Amy Schumer will star in bizarre Netflixcomedy movieKinda Pregnant, which finds her faking a pregnancy after feeling jealous of her best friend, only to fall in love while she’s knee deep in the whole charade.
This is the latest in Schumer’s offbeat comedy roles, which have included 2015’s Trainwreck where she plays a young magazine writer who doesn’t believe that marriage or relationships hold any value, enter Bill Hader‘s character Dr Aaron Conners. I Feel Pretty saw her play an insecure woman whose injury from a nasty fall has an interesting side effect – she now finally believes she is beautiful, and makes all life decisions based on that confidence.
We’re interested to see what kind of comedic spin Amy puts on being “kinda pregnant”. Here’s everything else so far about the movie.
Kinda Pregnant plot
According to IMDB’s synopsis, Kinda Pregnant “follows Lainy, who, being jealous of her best friend’s pregnancy, begins to wear a false pregnant belly – and accidentally gets to meet the man of her dreams”.

Kinda Pregnant release date
The film will drop on Netflix on 5 February.
Kinda Pregnant trailer
As well as a full-length trailer, Netflix also recently dropped a sneak peek at a key scene from Kinda Pregnant. Before she begins the fake pregnancy, Amy’s character, Lainy, is told by her best friend that she’s pregnant, and it’s safe to say she does not react well.
Amy Schumer has always been known for her comedic antics and unfiltered sense of humor, but her latest project takes things to a whole new level. In her new Netflix show, “Kinda Pregnant,” Schumer plays a woman who fakes a pregnancy for the ultimate prank.
The show follows Schumer’s character as she pretends to be pregnant, fooling her friends, family, and even her own husband. As the pregnancy progresses, the lies and deception become more elaborate, leading to hilarious and outrageous situations.
But things take a unexpected turn when Schumer’s character starts to actually develop symptoms of pregnancy, throwing her carefully constructed ruse into chaos. As she navigates the ups and downs of her fake pregnancy, Schumer’s character must confront the consequences of her actions and decide whether the truth is worth risking everything she has built.
“Kinda Pregnant” is a wild and wacky ride that pushes the boundaries of comedy and explores the lengths people will go to for a laugh. With Schumer at the helm, viewers can expect plenty of laughs, surprises, and heartwarming moments along the way.
So buckle up and get ready for a wild ride with Amy Schumer in “Kinda Pregnant,” streaming now on Netflix.
Country star Lauren Alaina is sharing a sneak peek at her growing baby bump.
On Tuesday, January 28, Alaina shared a “get ready with me throwback” with her fans. “Get ready with me and help me pray about hiding my 20 week pregnancy,” Alaina said to the camera.
The video was filmed two weeks before she shared the news of her pregnancy with the public.
Alaina confirmed the news of her pregnancy in an interview with People after hinting about it in her newest music video, Those Kind of Women.
“Those Kind of Women is all about the women who made me who I am and raised me and when I recorded this song, I was not pregnant,” she explained. “I was not planning on getting pregnant, that was a nice little surprise.”
Courtesy of Lauren Alaina/Instagram Nearly six months after the death of her father, country music star Lauren Alaina is sharing big news. On Wednesday, January 22, Alaina revealed she is expecting her first child with her husband Cam Arnold, whom she married in February 2024. In a statement shared with People, Alaina confirmed the news […]
This is Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold’s first child. The pair have been married since February 2024.
Alaina said there were a lot of other songs she recorded that she “thought they would release first.” But after learning she was pregnant, Alaina called it “a little God nod” to release Those Kind of Women first “to celebrate the pregnancy.”
The singer said she’s always been very close with her mom, calling her “a wonderful mother,” but said sharing this “season of life” with her “has made us even closer.”
“It’s been very stressful hiding it,” Alaina said of being five months pregnant at the time. “But it’s been so fun because it’s like our own little family secret. I live a life where everything’s in the public eye, but this little baby’s my best kept secret to date.”
Alaina then opened up about how hard of a year 2024 was for her and her family after “losing my dad in July.”
