  • Southampton are winless in their last 23 Premier League games against sides starting the day in the top four of the table (D8 L15), since a 1-0 win against Liverpool in January 2021. Saints have lost all four such games this season by an aggregate score of 12-4.

  • Since the start of last season, Anthony Elanga (8 assists) and Chris Wood (1) have combined for nine Premier League goals – it’s the most any pair of Nottingham Forest players have done so in the competition’s history.

“Wonder if, once Postecoglou and Moyes take their place on the touchline, they’ll share a grim, understanding look at each other about derbies,” says Kieran McKintosh. “Postecoglou having just come off worse from one, and Moyes just about to go into an even bigger one. Moyes in the dugout for the final derby at Goodison Park will make for some cracking nostalgia, though.”

I fully expect Tim Cahill and Andy Johnson to sign temporary deals, just for that game.

Before the game against Brighton, Manchester United will pay tribute to one of the most coruscating and charismatic strikers ever to walk the earth.

    Preamble

Hello and welcome to live coverage of Everton v Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park. Once upon a time these two clubs were part of England’s Big Five. Right now, even though Spurs are usually included among the Big Six, they and Everton are in the actual bottom six.

While there are mitigating circumstances, most notably Spurs’ grotesque injury list, this is not what either club had in mind. Everton are in another relegation battle; Spurs have redefined the concept of Spursiness by dropping to 15th place while also being arguably the most exciting team in the country.

Styles make fights, and Everton (goals for 15, against 26) and Spurs (F43, A32) could barely be more different. Let’s hope it makes for a cracker.

We’ll also have goal updates from the other games, Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest v Southampton. But Everton v Spurs will be our main focus, mainly because it’s the only match that is actually being televised in the UK.

    Kick off 2pm.

Welcome to our live coverage of the Everton v Tottenham match in the Premier League! Stay tuned as we bring you all the latest updates, goals, and highlights from this exciting clash between two top teams.

Both Everton and Tottenham are coming off strong performances in their previous matches, so we can expect a thrilling contest today. Will Everton continue their winning streak, or will Tottenham pull off an upset on the road?

Manchester United welcome a team from the South coast to Old Trafford for the second time in a week as the Red Devils host Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The hosts are on a high after a stirring comeback against Southampton on Thursday which saw them fight back from a goal down to clinch a 3-1 win thanks to an Amad Diallo hat-trick.

They’ll now look to close the five-point gap between them and their opponents today, with Brighton coming into this match off the back of a professional 0-2 away win at Ipswich.

Manchester United take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, Jan. 18, at Old Trafford, with kickoff set for 2 p.m. GMT local time. That makes it a 9 a.m. ET or 6 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, and a 1 a.m. AEDT kickoff in Australia in the early hours of Monday morning.

Below, we’ll outline the best live TV streaming services to use to watch the match as it happens, wherever you are in the world.

Sunday’s Man United vs. Brighton match will be broadcast on Peacock. You’ll need a Peacock Premium or Premium Plus account to catch the game live.

How to watch the Premier League 2024-25 season from anywhere with a VPN

If you find yourself unable to view EPL matches locally, you may need a different way to watch the games — that’s where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on game day by encrypting your traffic, and it’s also a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.

With a VPN, you’re able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the game. Most VPNs, like our Editors’ Choice, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.

Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in any country where VPNs are legal, including the US, UK and Canada, as long as you have a legitimate subscription to the service you’re streaming. You should be sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: Even where VPNs are legal, the streaming service may terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing correctly applied blackout restrictions.

ExpressVPN is our current best VPN pick for people who want a reliable and safe VPN, and it works on a variety of devices. It’s normally $13 a month, but if you sign up for an annual subscription for $100 you’ll get three months free and save 49%. That’s the equivalent of $6.67 a month.

Note that ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Can I livestream Man United vs. Brighton in the UK?

This early afternoon match has not been selected to be shown live by any UK broadcaster.

That also means that if you’re in the UK traveling for pleasure or for work, you’re unlikely to be able to watch the game like you normally would at home, thanks to geo-blocking.

There’s one option to get around this, however. By using a VPN, as explained above, you can set your location to a country where the match is being broadcast and go from there.

Livestream Man United vs. Brighton in Canada

If you want to stream this EPL game live in Canada, you’ll need to subscribe to Fubo Canada. The service has exclusive rights to every Premier League fixture once again this season.

