  • Fantasy Basketball Pickups: Kel’el Ware takes over as starter

It’s finally happening. The Kel’el Ware breakout has arrived. Rostered in just 29% of leagues, Ware should be considered a must-roster player at this point. On Sunday, Ware started the second half of their win over the Spurs and contributed 25 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in 34 minutes. He had slowly taken on a larger role off the bench, and he had a few strong performances prior to that, but starting the second half was a sign that he had earned more responsibility.

On Tuesday, Ware moved into the starting lineup alongside Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt. It was the first start of his career, and he supplied 20 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes. There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Heat, specifically with what they’re going to do with Jimmy Butler. However, Ware has been a beacon of hope during these confusing times in Miami. The Heat still have two more games this week and three games next week.

Here are a few other options to consider streaming:

    PF/C Guerschon Yabusele (16% rostered), Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embiid’s availability will continue to be one of the biggest question marks in the league, which has opened up a ton of minutes for Yabusele and Andre Drummond, when available. Yabusele came off the bench on Tuesday, but he played more minutes than Drummond and was more productive statistically. The 76ers have two more games this week with a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, and they start next week with a back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday. Even if Embiid returns soon, he will miss at least two of their next four games. He is set to be re-evaluated soon, which should provide more clarity, but until he returns, Yabusele should be worth rostering.

SG/SF Duncan Robinson (14% rostered), Miami Heat

Robinson returned to the starting lineup three games ago and has been very productive. He had seven assists in his first start, and he has scored 43 points and hit 11 triples over their last two games. Robinson hasn’t been a dependable fantasy option this season, but he has the hot hand right now, making him worth considering if you need 3-pointers.

PG/SG Anthony Black (12% rostered), Orlando Magic

Black got the start on Tuesday and continued his productive stretch. This was his sixth straight game scoring in double figures, and he contributed 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer as a starter against Toronto with Cole Anthony (illness) sidelined. If Anthony remains out against Portland on Thursday, Black should continue to start and turn in strong value.

PG/SG Nick Smith Jr. (9% rostered), Charlotte Hornets

Smith Jr. remains widely available, but he has started their last two games and been productive. He has averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.0 steal and 4.0 threes per game as a starter, and with Brandon Miller out indefinitely, Smith Jr.’s starting job should be safe. They have three more games this week and two more four-game weeks after that.

Fantasy basketball managers, it’s time to take notice of rookie center Kel’el Ware. The young big man has officially taken over as the starting center for the Memphis Grizzlies and is making a big impact on both ends of the court.

Ware has been putting up impressive numbers in his new role, averaging double-digit points, rebounds, and blocks in his last few games. He’s showing off his shot-blocking prowess and has been a force on the boards.

If you’re looking to add a big man who can provide you with blocks, rebounds, and efficient scoring, Ware is your guy. He has the potential to be a game-changer for your fantasy team and could help lead you to victory.

Don’t wait too long to scoop up Ware off the waiver wire, as his value is only going to continue to rise as he settles into his starting role. Get ahead of the curve and add him to your roster before it’s too late.

    Week 9 Wrap Up

    Top Players in Week 9

“Classic Man” – Jidenna feat. Roman GianArthur

Who’s in My Rotation: Waiver Pickups

Players who should be rostered in all leagues under 50%:

De’Andre Hunter, Gradey Dick, Rui Hachimura, Alex Sarr, Yves Missi, Malcolm Brogdon, Malik Beasley and Andrew Nembhard.

Players to be added this week under 40% rostered:

One of the most valuable backups in fantasy basketball should be added to all leagues again, with Ja Morant day-to-day with a shoulder injury. With Morant off the floor, Pippen Jr. is averaging 15 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.7 stocks and 34 fantasy points per game this season. He’s also been efficient as a starter, shooting 53% from the field and 40% from 3.

With Dončić out for at least a month, Dinwiddie rejoins the Mavs starting unit. He’s been a proven streaming option when seeing an increased workload, averaging 17 points, 4.7 boards and 5.7 dimes as a starter this season. For those in 9-cat leagues, his FG% might be a slight hindrance, but the counting stats are worth the slight dip in that area. Quentin Grimes (19%) is the next best option if Dinwiddie is unavailable. Grimes also gets a boost because Naji Marshall was suspended for four games for his scuffle with Jusuf Nurkić.

