Preview: Parma vs. Lecce – prediction, team news, lineups
Sports Mole previews Friday’s Serie A clash between Parma and Lecce, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Both beaten by a Milan giant last week, Serie A strugglers Parma and Lecce will meet for a Friday night survival scrap at Stadio Tardini.
While the hosts let victory slip at San Siro, leaving them level on points with their visitors, Lecce shipped four goals for the second straight week and plunged into the drop zone.
Match preview

Despite leading 2-1 until the 91st minute, Parma somehow contrived to come away empty-handed from last week’s meeting with AC Milan, conceding twice during stoppage time to lose 3-2.
Goals from Matteo Cancellieri and Enrico Del Prato put the plucky away side in charge at San Siro, but Milan pulled off an improbable comeback to claim maximum points.
As a result of their latest painful failure to retain an advantage, Fabio Pecchia‘s men have won only one of their last eight league matches, conceding 17 times in the process.
In fact, over the past eight matchdays, only Serie A’s rock-bottom club Monza have accrued fewer points than Parma, while only Friday’s opponents have leaked more goals.
Despite such a streak, the Gialloblu are still hovering just above the relegation places on goal difference, amid a tightly-packed bottom half of the table.
Two clashes with direct rivals – first Lecce, then Cagliari – could now prove crucial in their quest for survival, and Parma come into this week’s contest with history firmly on their side.
© Imago
After an eventful 2-2 draw in this season’s reverse fixture, Lecce have won just one of their last 23 top-flight matches against Parma – a 1-0 victory at the Tardini, way back in February 2011.
The Salentini came so close to a rare victory in September, when both teams were reduced to 10 men during the second half, but they failed to get over the finish line, conceding twice after the 90th minute.
While Parma endured a similar climax to their match last week, Lecce were simply swatted aside by the black-and-blue side of Italy’s second city, as Serie A champions Inter Milan cruised to a 4-0 win at Stadio Via del Mare.
Therefore, Marco Giampaolo‘s men have lost their last two games while conceding eight times, and such defensive deficiencies are too often exposed on the road: the Giallorossi have shipped 11 goals during their last four away fixtures – only one fewer than throughout the previous 12.
Also the league’s lowest scorers, with just 15 strikes from 22 matches, Lecce may seem bound for Serie B; yet victory on Friday would take them out of the drop zone at Parma’s expense.

Parma still have a stubbornly long absence list, as defensive trio Botond Balogh, Yordan Osorio and Alessandro Circati all join Adrian Bernabe, Mateusz Kowalski and Gabriel Charpentier on the sidelines. Furthermore, captain Enrico Del Prato must serve a suspension.
Chief creator Dennis Man – who has seven Serie A goal involvements this season – is also highly doubtful due to a thigh strain, so Pontus Almqvist could be offered a chance to replicate his goal in September’s reverse fixture.
Ange-Yoan Bonny has returned to training and can compete with new signing Milan Djuric to start up front, while recently-acquired winger Jacob Ondrejka will hope to make his debut.
Meanwhile, Lecce will travel to Emilia-Romagna without Hamza Rafia, Medon Berisha, Kialonda Gaspar, Lameck Banda and Filip Marchwinski.
Set to seal a high-profile transfer to the Premier League, versatile winger Patrick Dorgu is unlikely to feature, so Antonino Gallo should return at left-back.
Montenegrin striker Nikola Krstovic – who scored when these clubs met at Via del Mare earlier this season – is the only Lecce player to net more than one away goal in Serie A so far.
Parma possible starting lineup:
Suzuki; Hainaut, Valenti, Vogliacco, Valeri; Sohm, Hernani; Almqvist, Cancellieri, Mihaila; BonnyLecce possible starting lineup:
Falcone; Guilbert, Baschirotto, Jean, Gallo; Coulibaly, Pierret, Helgason; Pierotti, Krstovic, Morente
We say: Parma 2-1 Lecce
Only one team has a worse away record than Lecce, and they are still struggling to score goals, so even a brittle Parma side should secure three points on Friday evening.
Without doubt, the Gialloblu have a greater cutting edge than their visitors, and they can use it to inch further away from danger.

