With less than three weeks to go until the Alan Ritchson-starring series adaptation of Lee Child‘s Jack Reacher novels returns for a third season, Prime Video is offering us a look at the upcoming season as part of its “New to Prime Video: February 2025” trailer which dropped earlier today. Previously, we were treated to images of Ritchson’s Jack, Anthony Michael Hall‘s businessman Zachary Beck, “The Dutch Giant” Olivier Richters‘ bodyguard Paulie, Sonya Cassidy‘s DEA Agent Susan Duffy, Roberto Montesinos‘ veteran DEA Agent Guillermo Villanueva, and Maria Sten‘s Frances Neagley (of soon-to-be spinoff fame). Now, we’re getting a look at Reacher in all sorts of danger…

You can check out the look at Prime Video’s Reacher Season 3 beginning at around the 3:05 mark:
Reacher Season 3: Some Things You Should Know…
Back in January 2024, we learned that the third season would be tackling Lee Child‘s seventh novel, 2003’s Persuader, with Reacher going undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past. In February, we learned that Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy were joining Ritchson and the returning Maria Sten (Frances Neagley) during the currently-in-production season. Hall’s Zachary Beck is a formidable & successful businessman – and a widow and single father of a 20-year-old son, Richard – who owns a rug import company that Reacher believes is a cover for some shady dealings. Cassidy’s Susan Duffy is an extremely intelligent and tough DEA agent from Boston with a sharp and sarcastic sense of humor.
In March 2024, we learned that Brian Tee had joined the cast in the series regular role of Quinn. A physically imposing and intimidating character, Quinn was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army whom Reacher (Ritchson) investigated a decade prior when he sold military secrets to hostile nations. In addition, Johnny Berchtold was cast in the series regular role of Richard Beck, a sensitive and artistic college student who lost his mother when he was young and is the only son of businessman Zachary Beck (Hall). Five years ago, he was the victim of a traumatic kidnapping that left him mutilated.
Roberto Montesinos‘ series regular Guillermo Villanueva is a DEA agent on the verge of retirement who has served as the mentor and father figure of Agent Susan Duffy (Cassidy). Paunchy with bad knees and a good-natured sense of humor, Villanueva loves and cares about Duffy – even though they bust each other’s chops all the time. Daniel David Stewart‘s recurring Steven Elliot is a clean-cut rookie DEA agent – a lovable guy who’s fresh-faced, new to the job, and still learning. In addition, we learned that “The Dutch Giant” Olivier Richters (Black Widow, Borderlands) has joined the cast as Paulie – one of Beck’s bodyguards and 7 feet, 2 inches of trouble for Jack.

Samoa’s prime minister, Fiame Naomi Mataʻafa, has criticised Robert F Kennedy Jr’s views and the spread of vaccine misinformation related to the deadly 2019 measles outbreak that claimed the lives of at least 83 people, mostly babies in her country.
It comes as Kennedy, who is president Donald Trump’s pick to lead the top US health agency, faced attacks in Senate confirmation hearings this week with Democratic lawmakers accusing him of covering up his anti-vaccine views.
“If he is the messenger for anti-vaxxers, as a leader, I do not agree with him,” Fiame told the Guardian in her first public comments on Kennedy after the first day of his confirmation hearings in the US.
Fiame said she was surprised by his nomination given his anti-vaccination rhetoric. She added that she refused to believe that Kennedy’s and Trump’s sentiments reflect those held by most Americans.
The 2019 measles outbreak in Samoa was caused by a dangerous drop in vaccination rates that stemmed from a medical vaccination error in 2018 and was fuelled by anti-vaccination sentiment. The previous Samoan government’s public health mismanagement also contributed to the crisis.
By October 2019, vaccination rates had fallen to 31% – down from 84% four years previously, according to WHO data. The decline began after a 2018 medical error, where two infants died due to nurses incorrectly administering vaccines mixed with an expired muscle relaxant. Though the error was unrelated to vaccine safety, anti-vaccine activists falsely blamed the MMR vaccine for the deaths.
