Heat at Spurs picks and predictions
Prediction
Heat 120, Spurs 115
Moneyline
The Heat are 6-2 with a rest advantage this season. The Spurs are 2-4 on the second game of a back-to-back this season.
The Heat have won the last 4 head-to-head meetings and are 8-1 in the last 9.
The Spurs have allowed 118 or more in 7 of their last 9 games, and the Heat are 11-4 when scoring at least 118.
BET HEAT (+115).
Against the spread
The Heat’s last 17 covers have been outright wins. The Spurs’ last 9 ATS losses have been outright losses.
That’s why I’m not betting the Heat to cover. If you think they are going to cover, then you should expect a win, and the moneyline gives you plus odds.
PASS.

The Jan. 19 meeting had 235 total points.
The Spurs’ last 12 games have had totals higher than 222.
BET OVER 221.5 (-115).

#Miami #Heat #San #Antonio #Spurs #odds #picks #predictionsNBA Picks, Predictions, Expert Bets for Saturday, February 1
We have a full slate of NBA action scheduled for tonight, with a total of 9 matchups on-tap. Here’s my NBA picks, predictions, and best bets for Saturday, February 1.
NBA Picks, Predictions for Saturday, February 1
Kings at Thunder
There’s a fascinating trend sequence in this game. OKC has the No.1 defense in the league, by a huge margin. So their totals are always compressed. But when the total is greater than 230 in Thunder games this season, the over is 6-1. But the way it’s happened is rare: the Thunder team total is 5-2 to the over, and the opponent team total is 5-2 to the under.
Finally, in the 29 games that OKC has covered the spread this season, the Thunder team total is 22-7 to the over, and the opponent team total is 22-7 to the under.
The Kings had a brief moment of hope and light after firing Mike Brown when they tore through a good stretch. But they’ve lost three of four, and with De’Aaron Fox’s trade request, team morale is at an all-time low. It’s not a good time to head to Oklahoma City.
Even with Jalen Williams out, I make this game OKC -11.
OKC -7.5, Thunder over 121.5 points, Kings under 114.5 points is +350 on DraftKings. We’re going for a beatdown by the Thunder here.
But wait, there’s more! As a separate very, very small SGP play, I’m also going to play the under. I have the Thunder projected at 121 points, and the Kings at just 104, for an under play. Add the under and we jump to +800.
SGP: Thunder -7.5 + Thunder over 121.5 points + Kings under 114.5 points (+350)
Lakers at Knicks
When the Lakers lose without Anthony Davis since the Bubble, the over is 33-30, 52 percent, nothing to write home about. But in road losses since the Bubble without Davis, the over is 23-15, and the opponent team total is 26-11-1 to the over.
I make the Knicks‘ total 122.3 vs. a line of 118.5.
The Lakers, somehow, someway, are third worst in points in the paint allowed this season. Precious Achiuwa is third among the Knicks behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson in points in the paint per 36 minutes. So I’ll take Achiuwa to put up 6+ points at +100, and throw in his over 4.5 (-125) in a Same Game Parlay.
PICKS: Knicks team total over 118.5, Precious Achiuwa 6+ points (+100)
SGP: Knicks over 118.5, Achiuwa over 4.5 points, Knicks ML (+222)Suns at Blazers
The Suns are on a 3rd-in-4 back-to-back so I’m worried about shenanigans here with the lineup before tip.
Phoenix is bottom-five in scoring allowed off spot-up possessions. Now, this isn’t just catch-and-shoot, but it includes drives off those. They limit the number of catch-and-shoot threes but at the cost of drives off closeouts without real rim protection.
I’m going with Jerami Grant over 12.5 points in his return from injury tonight. Grant leads the Blazers in points off spot-ups and this is one of Portland’s final exhibitions for his trade value.
PICK: Jerami Grant over 12.5 points (-110)

The Washington Wizards are set to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in a highly anticipated matchup. Both teams are looking to secure a win and improve their standing in the league. Here are the latest odds, picks, and predictions for this exciting game:Odds:
– Washington Wizards: +110
– Minnesota Timberwolves: -130Picks:
The Washington Wizards have been on a hot streak lately, winning their last few games. They have a strong offense led by Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, who have been playing at a high level. The Wizards will look to continue their winning ways against the Timberwolves. On the other hand, the Timberwolves have struggled this season and are currently at the bottom of the standings. Despite their struggles, they have shown flashes of potential and have a talented roster led by Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards.

