OK for a budget unit, but some deal killers for me
The unit is fine for what it is. It's decently responsive and easy enough to use. I had two main issues that were going to be deal killers and had me return it.First, to get screen mirroring to work on Android, you need to download a special APK to your phone. A quick scan from virus total showed a number of hits for spyware or worse. Other Android head units I've used (even very cheap ones) didn't require anything special on my phone and just working with Android Auto. Not sure if it's a true hit for malware, but I'm not going to risk it.Next is the slow USB charging. It has two USB A ports cabled from the back. They are both slow charging. And when I say slow, I mean it was going to take 5 hours to charge my phone all the way from it's current 70% charged. The problem here isn't that it would take a long time to charge it's that if I'm using NAV, streaming music and whatever else on my phone using Android Auto, it wouldn't be enough power to keep the phone at it's current charge, so it would keep losing charge as long as you are connected and doing anything on the phone.Also had very bad wifi and bluetooth range.If you aren't planning on using Android Auto or Carplay and just want this thing to play local media or use the radio it might be a good choice as it certainly is cheap and looks like it could do that reasonably well. I didn't get far enough to test that stuff out, but I could see it being useful that way.
