Pinewood Pro’s Tungsten Spheres (also known as BBs) give you maximum flexibility and precision weighing when designing your derby car for Pinewood Derby racing. Pinewood Pro uses these exact weights when creating some of our pre-weighted car bodies. We find adding the weight in smaller increments is one of the best ways to dial in a perfect center of gravity.

Tungsten is 1.7x denser than lead and 2.7x denser than zinc. This makes it simple to put more weight in a smaller area, exactly where you need it on your pinewood derby car to maximize inertia and speed to the finish line.