#Milan #starting #Parma #clash #Watch #LIVE #OneFootball“DOBBIAMO ACCELERARE PER INSERIRE IN SQUADRA I NUOVI ACQUISTI” » Stadio Ennio Tardini Parma
Forza Parma! #ForzaCrociati #StadioEnnioTardini #NuoviAcquisti

Preview: AC Milan vs. Parma – prediction, team news, lineups
Sports Mole previews Sunday’s Serie A clash between AC Milan and Parma, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Thriving in Europe but stuttering in Serie A, AC Milan will aim to revive an ailing domestic campaign when they host Parma on Sunday.
The Rossoneri recorded their fifth straight Champions League win in midweek, but they only sit eighth in the Italian top flight; meanwhile, their visitors arrive at San Siro amid a season-long fight for survival.
Match preview

Having started with two losses, Milan have since made light of their league woes to storm up the Champions League standings thanks to a superb haul of 15 points from a possible 15.
Wednesday’s win over Girona took them back into the top eight, with Rafael Leao‘s emphatic close-range finish giving the Rossoneri a lead they would never relinquish – they also struck the woodwork twice at San Siro.
With a playoff place already locked down, Milan are therefore in charge of their own destiny heading towards a final-day contest with Dinamo Zagreb in the Croatian capital next week.
However, a tame 2-0 defeat to Juventus in their most recent Serie A match means that they have fewer than 35 points after 20 league games for the first time in five seasons – on that occasion, they finished sixth.
Although new coach Sergio Conceicao made an immediate impact by delivering the Supercoppa Italiana within days of his mid-term appointment, there is still plenty of catching up to do over the months ahead.
Milan have drawn four of their last five home games in Serie A, including each of the last three, leaving them as close to the bottom half as the top four.
© Imago
Although they have won just one of their last 20 away games against Sunday’s hosts, suffering 15 defeats in the process, Parma are aiming to do the double over Milan this weekend.
After a shock 2-1 win at Stadio Tardini in August, the Emilian side struggled to pick up more points on their latest return to Serie A, but taking five from their last four outings has kept their heads above water.
Fabio Pecchia‘s men have lost only one of their last four matches – posting the same points tally as Milan over that period – following last week’s 1-1 draw with fellow promoted club Venezia.
A second-half spot kick converted by Hernani was enough to avoid a damaging home defeat, so the Gialloblu are still hovering just above Serie A’s bottom three, amid a tightly-packed bottom half of the table.
Taking anything home from San Siro would be a bonus, but upcoming clashes with relegation rivals Lecce and Cagliari could prove crucial in Parma’s quest for survival.

As Milan face a significant double-header next week, when they will try to wrap up a last-16 spot in the Champions League before tackling Inter in the Derby della Madonnina, Sergio Conceicao may consider some changes to his lineup on Sunday.
The Rossoneri’s boss will be able to count on Christian Pulisic, who returned from injury to make a cameo appearance against Girona, while Samuel Chukwueze could be available for the first time since December; Fikayo Tomori is back after serving a one-match UEFA ban.
However, the hosts are without Emerson Royal, Malick Thiaw and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, plus long-term absentee Alessandro Florenzi. New recruit Kyle Walker is not yet available, having just joined from Manchester City.
Parma, meanwhile, have a lengthy absence list once again: defensive trio Botond Balogh, Yordan Osorio and Alessandro Circati are all sidelined, in addition to Adrian Bernabe, Mateusz Kowalski and Gabriel Charpentier.
Fabio Pecchia has been able to bolster his squad by signing Alessandro Vogliacco, who started in central defence versus Venezia, while forwards Jacob Ondrejka and Milan Djuric both joined this week – the latter could even displace Ange-Yoan Bonny up front.
Sure to start in the final third, Dennis Man has recorded a club-high seven Serie A goal involvements this season. Since signing in 2021, the Romania international has registered the most goals (28) and most assists (13) for Parma across all competitions.
AC Milan possible starting lineup:
Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Pavlovic, Hernandez; Bennacer, Fofana; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; MorataParma possible starting lineup:
Suzuki; Del Prato, Valenti, Vogliacco, Valeri; Keita, Sohm; Man, Hernani, Mihaila; Djuric
We say: AC Milan 3-1 Parma
It may not be straightforward, but Milan should overcome a flawed Parma side that ship plenty of goals – particularly on the road.
The Rossoneri will have most of their main men available, and such firepower should see them claim three much-needed points.