It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the second-year pro, but he’s in a nice groove over the past week. He’s averaging 17/3/6 with almost 3 steals per game in his last three contests and while I’ll always prefer Henderson in points leagues over 9-cat, he’s been effective in both formats — ranking 39th in 9-cat and 51st in points leagues. The stock numbers and efficient shooting are rarities for Scoot, so fantasy managers should ride the wave while he’s hot.

    Early-to-mid week, Monday-Thursday:

DJJ some short-term stream appeal with the Clippers playing a Monday-Tuesday back-to-back against the Pelicans and Spurs. The Clippers also play on a six-game slate on Thursday versus the Thunder. That’s three games with one transaction before Kawhi Leonard’s potential return on Saturday. Jones Jr. will be an asset for fantasy managers needing steals, points and 3s. Kris Dunn (10%) is a deep league option if DJJ was scooped up.

The Nuggets face the Jazz on Monday and the Hawks on Wednesday, which is a good opportunity for Watson. Aaron Gordon (calf) will miss at least two more games. Watson’s scoring has been hit-or-miss lately, but he’s been a steady contributor for stocks in 9-cat leagues.

The Sixers have a nice schedule in Week 10, starting with the Trail Blazers on Monday and a back-to-back against the Warriors and Kings on Wednesday and Thursday. Joel Embiid and Paul George will likely sit one of those games, so Oubre is another player for whom one transaction can cover multiple games. His scoring has slowed with everyone healthy, but he’s still getting enough counting stats to be added in 12-team points and 9-cat leagues.

    Mid-to-late week, Thursday- Sunday:

The Lakers play three games in four nights from Thursday to Sunday, with matchups against the Blazers, Hawks and Rockets. With Russell gone, Knecht could move into the top option off the bench. He’s played well in his last two outings, averaging 15 points, five boards and 1.5 3s in 29 minutes of action.

Dort will be an option in 12-team leagues because one transaction can get three games in the backend of the week. The Thunder have tough sledding against the Clippers, Knicks and Celtics, but Dort is always a threat to generate steals and has been a top-100 player for the season.

The Magic play three games against the Pistons, Raptors and Jazz on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday this week. Caldwell-Pope is a better option for 9-cat leagues, but he’ll be worth streaming as the Magic are missing several key players. Caldwell-Pope has been a good source of 3s and stocks over the past two weeks. We could see an uptick in scoring with Jalen Suggs leaving Sunday’s game with a wrist injury.

     “Cheers”- Anderson Paak feat. Q-Tip

    Schedule Highlights

Week 10 is a favorable week to stream from waivers, with no slate exceeding nine games. Set your lineups early on New Year’s Eve (December 31), as games will start as early as 3 PM ET.

Here’s the list of the total number of games played this week:

    • Daily schedule: Monday (7), Tuesday (6), Wednesday (8), Thursday (6), Friday (9), Saturday (9) and Sunday (6)

A team I’d avoid streaming players from is the Phoenix Suns. They only play two games on Tuesday and Saturday. Looking ahead to Week 11, if you happen to have transactions left at the end of Week 10, pick up players like Royce O’Neale because the Suns are the only team to play five games next week.

Here’s the rest of the team’s number of games played:

    • 13 teams play four games: 4 Games: 76ers, Cavaliers, Celtics, Clippers, Jazz, Kings, Knicks, Lakers, Nuggets, Pelicans, Thunder, Warriors and Wizards

    • 16 teams play three games: Bulls, Grizzlies, Hawks, Heat, Hornets, Magic, Mavericks, Nets, Pacers, Pistons, Raptors, Rockets, Spurs, Timberwolves and Trail Blazers

    • 1 team plays two games: Suns

The back-to-back schedule can be found below:

    • Monday/Tuesday: Cavs and Clippers

    • Tuesday/Wednesday: Raptors

    • Wednesday/Thursday: 76ers, Heat and Nets

    • Thursday/Friday: Celtics, Lakers and Thunder

    • Friday/Saturday: Grizzlies, Hawks, Knicks, Nuggets, Pistons and Spurs

    • Saturday/Sunday: Jazz and Warriors

    Injury Status

Latest injury reporting for all NBA teams

NBA Injury Report – Monday, December 30

“Blessings” – Big Sean feat. Drake

    Rotation Notes

    • Brooklyn Nets: The Nets don’t play until Wednesday, leaving three days for D’Lo to return to his former team. Keon Johnson (13%) was a popular streaming option in Week 9, but that could be short-lived after this trade and Cam Thomas’ return on Sunday. Watch for Noah Clowney (17%) as one of the options to take over Finney-Smith’s minutes.

