INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Pacers forward Pascal Siakam was selected as a reserve for the NBA All-Star Game.
This is Siakam’s third All-Star nod, and his first since the 2022-23 season.
He’s averaging 20.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game for the Pacers this season. Siakam has played and started in every game so far.
Siakam is also having easily his best season from beyond the arc, shooting 41.8% from three, a career high.
He had his highest scoring game as a Pacer on Wednesday, putting up 36 points in their win against the Pistons.
After the game, Siakam was asked what it would mean if he was selected as an All-Star.
“I’m blessed to be a part of this team,” Siakam said. “The support that I’ve had since I’ve been here has been just amazing. I don’t think I’ve had an organization just showing so much support from top to bottom but it’s been awesome and I’m so grateful for it. It would mean a lot to represent the Pacers out there in All-Star Weekend.”
His teammate Tyrese Haliburton had no doubt that Siakam deserved to be an All-Star when he was asked on Tuesday.
“It’s no question,” Haliburton said. “Just ask the coaches. Ask other players. It’s not a debate. People just got to use their eyes and watch the game.”
Haliburton added that Pascal’s been helping to lead the charge for the Pacers in flipping their season around. After starting the season 9-14, the Pacers are 17-6 in their last 23 games.
NBA coaches select the All-Star reserves. Haliburton said the coaches typically reward winning and playing the right way, and Siakam does just that.
This is Siakam’s second year and first full season with the Pacers. He was acquired in January 2024 for Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, and three first round picks.
The Pacers re-signed Siakam as a free agent in July for a four-year deal worth $189.5 million.
He was critical in the Pacers run to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2024. Siakam led the Pacers in scoring in the postseason, averaging 21.6 points per game.
The All-Star Game is on Sunday, February 16 at 8 p.m. EST.
The Indiana Pacers have another player representing them in the NBA All-Star game this year. Pascal Siakam has been selected to the All-Star team, making it his second appearance in the prestigious event.
Siakam has been a key player for the Pacers this season, averaging 20.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. His versatility on both ends of the court has been a major factor in the team’s success this season.
Fans in Indiana are excited to see Siakam showcase his skills on the big stage and represent the Pacers in the All-Star game. Congratulations to Pascal Siakam on this well-deserved honor!
INDIANAPOLIS — Pascal Siakam will be an All-Star for the third time and his first as a member of the Indiana Pacers.
The 6-8 power forward — acquired by the Pacers last January from Toronto after earning two All-Star trips, two All-NBA nods and an NBA championship ring with the Raptors — was one of seven players named Eastern Conference All-Star reserves on Thursday night through a vote of league coaches. The All-Star Game — which this season will be a mini-tournament — will be held at 8 p.m., ET on Feb. 16 at the Golden State Warriors’ Chase Center in San Francisco and televised on TNT.
When asked about the possibility of making the team on Wednesday after a season-high 37 points in the Pacers’ win over the Pistons, he said it would be particularly rewarding because it would allow him to represent his new franchise on the All-Star stage for the first time.
“The support that I’ve had since I’ve been here has been amazing,” Siakam said. “I don’t think I’ve ever had an organization show so much support from the top to the bottom. It’s been awesome. I’ve been grateful for it and it would mean a lot to represent the Pacers out there on All-Star weekend.”
Siakam has been the Pacers’ most consistent player since he was acquired. Last season he led the Pacers in scoring in the 41 regular season games after he was acquired with 21.3 points per game, then led them in scoring in the playoffs during their Eastern Conference finals run with 21.6 points per game.
This year, he’s leading them with 20.2 points per game in one of the most efficient seasons of his career, shooting 52.6% from the floor and a career-best 41.3% from 3-point range. His .585 effective field goal percentage is the second best of his career behind the 2018-19 season when he posted a .591 mark and won Most Improved Player honors while helping the Raptors claim the NBA title. He also leads the Pacers in rebounding with 7.4 per game and ranks fourth in assists with 3.4 per game behind only Tyrese Haliburton, T.J. McConnell and Andrew Nembhard, all point guards by trade. He’s also fourth on the team in total steals with 41 and has been a key piece to the Pacers’ swiftly improving defense. He ranks third among Pacers regulars and second to Nembhard among starters in defensive rating at 109.0.
The Pacers leaned heavily on Siakam in their first 25 games, especially with Haliburton in a shooting slump. They started 10-15, but they are 16-5 since and they won 10 of their 12 games in the month of January. At 26-20, they are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, three ahead of the sixth-place Magic and just a half-game behind the fourth-place Bucks.
“Pascal’s been one of the most consistent players all year long,” Carlisle said. “He’s a 20 and 8 guy every single night.”
This will be Siakam’s first All-Star appearance since 2023. He was also an All-Star in 2020.
This is the third straight year the Pacers have put a player in the All-Star game. Point guard Tyrese Haliburton was named to the team the last two seasons, though he missed inclusion this year after a tough start to his season.