    Fubo

Fubo is the go-to destination for Canadians looking to watch the EPL this season, with exclusive streaming rights to every match. It costs CA$30 a month, though you can save some cash by paying quarterly or annually.

Livestream Man United vs. Brighton in Australia

Football fans Down Under can watch EPL matches live on streaming service Optus Sport, which is showing every single Premier League fixture of the 2024-25 season live in Australia.

    Optus

With exclusive rights to stream all EPL matches live this season, as well as German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga games, streaming service Optus Sport is a particularly big draw for Aussie soccer fans.

If you’re already an Optus network customer, you can bag Optus Sport for a reduced price, with discounts bringing the price down to as low as AU$7 a month. If you’re not, a standalone monthly subscription to the service starts at AU$25.

Quick tips for streaming the Premier League using a VPN

    • With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — your experience and success when streaming EPL matches may vary.
    • If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
    • If you’re having trouble getting the game after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
    • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help, since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
    • And remember, browsers can often give away a location despite using a VPN, so be sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.

  • Manchester United vs Brighton LIVE: Premier League team news and line-ups as Joshua Zirkzee handed start

Manchester United host Brighton at Old Trafford in the Premier League today, with Ruben Amorim’s side looking to build on the midweek win over Southampton, having shown a “different” side to them against Liverpool and Arsenal.

United performed poorly for much of the match against the Saints, but a dramatic turnaround led by Amad Diallo gave them three points that some would consider undeserved, and Amorim is ready to experience more highs and lows from their “rollercoaster season”.

And the nature of the performance will likely have worried Amorim, particularly as they now welcome a Brighton side who have established themselves as tricky opponents.

Fabian Hurzeler’s side sit in ninth, five points above United, and though their hunt for European football has faltered in recent weeks, the Seagulls will be confident of taking a result home from Manchester.

Follow all the latest team news and updates from Old Trafford below:

Manchester United hopeful of sealing Viktor Gyokeres deal despite Arsenal interest

    12:30 , Miguel Delaney

Manchester United are hopeful of holding off competition for Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres to secure a deal in the summer.

Arsenal are understood to have raised the striker in discussions over a badly-needed forward signing for January, having brought forward plans from the summer after the ACL injury suffered by Gabriel Jesus.

Mikel Arteta this week admitted they are looking, and Gyokeres has been raised along with options such as Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Brighton’s Evan Ferguson. Arsenal have not seriously pursued PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani yet this window.

  • Manchester United vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Premier League preview, team news, stats & head-to-head

  • Manchester United have lost five of their last six Premier League games against Brighton (W1), including both meetings at Old Trafford in that run. Only against Man City (twice) have they lost three in a row at home in the competition.

  • Brighton have won seven of their 15 Premier League meetings with Manchester United – the Seagulls have the highest win rate against the Red Devils of any side in the competition’s history (47%).

  • None of the 15 Premier League meetings between Manchester United (8 wins) and Brighton (7) have been drawn – only Manchester United vs Wigan has been played more often without any draws in the competition’s history (16).

  • Each of Manchester United’s last 11 Premier League goals against Brighton have come in the second half of the match. They’ve not scored before half-time in any of their last eight meetings with the Seagulls, their joint-longest run without a first half goal against a side in the competition (also 8 vs Chelsea between 2013-2016).

  • This is the sixth time Brighton have faced Manchester United in the Premier League while above them in the league table, and the latest into a season they’ve done so. Having lost the first two such matches, the Seagulls have now won each of the last three.

  • Manchester United lost three of their four Sunday Premier League games under Erik ten Hag this season (D1) but have since lost just one of their seven following the Dutchman’s departure (W3 D3).

  • Brighton have a higher win rate (38.9%) and average more goals per game (1.6) on Sundays than they do any other day of the week on which they’ve played more than 10 games in the Premier League.

  • There has been at least four goals scored in all four of Brighton’s Premier League games on a Sunday this season (F8 A9). Their average of 4.3 goals-per-game in these games is the highest of any side on either Saturday or Sunday in the competition this term.

  • Having been involved in six goals in his first four Premier League appearances against Brighton (4 goals, 2 assists), Man Utd’s Bruno Fernandes hasn’t scored or assisted in any of his last six against the Seagulls.

  • Danny Welbeck and João Pedro scored Brighton’s goals in their 2-1 victory against Manchester United earlier this season. The only Seagulls player to score home and away against the Red Devils in the same Premier League campaign is Pascal Groß in 2018-19.

  • Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing draw against Southampton as they take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League this weekend.

    Team News:
Manchester United will be without the services of Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford due to injuries. However, they will welcome back Raphael Varane, who missed the last game due to illness. Brighton & Hove Albion will be without Tariq Lamptey and Danny Welbeck, who are both sidelined with injuries.

    Stats:
Manchester United have won 7 out of their last 10 Premier League matches, while Brighton & Hove Albion have won 3 and lost 5 in the same period. Manchester United have scored 23 goals in their last 10 matches, while Brighton have scored 12.

    Head-to-head:
In their last 5 meetings, Manchester United have won 3 matches, while Brighton & Hove Albion have won 1 and there has been 1 draw. Manchester United have scored 9 goals in those 5 matches, while Brighton have scored 5.

    Prediction:
Manchester United will be eager to get back to winning ways and will be looking to secure all 3 points against Brighton. With their attacking firepower and home advantage, they are likely to come out on top. However, Brighton have shown that they can be a tough team to break down and could pose a threat on the counter-attack. It could be a closely contested match, but Manchester United should emerge as the victors.

  • Everton 0-1 Aston Villa: David Moyes’ return ruined by Ollie Watkins winner in Premier League

Some 4,266 days since last taking charge of an Everton home match – a 2-0 victory over a side he would later go on to manage in West Ham – Moyes was back in the dugout at Goodison Park and witnessed the monumental job he has walked in to.

Moyes, 61, is the oldest manager currently in the top flight and he will need to use all those years of experience as he attempts to keep the Blues afloat come May.

Dyche managed to salvage survival on two occasions, but having won only three times this season Moyes faces a colossal task to ensure the club maintains its proud record of being ever-present in the Premier League.

Goals win games, and Everton have not claimed enough victories because of their struggles in putting the ball in the back of the net – they have scored just 15 times in 20 games this term, with only bottom side Southampton faring worse with 12.

Moyes said on Monday that Calvert-Lewin needs to get his scoring boots back on, but the striker has now gone 16 games without a goal, a run stretching back to September, and had plenty of chances to give his boss a winning return.

The first was flashed wide after he made a good run, but he showed signs of a player bereft of confidence when another opportunity fell to him inside the box, unable to sort his feet out quickly enough before stabbing a meek effort at goal.

His best opportunity came deep in added time when Jesper Lindstrom fed a pass to Calvert-Lewin in front of goal, but the forward scooped a first-time shot over the crossbar from eight yards out, much to Moyes’ and the crowd’s dismay.

Villa kept Everton largely at arm’s length after scoring, leaving the hosts with one win in their past 11 games and failing to score in nine of those.

Everton’s hopes of a successful return for manager David Moyes were dashed as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa in the Premier League. Ollie Watkins’ second-half goal was enough to secure all three points for the visitors and spoil Moyes’ homecoming.

Despite dominating possession for much of the game, Everton were unable to find a way past Villa’s resolute defense. The visitors, on the other hand, were clinical in front of goal, with Watkins pouncing on a defensive error to score the only goal of the match.

Moyes, who was making his first appearance at Goodison Park since returning to Everton for a second spell as manager, will be disappointed with the result. The Scot will now have to regroup and prepare his team for their next challenge as they look to climb up the Premier League table.

Villa, on the other hand, will be delighted with their performance and the three points earned on the road. The win sees them move up to fifth in the league table and continue their impressive start to the season.

Overall, it was a frustrating day for Everton and Moyes, but Villa will be celebrating a hard-fought victory as they continue to impress in the Premier League.

  • Leandro Trossard says Arsenal need to be ‘perfect’ to beat Liverpool to the Premier League title | Football News

Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has admitted his side will need to be perfect in their pursuit of the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners currently sit four points behind league leaders Liverpool who also have a game in hand. Last time out, Arsenal bounced back from a late set-back at Brighton where they were held in a 1-1 draw to beat their north London rivals Tottenham 2-0.

First-place Liverpool are also still yet to claim a league win since the turn of the year suffering successive draws against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest. However, Trossard believes that the league’s growing competitiveness means that Arsenal will need to remain at their best level to stay competing.

    Saturday 18th January 5:00pm

    Kick off 5:30pm

“You need to be perfect every season,” Trossard told Sky Sports.

“Over the last four or five seasons it’s been such a tight race. Everyone is competing, it’s not just the teams that are at the top of the table, everyone is getting better each season so it’s getting more competitive.