    • Charlotte Hornets: Vasilije Micić’s (6%) stock is up for Monday, as the Hornets are missing two of their best players, LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller. It’s likely a one-game stream, though, as the Hornets have three days off before playing again on Friday against the Pistons.

    • Golden State Warriors: At 65% rostered, Trayce Jackson-Davis has played exceptionally well for fantasy managers since the Warriors acquired Dennis Schröder. Over his last five games, the big man has averaged 14 points, 9 boards, 3 assists and 3 steals, with a high FG%. Add him to leagues of 10 or fewer teams.

    • New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson is doing light contact drills at practice, which is good news for fantasy managers who have had him on the shelf since November 6. He’s still without a timetable, but a return looks imminent.

    • Orlando Magic: The official NBA injury report lists Paolo Banchero as “return to competition, reconditioning,” so he’s likely nearing a return to the lineup. If a Banchero manager is struggling in the standings, get those trade offers in before he returns.

    • Washington Wizards: Justin Champagnie (21%) is an interesting play because while he’s coming off a career-high 31 points on Saturday, Kuzma returning to the lineup likely dampens his streaming potential.

“Ball Drop” – Fabolous feat. French Montana

Looking to improve your fantasy basketball team for Week 10? Look no further than The Playlist for waiver wire pickups and start/sit advice to help you dominate your league.

    Waiver Wire Pickups:

    1. Tyrese Haliburton, PG/SG, Sacramento Kings – Haliburton has been putting up solid numbers across the board and should be owned in all formats.

    2. Kevin Huerter, SG/SF, Atlanta Hawks – Huerter has been playing well with increased minutes and is worth adding if you need three-point shooting.

    3. Wendell Carter Jr., C, Orlando Magic – Carter has been playing well since being traded to the Magic and is a solid option at the center position.

    4. Jalen Brunson, PG/SG, Dallas Mavericks – Brunson has been a consistent contributor off the bench and is worth adding in deeper leagues.

    Start/Sit Advice:

    Start:
    – Julius Randle, PF/C, New York Knicks – Randle has been on a tear lately and should be started with confidence.
    – Dejounte Murray, PG, San Antonio Spurs – Murray has been putting up solid numbers and is a must-start option.
    – Keldon Johnson, SG/SF, San Antonio Spurs – Johnson has been playing well and is a solid option at the forward position.

    Sit:
    – Marvin Bagley III, PF/C, Sacramento Kings – Bagley has been inconsistent and is worth sitting until he proves otherwise.
    – Cam Reddish, SG/SF, Atlanta Hawks – Reddish has been struggling with injuries and is a risky start at the moment.
    – Jusuf Nurkic, C, Portland Trail Blazers – Nurkic has been underwhelming this season and is worth sitting until he turns things around.

Make sure to check your lineup and make any necessary adjustments before the Week 10 games begin. Good luck!

  • Fantasy basketball waiver wire pickups: Sarr, Sochan stand out

Fantasy basketball waiver wire pickups: Sarr, Sochan stand out

Working the waiver wire is pivotal to succeeding in fantasy basketball. With so many games, injuries and endless shifts in rotations throughout the marathon campaign, we’ll need to source stats from free agency to maximize our imaginary rosters.

A willingness to entertain competition for the final few spots on your fantasy hoops roster can prove rewarding. When curating this fluid collective of statistical contributors, it helps to consider your end-of-the-bench players in direct competition with the talent floating in free agency.

The goal of this weekly series is to identify players at each position widely available in free agency in ESPN leagues. Some are specialists capable of helping in one or two categories, while others deliver more diverse and important statistical offerings. In the breakdowns below, I’ve listed players at each position in order of priority, rather than roster percentage, in ESPN men’s basketball leagues.

    Point guard

Andrew Nembhard, SG, Indiana Pacers (rostered in 26.4% of ESPN leagues): We saw Nembhard flash with some special stretches of play in the playoffs last season. This season, he’s putting together wholly impressive games in the regular season. Sunday saw the combo guard nearly compile a triple-double in a smooth showing against a formidable Celtics team. There will still be some quiet lines, but Nembhard is also a quietly ascending player.