In this matchup, I predict that the Washington Wizards will come out on top. They have been playing well recently and have a more balanced team compared to the Timberwolves. Sacramento Kings at Oklahoma City Thunder Odds, Picks and PredictionsThe Sacramento Kings will be facing off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in what promises to be an exciting matchup. Both teams have shown flashes of potential this season, but have also struggled at times. With the Kings fighting for a playoff spot and the Thunder looking to play spoiler, this game is sure to be a competitive one.
According to the latest odds, the Kings are favored to win this game. However, the Thunder have been known to surprise teams with their tenacity and never-say-die attitude. With that in mind, here are some picks and predictions for this game:
– The Kings have a more talented roster and are playing for a playoff spot, so they should be able to come out on top in this game. Look for De’Aaron Fox to have a big game and lead the Kings to victory.
– The Thunder have been playing better as of late and could give the Kings a run for their money. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been playing at an All-Star level and could be the difference-maker in this game.
– The over/under for this game is set at 220 points. Given both teams’ offensive firepower and struggles on defense, the over seems like a safe bet in this matchup.
Overall, this game has the potential to be a high-scoring affair with both teams looking to push the pace. While the Kings are favored to win, the Thunder have the ability to pull off an upset. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top in this exciting matchup.

Texas Tech at Houston odds, picks and predictions
The No. 19 Texas Tech Red Raiders (16-4, 7-2 Big 12) and the No. 5 Houston Cougars (17-3, 9-0) meet Saturday at Fertitta Center in Houston. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Texas Tech vs. Houston odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.
The Red Raiders have won 5 in a row, while covering 3 of the past 4 outings. That includes a 71-57 win as an 11.5-point favorite over TCU last time out Wednesday. The Under has cashed in 4 of the previous 5 outings.
The Cougars have rattled off 13 consecutive victories since a neutral-floor loss Nov. 30 against San Diego State. Houston has covered 8 of the past 10 games since Dec. 21, while the Under is on a 4-1 roll in the previous 5 contests.
Houston has won 4 in a row in this series since Dec. 23, 2014. Since the Cougars joined the Big 12, they have won and covered each of the 2 meetings since Jan. 17, 2024, including a victory in the conference tournament last spring. The Cougars are 4-0 ATS in the past 4 meetings, with the Over hitting in each of the encounters last season.

Texas Tech at Houston odds

- Moneyline (ML): Texas Tech +475 (bet $100 to win $475) | Houston -650 (bet $650 to win $100)

- Over/Under (O/U): 127.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)
Texas Tech at Houston picks and predictions
Prediction
Houston 66, Texas Tech 61
Moneyline
Houston (-650) will set you back 6 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for a standalone bet or as part of a multi-leg parlay. The Cougars have won 13 in a row, but this is way too much risk in a battle between ranked opponents.
PASS.
Against the spread
TEXAS TECH +10.5 (-110) is a solid play catching double digits against Houston -10.5 (-110). While the Cougars have covered each of the past 3 games, as a double-digit favorite UH is just 1-2 ATS in the past 3 tries, while going 6-6 ATS in the past 12 attempts.
For the Red Raiders, they’re 3-1 ATS in the past 4 outings. As an underdog, Texas Tech has won and covered the only previous instance at BYU Jan. 7, winning 72-67.
Over/Under
UNDER 127.5 (-115) is the lean, but this is a super-low number, so be careful.
The Under is 4-1 in the past 5 games for both of these teams. At home, the Under has cashed in each of the past 3 home games for Houston. The Under has hit in 2 of the past 3 road contests for Texas Tech, too.

Texas Tech at Houston Odds, Picks and PredictionsThe Texas Tech Red Raiders will be facing off against the Houston Cougars in what is sure to be an exciting college football matchup. Both teams are coming off strong performances in their previous games, and this showdown is shaping up to be a close one.
The odds currently have Texas Tech as the slight favorite, with a spread of -3.5 points. However, Houston is a strong team and has the home-field advantage, so this game could easily go either way.
When it comes to picks and predictions, it’s a tough call. Texas Tech has a powerful offense led by quarterback Tyler Shough, who has been putting up big numbers so far this season. On the other hand, Houston’s defense has been stout, and they have the ability to shut down high-powered offenses.
In the end, I believe this game will come down to the wire, with both teams trading blows back and forth. However, I’m leaning towards Texas Tech pulling out a close victory in this one. Look for Shough to make some big plays down the stretch and lead the Red Raiders to a hard-fought win.
Final prediction: Texas Tech 31, Houston 28.