As a result, when measles entered Samoa in late 2019, the low immunity levels allowed the disease to spread rapidly, leading to at least 83 deaths and over 5,700 cases, mostly among babies and young children.
“The facts remain that the two babies who died [in 2018] were through human error of the nurses. All the different actors, especially anti-vax people, got on board and suggested that the vaccination was the cause, which is complete rubbish,” Fiame said.
“We have a track record prior to that of high rates of vaccination for our children, and they were safe. The facts speak for themselves,” Fiame told the Guardian. “It was unvaccinated children who died.”
While Kennedy denies his visit to Samoa in 2019 worsened the outbreak, health officials argue that his anti-vaccine rhetoric fuelled public fear at the height of vaccine hesitancy in Samoa.
“His visit did not help our cause as we were already dealing with misinformation and hesitancy from the two deaths,” said Luana Tui, a Samoan community health worker who was part of the vaccination drive during the measles pandemic.
In the wake of a deadly measles outbreak in Samoa, Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has condemned Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s anti-vaccine views. Kennedy, a vocal critic of vaccines, has been spreading misinformation about the safety and efficacy of vaccines, leading to a decrease in vaccination rates in many communities.
The deadly measles outbreak in Samoa has claimed the lives of dozens of children, prompting the government to declare a state of emergency and launch a mass vaccination campaign. Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has called out Kennedy for his dangerous rhetoric, stating that his anti-vaccine views have directly contributed to the spread of preventable diseases.
Malielegaoi emphasized the importance of vaccination in preventing outbreaks of deadly diseases and urged the public to listen to medical experts rather than celebrities like Kennedy. He also called on social media platforms to take a stand against the spread of misinformation about vaccines.
The deadly measles outbreak in Samoa serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of anti-vaccine propaganda. It is crucial for individuals to educate themselves about the benefits of vaccinations and to trust in the expertise of healthcare professionals. Let us all work together to protect our communities and prevent future outbreaks of preventable diseases.

The ‘epic’ series has scored critical acclaim (Picture: Thomas Fuller/SOPA Images/LightRocket/Getty)
TV fans are buzzing as they gear up for the return of an ‘absolutely addictive’ series – the new season of which is just days away.
Invincible, which has become one of the biggest TV hits on Amazon Prime Video in recent years, is returning with its third season.
First launching in 2021, the adult animated superhero series is based on the Image Comics comic book series of the same name.
It follows the tale of a teenager called Mark Grayson (voiced by The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun) as he goes on a path of self-discovery while balancing his newfound responsibility as a superhero.
The first two seasons both received widespread critical acclaim, with viewers eagerly praising its ‘bloody action’ and ‘transfixing story’.
Invincible has also drawn frequent comparisons to the notoriously violent and subversive live-action superhero show The Boys, also on Amazon Prime Video.
The ‘absolutely addictive’ series is about to return for season three (Picture: Prime Video)
With season three of Invincible now less than a week away, fans are excited beyond belief to watch the new episodes – particularly those who have an inkling of what’s going to happen after reading the comics.
‘As someone who has read the comics just earlier this year, this is the season Invincible really, really starts,’ a YouTube user called THEcallumation commented after watching the trailer.
Another user called Davi.A.B.2004 agreed, writing: ‘Season three of Invincible is going to be epic. They have everything [for this] to be the best season of this show.’

On X, @SeaShell gave a review of the series: ‘Invincible is humour, mystery, drama, romance and science fiction, all rolled up into one absolutely addictive treat.’
AinsassoBrawler added: ‘Now this is where Invincible REALLY starts… ,’
Some comments pointed to the fact that in the trailer, Mark is shown switching from his bright yellow and blue suit to one that’s instead black and blue.
One comic book fan called kysonbarlow8748 stressed: ‘For those of you who haven’t read the comics, Mark’s new blue suit means one of the most BRUTAL fights is closing in!’
‘The blue and black suit!!! This season gonna be PEAK fr,’ John44345 stated.
Others highlighted one of the most dramatic lines featured in the trailer, which goes: ‘You can be the good guys, or the guys that save the world. You can’t be both.’