Spencer Dinwiddie, SG, Dallas Mavericks (9.1%): The calf injury to Luka Doncic appears likely to last several weeks, which vaults Dinwiddie into a throwback role as a high-usage playmaker. While he’s no Doncic, Dinwiddie can collect dimes in bunches and is a willing slasher and shooter on a team likely to empower him until his superstar teammate is back.

Scoot Henderson, Portland Trail Blazers (27.3%): Inefficiency is still the main theme with Henderson’s game, although a recent run of improved play is worth discussing. After all, he’s not just dishing dimes, he’s also among the best steal sources the past week with eight in his last three games. Stash the second-year talent to see if this is a trend or merely a hot streak.

    Shooting guard

Shaedon Sharpe, SF, Portland Trail Blazers (36.6%): A bucket’s bucket, Sharpe has lofted 15.1 shots per game over his past nine starts. The scoring guard is netting nearly 19 PPG on respectable efficiency, while the pitch for him as a fantasy option speaks to the damage he can do when hot from deep. Sharpe is a bit cool in December from 3-point range, but I’d rather get ahead of the next binge.

Keon Johnson, Brooklyn Nets (2.4%): That smell might be a fire sale in Brooklyn. The team is beginning to wheel and deal veteran contributors, which means Johnson could stick as a viable rotation player in the coming weeks. The young guard has impressively averaged over two combined steals and blocks the past week, suggesting some value is present if the minutes prove steady.

    Small forward

De’Andre Hunter, PF, Atlanta Hawks (39.0%): Injuries have been the story the past few seasons with Hunter, but a new chapter is being written this season; the Virginia product has found his groove in Atlanta’s system as a two-way big wing. A surge in steal production also helps add some dimension to his profile past scoring and rebounding.

Bilal Coulibaly, SG, Washington Wizards (39.8%): Awesome defensive production married with new-found skills on offense helps this second-year wing become a special fantasy option. The leap in passing production over the past month speaks to where his game might go if or once the team moves on from some veteran players.

Justin Champagnie, Washington Wizards (10.9%): It’s somehow Wizards week, but each has earned interest in different ways. Champagnie is a wing who, like his brother in San Antonio, has latched on to the league via committed defense and hustle and a surprisingly savvy offensive bag. The recent key is a big leap in rebounding, which seems to keep him on the floor.

    Power forward

Jeremy Sochan, San Antonio Spurs (47.4%): Off my radar in terms of breakout players, Sochan is doing just that. The fun forward is suddenly a steady rebounding force with versatile defensive rates. Improved offense is essentially gravy on top of what could be a really rewarding run for Sochan in this unique Spurs system.

Larry Nance Jr., C, Atlanta Hawks (6.2%): Likely to return from injury this week, Nance can produce big fantasy lines when capable of handling more than 20 minutes of exposure. Sticky hands on defense and great passing skills surface whenever he’s on the floor.

    Center

Goga Bitadze, Orlando Magic (42.0%): Only Victor Wembenyama, Nikola Jokic, and Karl-Anthony Towns rate above Bitadze among players eligible at center on the Player Rater the past two weeks. The Magic are forced in a sense to ride with Bitadze in all lineup looks given the injuries that have hit the team’s frontcourt. Elite rebounding, rim protection, and interior scoring results are currently part of the package.

Alexandre Sarr, PF, Washington Wizards (24.8%): It would be nice if Sarr rebounded at a level expected of his position, but we’ve already mentioned how several gritty Wizards are collecting boards. One thing Sarr does that no one on the roster can is swat any and all types of shots. For those in need of rim protection, the rookie is worthy of roster space.

    Special teams

This section focuses on specialists, players who flash in a singular category and can provide specific value to those in category and roto formats. Nominations are based on which category such players are helpful in and will rotate throughout the season.

3-pointers: Weekly inclusion Payton Pritchard remains an incredible shooting specialist, ranking fifth in added value via 3-pointers the past two weeks. Of the widely-available crowd, Henderson is having an impact from deep the past week.

Steals: The Grizzlies are getting positive shooting, passing, and steal results from Scotty Pippen Jr. in recent games.

Blocks: Bitadze is sixth in value in rim protection the past week. Daniel Gafford is doing damage in this category the past two weeks, as well.

Rebounds: Bitadze and the Golden State WarriorsTrayce Jackson-Davis are positive rebounding sources you can find on the waiver in most leagues.