“You have to be at your [A] game every single matchday. It’s hard but we just need to keep believing and be ourselves then we can achieve something.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says the club remain ‘active’ in looking for potential players to come in and eluded to needing support in the frontline as they push for the Premier League title

Arsenal’s efforts to mount a title charge this season haven’t been helped by an ever-growing injury list in forward areas.

This week it was confirmed that Gabriel Jesus suffered an ACL injury and will join Bukayo Saka on the sidelines. Despite absences in attack, Trossard says he’s ready to fill in when called upon.

“The injuries are a big blow for us. We know what Bukayo [Saka] has shown for the club and Gabriel Jesus was on a good run, those injuries are bad luck. We hope we can be ready in the meantime. It’s up to us to be ready.

“We’ve had to twist some things because of the injuries so everyone gets their chance. Of course, I’m always happy [to fill in up front]. I’m always ready to play in whatever position on the pitch.”

A look at the best Premier League goals from Arsenal vs Aston Villa including screamers from Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Douglas Luiz and Ollie Watkins

Arsenal have retained a threat from set-pieces and standalone as the side who use corners most effectively. Their corner-taking prowess has led to some criticism from onlookers suggesting the Gunners are over-reliant on set pieces. For Trossard, Arsenal are more than just set-pieces.

“It’s a part of our game that we are really good at,” he told Sky Sports.

“We want to be the best at everything and that includes set-pieces. We have shown consistency over the last couple of years and it’s where you can decide games. It’s a big part of our game but it’s not the only part.

“We can also score from open play. I don’t think there’s been an overreliance on corners. The point of view from the outside will be like that because we have scored a lot but it’s not in our minds to say that we can only score from set pieces. It’s just an extra tool for us to win a game.

“I think everyone in the league would want this. We are really happy with this, obviously, we can score more but at the end of the day, you need to be happy when you have wins in the Premier League.”

Watch Arsenal vs Aston Villa, live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, from 5pm on Saturday.

Leandro Trossard, the Brighton winger, believes that Arsenal will have to be ‘perfect’ if they want to beat Liverpool to the Premier League title this season. Trossard, who has been in impressive form for Brighton this season, spoke to reporters about the upcoming title race between the two clubs.

He stated that Liverpool are a strong team with a lot of quality and experience, and that Arsenal will have to be at their very best in every game if they want to come out on top. Trossard emphasized the importance of consistency and focus, pointing out that even the smallest mistakes can be costly in such a competitive league.

Despite the challenges ahead, Trossard remains optimistic about Arsenal’s chances and believes that they have the talent and determination to challenge Liverpool for the title. He also praised the team’s manager and their style of play, saying that they have the ability to compete with the best teams in the league.

As the title race heats up, fans can expect an exciting battle between Arsenal and Liverpool, with both teams vying for the top spot in the Premier League. Trossard’s comments serve as a reminder of the high level of competition in the league, and the need for Arsenal to be ‘perfect’ if they want to emerge victorious.

  • Arsenal v Aston Villa: Premier League – live | Premier League

    Key events

Brentford 0-2 Liverpool: Nunez scores his second, cutting inside and roofing the ball past Mark Flekken after running on to a pass from Harvey Elliott. Liverpool left it late but look to have got the job done.

Brentford 0-1 Liverpool: On a day of profligacy and poor finishing from assorted Liverpool players, an uncharacteristically composed strike from Darwin Nunez looks to have won all three points for his side in added time at the Gtech Stadium.

Brentford v Liverpool: With five minutes to go, Thomas Frank’s side are currently holding Liverpool at the Gtech Community Stadium, so as things stand Arsenal could move within two points of the League leaders (having played one game more) with a win over Villa.

Mikel Arteta: Speaking ahead of this game yesterday, Arsenal’s manager reflected on his side’s win over Spurs on Tuesday night before turning his thoughts to tonight’s task.

“I loved the attitude that the team played with, a great occasion in front of our people, the atmosphere was brilliant but we move on to the next one, that’s a big game,” he said. “We will try as hard as possible to prepare in the best way to win. We know the difficulty of the team that they are, that’s why they are performing so well. Great players, and a great coach.”

On Arsenal’s title credentials: “If we refer to the stats, the stats said that we were the best team in the league but the reality is that we didn’t win the league so we still need to improve and be better,” he said. “We are playing to win and that’s exactly where we want to be. The pressure comes from within. You have to thrive to be the best that you possibly can be.”

