New Title: “Solana Prices Dip Below $150, Marking 2021’s Lowest Point – What Does This Mean for Investors?”
Post:
Solana, the popular cryptocurrency known for its fast transactions and low fees, has recently seen a significant drop in price, falling below the $150 mark. This decline marks the lowest point for Solana in 2021, leaving many investors wondering what the future holds for this digital asset.
So, what does this latest price drop mean for investors? While it’s natural to feel concerned when prices take a downward turn, it’s important to remember that the cryptocurrency market is known for its volatility. Prices can fluctuate rapidly, and a single event can have a significant impact on the market as a whole.
For those considering investing in Solana at this lower price point, now may be a good opportunity to buy in. Historically, cryptocurrencies have shown a pattern of bouncing back from price drops, often reaching new all-time highs in the process. Of course, it’s important to conduct thorough research and consider your own risk tolerance before making any investment decisions.
Additionally, this price drop could present an opportunity for current Solana holders to accumulate more of the digital asset at a lower cost. By taking advantage of these price dips, investors can potentially increase their holdings and position themselves for future gains when prices inevitably rise again.
As always, it’s crucial to stay informed about market trends and developments in the cryptocurrency space. By staying up to date on the latest news and analysis, investors can make more informed decisions about their investments and navigate the volatile crypto market with confidence.
BELTSVILLE, Md. — Bus routes at schools across Prince George’s County are impacted after a lockdown at a high school in Beltsville due to a large fight that caused the school to go into lockdown Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, a fight broke out at High Point High School causing officers to be called to campus shortly after 12:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they placed the school under lockdown status out of an abundance of caution.
Police say the fight involved multiple students but have not said the exact number.
Officers say no injuries or gunshots have been reported at this time.
Police began canvassing the school grounds for any possible weapons but nothing was found.
The lockdown caused the school’s dismissal to be delayed by around 30 minutes, which also impacted bus routes at 23 other schools.
Prince George’s County Schools released a statement around 3:30 p.m. saying:
“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) is aware of a video circulating on social media and an incident that occurred today at High Point High School. An altercation took place in the temporary classroom area and students reported that a weapon was brandished. Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) officers responded and initiated a school-wide lockdown starting at 12:36 p.m. to conduct a search; however, no weapon was located.
No students or staff members were harmed during this incident and instruction continued while on lockdown. Due to the time required to secure the school and complete the search, dismissal was delayed by approximately 30 minutes. Working with PGPD, security staff conducted a staggered dismissal to ensure student safety. The dismissal delay is also impacting bus routes at 23 other schools.
Any additional inquiries about the investigation should be directed to PGPD.”
Yesterday afternoon, High Point High School went into lockdown after a fight broke out between several students. The altercation started in the cafeteria and quickly escalated, prompting school staff to take immediate action to ensure the safety of all students and faculty.
During the lockdown, students were instructed to remain in their classrooms with the doors locked while law enforcement officers responded to the scene. The situation was quickly brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment in our schools. It is crucial that students are able to focus on their education without fear of violence or disruption.
The school administration is currently investigating the cause of the fight and will be taking appropriate disciplinary action against those involved. Parents and guardians are encouraged to talk to their children about the importance of conflict resolution and seeking help from adults if they feel threatened or unsafe.
We are grateful for the quick response of the school staff and law enforcement officers in handling the situation and ensuring the safety of everyone on campus. Let us work together to prevent future incidents and create a positive and peaceful learning environment for all students at High Point High School.
The trade deadline is one week away and the Lakers are still searching for the right answer to their problems.
Is that a center? A point guard? A third star? A combination of those three?
The front office will assess those questions in the coming days. While fans wait, let’s catch up on the latest rumors and reports.
Myles on the move?
One of the names to emerge over the last week has been Myles Turner from the Pacers. Effectively, there was no report linking him to the Lakers other than people citing a history of links to the Lakers and Turner’s contract expiring at season’s end.
Naturally, since this didn’t have a starting point, there really isn’t much smoke to this one, at least according to longtime NBA reporter Marc Stein. In his latest Substack newsletter, Stein said the Pacers are only looking to move Turner if they get another starting center in return.
Yet the prevailing leaguewide sense, one week out from the trade buzzer, is that the Pacers do not want to trade Turner.
There is a strong belief among some league personnel that Indiana would need to see proposals that return a starting-level center to even consider the notion.
There are three-team machinations of deals that could potentially send the Pacers a starting center while landing the Lakers Turner, but those are complicated deals. And those are only possible if the Pacers want to move Turner, which remains to be seen.
