heat are still in the playoff picture and will be looking to bounce back with a win against the Pacers. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo will need to step up their game in order to secure a victory for Miami.

In terms of odds, the Pacers are currently listed as slight favorites with a spread of -1.5 points. The over/under for the game is set at 215.5 points.

Prediction: This game is expected to be a close one, with both teams fighting hard for a win. However, I believe the Pacers will come out on top in this matchup. Their recent form and balanced offensive attack give them the edge over the struggling Heat. Look for Sabonis and Brogdon to have big games and lead the Pacers to a narrow victory.

    Pick: Indiana Pacers -1.5 points

  • Pacers’ Pascal Siakam subtly calls out team over lack of support

Pacers’ Pascal Siakam subtly calls out team over lack of support

Indiana Pacers star forward Pascal Siakam called out the rest of the team after the tight loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. After surprisingly making the Conference Finals last year, the Pacers have struggled with inconsistent form this season. At 15-16, head coach Rick Carlisle’s team has had a disappointing start for a team that retained its elite, young core from 2023. These struggles have been highlighted by a concerning first 31 games from star point guard Tyrese Haliburton, who is looking to regain his All-NBA form.

Siakam, however, went off on a problem that has plagued the Pacers over the past two years, rebounding. The battle on the boards has been Indiana’s biggest weakness this season again. The team currently ranks 27th in the league in rebounding rate. Siakam got honest about the issue in a postgame interview with Pacers reporter Tyler Smith.

“Myles (Turner) is rebounding his butt off. I’m trying to go in and help him. It’s got to be a five-man job. We know how much better of a team we are when we do that.”

The Indiana Pacers are trying to keep up with the top teams in the East

Related Indiana Pacers NewsArticle continues below

While the Pacers have gotten off to a poor start, they have been trending in the right direction recently. The team has won five out of its last six games, including three impressive road wins against the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors. However, the team is only in eighth place in the East because many of the conference’s contenders heading into the season are creeping up the standings again.

After a dreadful start, the Milwaukee Bucks recently won the In-Season Tournament. The Cavs, Celtics, Knicks, and Magic are the top four seeds and are in very solid form. Even the Philadelphia 76ers just picked up a big Christmas Day win over Boston and are in Play-In territory. The East is increasingly getting more crowded, and many teams will leave the postseason disappointed due to their high expectations.

Indiana could be one of those teams if it does not improve on the glass. While the Pacers’ opponent on Thursday, the Oklahoma City Thunder, has the worst rebounding rate in the league, the Thunder also rank first in defensive efficiency. The Pacers do not. They are currently 22nd in that metric. The combination of not getting stops nor rebounding is a deadly combination for a team with championship aspirations.

Indiana is currently less than two games out of the seed it thrived in last year, No. 6. It’s not so much about seeding. It’s more about cleaning up the habits that doomed this team last year and have continued to plague it this year. The Pacers have a ton of elite athletes on their roster who could be elite rebounders. While the overlying issue of Tyrese Haliburton’s inconsistencies is eye-opening, the underlying problem that Pascal Siakam is referring to will give this team a ceiling that it doesn’t want to have heading into April.

The Indiana Pacers’ forward, Pascal Siakam, recently made a subtle but pointed remark about the team’s lack of support during a post-game interview. Siakam, who has been a key player for the Pacers this season, hinted at feeling undervalued and underappreciated by his teammates and coaching staff.

In the interview, Siakam mentioned how important it is for players to feel supported and encouraged by their team, both on and off the court. He also alluded to the fact that he has not been receiving the same level of support as some of his teammates, despite his contributions to the team’s success.

While Siakam did not directly call out any specific individuals or point fingers, his comments have raised eyebrows among fans and analysts. Many are speculating that there may be some underlying tension within the Pacers’ locker room, and that Siakam’s remarks could be a sign of larger issues bubbling beneath the surface.

It remains to be seen how the Pacers will respond to Siakam’s subtle call-out, but one thing is clear: the talented forward is not afraid to speak his mind and demand the respect he deserves. Fans will be eagerly watching to see how this situation unfolds in the coming days.

  • New Blockbuster Three-Team Trade Sends Collins to Indiana Pacers, Hawks Land Mathurin

New Blockbuster Three-Team Trade Sends Collins to Indiana Pacers, Hawks Land Mathurin

With the recent news that backup center Larry Nance Jr will miss some time with a broken hand, it seems clear that the Hawks are going to need some more scoring on their bench. It may not be Atlanta’s most pressing need, but it is an area to consider. The offensive prowess of the Hawks’ bench – they are top-5 in points scored across the NBA – has been critical to many of their victories. It would make sense to keep that going.

