Jey Uso missed the opportunity to become World Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his WWE career when he lost to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event last week. Now, he wants to win the Royal Rumble this weekend and get a guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania 41.
The Yeet Master will have to overcome some of the top stars in the business like Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, the legendary John Cena, and Roman Reigns.
The OTC will look to win the Rumble and reclaim his title at ‘Mania and is a frontrunner to win the match. During the Rumble match, it’s always every man for himself and hence, Roman could try to eliminate Jey Uso. The latter could take it personally and their feud could re-ignite, leading to Jey turning on Roman and eliminating him.
However, it is safe to say here that even though this would create a new angle on The Road to WrestleMania, WWE Creative will most likely not go down that road, given that Jey Uso has done a great job as a face and has become a fan favorite. It would be safer to say that if anyone had a heel turn, that would be Roman Reigns.

Still, the stakes are higher than ever for the RAW Superstar, who has his sights set on becoming world champion for the first time in his career, as he noted during an interview with Cheap Heat.
“Yeah, man, it just puts a stamp on you. If you’re a wrestler, you want to hold a damn WWE Championship one time, a World Heavyweight Championship one time. I want to hold that s**t. I ain’t ever thought about being a champion like that until I got the IC Title man, until ‘24 popped off the way it did, it built my confidence. Sinner, 23, still won eight titles in 2024 and is currently on a 20-match winning streak that began late last season.
And his Aussie coach Darren Cahill said: “Nobody’s bulletproof. I think we all have moments when it gets to you a little bit. I think to a large extent, he finds playing tennis matches to be his safe place.
“That’s where he can go and do his thing and feel like this is what he knows, this is what he understands, what is what he’s good at. It becomes a home for him to step on to the court and play tennis.
“There’s been a lot of pressure around him for the last nine months now. He deals with it as well as anybody that I’ve ever seen deal with pressure. His conscience is clear.”

Rain, bitter cold and the possibility of snow is in the forecast for St. Johns County
Did you know that St. Augustine once held the record for greatest amount of snowfall to fall in the Sunshine State?
On Feb. 2, 1951, America’s oldest city lay buried in two inches of snow. The rare and unusual weather event provided residents and visiting snowbirds the opportunity to experience snowball fights and sledding in palm fronds and washtubs.
According to the St. Augustine Historical Society, as city officials built snowmen, Stuart Bridle, a transplant from Illinois who owned a real sled, shared the sled with those who gathered on Fort Hill, making him the most popular kid in town.
As tourists from North and Central Florida flocked in, the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune published stories about the snow in St. Augustine, which had melted by the next day. Three years later, Santa Rosa County received four inches of snow, bumping St. Augustine out of the record book.
According to the latest weather reports Friday, there is a chance, albeit slight, of the return of the rare weather event.
A winter storm is predicted to impact the Interstate 10 corridor in Texas and travel east to Florida early next week.
According to Ben Nelson, senior meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, Monday’s low-pressure front over the Gulf of Mexico will travel across Florida’s peninsula and across the southeastern seaboard early Wednesday, bringing winter weather to the Interstate 95 corridor in Georgia and the Carolinas.

“An Arctic cold front will push across our area on Sunday evening, with heavy rainfall and a risk of strong thunderstorms overnight Saturday through Sunday afternoon,” he told the St. Augustine Record in an email. “Slow moving, heavy downpours late Saturday and Sunday could drop 1-2 inches of rainfall, most of which could result in a marginal flood risk for urban areas such as downtown St. Augustine.”
Nelson said that on a more positive note, local temperatures will warm into the 60s and 70s by Saturday before Sunday’s arctic air plunges St. Augustine into the 30s by Monday morning’s sunrise. “Stiff” northwesterly winds (15-25 mph) will cause wind chills of 20 degrees in some areas by early Monday morning.