Center not the biggest need?
While there’s been plenty of talk about the center position — and more to come shortly — that isn’t the only position of need for the Lakers currently.
After trading away D’Angelo Russell, the Lakers have been short on playmakers on the roster. There has been a heavy reliance on Austin Reaves and LeBron James in the starting lineup while Gabe Vincent’s recent strong play has come at a critical time.
However, that might not be a sustainable formula moving forward, and the Lakers know it. According to Dan Woike of the LA Times in a recent extensive piece, the need for another ball handler is very apparent even to those in the locker room.
A center also is not the Lakers’ lone need. According to players inside the locker room discouraged from publicly discussing trade targets, there’s a desire for more playmaking, a need that’s become clear since the team traded D’Angelo Russell.
As much as the discussion has been about the need for center, perhaps equally important is the need to bring in another guard. With Vincent out, the Lakers have to turn to one of Shake Milton or Bronny James and, as fans saw on Tuesday against the Sixers, those are not good solutions.
Looking for a big man
Ultimately, the Lakers’ trade deadline will probably be graded on whether they land another center. Although this has been a need for some time, Anthony Davis’ public remarks amplified the pressure on the front office to find an upgrade.
But the Lakers are not alone in searching for a center. As Woike also noted in his piece, the price for big men is high as the deadline nears.
In conversations with executives inside and outside of the organization, it’s become clear that the costs for starting-caliber NBA centers are high — particularly ones good enough to force the Lakers into the kind of seismic change that moving Davis to power forward and LeBron James to small forward would cause.
Trading for a big man just for the sake of bringing in another center isn’t going to solve any problems. Finding one that can both complement AD and also excel without him is quite the needle to thread.
But, Woike still reports that the team is looking for potential options.
The Lakers have been actively exploring adding a big man, though it’s not being done recklessly, according to NBA executives. Concerns about cost, fitting Redick’s preferred style of play and the ripples from moving Davis — namely playing James major minutes at small forward — are being weighed.
With Walker Kessler, the No. 1 target for most fans, seemingly unavailable at the deadline, it really thins the list of players who fit all the criteria the Lakers need.
The Lakers aren’t in a particularly easy situation to find upgrades, but they certainly are under a lot of pressure to do so. Sure sounds like fun!
The Los Angeles Lakers are not wasting any time in their quest to fill out their roster for the upcoming season. With the trade deadline looming, the Lakers are actively looking for a point guard to bolster their backcourt.
One of the names that has been circulating in Lakers rumors is Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers. The 25-year-old center is known for his shot-blocking prowess and would provide a defensive anchor in the paint for the Lakers. However, reports indicate that the Pacers are asking for a hefty price in return for Turner, potentially including a combination of draft picks and young players.
While the Lakers are intrigued by the possibility of adding Turner to their lineup, they are also exploring other options at the point guard position. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, the Lakers are looking for a playmaker who can facilitate the offense and take pressure off of their star duo.
Names like Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors and Lonzo Ball of the New Orleans Pelicans have been mentioned in Lakers rumors as potential targets. Both guards bring different skill sets to the table, with Lowry known for his leadership and championship experience, while Ball is a young and talented playmaker with room to grow.
As the trade deadline approaches, Lakers fans will be eagerly anticipating any updates on potential acquisitions. With a championship on the line, the Lakers are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of adding talent to their roster. Stay tuned for more Lakers rumors as the deadline draws near.

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Mindy Kaling–produced show, Running Point starring Kate Hudson, on January 30, and there are really only two possible reactions to it:
1. Is it about to be a gigantic hit? 2. Was that Chet Hanks?
The answer to the first question is yes, because a basketball show that stars Kate Hudson hits every quadrant. And the answer to the second is also yes, that isChet Hanks, and furthermore, he is talking about Hudson’s boobs. The show follows her character, Isla Gordon, who gets promoted to owner of her family’s basketball team, the Los Angeles Waves, over her brothers, The Mick’s Scott MacArthur (as sloppy brother) and The Other Two’s Drew Tarver (as gay brother). Plus, Brenda Song — currently in the midst of a small renaissance between this show, The Last Showgirl, and that Cosmopolitan cover — plays Hudson’s assistant. In the middle of the trailer, Hudson’s character gets called a “nepo baby,” followed by “nepo crone,” which is particularly funny in the context of a show featuring Hanks.