She continued, “We weren’t even trying to get pregnant. I truly believe my dad got up there in heaven and said, ‘Somehow we got to get a baby involved.’”
Lauren Alaina is married to Cameron Arnold after four years together. The American Idol runner-up, 29, and Arnold tied the knot at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday, February 4. The duo exchanged vows in front of 450 guests, including Jason and Brittany Aldean, Hardy and Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney. “Here’s […]
“My baby is still such a light in my life, a light in the midst of sadness and what felt like a lot of darkness,” Alaina explained. “So very much looking forward to Baby Arnold getting here.”

In a separate video, Alaina also revealed the sex of her unborn baby.
Enlisting the help of their fur babies, Alaina and Arnold revealed they are expecting a baby girl.
“Your dad sent you a built in best friend,” a commenter wrote.
Country singer Lauren Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold have exciting news to share with their fans – they are expecting a baby! The couple, who tied the knot in November 2020, took to social media to announce the gender of their little bundle of joy.
In a post titled “Pregnant Lauren Alaina and Husband Cam Arnold Reveal Baby’s Sex,” the couple shared a sweet photo of themselves holding pink and blue balloons. Alongside the photo, Lauren wrote, “We are overjoyed to announce that we are expecting a baby girl! We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome our little princess into the world.”
Fans flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages and well-wishes for the happy couple. It’s clear that Lauren and Cam are already so in love with their baby girl, and they can’t wait to start this new chapter of their lives together.
We wish Lauren and Cam all the best as they prepare to welcome their little girl into the world. Congratulations to the soon-to-be parents! #BabyGirl #LaurenAlaina #CamArnold #PregnancyNews
Liza counted the months until Donald Trump would be president. And she counted the months until her baby was due.
The timing filled her with dread. She’d learned from a friend that Trump planned to end birthright citizenship, right around the time she’d learned she was pregnant.
Last week, the moment she feared came even faster than she expected.
“I was shocked that it happened so quickly. … My world fell apart,” says Liza, a grad student in Texas who’s 24 weeks pregnant. Trump’s executive order banning birthright citizenship, she says, has thrust her family’s life into uncertainty.
Now the mass communications student from Russia is part of a group of pregnant moms – and advocacy organizations who represent them – who are fighting back.
“We have to do it for us, for our baby, and for all the other people like us,”she told CNN.
Advocates argue the mothers’ voices particularly convey the urgency and significance of this moment.
“The executive order is already creating chaos in immigrant communities,” says Conchita Cruz, executive director of the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP). The organization is also a plaintiff in the case, and Cruz says its members include numerous families who would be impacted by the ban.
CNN has reached out the Justice Department for comment on the lawsuit. In response to another federal lawsuit over the order filed in Seattle, administration officials have argued that the 14th Amendment only grants birthright citizenship “to those persons born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction — and thus excludes children of noncitizens here illegally as well as children of temporary visaholders.”
In their lawsuit filed in federal court in Maryland, Liza and other plaintiffs argue that the government’s interpretation “violates long-settled law” and unjustly denies citizenship to US-born children who “are plainly ‘subject to the jurisdiction’ of the United States.”
Losing birthright citizenship wouldn’t be merely a bureaucratic matter, according to Liza, who asked to be identified only by her first name because she fears she could face persecution for speaking out. On top of the stress of pregnancy, she says, she now finds herself worrying that her baby won’t be able to get health care or go to school, or that the child could even face deportation someday. Getting a birth certificate from the Russian Embassy wouldn’t be an option, she says, as her husband is seeking asylum and they fear persecution from the Russian government.
“My baby will be stateless,” she says.
Liza says she fears returning to a country she fled in 2023 – and now fears for the future of her unborn child in a country that feels more unwelcoming by the day.
“It looks like my baby will have less rights than I have,” she says. “You feel unwelcome in your own country. You come here for opportunities. You come here to study, to change the world. … And then it’s all for nothing. They clearly tell you that they do not want you here.”