Monday’s afternoon 40-degree temps will be accompanied by “breezy” wind chills keeping the feel-like temps in the 30s. Clouds will increase on Monday evening. Rain will spread through St. Augustine Tuesday afternoon and evening, “with highs struggling to climb into the 40s.”
“Frozen precipitation (snow, sleet, or freezing rain) is more likely to occur over southeast Georgia and along the Interstate 10 corridor in north Florida, but there are very low probabilities — less than 10%, or less than a 1-in-10 chance — for light snowfall in St. Johns County on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning,” Nelson said.

Nelson said that there’s a 10% chance, for freezing rain and sleet on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
“Probabilities for accumulating snowfall of at least one-tenth of an inch increase to 20% (1-in-5 chance for locations all along the Interstate 10 corridor in north Florida), while probabilities for measurable (greater than 0.01 inch) sleet and freezing rain increase to nearly 50% along the I-10 corridor,” Nelson said.

Nelson underscored that while the significant weather probabilities are days away, travel may be impacted, and power outages may occur in areas north and west of St. Johns County on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
“There is still uncertainty as to where the freezing line sets up during this event, so we urge residents in St. Johns County to monitor forecasts through the weekend and early next week, and to prepare for another week of abnormally cold weather.”
The storm will shift offshore over the Atlantic by Wednesday afternoon.

We are going to be dangerously cold for most of this week. The National Weather Service has a cold weather advisory until 10AM Wednesday. Wind chills are going to dip down into near 10 to 15 for the early morning hours. We have a First Alert Weather Day through Thursday morning for cold temps and the chance of snow for Tuesday afternoon into the night.

wis(wis) Our cold air is in place as high pressure to our northwest will bring in a northeast flow and arctic air spills into the Carolinas. Dalton Knecht Discusses Possibility Of Making Rising Stars Game
Los Angeles Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht was looking like one of the steals of the 2024 draft to begin the year, shooting the ball at a high level.
As is the case with most rookies though, Knecht has struggled in recent weeks, perhaps hitting a bit of a rookie wall. As he works his way through this slump, one thing that is clear is that Knecht has not lost confidence in himself.
“Just keep it the same,” Knecht said of his mindset. “Me and my dad always said, ‘You walk in the gym, you know you’re the best shooter.’ So that’s just my mindset. I’m gonna walk in there, know I’m the best shooter, and then make or miss, next shot’s always going in.”
With the All-Star break just around the corner, Knecht will certainly be in the mix to be selected for the Rising Stars game. And this year, the winner of that game will actually get to play in the NBA All-Star Game due to its new format.
Knecht is the exact type of player that could thrive on a stage like that, but he told us he has not thought about it… yet.
“Nah, I haven’t really though about it. I’m pretty sure now I will think about it now. I’m not sure, I’ll think about it next time,” Knecht said with a smile.
Knecht isn’t exactly a shoe-in to be chosen just yet, but he is in the top 10 when it comes to rookie scoring so a couple more big games could have him on the radar.
Still though, his focus is on trying to do things to help the Lakers win games.
“Staying with a positive mindset, always going out there and giving my best, shooting the ball, playing defense, grabbing rebounds and stuff like that. So, just making sure do those little things.”
Knecht is shooting just 17.7% from 3-point range in his last 18 games and the Laker offense has struggled as a result. There’s no doubt that he’s putting in the work though, so the tide should be turning for Knecht real soon.
Lakers guard Gabe Vincent never loses confidence in jump shot
Gabe Vincent has gone through similar ups and downs as Dalton Knecht during his time with the Lakers. They share a similar mindset though in never losing their confidence.
“I think there’s a lot of noise around this game. I think there’s a lot of noise around this organization within this league. But I don’t think there’s anything I’ve done more in my life than shoot a basketball. So that’s gonna be the last thing I lose confidence on,” Vincent said.
“I’ve taken thousands and thousands of shots over the course of my career and I know I’m a good shooter. I know I’m capable of shooting the ball, I’ve made big shots in big games. I’ve missed shots too, that’s how the game goes. But the confidence itself never really wavers.”