Denver Nuggets vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction, Odds and Picks
The 3-game losing streak is no more after last night’s win at Philadelphia. The Nuggets got everything they wanted offensively, ending the game just shy of 66% shooting from the field, while also collecting 39 assists. That’s all well and good, but on the other end they also allowed 134 points from a team that’s without 2 of its top 3 players. So can we really trust the Nuggets to win on the road by 14 points here? They’ve covered the spread only once in 5 games, for the season they’re just 12-14 ATS in away games.
With just 1 win in 6 games the Hornets aren’t exactly lighting up the league at the moment, they’ll likely be without star player LaMelo Ball who did not participate in last night’s loss to the Clippers. Charlotte battled hard, Miles Bridges and Vasilije Micic had 27 and 20 points respectively, but as we all know this team is very limited at more than 1 position. The Hornets have dropped 5 straight home games vs Denver at home, but the good news is they are basically playing without any pressure at this point of the season.
Playing with no rest hasn’t affected the Nuggets all that much this season – they are 8-1 SU in 9 such games. But their defense is what concerns me here. Over their last 3 games they’re allowing 128.3 points per game which is the worst mark in the NBA. During this current road trip, we also saw them lose to a sub-par Chicago Bulls team as a 9.5-point favorite and while I do believe they’ll win here I just cannot trust them to cover. I’ll back the Hornets and the massive spread.

The Denver Nuggets will face off against the Charlotte Hornets in an exciting NBA matchup. Both teams have been playing well this season, and this game is sure to be a close one.The Nuggets are currently sitting in the middle of the Western Conference standings, with a record of 14-12. They have been led by the dynamic duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, who have been playing at an All-Star level. The Nuggets have a strong offense, but their defense has been a bit shaky at times.
On the other hand, the Hornets have surprised many this season with their strong play. They are currently sitting in the middle of the Eastern Conference standings, with a record of 13-14. LaMelo Ball has been a standout rookie for the Hornets, and Gordon Hayward has provided veteran leadership.
In terms of odds, the Nuggets are currently favored to win this game. However, the Hornets have been playing well and could pull off an upset. It will be a close game, and both teams will be looking to secure a win.
In terms of picks, I predict that the Nuggets will come out on top in a close game. Their offensive firepower will be too much for the Hornets to handle, and Jokic and Murray will lead them to victory. However, the Hornets are a talented team and could make it a close game until the end.
Overall, this game has the potential to be a high-scoring and entertaining matchup between two talented teams. Make sure to tune in and see who comes out on top in this exciting game between the Nuggets and the Hornets.

Nuggets at Hornets picks and predictions
Prediction
Nuggets 124, Hornets 112
Moneyline
PASS.
There’s no reason to look at the moneyline here. The Nuggets are a goliath road favorite and far too expensive to take, while the Hornets without Ball likely won’t pull off an upset.
Against the spread
BET HORNETS +13.5 (-118).
The Hornets have performed well as massive underdogs this season. They are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as double-digit underdogs and have talented scorers like Bridges taking the court. Charlotte is 2-1-1 ATS in its last 4 at home.
The Nuggets are 1-2 ATS in their last 3 games as favorites of 9 or greater and have failed to cover 4 straight, going 4-5 ATS in their last 9. They have allowed at least 122 in 5 straight games, so their defense may not allow them to separate by a sizable margin.
Back HORNETS +13.5 (-118).
Over/Under
BET OVER 222.5 (-115).
The Nuggets have allowed at least 129 points in 3 of their last 4 games. Denver is 5-1 O/U in its last 6 and 30-17-1 O/U on the season.
The Hornets have scored at least 107 in 8 of their last 11 games, going 5-6 O/U. Charlotte has allowed at least 112 in 2 of its last 3. Considering those trends, take OVER 222.5 (-115).