Assists: Nembhard has been a great passing source for an off-ball guard. Pippen is valuable for passing volume whenever Ja Morant is sidelined.

The fantasy basketball waiver wire is a gold mine for finding hidden gems that can help propel your team to victory. Two players that stand out this week are Olivier Sarr and Johni Broome.

Sarr, a center for the Oklahoma City Thunder, has been putting up impressive numbers lately, averaging 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. With Al Horford out of the lineup, Sarr has stepped up and become a key player for the Thunder. He is currently owned in only 25% of leagues, so make sure to scoop him up before others catch on.

Sochan, a forward for the Baylor Bears, has been a force on both ends of the court, averaging 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. He is currently owned in only 15% of leagues, making him a great pickup for teams in need of frontcourt help.

Both Sarr and Sochan have the potential to make a big impact for your fantasy team, so don’t hesitate to add them to your roster before it’s too late.

Last-minute fantasy pickups – Week 17: Chig Okonkwo | Fantasy Football Live

Yahoo Sports fantasy analyst Andy Behrens explains why the Tennessee Titans tight end is worth a start in championship week.

    Video Transcript

Andy Barns, give me a last minute pickup that’s still out there and available that people can get them.

We’ll help them win their trophies.

Yeah, I’m not always a huge fan of dipping into the waiver wire for randoms and championship week, but plenty of us have been just in the tight end wilderness all season.

If that’s you, then I think Titan’s tight end Chigoonkwo can help.

After a mostly quiet season, and honestly a mostly quiet career.

Aonwo is suddenly a target magnet.

He’s drawn 21 targets over the past two weeks.

    He’s caught 17 for 140 yards.

We just don’t have a lot of tight ends out there doing that.

Some of this has been game flow, obviously.

Tennessee has been in shootouts with the Colts and the Bengals over the last two weeks.

Some of it is also just the fact that Conk was a bit of a playmaker.

We’ve seen the big playability previously, but he’s always been attached to a bad quarterback situation as a secondary receiver.

He’s dealing with the unfortunate QB, but it’s tough to argue with the recent volume.

Also tough to argue with this week’s matchup against Jacksonville.

That is the league’s most generous pass defense.

It’s also a team that’s allowed the 7th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, so it’s a great spot.

If you’re hurting at a very messy position, again, many of us are a cono is a great answer in title.

Are you scrambling to fill your roster for the final week of the fantasy football season? Look no further than Chig Okonkwo as a last-minute pickup for Week 17.

Okonkwo has emerged as a reliable option at the tight end position for the New Orleans Saints, and with their high-powered offense, he has the potential to put up big numbers in the season finale. With injuries and COVID-19 protocols affecting many teams, Okonkwo could be the difference maker in your championship matchup.

ANALYSIS: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks was once a must-start option for fantasy players. Unfortunately, the veteran wide receiver has had little fantasy football value in 2024. He is the WR101 for the year, averaging 5.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.

Furthermore, Cooks missed seven games because of a knee injury. The veteran has had some solid moments this season, scoring three touchdowns, including two since returning to the lineup. However, he hasn’t scored more than 9.1 fantasy points in a game since Week 1.

Yet, Cooks could have some appeal as a flex option in deeper leagues over the final two weeks of the regular season. The Cowboys announced that CeeDee Lamb is done for the year with a shoulder injury, making the veteran the team’s new No. 1 wide receiver. Cooks has a favorable matchup in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders.

Are you still fighting for a fantasy football championship in Week 17? If you’re looking to make some last-minute moves to secure a win, consider picking up Brandin Cooks off the waiver wire.

Cooks has been a reliable fantasy option all season, consistently putting up solid numbers for the Houston Texans. In Week 16, he had a standout performance with 8 receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. With Cooks facing the Tennessee Titans in Week 17, who have struggled on defense this season, he could be in for another big game.

If Cooks is available in your league, don’t hesitate to scoop him up and plug him into your lineup. He has a high ceiling and could be the difference-maker in your championship matchup.

So, don’t overlook Brandin Cooks as a potential waiver wire pickup for Week 17. He could be the key to bringing home a fantasy football title.

  • Fantasy Basketball Pickups: Time for Grimes?

Fantasy Basketball Pickups: Time for Grimes?

Christmas Day in the NBA was indeed merry and bright for fans, as all five games were close and entertaining.