‘Goes unbelievably hard,’ vi5ionnono507 remarked about the line of dialogue, as djmegablast9855 called it ‘easily one of the HARDEST bars of the year!!!’
Mark has undergone a huge transformation on his coming-of-age journey since the show began (Picture: Amazon Prime Video)
In the official Amazon Prime Video synopsis for Invincible season three, it states: ‘Based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series, Invincible follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson.
‘Michael inherits his father’s superpowers and sets out to become Earth’s greatest defender, only to discover the job is more challenging than he could have ever imagined.
‘Everything changes as Mark is forced to face his past, and his future, while discovering how much further he’ll need to go to protect the people he loves.’
Viewers can currently catch up on the first two seasons of Invincible on Amazon Prime Video, which both consist of eight episodes each, as well as the special episode which came out in July 2023.
Invincible season 3 launches with the first three episodes on Thursday February 6 on Amazon Prime Video.

Another weekend, another batch of shows and movies to wile away the hours with. Today is the last day of January, so this is the first streaming guide of February, 2025. And there are definitely a few things worth checking out new to the myriad streaming services we all subscribe to these days.
Every week, I search high and low for the best new TV shows, movies, comedy specials, documentaries and whatever else catches my eye and publish them here in this guide. Some I’ve seen and reviewed. Others are just as new to me as they are to you. I also list the current ongoing shows that air each week that I think are worth watching.
If you have any tips or I missed something, shoot me a message on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. You can check out last weekend’s streaming guide right here.
Paradise is a new sci-fi political thriller from Dan Fogelman, the creator of the huge hit series This Is Us as well as Only Murders in the Building and the wildly underrated fantasy musical series Galavant (which I highly recommend). It stars This Is Us alum, Sterling K. Brown as the chief security agent for a US President, Cal “Wildcat” Bradford (James Marsden). The first episode is filled with mystery and one genuinely shocking turn that I won’t spoil.
I’ve only seen the first episode and I thought it was pretty good, but not great. Good enough to keep watching, not good enough to sing its praises (at least not yet). The big twist has huge implications for the rest of the series, but I’m not sure that I love it. We shall see. The first three episodes are out now, with more following every Tuesday for a total of 8 episodes. Critics and audiences largely agree on this one. On Rotten Tomatoes it has an 80% with critics and 79% with audiences.
You’re Cordially Invited (Prime Video)
Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon star in this rom-com / comedy of errors from director Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors, Get Him To The Greek). The premise is simple: A bride and her father realize that the wedding venue they’ve booked for her wedding has also been booked by another bride and her sister. Comedy ensues, though critics and audiences both give this one a “Rotten” score (45% and 39% respectively). Might be a fun popcorn movie, though.
The Recruit – Season 2 (Netflix)
This looks right up my alley, but I missed the first season of The Recruit when it came out so I have some catching up to do. The series follows rookie CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo) as he becomes embroiled in some good old-fashioned international espionage. Critics seem to like Season 2 better than Season 1, while audiences give it a slightly lower score on Rotten Tomatoes. I’ll have to check it out.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Disney Plus)
X-Men 97 was a big hit on Disney+ so it’s no wonder we’re getting another “retro” animated series. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man brings back that old-school animation along with lots of fun adventure for our web-slinging hero. Critics give this a resounding “Fresh” score of 97% but audiences are more skeptical at 63%.
Saturday Night (Netflix)
Saturday Night follows a young Lorne Michaels and his crew as they prepare for the very first broadcast of Saturday Night Live. Director Jason Reitman teamed up with Gil Kenan on the script. Some critics really hated this one, but overall it’s done well with both critics and audiences (who liked it more) and I’ve been waiting for it to drop on Netflix. Fans of the original SNL cast—which included young Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase—should definitely give this one a shot. Matthew Rhys plays George Carlin who, you may recall, gave the very first ever opening monologue for SNL.
Babygirl (VOD)
Now out on Video-On-Demand, erotic thriller Babygirl from director Halina Rejin stars Nicole Kidman as CEO Romy Mathis. She’s unsatisfied with her sex life and turns to a younger man, Samuel (Harris Dickinson) to explore her submissive fantasies. I haven’t seen this, but I do find it funny that the actor who plays Kidman’s husband is Antonio Banderas, which ought to make suspending your disbelief at this entire scenario pretty difficult!
