Philip Ike Obituary (1967 – 2025) – Bethlehem, PA
Philip J. Ike Sr., 57, of Phillipsburg NJ, formerly of Conway, South Carolina, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday morning, January 27, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the beloved husband of Sheri (Eldridge) Ike with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.Born in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Paul Edward Ike Jr. and the late Diane M. (Cox) Ike Barnes.
He worked for many years at Harkers Hollow Golf Course in Harmony, NJ as a greens-keeper until retiring due to illness. Prior he worked in farming for many years. Phil, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and golfing and belonged to a golf league for a few years, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his kids and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Sheri, he is survived by his son, Philip J. Ike Jr. (Amy Ivins); daughters, Jade L. Ike; Samantha M. Ike; brothers, Paul E. Ike III, Stanley E. Ike; sister, Nikki Timmons; grandchildren, Rosebud Ike, Bryndle Ike, Maxwell Ike, Marlee Ivins and Philip J. Ike III.
Services: At Philip’s request there will be no formal services, however his family are planning a celebration of his life at a later date.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Ike, beloved husband, father, and friend. Philip passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Bethlehem, PA at the age of 58.Philip was born on June 15, 1967, in Bethlehem, PA to parents William and Mary Ike. He grew up in the city and attended Bethlehem High School, where he excelled in academics and sports. After graduating, Philip went on to earn a degree in business from Lehigh University.
Philip had a successful career in finance, working for several prestigious firms throughout his life. He was known for his intelligence, work ethic, and kindness towards others. Philip was a devoted husband to his wife Sarah and a loving father to his two children, Emily and Michael.
In his free time, Philip enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
Philip is survived by his wife, children, parents, siblings, and many other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Philip Ike on September 15, 2025, at St. Mary’s Church in Bethlehem, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Philip’s name.
Rest in peace, Philip. You will always be remembered and cherished in our hearts.

Sarah Everhardt’s expected role at last year’s Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships seemed to be like that of an extra on a movie set, there to fill out a scene … or, in this case, the field for a competition.
After all, it was Everhardt’s national debut at the senior level, and she had finished 13th and 11th at the junior level the previous seasons, and her results leading up to the 2024 event were unremarkable.
So who could have foreseen Everhardt turning into a bit of a scene stealer as she finished fourth overall and third in the free skate? She did it with two clean programs (no negative grades of execution) for the first time in her career, according to skatingscores.com.
“I know I have it in me,” Everhardt said via Zoom. “When I go to a competition, I know that I’m capable of skating clean, doing my best. So I always just try to use that confidence going in.”
After a solid international season this fall, with a first and second in two Challenger Series events, Everhardt goes into this week’s nationals in Wichita, Kansas as one of a half-dozen medal contenders in a competition that became even more wide open when reigning world silver medalist Isabeau Levito withdrew last week with a foot injury.

Philipp Haun wechselte für die ELF-Saison 2022 von den Danube Dragons zu den Raiders Tirol. Gemeinsam gingen der Wide Receiver und da Tiroler American Fooball-Team in ihre erste Saison der European Football League (ELF). Nun verlängerte er für seine vierte ELF-Saison mit den Raiders Tirol.
INNSBRUCK. Wie die Raiders Tirol kürzlich bekannt gaben, wird der Wide Receiver Philipp Haun eine weitere Saison bei den Tirolern bleiben. Für die Raiders Tirol ist er eine wichtige Säule im Offensive-Spiel. In de vergangenen Saison kam er vier Touchdowns. Philipp Haun begann mit dem American Football im Jahr 2012. Bis 2017 war er bei den Danube Dragons im Nachwuchsteam. Im gleichen Jahr wurde er für das österreichische American Football-Nationalteam nominiert. Mit dem Team Austria wurde 2018 Vize-Europameister und 2023 Europameister. Im Jahr 2021 wurde er in der AFL (Austrian Football League) zum Offensive MVP (Most Valuable Player), in den Jahren 2016 bis 2018 und 2021 wurde er zum Team MVP und 2023 zum MVP der Europameisterschaft 2023 gewählt.
Philipp Haun mit überzeugenden Leistungen in der AFL und Nationalteam
In der Saison 2019 kam Philipp Haun in der ALF auf 11 Touchdowns. Er hatte in diesem Jahr die zweitmeisten Receiving Yard und Receiving Touchdowns. 2021 hatte er erneut die zweitmeisten Receiving Yards und die meisten Receptions. In dieser Saison kam er auf neun Touchdowns. Beim Spiel der österreichischen Nationalmannschaft um Platz fünf der Europameisterschaft 2021 erzielte er zwei Touchdowns.
Seit 2022 in der European League of Football
In der ELF-Saison 2022 nahmen auch die Raiders Tirol das erste Mal an dieser Football-League teil. Mit dem Tiroler American Football Team wagte auch der Wide Receiver Philipp Haun den Schritt in die höchste europäische American Football-Liga. Am 5. Juni 2022 – dem ersten Spiel der Raiders Tirol in der ELF – trafen sie auf die Vienna Vikings. Philipp Haun erzielte den ersten Touchdown der Raiders in der European League of Football.
Insgesamt kann Philipp Haun auf eine erfolgreiche Statistik in der ELF zurückblicken: In der ELF von 2022 bis 2024 kann er auf 16 Touchdowns zurückblicken.