#Denver #Nuggets #Charlotte #Hornets #odds #picks #predictionsTexas Tech Red Raiders vs Houston Cougars Prediction, Odds and Picks
The Houston Cougars will put their 9-0 conference record on the line when they host the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday. Houston has been the class of the Big 12 thus far, and their recent road wins over Kansas and West Virginia further prove that. As for Texas Tech, they are currently 7-2 league play with recent wins at home over Oklahoma State and TCU. An upset win for the Red Raiders would tighten up the Big 12 regular season title race, and they may have a good chance to accomplish that in this matchup with the Cougars.
Houston is coming off 2 huge road wins, including a miraculous overtime win at Allen Fieldhouse against Kansas, so you could consider this to be a let down spot for the Cougars. The injury report is also important to monitor in this contest, as Emmanuel Sharp has been dealing with an ankle injury and was limited to 3 points in just 18 minutes in their last game vs West Virginia. Sharp is key for this Cougars team that lacks perimeter scoring depth outside of LJ Cryer, so consider this a big loss if he is either limited again or is unable to play in this contest.
Houston’s defense is #1 in adjusted efficiency, per KenPom, but Texas Tech’s offense may have one of the better setups to succeed against it. There are 3 important qualities for teams to have in order to generate offensive success against the Cougars, and those are ball security, 3-point shooting, and offensive rebounding. The Red Raiders grade out well in all 3 categories, as they are 80th nationally in turnover rate, 23rd in 3-point shooting percentage, and 22nd on the offensive glass. The spacing the Red Raiders have is especially important in this matchup against the Cougars’ rim denial defense, and forcing the Cougars’ bigs to guard on the perimeter can potentially break down Kelvin Sampson’s defense to an extent.
Texas Tech is dealing with an injury of their own, as Darrion Williams is questionable for this contest after missing last game vs TCU. While he is an important player for the Red Raiders in the long term, his loss may not be felt as much in this contest. Coach Grant McCasland has elected to use a 2 big man lineup during Williams’ absence, and this should help the Red Raiders significantly on the defensive glass. Houston is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country, but Texas Tech’s frontcourt combo of JT Toppin and Federiko Federiko has a great chance at limiting the Cougars in that area.
While it is scary to bet against Houston, that is exactly what we are going to do here with Texas Tech as a 9.5 point underdog. The favorable matchup the Red Raiders may have along with this potentially being a letdown spot for the Cougars is too much to ignore. If the Red Raiders get hot from 3-point range, they have potential to pull off the road upset, but my official pick will be taking the points.
Texas Tech vs Houston prediction: Texas Tech +9.5 (-110) at time of publishing, playable at that number

The highly anticipated matchup between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Houston Cougars is set to take place this weekend, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Both teams have had strong showings so far this season, making this game a must-watch for college football fans. The Red Raiders are coming off a big win against FIU, showcasing their explosive offense led by quarterback Tyler Shough. On the other side, the Cougars have been impressive as well, with a dominant defense and a balanced offensive attack.
In terms of odds, the Red Raiders are currently favored to win by a narrow margin, but the Cougars are not to be underestimated. This game could truly go either way, making it a tough one to predict.
As for picks, it’s a tough call, but I believe the Red Raiders will come out on top in a close and hard-fought battle. Their offense has been firing on all cylinders, and I think they will be able to outscore the Cougars in the end.
Overall, this matchup promises to be a thrilling one, with two talented teams battling it out for supremacy. Be sure to tune in and catch all the action as the Texas Tech Red Raiders take on the Houston Cougars.

The Atlanta Hawks are set to take on the Indiana Pacers in a highly anticipated matchup. Both teams are coming off strong performances and will be looking to continue their winning ways in this game. The odds for this game are very close, with the Pacers being slight favorites at -2.5. The over/under is set at 225.5 points, indicating that it could be a high-scoring affair.
In terms of picks and predictions, I believe that the Pacers will come out on top in this game. They have been playing well recently and have a strong home court advantage. With players like Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis leading the way, I think the Pacers will be able to outscore the Hawks and secure the victory.
However, the Hawks are a talented team as well, with Trae Young leading the way. They have the ability to keep this game close and potentially pull off the upset. It could come down to which team is able to execute their game plan better on both ends of the floor.
Overall, I expect a competitive and exciting game between these two teams. The Pacers have the slight edge in this matchup, but anything can happen in the NBA. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds on game day.