Those teams: William Saliba is a conspicuous absentee for Arsenal, having pulled up lame with a hamstring strain towards the end of his side’s win over Spurs in midweek.

We can probably expect to see Jurrien Timber fill in at centre-back alongside Gabriel, with Thomas Partey lining up at right-back. This game has also come too soon for Riccardo Calafiori, who is not in the matchday squad. Myles Lewis-Skelly keep his place at left-back, where he impressed his nan with his tough tackling against Tottenham.

Unai Emery brings in Ian Maatsen at left-back for Villa, with Lucas Digne missing out. New signing Donyell Malen is on a strong substitutes’ bench, where he’ll be able to make smalltalk with Jhon Duran and Leon Bailey, among other new teammates.

    Early team news

Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri, Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all sidelined with injury, but Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori could return from injury after a three-game absence. Whether or not he will start ahead of Myles Lewis-Skelly, who played so well against Tottenham, remains to be seen.

Unai Emery is without Pau Torres, John McGinnn and Ross Barkley, who are all injured. Diego Carlos is also expected to be unavailable because of a minor niggle. The defender was linked with a move to Fenerbahce by his manager yesterday and is expected to leave Villa before the end of the transfer window.

In better news for Emery, the Spaniard can call on Donyell Malen, the 25-year-old Dutch winger who signed for Villa from Borussia Dortmund yesterday and could make his Premier League debut at the home of the club where he spent two years as a youth team player.

“He’s used to playing as a seven, sometimes an 11 on the left, but also as a number 10,” said Unai Emery of Malen. “He’s always close to the opponent’s box and scores and assists goals – we will need a player like him to be a threat to the opponent in behind.”

Premier League: Arsenal v Aston Villa

Following Tuesday night’s home win over Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal welcome Aston Villa to the Emirates for what could be a sterner test of their title credentials than the one they passed fairly easily in midweek.

Unbeaten in four games, Aston Villa arrive in London on the back of three consecutive wins and their manager Unai Emery will be hopeful his team can deliver the goods on a return to an old stomping ground where he unable to work his managerial magic. Kick-off at the Emirates Stadium is at 5.30pm (GMT) but we’ll have team news and build-up in the meantime.

  • Brentford vs Liverpool: Premier League preview, team news, stats & head-to-head

  • Brentford have won just one of their seven Premier League meetings with Liverpool (D1 L5), losing the last four in a row since a 3-1 win in January 2023.

  • Liverpool have scored in all seven of their Premier League meetings with Brentford (17 goals in total), while also keeping four clean sheets in these games.

  • Brentford have lost five of their seven Premier League games against sides starting the day top of the table, with both exceptions coming in 2023 (1-1 v Arsenal in February, 1-0 v Man City in May).

  • Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League away games against London sides (W5 D2), beating Tottenham 6-3 and West Ham 5-0 in their last two. In English Football League history (top four tiers), no side has ever scored 5+ goals in three consecutive away games in the capital.

  • Having earned 22 points from their first eight Premier League home games this season (W7 D1 L0), Brentford have picked up just one point from their last three (W0 D1 L2). However, they did come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Manchester City last time out.

  • Liverpool have conceded the first goal in five of their last seven Premier League games, having done so in just three of their first 13 this season. However, they’ve come to back to either win (1) or draw (4) all five of these games.

  • Liverpool have had at least 20 shots in their last three Premier League away games (24 vs Tottenham, 22 vs West Ham, 23 vs Nottingham Forest). The last team to do so in four in a row were Manchester City in November 2014.

  • No player has been involved in (7) more Premier League goals against Brentford than Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, with the Egyptian netting at least once in each of his last four against the Bees.

  • Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has scored 23 away Premier League goals in London – the only player with more is Wayne Rooney (30). Salah also has 13 assists in the capital, with only Ryan Giggs (19 goals, 29 assists) having more away goals and assists combined than the Egyptian (36).

  • No players have scored more home goals in the Premier League this season than Brentford pair Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa (9). The only Brentford player to reach double figures at home in a Premier League campaign is Ivan Toney (11 in 2022-23).

  • Brentford will host Liverpool at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday in what promises to be an exciting Premier League clash. Both teams will be looking to secure a vital three points as they continue their respective campaigns.

    Team News:
Brentford will be without the services of Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva, and Christian Norgaard due to injuries. However, they will be boosted by the return of Ivan Toney, who has been in fine form for the Bees this season.

