The college football season ends Monday night with Ohio State and Notre Dame playing for the national championship. There will be talent on display at practically every position.
Who will excel on the national stage? Who will disappoint? Most importantly, which betting markets are most vulnerable?
The following is the definitive guide to betting the player prop market courtesy of NBC Sports’ college expert Eric Froton (@CFFroton).
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State: Over 4.5 Receptions
I was fortunate to attend the Ohio State @ Notre Dame game last year with my Bet The Edge co-host Brad Thomas, and while the OC and QB were different, Emeka Egbuka was the leading weapon for OSU accruing 7 receptions for 95 yards in the 17-14 slugfest. While Texas played zone coverage that restrained the impact of Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith, Notre Dame plays Man-to-Man more than any other team in the country (63.7%) which Ryan Day used to drag Egbuka across the field through traffic and get the ball in his hands in space. I think he has another productive outing.
Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame: Over 8.5 First Quarter Rushing Yards | FanDuel (-120) | .75 Units
Notre Dame is at their best when running the ball consistently on early downs and countering with their efficient passing game that’s completing 66.7% of their throws as a team. With the Irish down 10-3 heading into half, they proceeded to lean heavily on the ground game in the third quarter, running the ball on 7 of their first 8 plays coming out of half. ND’s ability to win on the interior helped create the 1-on-1 matchup that produced a 54-yard touchdown strike to Jaden Greathouse.
Love leads all P4 skill players with 9.3 all-purpose yards per first down touch and leads the FBS with 7.1 yards per first half carry. I don’t think Notre Dame waits until the second half to attack Ohio State on the ground like they did last game, which means I think Love gets 4-5 first quarter totes that should put him in prime position to clear a very palatable 8.5 rushing yards first quarter total.Beaux Collins, WR, Notre Dame: Under 1.5 Receptions
Collins ran just 3 pass routes last game against Penn State after sustaining a calf injury in Round 2 vs. Georgia. Even when healthy, Collins has only reached 2+ receptions on 2 of his last 7 games, serving as the high risk-high reward deep shot specialist. Further complicating matters is Collins’ woeful 16% drop rate that ranks 4th-worst among all Power Conference receivers this season. With all offseason to heal up, it’s reasonable to expect Collins to give it the ole college try and at least make an appearance, which would be a dream scenario for the purposes of this wager since he’s already unlikely to catch multiple passes even without the omnipresent injury issues. This line is still up on Bovada and represents my Best Bet.
Riley Leonard, QB, Notre Dame: Under 37.5 Rushing Yards
I’m convinced that Ohio State treats Leonard in a similar manner that they targeted Nico Iamaleava in Round 1 of the CFP Playoffs – spy him every play and dare Notre Dame to either put the ball in the air, or to pound them with the Love/Price/Williams triumvirate. If ND gets down and is forced to air-it-out in a come from behind play script for the first time all year, then OSU’s ferocious pass rush that ranks 1st nationally in sacks per dropback rate at 10.4% is going to be unleashed which is assuredly going to result in negative yardage for Leonard. Throw in the always unfortunate injury possibility, which was a factor against Penn State with backup QB Steven Angeli closing out the first half, and I’m skeptical Leonard is able to clear his 37.5 Rushing Yardage total.
Enjoy the game. Best of luck with all your wagers.
Follow Eric Froton (@CFFroton) throughout the game for in game betting opportunities.
With the 2025 National Championship Game between Notre Dame and Ohio State just around the corner, it’s time to start looking at some of the best bets in the player prop market. Both teams are stacked with talent, so there are plenty of opportunities to make some money on individual player performances. Here are a few player prop bets to consider for the big game:
1. J.T. Daniels over 300 passing yards – Ohio State’s defense has been solid all season, but J.T. Daniels has been lighting it up through the air. Look for him to surpass the 300-yard mark in this high-stakes matchup.
2. Kyren Williams to score a touchdown – Notre Dame’s star running back has been a touchdown machine all season. Bet on him to find the end zone at least once in the national championship game.
3. Garrett Wilson over 100 receiving yards – Ohio State’s top receiver has been a nightmare for opposing defenses all year. Expect him to have a big game and eclipse the 100-yard mark in receiving yards.
4. Kyle Hamilton to record an interception – Notre Dame’s standout safety is a ball hawk in the secondary. Bet on him to come up with a key interception in the national championship game.
5. TreVeyon Henderson to rush for over 100 yards – Ohio State’s talented freshman running back has been a revelation this season. Look for him to have a big game on the ground and surpass the 100-yard mark in rushing yards.