She thought she’d found safety and stability in the US. Now nothing seems certain
Mónica, a doctor from Venezuela who’s living in South Carolina, thought she and her husband had finally found stability in the United States six years after arriving.
“We’ve been trying to do everything the right way,” she says. “We’ve been working, we have been paying taxes and we actually were able to buy our own home.”
The moment seemed right to have a child, Mónica told reporters last week.
“Time was passing, and this was something that was important to us. And we had reached a point of stability in this country,” she said.
And now at 12 weeks pregnant, she says she should be focusing on her baby’s health.
But lately, she says her thoughts have been consumed by other worries.
“Instead, my husband and I are stressed, we’re anxious and we’re depressed about the reality that my child may not be able to become a US citizen,” says Mónica, who asked to be identified by a pseudonym to protect her safety.
Further complicating matters, it isn’t clear whether Trump’s executive order applies to her. Monica has Temporary Protected Status, which allows her to legally work in the US, and she’s applying for asylum. If she wins her case, she would eventually become a legal permanent resident of the US. But there’s no telling how long that process will take, she says.
“I’ve been waiting for many years, and I might be waiting for another 10 years before they even call me for an interview, it seems,” she says.
In the meantime, she says, she also fears her child will be stateless. The Venezuelan Embassy in the US has been closed for years.
“I don’t know what will happen. … and I don’t understand how it is that my child could be treated differently than other children,” she says. “It should be a right for him to be born in the United States and get US citizenship.”
Barbara was a lawyer in Cuba, and she’s always liked the idea of fighting injustice. Now, about two years after arriving in the US, she’s working as a school custodian in Kentucky while seeking asylum in the US. And she’s about four months pregnant. Being listed among the impacted ASAP members in a legal filing, she says, has given her strength.
“Everything that’s in my hands, I’m going to do,” she says. “I want to support this cause because really it’s the children who are being harmed by this, it’s the pregnant women who are going to receive this stress, it’s the families of so many immigrants that are going to be affected.”
Barbara asked to be identified only by her first name to protect her family’s safety. The stress of handling pregnancy while also worrying about whether the baby girl she’ll have this summer will be a US citizen is overwhelming, she says.
“After they announced it, I couldn’t sleep. It’s a double concern,” she says. “I feel like they can suddenly steal my baby’s future.”
It’s a sharp contrast to the supportive environment that Barbara says she, her husband and her 4-year-old daughter have found in Kentucky.
“There’s a huge Hispanic community,” she says, including many Cubans. And Barbara says they feel at home.
“My dream is to settle permanently in this country,” she says, “and with God’s blessing, to have our family and a peaceful life.”
In the days since the lawsuit was filed, Liza says she’s found herself mulling many questions.
Chief among them: “How do these kids hurt Trump?”
She says it’s difficult to understand why the US president would target her unborn child and so many others.
“It’s not making anyone’s life better — not mine, not my family’s, not the people who voted for Trump,” she says. “I would just like people to understand that. Hurting someone does not make your life better.”
A better life is what Liza says she dreams of for her own child.
“The baby will be bilingual. I think that’s a big thing. There will be so many opportunities for the baby. And in the US…if you work hard, you will get what you deserve,” she says.
The future for a child in this country, she says, is still bright.
Despite all the uncertainty of this moment, Liza says that’s one thing she knows.
CNN’s Tierney Sneed and Hannah Rabinowitz contributed to this report.
In a recent development, a group of pregnant mothers have decided to take legal action against the Trump administration over the birthright citizenship executive order. The controversial order, which seeks to end automatic citizenship for children born on U.S. soil to non-citizen parents, has sparked outrage and concern among immigrant communities.
These pregnant mothers argue that the executive order is not only discriminatory but also goes against the principles of the Constitution. They believe that every child born in the United States should have the right to citizenship, regardless of their parents’ immigration status.
Furthermore, these mothers are concerned about the impact that this order will have on their children’s future. By denying them citizenship, they fear that their children will be deprived of essential rights and opportunities that come with being a U.S. citizen.