Dog Man (In Theaters)
Beloved kids book series Dog Man is now a feature film from DreamWorks. Sounds like it’s fun for the whole family with a 79% Rotten Tomatoes score. Parents should at least consider doing their civic duty and take their kids, if only to remind them that movie theaters still exist and can be a lot of fun.
What’s Streaming Weekly
As always, a number of TV shows continue to air each week—not everyone has adopted the Netflix binge model!—and I list some of those here.
Prime Target continues airing new episodes on Apple. This spy thriller follows a math genius obsessed with prime numbers who heads down a twisty turny path of no return. I still haven’t started it yet, as I caught up on the first season of Lioness and then started rewatching The Wire. But I’ll check it out soon. New episodes drop Wednesdays. (Apple)
The Pitt just dropped its fifth episode Thursday though I haven’t had time to watch it yet. I loved the first four episodes (my review) and I’m not even that into medical dramas. This one stars Noah Wyle of ER fame and takes on the 24 format where each new episode is another hour in the Pittsburgh ER. It’s incredibly bingeworthy, so consider holding off watching as episodes air and then binge a few at once. New episodes drop Thursday. (Max)
Traitors – Season 3is the most popular reality TV competition show out at the moment and I’ve heard great things, but as I am not a reality TV show fan, I have not watched it. I might have to break my own rules, however, just to see what all the fuss is about. (Peacock)
Dexter: Original Sinis one of those shows where each time I remember a new episode is out I get really excited. Like right now, as I type this post I realize there’s a new episode out because a new one drops each Friday. Maybe I’ll go watch it after I’m done writing this guide! It’s so much fun and such a pleasant surprise. Here’s my review. (Paramount)
What are you watching these days? What should I put on this list or add to my backlog? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky or Facebook.

The Amazon Prime Video rom-com You’re Cordially Invited is written and directed by Nicholas Stoller, who made some of the more memorable comedies of the 2000s and 2010s, including Forgetting Sarah Marshallandthe Neighbors movies. His new film is a would-be throwback to that era in other ways as well. It co-stars two of the biggest box-office draws of the aughts, Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon, albeit each in a role neither of them would have taken on at that time: Ferrell because his shambling every-oaf persona lent itself better to broad buddy comedies than to warmhearted romances, and Witherspoon because, 20 years ago, she would have been cast as the high-maintenance bride herself, rather than that character’s micromanaging older sister. The idea of bringing together these two titans of Hollywood likability—veterans, in Ferrell’s case literally, of the old-school studio comedy—had promise. Emphasis on the “had.”
Ferrell’s Jim is a single-dad widower who’s been raising his only child, Jenni (Geraldine Viswanathan of Blockersand 2020’s Bad Education), since she was 6 years old. Their father-daughter connection is so close as to become a running joke, with the pair immediately short-circuiting any hint of potential conflict with a demonstration of cooing affection. When Jenni announces she’s marrying her boyfriend (Stony Blyden), Jim represses his fears of abandonment by springing into superdad mode, immediately booking them a wedding weekend at the Palmetto House, a tiny hotel on an island in the state of Georgia where he and his late wife married years ago. The trouble is that unbeknownst to Jim, the elderly innkeeper who answers his phone call drops dead before she can find a working pen to write his name down—a pitch-dark sight gag of the sort this often treacly comedy could have used more of.
Witherspoon’s Margot is a trickier piece of work, a tightly wound reality-TV producer in L.A. who’s semi-estranged from her Atlanta-based family because of a prickly relationship with her judgmental mother (Celia Weston). Still, Margot adores her younger sister Neve (Meredith Hagner of Search Party and Bad Monkey), so when she learns Neve is both engaged to a dimwitted but adoring Chippendales dancer (American Vandal’s Jimmy Tatro) and secretly pregnant with his child, Margot is determined to go all in on planning the perfect wedding for her baby sis. Guess which remote island resort she chooses to reserve for the blessed event? That’s right, the Palmetto House, where both families converge on the first weekend in June for what each party believes will be a private family gathering.