As a result, one name that could make sense for them to add is Bennedict Mathurin. The third-year wing is currently averaging 16.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 45.9/36.4/84.4 shooting splits as he’s made his way into Indiana’s starting lineup. He’s more offensively-tilted, but he’s great at providing a jolt of offense into stagnant lineups and uses his athleticism well. He draws contact and has plenty of confidence as an isolation scorer. In short, he’s well suited to be a backup scorer and should not be overtaxed in that role with the Hawks.

Now, the Pacers have not had a great season. They’ve been one of the most inconsistent teams in the NBA, but just beat the Celtics in an excellent rebound performance after getting blown out by the same Boston team in their previous game. As a result, they may want to consider making some changes in their starting lineup. If they do, a former Atlanta Hawk might make sense for them to acquire.

Lost in the quagmire of the Utah Jazz’s effort to tank for Cooper Flagg is a very strong season from Collins. He’s putting up 17.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists on 52.3/42.4/87.1 splits. The three-point shooting (on a modest volume of 3.3 shots from deep per game) and free throw shooting are especially impressive as he’s remade his game to fit at either center or forward. His activity on the glass, overall athleticism and ability to make simple reads should be a nice fit with Indiana. Inserting him into the starting lineup would give the Pacers five credible shooters and give them some lineup flexibility as they toy with lineups that put Collins or Myles Turner at the center spot.

Given the needs of these respective teams, could a three-team deal come to fruition? Here is one possible framework for such a deal.

It should be noted that this is just a speculative and fun exercise to see what kind of moves can be made, not what I think the Hawks should do or will do. That is all.

Atlanta Hawks get: Bennedict Mathurin, 2031 2nd-round pick (via Utah), 2027 1st-round pick (from Cleveland, via Utah, top-8 protected)

Indiana Pacers get: John Collins, 2028 2nd-round pick (from Houston, via Atlanta), 2031 2nd-round pick (via Atlanta)

Utah Jazz get: Obi Toppin, Kobe Bufkin, Cody Zeller, 2025 1st round pick (from Sacramento, via Atlanta, top-12 protected)

Why the Hawks would do this trade: Bufkin is a talented backup point guard who shows signs of being a real two-way force, but the opportunity to add another first-round pick and a contributor this season in Mathurin is too big to ignore. At his best, he’s a shooter with size that would inject a scoring punch into an already effective Atlanta bench unit. Furthermore, they are flipping a 2025 first-rounder that has a low likelihood of conveying into a 2027 pick with slightly better odds.

Why the Hawks would not do this trade: Bufkin has played in very few games so far and his value is currently at its lowest point. Furthermore, Mathurin can be somewhat of a ball-stopper and struggles to be a connective player. That could be a tough fit with Atlanta. He also carries a salary of over $7 million for this year and a similar salary next season, which is a significant amount of money for a player that might not be a good fit.

Why the Pacers would do this trade: Myles Turner could be lured away from Indiana by teams interested in his combination of shot-blocking and three-point shooting. As a result, the Pacers might not be able to re-sign him to a new deal. He has played well this season after a poor start, so there is little chance that Indiana can sign him on a cheaper deal. Therefore, this is a good opportunity to add Collins and then perhaps even re-sign Turner if the interest in his services is not as high as previously believed. Either way, it’s a good way for Indiana to hedge its bets. Collins is shooting better than Turner from deep while also having the optionality to play at either center or power forward. He is also out-rebounding Turner and the Pacers are one of the worst rebounding teams in basketball.

Why the Pacers would not do this trade: Collins’ skillset could be redundant with Pascal Siakam and Turner has been very impactful in a way that might not still be true with Collins next to him. Although the Pacers are in danger of being relegated to the play-in, it’s possible this causes more issues than actual solutions.

Why the Jazz would do this trade: Bufkin is an interesting development project for a Jazz squad that has little settled at either spot in its backcourt. Although Toppin is sidelined by an injury, his incredible athleticism would pair well with a young Jazz squad trying to find its identity. He’s a strong play finisher who could grow into a possible future contributor for Utah. They also take a shot on adding a 2025 1st-round pick that might convey. Even if it doesn’t convey this draft, it could be used as ammo to trade up because the pick moves over to the 2026 draft, which also projects to be a strong class. Zeller can soak up minutes for the Jazz and provides a veteran presence in the locker room. Pretty simply, they get something in exchange for a player that is likely to leave once his contract expires.

Why the Jazz would not do this trade: Neither Bufkin or Toppin project to have incredibly high ceilings at this stage and Utah is currently trying to develop tons of its players. They need to start getting more sure things than projects and this only adds to their development needs.