The lawsuit aims to challenge the legality of the executive order and protect the rights of children born to non-citizen parents in the United States. These mothers are determined to fight for their children’s right to citizenship and ensure that they are not unfairly targeted by discriminatory policies.
As this legal battle unfolds, it is clear that these pregnant mothers are willing to stand up and fight for the rights of their children. Their courage and determination serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of upholding the values of equality and justice for all.

To the chagrin of basically everyone outside Philadelphia and Kansas City, the Chiefs and Eagles will face one another in Super Bowl LIX, two years after their matchup in Super Bowl LVII.
That game is famous for being the “Kelce Bowl,” the first matchup between two brothers on the field (the famous Super Bowl XLVII saw the Harbaugh brothers face each other as head coaches), but a lot more happened in that game. Whether it’s burned into your memory because of the pain of the defeat or you’ve chosen to block it out of your memory entirely, here’s a short recap of some of the iconic moments from that fateful day …
This image lives on in internet lore, so I’m sure you’ve already seen it. Anthem singer and 10-time Grammy Award winner Chris Stapleton brought Sirianni to tears during his rendition of the national anthem.
Honestly, Nick, same. Stapleton rocks.
Turf issues
Before the Super Bowl, outlets like ESPN published stories praising the two years of work that went into growing and maintaining the Super Bowl field. Sorry to those groundskeepers, but it was a total failure. Players were sliding around and falling on the surface.
“I’m not going to lie: It was the worst field I’ve ever played on,” former Eagles edge rusher Haason Reddicksaid after the game. “… It was very disappointing. It’s the NFL. You would think it would be better so we could get some better play, but it is what it is. I don’t know. Maybe the league will look at it and tell Arizona they got to step their stuff up.”
Andy Reid and the Chiefs had called out the surface at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., after their Week 1 matchup against the Cardinals that season, but they didn’t see significant improvements.
“It was a little loose. That’s what happens sometimes when you resod,” Reid told the Associated Press. “It’s part of the [Harrison] Butker injury and the [Trent] McDuffie injury, and that’s unfortunate. The turf picked up, and I would tell you that did have something to do with it. If it didn’t, I’d tell you that, too. It’s not an excuse by any means. But you all see it when you watch the tape.”
Rihanna finally awakened after years of silence on the music front, and delivered a halftime show for the ages. She was always going to — her catalog is full of hits — but what really stole the show was an accidental pregnancy announcement, thanks to an outfit that didn’t fit the way she’d intended.
“Here’s the thing — I do what I have to do, right?” she toldAccess Hollywood in 2023. “My jumper couldn’t zip up. No one knew I was pregnant — I just told my stylist, ‘Make sure it’s stretchy.’ The zip, it just stopped right there, so it had to be what it had to be!”
The newest Kelce
Rihanna wasn’t the only one pregnant at the Super Bowl. Kylie Kelce was 38 weeks pregnant with her and Jason’s third daughter, Bennett, at the time, and brought two of her doctors with her to the game just in case of a Super Bowl Baby.
“If it happens during the Super Bowl, I’d like to think my wife would not tell me,” Jason Kelcesaid. “Find a way to hold off the actual delivery until after the game. She’ll have her O.B. with her. Her parents are coming along on the trip. She won’t be on her own. But I think if it happens during the game … just don’t even put that in my head, please. … If she has a baby in the stadium, it’s officially scripted.”
It didn’t ultimately end up happening. Bummer, I wonder if Bennett would have been the first ever.
The penalty
Everyone was sick after seeing James Bradberry get called for a defensive holding penalty on JuJu Smith-Schuster during Kansas City’s final drive, allowing the Chiefs to run out the clock and win the game.
Carl Cheffers, the lead referee in the game, didn’t see the call as controversial, saying that it was “a clear case of a jersey grab that caused restriction.”
“The receiver went to the inside and he was attempting to release to the outside. The defender grabbed the jersey with his right hand and restricted him from releasing to the outside. So, therefore, we called defensive holding,” Cheffers said following the game.