As for fantasy managers… it was a mixed bag. Mikal Bridges and Victor Wembanyama traded 40-point games in the opening matchup as the Knicks edged the Spurs.

Minnesota won a tight matchup with Dallas after Luka Doncic went down with a calf strain. Kyrie Irving picked up the slack with 39 points, but who else will step up? Doncic is expected to miss an extended period of time which opens the door for players like Spencer Dinwiddie and Quentin Grimes.

Philly won in Boston as the Sixers’ Big 3 all played 30+ minutes. It was Caleb Martin, however, who played hero at TD Garden with 23 points and seven triples. Jayson Tatum returned to post 32/15/4, but the big game just wasn’t enough.

Steph Curry and LeBron James traded blows in a Christmas Day classic that ended with a Curry logo three to tie up the game and an Austin Reaves go-ahead bucket with a second remaining. Anthony Davis’ first-quarter injury opened up 29 minutes for Gabe Vincent and 25 for Dalton Knecht, though Knecht was the better option.

The nightcap saw Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal combine for 54 points to lead Phoenix past Denver after losing to the Nuggets on Monday. Aaron Gordon was forced to leave early with a calf injury, and if he’s sidelined moving forward, Julian Strawther and Peyton Watson would be in line for more playing time, though neither one is an appealing streamer.

Here are some players worth adding after Wednesday’s five-game slate:

    Quentin Grimes (6% rostered)
Grimes finished with 10 points, seven boards, two dimes, a block and a pair of triples Wednesday. The stats were fine, but the playing time is the real story here. In the wake of Luka Doncic’s injury, Grimes’ 24 minutes were best among bench players, and he could be the next man up for Dallas. Spencer Dinwiddie (10% rostered) went for 2/1/2/1 in 14 minutes, but he could also see an uptick in playing time moving forward.

    Caleb Martin (8% rostered)
Martin hit a career-high seven three-pointers against Boston. We won’t count on him to channel his inner Klay Thompson too often, but he should see some additional run with KJ Martin on the shelf, making Martin a worthwhile option in deeper leagues.

    Al Horford (32% rostered)
Kristaps Porzingis logged only 13 minutes Wednesday due to left ankle soreness, and Big Al finished the game with 17/4/2 and a blocked shot across 33 minutes. He’s worth a look in case Porzingis is forced to miss time.

    Dalton Knecht (16% rostered)
After Anthony Davis went down in the first quarter, Los Angeles didn’t give Christian Koloko big minutes. Instead, the team played small ball, and Gabe Vincent and Dalton Knecht saw increased run off the bench. Vincent is typically on the court for a healthy dose of cardio, but Knecht made a significant impact.

Fantasy Basketball Pickups: Time for Grimes?

With injuries piling up and players underperforming, it may be time to consider adding Quentin Grimes to your fantasy basketball roster. The young guard for the New York Knicks has been turning heads with his recent performances and could be a valuable asset for your team.

Grimes has shown flashes of his potential, scoring double digits in points in multiple games and contributing in other categories such as rebounds and steals. With his shooting ability and defensive prowess, he has the potential to provide a well-rounded fantasy stat line.

As the Knicks continue to deal with injuries to key players, Grimes could see an increase in playing time and opportunity to showcase his skills. This could translate to more fantasy production and make him a valuable pickup for your team.

If you’re in need of a boost in your fantasy lineup, it may be worth taking a chance on Grimes and adding him to your roster before others catch on. Keep an eye on his performances and see if he can continue to make an impact for your team.

Raheem Blackshear: Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups – Week 17 (2024)

BALLER MOVE: Add if you own Chuba Hubbard

    ROSTERED IN: 0% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: With Chuba Hubbard dealing with a knee injury and officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers, Raheem Blackshear is a potential add in some leagues heading into Week 17. However, fantasy managers should only add him if they currently roster Hubbard.

If Hubbard were to miss this week’s game, Blackshear would be in line for a bigger workload. With Jonathon Brooks (knee) out for the season and Miles Sanders (ankle) still on injured reserve, the 26-year-old running back would see the majority of carries out of the backfield for the Panthers on Sunday. In that case, he would be a potential flex play in 12-plus team leagues.

But Blackshear isn’t really worth an add in most leagues right now. It sounds like Hubbard will be good enough to play in Week 17 after practicing in a limited fashion on Thursday and Friday.