Siakam was joined on the Eastern Conference reserves by Boston forward Jaylen Brown, Bucks guard Damian Lillard, Cleveland forward Evan Mobley and guard Darius Garland, Heat guard Tyer Herro and Pistons guard Cade Cunningham. The starters, announced last week, are Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell, Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Indiana Pacers’ forward Pascal Siakam has been named to his third NBA All-Star Game. Siakam, who was previously selected as an All-Star in 2020 and 2021, has once again proven himself as one of the top players in the league.
Siakam has been a key contributor for the Pacers this season, averaging 21.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. His versatility on both ends of the court has been instrumental in helping the team compete at a high level.
Pacers fans can look forward to seeing Siakam represent their team on the big stage once again as he takes part in the All-Star Game festivities. Congratulations to Pascal Siakam on this well-deserved honor! #Pacers #NBAAllStar

Pascal Struijk set to miss almost a month with hamstring injury
Leeds United will be without the talents of defender Pascal Struijk in the near future, following an unfortunate injury update on Friday.
Manager Daniel Farke addressed the media before the club’s upcoming clash against Sheffield Wednesday and confirmed the 25-year-old will be out for three weeks.
“Pascal Struijk reported yesterday a little awareness in his hamstring. Out of precaution we sent him to a scan, the result was a big surprise, negative,” said Farke.
Pascal Struijk expected to miss at least the next three weeks with a muscle injury. “Once the fluid has settled, we will rescan next week to give us a better timeframe. If the tendon is involved, it would be a longer rehab” pic.twitter.com/wqzmNf3mGp
“He will be at least out next three weeks, have to be a bit careful and assess him pretty carefully because if he would be out for a significantly longer period, it would impact our plans.
“It’s a big blow for the next games. Hopefully it’s just three weeks.”
The loss will be significant for the club, as Struijk has been a routine name on the team sheet. His 24 appearances this season also include three goals.

Leeds United’s Pascal Struijk is set to be sidelined for nearly a month after suffering a hamstring injury. The young defender has been a key player for the team this season, but will now have to undergo a period of rehabilitation before returning to action.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa will have to reshuffle his backline in Struijk’s absence, as the 21-year-old has been a reliable presence in defense. It’s a blow for Leeds as they look to climb up the Premier League table, but they will have to cope without him for the time being.
Fans will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Struijk, who has shown great promise in his performances this season. In the meantime, it will be up to his teammates to step up in his absence and ensure that Leeds continue to compete at the highest level.

Indiana Pacers star forward Pascal Siakam called out the rest of the team after the tight loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. After surprisingly making the Conference Finals last year, the Pacers have struggled with inconsistent form this season. At 15-16, head coach Rick Carlisle’s team has had a disappointing start for a team that retained its elite, young core from 2023. These struggles have been highlighted by a concerning first 31 games from star point guard Tyrese Haliburton, who is looking to regain his All-NBA form.
Siakam, however, went off on a problem that has plagued the Pacers over the past two years, rebounding. The battle on the boards has been Indiana’s biggest weakness this season again. The team currently ranks 27th in the league in rebounding rate. Siakam got honest about the issue in a postgame interview with Pacers reporter Tyler Smith.
“Myles (Turner) is rebounding his butt off. I’m trying to go in and help him. It’s got to be a five-man job. We know how much better of a team we are when we do that.”

While the Pacers have gotten off to a poor start, they have been trending in the right direction recently. The team has won five out of its last six games, including three impressive road wins against the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors. However, the team is only in eighth place in the East because many of the conference’s contenders heading into the season are creeping up the standings again.
After a dreadful start, the Milwaukee Bucks recently won the In-Season Tournament. The Cavs, Celtics, Knicks, and Magic are the top four seeds and are in very solid form. Even the Philadelphia 76ers just picked up a big Christmas Day win over Boston and are in Play-In territory. The East is increasingly getting more crowded, and many teams will leave the postseason disappointed due to their high expectations.
Indiana could be one of those teams if it does not improve on the glass. While the Pacers’ opponent on Thursday, the Oklahoma City Thunder, has the worst rebounding rate in the league, the Thunder also rank first in defensive efficiency. The Pacers do not. They are currently 22nd in that metric. The combination of not getting stops nor rebounding is a deadly combination for a team with championship aspirations.
Indiana is currently less than two games out of the seed it thrived in last year, No. 6. It’s not so much about seeding. It’s more about cleaning up the habits that doomed this team last year and have continued to plague it this year. The Pacers have a ton of elite athletes on their roster who could be elite rebounders. While the overlying issue of Tyrese Haliburton’s inconsistencies is eye-opening, the underlying problem that Pascal Siakam is referring to will give this team a ceiling that it doesn’t want to have heading into April.
The Indiana Pacers’ forward, Pascal Siakam, recently made a subtle but pointed remark about the team’s lack of support during a post-game interview. Siakam, who has been a key player for the Pacers this season, hinted at feeling undervalued and underappreciated by his teammates and coaching staff.