Many others watching the game disagreed — including Fox broadcaster Greg Olsen and NBA star LeBron James.
“I don’t know,” Olsen said during the game. “On this stage, I think you let them play. I don’t love that call.”
Postgame, Bradberry accepted the decision.
“I pulled a jersey. They called holding,” Bradberry told reporters. “I was hoping they would let it ride, but it was holding.”
Smith-Schuster took a shot at Bradberry days later, posting a card in honor of Valentine’s Day with Bradberry’s face reading, “I’ll hold you when it matters.” The Eagles jumped to Bradberry’s defense — and so did some other players, like Tyreek Hill and Micah Parsons.
Many of those tweets have since been deleted, but here’s a recap of the feud.
In a shocking turn of events, Rihanna has announced her pregnancy just days before the highly anticipated Super Bowl matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. But that’s not the only surprising news coming out of this game – Travis Kelce, star tight end for the Chiefs, has also revealed that he and his wife are expecting their first child.
As fans gear up for the big game, the internet is buzzing with viral stories from the last time these two teams faced off in the Super Bowl. From the infamous wardrobe malfunction during Rihanna’s halftime performance to the epic comeback led by Kelce in the fourth quarter, there’s no shortage of drama and excitement surrounding this rematch.
Will history repeat itself on the field, or will we see a new chapter written in Super Bowl history? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – this game is sure to be one for the books. Stay tuned for all the latest updates and highlights from this epic showdown.

Saturday Night Live is back to basics for Season 50’s historic run on NBC, with plenty of new and returning guest hosts heading to the 2025 TV schedule (even if we don’t know all of them just yet). As its an important anniversary year, with several new specials offering fans behind-the-scenes details about “More Cowbell” and other classic moments, a variety of former writers have shared stories behind their first sketches that made it to air, and J.B. Smoove’s is understandably a doozy.
Beloved comedy actors like Sarah Silverman, Kevin Nealon and Jillian Bell — as well as creatives such as David Mandel, Michael Schur and Robert Smigel — shared their heavenly and hellish tales of pitching sketches to other SNL talents to Vanity Fair, with Curb Your Enthusiasm fan-favorite J.B. Smoove also lending his signature off-the-cuff perspective to the conversation.
Before breaking out some of his more bonkers ideas that both made it and didn’t, Smoove reflected on why he wasn’t necessarily the best bet as an SNL writer so soon after joining the show, explaining:
I didn’t get a lot of things on air, partly because I was still learning how to be a writer on that speed. That speed is different than writing a movie or writing a TV show at your leisure. This is live TV. They needed that shit yesterday.
Even if J.B. Smoove wasn’t automatically equipped for turning fast-paced ideating into written sketches, he eventually found his footing, writing for SNL from Seasons 29-31, followed by a guest-writing spot in Season 32. And despite such a short stint, he earned a reputation for his pitch delivery, which he also talked about when pinpointing his first idea that was produced in full for an episode. As he put it:
They used to call me the king of the pitch, because I would pitch as if I was doing stand-up. I think the first one that even made it was ‘Butt Pregnant.’ That was with Kristen Wiig, and it was her first sketch too. And I got a big laugh in the room. Then one of the writers, when they went around to their turn to pitch their idea, they said, ‘My idea is I wanna help JB write “Butt Pregnant.”‘
I love that one of the other writers was apparently so confident in “Butt Pregnant” that they bypassed whatever ideas they might have had in order to back Smoove’s plan. That, or maybe the writer’s own ideas were ten times worse, like “Boob Pregnant” or “Lower Calf Pregnant.”
JB Smoove also talked about some of the more random and oddball ideas he had that inevitiably did not make it all the way beyond the pitch stage and into the show. Check out those comments below, which reference an icky Johnny Knoxville sketch that could have likely been an FXX animated comedy in alternate reality. In his words:
I pitched lots of things that never got on. A guy who used to work in the bank and now he owns a deli and he can’t stop licking his finger to put cheese on bread, like how you count money. I pitched ‘Urine Detective’ for Johnny Knoxville. I pitched Tom Brady a sketch about the first player in the NFL to slap another player on the butt after a good play. I really had to figure out how I was gonna navigate through this new challenge for myself.
