Juric opens door for players to impress as changes expected at Palace

The Croatian left top goalscorer Cameron Archer on the bench for Southampton’s 1-0 defeat to West Ham on Boxing Day but insisted he will be better suited in other games.

Tyler Dibling also dropped to the bench for fitness reasons and could be handed his first start under Juric at Selhurst Park.

Speaking on Thursday, the 49 year old told the Daily Echo: “I will see tomorrow. My idea was to make changes.

“I spoke before about having 18 or 19 players, to be always competitive, aggressive and play with high intensity. We have to be fit.

“We have seen that some of the changes, like Lesley (Ugochukwu) and Big Paul (Onuachu), have had a very good game.”

He continued: “My idea of football is pragmatic, I grew up in Italy. My idea is to win the game. To win the game, we need to find a way to win it.

“There is no ‘I like this or that’. I want to win the game. Against West Ham, we didn’t win but the team did really, really good.

“Paul Onuachu can give us a lot of things but I really believe it will be better sometimes for Cameron Archer (to play) depending on the game.

Ivan Juric during Southampton's Premier League defeat to West Ham on Boxing Day.Ivan Juric during Southampton’s Premier League defeat to West Ham on Boxing Day. (Image: Stuart Martin) Juric explained that he is already well acquainted with how Crystal Palace play because he enjoys watching Oliver Glasner’s side.

He quipped that he could steal some of the Austrian’s ideas due to both managers favouring similar systems.

“I was watching Crystal Palace a lot because their coach (Glasner) is one of the coaches I like watching because he plays 3-4-3,” he said.

“There are some situations that maybe I can steal. I know a lot about them. They have very good and fast strikers.”They play good. I think so but I am very confident that we can play a good game.”

Palace currently sit 16th in the Premier League having lost just one of their last seven fixtures.

They have drawn four of those games, including their Boxing Day trip to AFC Bournemouth, which finished 0-0 at the Vitality Stadium.

The Eagles lost club captain Marc Guehi in that game to suspension after the England international picked up his fifth booking of the campaign.

Players who receive five yellow cards in the first 19 games receive a one-match suspension. Adam Lallana, Adam Armstrong and Mateus Fernandes are all at risk of a ban should they be booked against Palace.

The threshold for suspensions is then lifted to 10 yellow cards in the first 32 games, which earns players a two-match ban. Flynn Downes (seven yellows) is already approaching that mar.k

Juric opens door for players to impress as changes expected at Palace

Crystal Palace manager, Josko Juric, has hinted at making changes to the starting lineup for the upcoming matches, giving players a chance to impress and stake their claim for a regular spot in the team.

Juric, who took over the reins at Palace earlier this season, has been assessing his squad and looking for ways to improve the team’s performance on the field. With a number of players underperforming, the Croatian coach is looking to shake things up and bring in fresh faces to inject some energy and creativity into the team.

Speaking to the press, Juric said, “I believe in giving every player a fair chance to prove themselves and show what they can do. It’s important for me to have a competitive squad and for players to fight for their place in the team.”

With Palace struggling in the league and in need of a boost, Juric’s decision to make changes could be just what the team needs to turn their season around. Fans will be eagerly watching to see which players step up and seize their opportunity to impress the manager and secure a place in the starting lineup.

As the team prepares for their next match, all eyes will be on Juric and the players as they look to make a statement and show that they are ready to rise to the challenge and help Palace climb up the league table.

Match Pack: Crystal Palace vs Saints

Ivan Jurić takes his Saints side on the road for the first time this weekend, visiting Crystal Palace in the capital. Get set for the last fixture of 2024 with our Match Pack…

    THE MATCH

    Crystal Palace vs Saints
    Premier League
    Selhurst Park
    Sunday 29th December, 3pm GMT

    THE OFFICIALS

    Referee: Michael Salisbury
    Assistants: Scott Ledger, Derek Eaton
    Fourth official: Darren Bond
    VAR: Graham Scott
    Assistant VAR: Akil Howson

    WHAT’S AT STAKE?

It’s a first away match as Saints boss for Ivan Jurić, who will be looking to turn the positives from Boxing Day’s defeat to West Ham into points going into the second half of the season.

His side sit nine points adrift from safety, but a string of results can quickly change things in the Premier League, particularly if you take those points from fellow strugglers like Crystal Palace.

Palace sit 16th with 17 points, but have seen an upturn in form over the last month or so, losing just one of their last seven.

WHAT KIT WILL SAINTS BE WEARING?

Saints will be wearing their yellow and navy blue away strip for the trip to south London.

    TEAM NEWS

With Jack Stephens returning from suspension and the like Will Smallbone nearing full fitness following an injury manager Jurić has said he will look to “make some changes” ahead of Sunday’s trip to the capital.