In the interview, Siakam mentioned how important it is for players to feel supported and encouraged by their team, both on and off the court. He also alluded to the fact that he has not been receiving the same level of support as some of his teammates, despite his contributions to the team’s success.
While Siakam did not directly call out any specific individuals or point fingers, his comments have raised eyebrows among fans and analysts. Many are speculating that there may be some underlying tension within the Pacers’ locker room, and that Siakam’s remarks could be a sign of larger issues bubbling beneath the surface.
It remains to be seen how the Pacers will respond to Siakam’s subtle call-out, but one thing is clear: the talented forward is not afraid to speak his mind and demand the respect he deserves. Fans will be eagerly watching to see how this situation unfolds in the coming days.
While most DCEU actors aren’t part of DC Studios’ DCU plans, The Suicide Squad star Sean Gunn has already landed multiple roles in the reboot being mapped out by his brother, James Gunn.
The Guardians of the Galaxy standout has stolen the show in Creature Commandos as G.I. Robot and reprised his previous role, Weasel, as well. While he’ll likely lend his voice to both characters in live-action somewhere down the line, Gunn’s main on-camera role will be as the villainous Maxwell Lord.
The character is expected to be less of a full-blown baddie and more of an antagonist in the DCU, bringing the Wonder Woman 1984 character (where he was played by Pedro Pascal) more in line with his comic book counterpart.
Superman set photos showcased the “LordTech” logo and it appears Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific all work for the businessman who, in the comics, ultimately breaks bad before getting his neck broken by Diana Prince.
In a new interview with The Kristian Harloff Show, Gunn was asked how his DCU version of Maxwell Lord will differ from what Pascal did in 2020.
“I can tell you that the one obvious thing is it’s me playing the role. It doesn’t just mean I’m going to give a different interpretation,” the actor started. “Your own body is the vessel for what you’re doing, so obviously…no one is gonna confuse me and Pedro Pascal’s performance. So we’re obviously going to do something different.”
“I think that James is good about directing me towards the relevant source material,” Gunn continued. “So, I think, the whole concept of the character takes a different type of tack. I saw the movie and Pedro is obviously a great actor, but what he does in that movie is not really relevant to anything that I’m doing.”
On the page, Maxwell Lord was initially depicted as a shrewd entrepreneur and an ally to superheroes before later becoming a major antagonist, using mind control and manipulation to further his goals. He has clashed with various heroes, including the Justice League and in some storylines, his actions have had significant repercussions on the wider DC Universe.
It’s unclear what the plan is for Lord or where we’ll first see him, but Superman seems likely given that we’ll see a group of superheroes there who may or may not be an early iteration of the Justice League of America (the “Justice League International,” perhaps).
Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sean Gunn opened up about his upcoming role as Maxwell Lord in the highly anticipated film “Justice League: Rebirth.” The actor revealed how his take on the character will differ from Pedro Pascal’s portrayal in “Wonder Woman 1984.”
Gunn shared that while Pascal’s performance as Maxwell Lord was charismatic and manipulative, he wanted to bring a darker and more sinister edge to the character. He explained that he drew inspiration from the comic book version of Maxwell Lord, who is known for his ruthless and power-hungry nature.
“I wanted to explore the darker aspects of Maxwell Lord’s personality and really delve into what drives him to do the things he does,” Gunn said. “I wanted to make him more of a formidable and formidable antagonist for the Justice League.”
Fans have been eagerly anticipating Gunn’s take on Maxwell Lord, and from the sounds of it, they won’t be disappointed. “Justice League: Rebirth” is set to hit theaters next year, and with Gunn at the helm, it’s sure to be a memorable and thrilling ride.
Pascal Siakam flirted with a double-double for the Pacers Friday night, grabbing nine rebounds and chipping in 14 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3PT, 1-2 FT) while also recording one steal and dishing out one assist in a 142-105 loss to the Celtics.
Fantasy Impact:
Siakam continues a solid stretch on both ends of the floor, finishing with five or more rebounds and 14 or more points in each of his last five games. The 30-year-old remains a versatile option for head coach Rick Carlisle in the Indiana starting five, averaging 19.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game to go along with a 22.0% usage rate so far this season.
In Friday night’s matchup against the Boston Celtics, Pascal Siakam put on a show as he flirted with a double-double performance. The Toronto Raptors forward showcased his versatility on both ends of the court, finishing the game with an impressive stat line.
Siakam recorded 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists, coming just shy of achieving a double-double. His tenacity on the boards and ability to facilitate plays for his teammates were on full display throughout the game.
Despite the Raptors falling short against the Celtics, Siakam’s performance was a bright spot for the team. His all-around game continues to be a crucial factor in Toronto’s success this season.
Fans can expect more standout performances from Siakam as he continues to showcase his skills and make an impact on the court. Stay tuned for more updates on Pascal Siakam and the Toronto Raptors.