At some point, I can only hope that NBC throws money at a new comedy show that brings some of the wildest unproduced SNL sketches to life outside of the live format. I need to see how that finger-licking deli guy finally realizes what he’s doing is gross.
Saturday Night Live will likely return with new episodes both before and after NBC airs the new documentary SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday, February 16, which can be streamed after the fact with a Peacock subscription.
I’m excited to share my latest idea with you all – I want to help JB write “Butt Pregnant”!
JB is a talented writer who has been working on a new project called “Butt Pregnant”, and I believe that with my skills and creativity, I can help bring this concept to life in a unique and engaging way.
I am passionate about collaborating with others to create something truly special, and I know that together, JB and I can make “Butt Pregnant” a project that will captivate and inspire audiences everywhere.
Stay tuned for updates on our progress, and get ready to experience the magic of “Butt Pregnant” like never before! Let’s make this project a reality, one word at a time. #ButtPregnant #Collaboration #WritingCommunity

The widow of The Wanted’s Tom Parker, who died at age 33 in March 2022 following a diagnosis of stage four glioblastoma, is expecting a baby with her partner Will Lindsay, Kelsey confirmed to The Mirror.
The Mum’s the Word podcast host, 34 and her late husband shared two children: Aurelia, 5, and Bodhi, 4.
Kelsey told The Mirror that she and Tom had wanted to grow their family before his brain cancer diagnosis.
“Tom and I always said we wanted four — but life had other plans,” Kelsey said. “So yes, this is amazing but also bittersweet. The joys of finding out I’m pregnant and moving forward with my life, while thinking, ‘My life could have been so different.’ I’ve felt every emotion under the sun.”

“I’m still getting my head around it but I’m so excited,” she continued. “And I know I’m putting myself out there, telling people. I just want everyone to be as happy as I am.”
Kelsey now lives with Lindsay, 27. She shared her new romance on Instagram in September. In the photo, which she captioned with a single red heart, she wore a floral dress and heels, laughing as a man in a gray suit held her close. She did not identify her mystery man at the time.
“For me, I feel like everything’s meant to be,” she added about having another baby. “I’m just trying to find joy. I love my children — they’ve got me through the worst times. So I feel like I’ve been blessed with another.”
“If I dwelled on everything that’s happened, I wouldn’t be here. Tom was my soulmate. I’m still angry he’s gone,” she added. “But I can’t live in sadness. Tom wouldn’t want that.”
She opened up about Lindsay during a podcast episode in October, during which she confirmed he had met her children and they have met each other’s parents.
“He’s so lovely. I’m so happy,” Kelsey said at the time. “We met authentically, and that’s what I wanted.”
“I’ve been trying to find happiness for a little while now,” she added. “I’m always going to have that guilt. I guess that’s part of the grief process as well, is having the guilt that I’m here and I’ve met someone. But it’ll never take away the love that I had for Tom, and Will would never try to take that away from me either.”
Kelsey told The Mirror that her third pregnancy is a “happy accident” and the couple found out she was expecting on “the day after Will’s birthday.”
“I’m over the moon,” Lindsay, a tree surgeon, said. “This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. I couldn’t be happier and I know Kelsey is going to be an amazing mum, as she already is.”

Kelsey has shared the news to her children, revealing that Aurelia wants the baby “to be called ‘Parker’ if it’s a boy.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay has already taken to being a father. He told the outlet that he loves “having Aurelia and Bodhi in my life now.”
“We just bonded so quickly, I felt like everything just happened naturally,” he said. “I want to help as much as possible and be involved. I take Bodhi to football or to the park on the weekend, and we love that. Kelsey has two gorgeous kids and I’m so lucky they’re both in my life now. It’s all just been pretty natural fitting in — nothing has felt forced, or rushed.”