AC Milan have been in excellent form recently, winning four of their last five matches in Serie A. They currently sit in second place in the league table and will be looking to secure another three points against Parma. Parma, on the other hand, have struggled this season and find themselves near the bottom of the table. Despite their recent struggles, they have shown signs of improvement in their last few matches. However, AC Milan’s strong attack and solid defense should give them the edge in this match. I predict a 2-0 win for AC Milan.Team News:
AC Milan will be without the services of injured midfielder Ismael Bennacer and forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, they have a strong squad depth and should be able to cope with their absence. #Preview #Milan #Parma #prediction #team #news #lineupsOfficial: AC Milan vs. Parma starting XIs
AC Milan resume their Serie A campaign in Sunday’s early kick-off, welcoming Parma to San Siro hoping to avenge defeat in the reverse fixture.
With Juventus having lost last night and with Lazio playing Fiorentina later on (plus Bologna drawing with Empoli), the door has opened again for Milan to gain ground in the top four race.
However, they have previously failed to take advantage of this situation multiple times this season already, so Sergio Conceicao will be looking for the right signs after the Girona win in midweek.
The official starting XIs
In terms of injury news, Milan will be without Emerson Royal – who should miss 8-12 weeks – plus Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Malick Thiaw and Alessando Florenzi. Noah Okafor, Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze boost the forward options though.
There are two changes from the XI that beat Girona in the Champions League and one comes on the right side of the attack, where Pulisic gets the nod. He will have Alvaro Morata and Rafael Leao to his left.
The midfield trio will be Youssouf Fofana, Yunus Musah and Tijjani Reijnders, with the American replacing Ismael Bennacer. The Frenchman must be careful though: he is one booking away from a one-game Serie A suspension, and the next league game is the derby.
Mike Maignan will have a back four of Davide Calabria, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of him, the rearguard that basically kept a clean sheet on Wednesday given that Emerson was forced off.
Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Gabbia, Pavlovic, Theo Hernandez; Fofana, Musah; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; Morata.
Bench: Sportiello, Bennacer, Jovic, Okafor, Zeroli, Jimenez, Chukwueze, Tomori, Bartesaghi, Terracciano, Camarda, Abraham.
Official Parma XI (4-2-3-1): Suzuki; Delprato, Vogliacco, Valenti, Valeri, Hernani, Sohm, Man, Cancellieri, Mihaila, Djuric.
Bench: Corvi, Moretta, Estevez, Almqvist, Keita, Ondrejka, Lovik, Hainaut, Camara, Leoni, Haj, Trabucchi, Plicco.

Parma vs Monza Prediction, lineups, betting tips & odds
Both teams are fighting relegation this season.
Parma will host Monza on match day 18 of the 2024/25 Serie A season. The hosts are having an underwhelming season, as they have only accumulated 15 points from their opening 17 matches. They have just three wins to their name and have lost on eight occasions.
Parma are just a point above the relegation zone. They need a string of good results to build momentum and avoid dropping out of the Serie A.
Monza, on the other hand, are the bottom-placed team in the Italian first division. They have tasted victory only once in 17 matches. With seven draws and nine losses, Monza only have 10 points to their name.
The Board recently sacked Alessandro Nesta as their head coach and appointed Salvatore Bocchetti to rescue them from this difficult situation.