Hanks, it appears, plays a Waves player who has more than a little sass. “Respectfully,” he tells Hudson, without his Jamaican accent, “I’ve seen your titties on the internet, so I can’t really take you serious.” Despite this stellar line delivery, the nepo baby we’re most excited about watching in this show is still London Tipton.
Exciting news for fans of action-packed thrillers! Kate Hudson and Chet Hanks have been cast as the leads in the upcoming film “Running Point.” The movie follows a skilled undercover agent (Hudson) who teams up with a charming but reckless ex-con (Hanks) to take down a dangerous criminal organization.
With Hudson’s knack for intense and emotional performances, paired with Hanks’ charismatic on-screen presence, this dynamic duo is sure to bring the heat in this high-stakes adventure. Get ready for heart-pounding action, unexpected twists, and edge-of-your-seat suspense as these two stars run point in this adrenaline-fueled thriller.
Stay tuned for more updates on “Running Point” and get ready to see Kate Hudson and Chet Hanks in action like never before! #RunningPoint #KateHudson #ChetHanks #ActionThriller
Kate Hudson stars as the president of a US basketball team
The sports comedy has faced criticism for reportedly copying Ted Lasso
It’s hard to imagine how any sports comedy could emulate the success of Ted Lasso. Well, Netflix looks to be hoping to do just that by swapping soccer for basketball in the new trailer for sports comedy series Running Point.
Netflix has taken a leaf out of Ted Lasso’s book and created a new female boss in the sports industry. Running Point stars Kate Hudson as Isla Gordon, who is unexpectedly appointed the head of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most famous professional basketball franchises in the US.
In the new trailer (see below), ambitious and fiery Isla fights to prove she’s the right person for the job, despite facing backlash from her male colleagues. From just watching the trailer, Running Point shares a similar humor and feel-good vibe to the hugely popular series Ted Lasso. Hey, I can’t complain, it looks like a perfect watch while I wait for a rumored fourth season of the best Apple TV Plus show.
Running Point | Official Trailer | Netflix – YouTube
In Running Point, when Isla’s brother is forced to resign as president of the Los Angeles Waves, she’s chosen to take over his role. Constantly overlooked by others, Isla must navigate the male-dominated world of sports and prove to her dubious brothers, the board, and the sports community that she’s up for the job.
It’s no illusion that the Mindy Kaling-created series has similarities to Ted Lasso, as Running Point has already been accused of copying its concept. According to The News in August 2024, it was reported that Ted Lasso creator and leading star Jason Sudeikis was “unimpressed with the similarities” between Running Point and his critically acclaimed show, which is about an American football coach that’s brought in to manage a British soccer team.
An insider close to the actor reportedly told the publication: “When Ted Lasso took off, it was such an offbeat, optimistic and wacky show that Jason legitimately believed it would be impossible to imitate. For a while there, he was right.
“Little did Jason know that pretty much the second Lasso ended production, there would be copycats popping up like weeds on the various streaming services. The copycat that particularly bugs him is Netflix’s sports comedy Running Point, which has completed shooting and which will roll out next year.”

Kate Hudson has always been known for her charming and comedic performances on screen, but in the new trailer for Netflix’s sports comedy series Running Point, she truly embodies the spirit of everyone’s favorite optimistic soccer coach, Ted Lasso.
With her infectious smile and can-do attitude, Hudson’s character in Running Point is reminiscent of Jason Sudeikis’ lovable coach from the hit Apple TV+ series. From her motivational speeches to her quirky coaching techniques, Hudson’s portrayal is sure to win over audiences just like Lasso did.
The trailer for Running Point showcases Hudson’s comedic timing and natural charm, making it clear that she is the perfect choice to lead this hilarious and heartwarming series. With a talented ensemble cast and plenty of feel-good moments, Running Point is shaping up to be the next must-watch comedy on Netflix.
So grab your popcorn and get ready to cheer on Kate Hudson as she channels her inner Ted Lasso in Running Point, coming soon to Netflix. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it!

Ahead of Scream’s Mason Gooding coming back for Ghostface’s next appearance, the actor is the leading man in a Valentine’s Day treat among upcoming horror movies, Heart Eyes. Halloween has Michael Myers, Christmas has Krampus and Thanksgiving has John Carver, and from now on, V-Day will have the Heart Eyes Killer. When CinemaBlend spoke to Gooding and his co-lead Olivia Holt, the Scream actor had a hilarious reaction to being a frequent horror movie survivor… thus far anyway.