After some negotiation with the inn’s anxious manager (an underutilized Jack McBrayer), the two clans agree to share the limited space by staggering their planned events so as not to overlap. The shenanigans that unfold over the next few double-booked days should be predictable to anyone who’s seen a romantic comedy set at a wedding. At some point, an elaborately tiered cake will crash to the ground. A collapsing dock will dunk dressed-to-the-nines attendees in water. A pair of guests will perform a sappy pop song (here, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s country-inflected duet “Islands in the Stream”) that gets reprised by the whole cast under the closing credits, just as happened last year with Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” in the unpleasant yet successful rom-com Anyone But You. And while everyone may not end up with exactly the partner they thought they were fated for, family rifts will be healed, long-suppressed hurts will be tearfully confessed, and, at least in this one case, live alligators will be wrestled in hotel-room beds, for reasons that are never entirely clear to either the characters or the audience.
The best moments in You’re Cordially Invited come in its middle section, when Jim and Margot have dug into their battle positions and sworn to one-up each other both as event organizers and as the emotional caretakers of their respective brides. Even when they’re working from a less than sparkling script, Ferrell and Witherspoon’s enormous reserves of movie-star charisma, and their shared flair for playing characters who are as comically self-absorbed as they are sure of their own moral righteousness, make their bouts of dance-floor sparring and top-this wedding toasts genuinely funny. Stoller understands, too, that no wedding comedy could work without a supporting cast of endearingly terrible relatives, so he gives Margot an extended family that includes Leanne Morgan as a perpetually drunk and horny sister, Rory Scovel as a knuckle-dragging brother, and best of all, Celia Weston, stealing every scene she’s in as a hypercritical Southern matriarch whose barbed exterior conceals unexpected maternal warmth.
Sadly, You’re Cordially Invited eventually founders on the same rocky shores as many recent attempts to revive the rom-com. In its final act, as the interweaving strands of nuptial chaos begin to resolve into a détente among the newlyweds and their families, Jim and Margot somewhat abruptly emerge as romantic partners themselves. While the age distance between the two is not enormous—Ferrell is 57 to Witherspoon’s 48—there is a curious wrongness to these two as a couple, especially given their characters as previously established in the movie. Jim, we have been shown in scene after scene, is an over-enmeshed father who badly needs some time on his own to figure out who he is. Margot, for her part, is a happily busy career woman who has never evinced any sign of dissatisfaction with her single status. Pairing them up at the end as lovebirds mutually crooning the very same song that was earlier used as an example of Jim and his daughter’s quasi-incestuously codependent relationship leaves the viewer with a claustrophobic sense that coupledom is the only conceivable happy ending.
What if Jim and Margot had ended up as close but bickering friends, continuing to one-up each other via text about their respective brides’ ongoing blissfulness? Or what if they had slept together in a moment of Champagne-fueled folly, only to realize the next morning that though they might not be a viable long-term match, at least they would always have that night at the Palmetto House? For the romantic comedy to continue to evolve as a genre, an outcome every film fan seems to want, we need more viable paths to happy-ever-afterness than the Shakespearean model of marrying off every character in the last scene. If You’re Cordially Invited merits your RSVP—and for die-hard fans of the genre, it might—it’s because of the comic chemistry between its dueling event planners. But does every bickering couple in a wedding rom-com need to end up as the figures on top of the cake?

Just finished testing out the ASUS PRIME Z270-A LGA motherboard with 8GB of Corsair DDR4 RAM and an Intel G4600 2.9GHz processor – and let me tell you, this setup did not disappoint!
The motherboard was easy to install and had a ton of great features, including plenty of USB ports, support for high-speed memory, and excellent overclocking capabilities. The Corsair RAM performed flawlessly, providing fast and reliable performance for all my tasks. And the Intel G4600 processor was a beast, handling everything from gaming to video editing with ease.
Overall, I was very impressed with this setup and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and reliable PC build. ASUS, Corsair, and Intel have definitely delivered with this combination!