Liverpool, on the other hand, will be without the injured trio of Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, and Naby Keita. However, they will welcome back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who missed the midweek Champions League clash against AC Milan.

    Stats:
    – Brentford are currently in 11th place in the Premier League table with 8 points from their opening 5 games.
    – Liverpool are in 3rd place with 10 points and are unbeaten in the league so far this season.
    – Brentford have scored 8 goals and conceded 7 in the league, while Liverpool have scored 12 and conceded 6.

    Head-to-Head:
This will be the first meeting between Brentford and Liverpool in the Premier League, as the Bees were promoted to the top flight this season. However, the two teams have faced each other in cup competitions in the past, with Liverpool winning both encounters.

    Prediction:
Liverpool will be the favorites going into this match, but Brentford have shown that they are a team to be reckoned with this season. It promises to be a closely contested game, but I predict Liverpool will come out on top with a narrow victory.

Don’t miss this exciting clash between Brentford and Liverpool on Saturday. Stay tuned for all the action and updates on this Premier League showdown.

  • Leicester City vs Fulham: Premier League preview, team news, stats & head-to-head

  • Leicester have won just one of their five Premier League home games against Fulham (D1 L3), beating them 3-1 in March 2019 in Brendan Rodgers’ first home game in charge.

  • Fulham have won six of their 11 Premier League games against Leicester (D3 L2) – of sides they’ve faced 10+ times in the competition, against no other do they have a higher win rate (55%, also against Bolton).

  • This is the 12th Premier League meeting between Leicester and Fulham – it is the most played fixture in the competition where at least one of the sides was newly promoted to the division in every single meeting.

  • Leicester City have lost their last six Premier League matches, only once having a longer losing run in the competition, losing eight in a row in March and April 2001 under Peter Taylor.

  • Having failed to score in their first Premier League away game this season (0-1 vs Manchester United), Fulham have now scored in each of their last nine on the road, their longest away scoring streak in the competition.

  • Fulham have scored exactly twice in each of their last four Premier League games, but have failed to win any of the last three (D2 L1). Only twice in Premier League history has a side scored multiple goals in four consecutive games but failed to win any of them – Derby County (5 in September 2000) and West Ham (4 in April 2016).

  • Leicester have lost six of their eight Premier League games under Ruud van Nistelrooy (W1 D1), with the Dutchman already losing more league games with the Foxes than he did with PSV in the Eredivisie in 2022-23 (W23 D6 L5).

  • Fulham’s Alex Iwobi has scored in his last two Premier League appearances against Leicester, including the winner in this season’s reverse fixture in August. The Nigerian has also either scored (1) or assisted (2) a goal in each of his last three games at the King Power Stadium.

  • Jamie Vardy scored in his first two Premier League appearances for Leicester under Ruud van Nistelrooy but has since gone five without a goal, having 18 shots with an xG value of 2.6 without finding the net.

  • Antonee Robinson has provided more assists than any other defender in the Premier League this season (9). The only Fulham player to reach double figures for assists in a single Premier League campaign is Steed Malbranque in 2003-04 (10).

  • Leicester City will face off against Fulham in a highly anticipated Premier League match this weekend. Both teams will be looking to secure a crucial victory as they aim to climb up the league table.

    Team News:
Leicester City will be without the services of their star striker Jamie Vardy, who is sidelined with a hip injury. However, they will be boosted by the return of midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who is set to make his comeback from a hamstring injury. Fulham, on the other hand, will be without the services of midfielder Tom Cairney and defender Kenny Tete, who are both nursing injuries.

    Stats:
Leicester City have had a solid start to the season, sitting comfortably in the top half of the table. They have scored 25 goals in 19 matches, with midfielder James Maddison leading the way with 6 goals and 4 assists. Fulham, on the other hand, have struggled this season and find themselves in the relegation zone. They have scored just 15 goals in 19 matches, with striker Ivan Cavaleiro leading the way with 3 goals and 2 assists.

    Head-to-Head:
Leicester City have a strong record against Fulham in recent years, winning 3 out of their last 4 meetings. The last time these two teams met, Leicester City secured a 2-0 victory at Craven Cottage. Fulham will be looking to turn the tables this time around and secure a crucial win to boost their survival hopes.

Overall, this promises to be an exciting match with both teams eager to secure all three points. Make sure to tune in and catch all the action as Leicester City take on Fulham in this Premier League showdown.