Prior to Heart Eyes, Gooding has become somewhat of a Scream King having played Chad Meeks-Martin in both 2022’s Scream and as part of the Scream 6 cast a year later, which had him surviving Ghostface on two occasions and officially coming back for the seventh movie, which will include Neve Campbell’s return. The actor was also in last year’s nostalgic horror comedy Y2K, which saw him surviving, too. When I mentioned his impressive track record for a frequent horror star, Gooding shared his thoughts on finally dying in a horror movie (someday). In his words:
Oh, I’m just praying someone has the gall to kill me [in a horror movie]. I feel like I’ve earned it at this point, but for some reason my characters have a level of immortality that just eludes my desire to be killed, on screen, of course. I would love to die naked for some reason. That just sounds about right. I don’t know how it’ll happen.
Well… that’s one way to go. It sounds like Mason Gooding has been thinking about how he’d like to go, and had a really funny and fully fleshed out answer. I especially loved seeing his co-star, Olivia Holt, react with one-word:
Unreal.
Don’t you worry, Mason Gooding had more to his personal pitch on how he’d like to die in a horror movie. As I said, his answer was quite well thought out.
You don’t think that that would make a lot of sense? Like, we’re naked for so much of our lives. It only makes sense that we would die the same way we were brought into this world: naked and afraid.
Look, it’s a fantastic idea, and of course, if it did happen, he wouldn’t be the first actor to die in a horror movie in his birthday suit. Perhaps one of the most famous kills in horror movies was in 1960’s Psycho, when Janet Leigh’s Marion Crane is murdered while in the shower, a moment which was set to an unforgettable score and some Hershey’s chocolate syrup and has lived on immortally ever since. (Check out the classic scene on YouTube).
Will Mason Gooding survive the Heart Eyes Killer? You’ll have to see for yourself when the movie comes out next weekend, just one week ahead of Valentine’s Day. Heart Eyes comes from writers Christopher Landon of the Happy Death Day movies and Freaky alongside It’s A Wonderful Knife’s Michael Kennedy and Philip Murphy. The movie was directed by Werewolves Within’s Josh Ruben.
When it comes to Heart Eyes, the mysterious killer haunts couples on V-Day, however, in the case of Gooding’s Jay and Holt’s Ally, they become perplexed when they are stalked by him when they are not lovers, but coworkers, who briefly pretended to be. It’s great to see Mason Gooding lead his own horror film this time around in Heart Eyes, and despite his desire to die on screen, I hope he keeps the streak alive for years to come.
Your Daily Blend of Entertainment News
Mason Gooding, the breakout star of the hit horror film ‘Scream’, has been making waves with his hilarious and charismatic personality. In a recent interview, the actor shared his thoughts on how he would like to meet his demise in a horror movie, and it’s both hilarious and endearing.
“I’ve earned it at this point,” Gooding quipped with a playful smile. “I want to go out in a blaze of glory, screaming my head off and giving my best ‘heart eyes’ to the camera. It would be the perfect combination of terror and comedy, don’t you think?”
The actor went on to explain that he has always been a fan of horror movies and loves the adrenaline rush that comes with watching them. “I think it would be a fitting end for me to go out in a horror movie, surrounded by all the classic tropes and cliches. Plus, it would give me a chance to show off my scream queen skills,” he added with a wink.
Fans of Gooding can’t help but imagine the actor in a horror movie, giving his all in a dramatic and over-the-top death scene. Whether he meets his end at the hands of a masked killer or a supernatural entity, one thing is for sure – it would be a memorable and entertaining moment for audiences.
As for now, fans can catch Mason Gooding in the highly anticipated ‘Scream’ sequel, where he is sure to bring his trademark charm and wit to the screen. And who knows, maybe his dream of dying in a horror movie will come true sooner than he thinks.

The Golden State Warriors battled their way to a hard-fought 116-109 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. It was a gritty performance, capped off by Gary Payton II’s electrifying fourth-quarter dunk over Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein, which ignited both the team and the Chase Center crowd.
“I haven’t been huntin’ it. But, I know I haven’t been up there in a while… That was just a good exclamation point to cap off how we played tonight.”
Steph Curry, who knocked down several deep threes to finish off a 21-point night, spoke about how big Payton’s moment was for the team.
“You just wanna be able to have a stamp on a game like that, and the crowd was going crazy. The whole bench was up… not to overemphasize one play but it’s huge. It was a microcosm of our whole night.”