“In order to play with high intensity we have to be fit,” said the manager. “We saw [against West Ham] some changes with Lesley [Ugochukwu] and Paul [Onuachu] and they did very well.”

    THE MANAGERS

Oliver Glasner: “I think what we can do better: especially when we win the ball, sometimes we lose it too easily. First or second pass, the ball is gone again.

“But the team is working so hard and investing so much, and [we want to] just make it a little bit easier for them on the pitch, giving us more moments, more momentum, a little bit more calmness. This is what we are working on, and this will be important against Southampton.”

Ivan Jurić: “I’ve watched them a lot because the coach at Crystal Palace is one of the coaches I like watching because he plays 3-4-3. I think they have very good strikers, fast, and they play good.

“But I am very confident we can do a good game. From watching the Fulham game and today, I think our team can compete. There are lots of things to improve, lots of details we can do better, but in these two games I have seen that my team can compete; we are not too far off other teams.”

    ONES TO WATCH

Ismaïla Sarr: Boasting three goals in his last three games, the 26-year-old is certainly finding his form during this festive period.

The attacking midfielder will be hoping to continue these numbers into the new year, as Oliver Glasner’s side look to continue their upturn in form.

Paul Onuachu: The forward returned to the starting line-up for Jurić’s first game and became the focal point of the new-look attacking style of play.

    Customers say

Customers find the book informative and helpful for remembering things better. They describe it as an engaging read with good content. However, opinions differ on how easy it is to follow the step-by-step process. Some readers find it clear and simple, while others find it challenging or difficult to grasp.

AI-generated from the text of customer reviews

The Memory Palace technique, also known as the Method of Loci, is a powerful memory-enhancing tool that has been used for centuries. By associating information with specific locations in a mental “palace,” individuals can quickly and easily recall vast amounts of information. In this post, we will explore how to apply the Memory Palace technique specifically for NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioners to enhance their ability to remember key concepts, techniques, and frameworks.

Step 1: Choose a familiar and detailed location
The first step in creating a Memory Palace for NLP is to select a location that you know well and can easily visualize. This could be your childhood home, a favorite vacation spot, or any other place that holds vivid memories for you. The key is to choose a location with many distinct features and rooms that you can mentally walk through.

Step 2: Assign NLP concepts to specific locations
Next, identify the key NLP concepts, techniques, or frameworks that you want to remember. For example, you could associate the Swish Pattern with the front door of your Memory Palace, the Meta Model with the living room, and the Milton Model with the backyard. Be creative and make strong, vivid associations between each concept and its corresponding location in your Memory Palace.

Step 3: Create mental images and associations
As you mentally walk through your Memory Palace, visualize each NLP concept in its assigned location. For the Swish Pattern at the front door, imagine yourself stepping through the doorway and instantly transforming into a more confident version of yourself. For the Meta Model in the living room, picture yourself engaging in a deep and meaningful conversation with someone using precise language patterns. Make these mental images vivid, engaging, and memorable.

Step 4: Practice and review regularly
To solidify your Memory Palace for NLP, practice mentally walking through it regularly. Review each concept and its corresponding location in your mind, reinforcing the associations and strengthening your recall abilities. The more you practice, the more effortlessly you will be able to access and apply these NLP concepts in your work and daily life.

By structuring your mind with a Memory Palace specifically tailored for NLP, you can enhance your ability to recall key concepts, techniques, and frameworks with ease. This powerful memory-enhancing tool can help you deepen your understanding of NLP and improve your effectiveness as a practitioner. Give it a try and see how it can transform your ability to remember and apply NLP techniques in your practice.

the impact of social media on society.

Social media has had a significant impact on society in various ways. One of the most prominent effects of social media is the way it has revolutionized communication. People can now easily connect with others from all over the world in real-time, share information, and stay updated on current events. This has made communication more convenient and efficient, but has also led to concerns about the spread of misinformation and the potential for online harassment.

Social media has also changed the way people consume news and information. With the rise of social media platforms as news sources, traditional media outlets have had to adapt to keep up with the changing landscape. This has led to concerns about the spread of fake news and the echo chamber effect, where people are only exposed to information that aligns with their existing beliefs.

Additionally, social media has had a profound impact on activism and social movements. Platforms like Twitter and Facebook have been instrumental in organizing protests and raising awareness about important issues. However, social media activism also has its limitations, as it can sometimes be superficial and fail to lead to meaningful change.

Overall, social media has had both positive and negative impacts on society. It has revolutionized communication, changed the way people consume news, and empowered individuals to raise awareness about important issues. However, it has also raised concerns about privacy, misinformation, and the impact of social media on mental health.