The Warriors have now won three out of their last four games, including two straight to climb back above .500. They’ll look to keep this momentum rolling on Friday when they face the Phoenix Suns.
For more on this and other news around the NBA, here is our latest news round-up for Thursday, January 30th:
“They hyped me up,” Looney said of the crowd. “I almost talked s— when I got the block. I don’t ever do that. It’s always awesome when the crowd is right behind you. When they’re showing you love. I’ve got my own little chant, so I know it’s for me. They show appreciation for when I’m doing all the small stuff. I ain’t doing all the crazy dunks and stuff like that. But they show me love for rebounding and doing what I do.”
LaVine is viewed by some within the organization as the safer option. At 29, he’s five and a half years younger and some $6 million cheaper than Butler this season, though his contract extends longer and he’s had some recent health concerns. There are risks all over the board.
But there is some understanding and alignment from all levels of the Warriors organization that they lack a true second scorer next to Curry, and LaVine’s explosive three-level scoring ability would fill the roster’s largest void. He’s averaging 24 points per game this season on 51 percent overall and 44.6 percent from 3.
“I don’t know what to do with Shai. I asked [Thunder coach] Mark [Daigneault] at one point to just leave him on the bench for a couple more minutes. He didn’t comply,” Kerr told reporters after Golden State’s 116-109 win at Chase Center. “I think Shai came back in with like 10 minutes left in the fourth, and I looked down at Mark like, ‘You can’t give him two more minutes? That would be really helpful for us.’ And he just laughed.
“It’s pick your poison with him. The good thing for us down the stretch is we had the lead, so we didn’t mind giving up the 2s. We just didn’t want to blitz or send a double-team at him and risk giving up open 3s. But it’s easier to do that when you have the lead, and that’s what that third quarter allowed us to get back in the game, and we didn’t have to start scrambling on Shai.”
After tonight’s big win over the Thunder, the Warriors splashed Steve Kerr with ice water in the locker room to celebrate.
STEPH CURRY: “We need some feel-good energy around here. You can’t forget to celebrate the small wins no matter what the standards have been around here.” pic.twitter.com/a6rHsmR4cu
“There’s probably a tendency in those situations where he’s just humming [to get caught watching Gilgeous-Alexander].” Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said. “But we also have an identity as a team. We have a bunch of guys that have confidence. We have to be that team regardless of context. Whether he’s having an off night, which doesn’t happen often, or whether he’s having a night like tonight.”
With the Thunder struggling to generate offense from others, Daigneault adjusted his rotation in the fourth quarter to cut his superstar’s rest short. Gilgeous-Alexander checked back in with the score tied and 9:55 remaining, about three minutes earlier than usual.
The Atlanta Hawks will be without one of their standout players for the rest of the season.
Forward Jalen Johnson will have surgery on a left shoulder injury he suffered in last Thursday’s 122-119 loss to the Toronto Raptors, the team announced today. Johnson was injured when he fouled Scottie Barnes in the second quarter. He left the court immediately and did not return to that game and was battling right shoulder inflammation entering the game vs. Toronto.
Johnson, in his fourth NBA season, was enjoying a career-best campaign with career highs in scoring (18.9 ppg), rebounding (10 rpg) and assists (5 apg) while also contributing 1.6 steals per game and shooting 50% overall and 31.2% on 3-pointers.
USA Basketball announced some of the organization’s 2024 awards on Wednesday, naming Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry the 5-on-5 Male Athlete of the Year. Curry, of course, led Team USA to a Gold Medal victory at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. In Team USA’s 6-0 run, Curry averaged a team-best 14.8 points per game on wildly-efficient .500/.478/1.000 shooting splits.
In last night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Gary Payton II delivered a highlight-reel dunk that sealed the Golden State Warriors’ victory. The high-flying play left fans and teammates in awe, with head coach Steve Kerr describing it as an “exclamation point” on the team’s performance.
Payton II, known for his athleticism and defensive prowess, showcased his offensive skills with the thunderous dunk that brought the crowd to its feet. The play not only energized his teammates but also added to his growing reputation as a key contributor for the Warriors.
The win against the Thunder was another solid performance for the Warriors, who continue to dominate the competition in the NBA. With players like Payton II stepping up and making game-changing plays, the team looks poised for success as they push towards the playoffs.
Stay tuned for more thrilling moments and exciting victories from the Golden State Warriors as they strive for greatness this season. Gary Payton II’s dunk was just a taste of what this talented team has to offer. #WarriorsNews #GaryPaytonII #DubNation #NBAWinningStreak