These are just a few of the player prop bets to consider for the 2025 National Championship Game between Notre Dame and Ohio State. Make sure to do your research and shop around for the best odds to maximize your potential winnings. Good luck!

3 Best NBA Player Prop Bets for Friday 1/17/25
The beauty of the NBA is you will never be short on prop-betting options for a given slate.
From points to steals and three-pointers, FanDuel Sportsbook’s NBA odds are overflowing with possibilities. We’re here to help you sift through it all.
Using FanDuel Research’s daily NBA projections as a guide, here are some NBA player prop bets that look appealing on FanDuel.
Please note: lines and projections are subject to change throughout the day after this article is published. All NBA odds come from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Today’s Best NBA Player Prop Picks
Charlotte Hornets at Chicago Bulls
Coby White Over 22.5 Pts + Ast (-115)
I’m a sucker for betting on Coby White when the matchup is right and see no reason to deny him in tonight’s meeting against the Charlotte Hornets.
The Hornets come in with a 17th-ranked defense. On the season, White is averaging 23.2 combined points and assists (PA), but he’s netting an increased 24.4 PA against the bottom 15 defenses. He’s surpassed 22.5 PA in 10 out of 14 games (71.4%) in this split.
Charlotte has been playing at the ninth-fastest pace across their last 12 games. White has outdone 22.5 PA in 73.3% of games (11 out of 15 contests) against top-10 pace clubs.
Odds not available at this time.
Please check back later
Here’s a look at White’s PA output against teams that fare in the top half of pace and the bottom half of defensive rating: 22, 21, 24, 23, 32, 24, 28, 23, 29, 23, and 34 PA.
Evidently, these -115 odds (53.5% implied probability) are short-selling White’s potential to a fairly astonishing degree. The spread (4.5) is close, the total is high (235.5), and White will get to play this one on his home court. Our NBA projections expect him to log 24.0 PA in this one.
Denver Nuggets at Miami Heat
Bam Adebayo Over 28.5 Pts + Reb + Ast (-115)
Here’s another guy who is seemingly undervalued in the player combo market for Friday.
Bam Adebayo is averaging 30.1 combined points, rebounds, and assists (PRA) and has cleared 28.5 PRA at a 57.9% rate, up from the 53.5% implied probability on these -115 odds.
A closer look at his matchup should have our sights set on the over.
Bam and the Miami Heat will host the Denver Nuggets. Denver operates at the fifth-fastest pace in the league, putting the Heat — who run at the fourth-slowest pace — in a major pace-up spot.
Adebayo has shined in these contests. He’s amassing 33.9 PRA and clearing 28.5 PRA at a whooping 80.0% rate (12 out of 15 contests) against top 10 pace teams.
Odds not available at this time.
Please check back later
To add, the Nuggets are letting up the 11th-most points, 12th-most rebounds, and the 7th-most assists per game to opposing centers. Bam tallied 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists — good for 33 PRA — when he met up with Denver earlier this season. Add in the close spread (1.0) and decent total (226.0), and Bam seems well-suited to stuff the stat sheet tonight.
Orlando Magic at Boston Celtics
Derrick White To Score 15+ Points (+150)
Something’s gotta give with Derrick White.
He’s gone an intolerable 8-for-36 (22.2% FG%) from the field and 3-for-29 (10.3% 3P%) from downtown across his last four games.
A home game against an injury-riddled Orlando Magic team could get him back on track and the market is practically begging us to side with him. White has scored at least 15 points at a 65.8% rate, way up from the 40.0% implied probability on these +150 odds.
Odds not available at this time.
Please check back later
White’s role is steady as can be. His recent shooting struggles are uncharacteristic, but he’ll always have the green light to shoot threes so long as Joe Mazzulla is in charge.
Orlando touts the league’s second-best defensive rating. Notably, White has scored 15 points in 77.8% of games against the top 10 defenses. The Magic also rank dead-last in pace. White, meanwhile, has scored 15 points in 81.8% of contests versus top-10 pace teams.
Our NBA projections forecast D-White to score 15.2 points tonight. I’m more than happy to buy the dip.

- LeBron James Over 27.5 Points: LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are facing off against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night. James has been on a scoring tear lately, averaging over 30 points per game in his last 5 matchups. With the Lakers looking to bounce back from a recent loss, expect LeBron to lead the charge and easily surpass the 27.5 point mark.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 10.5 Rebounds: The Milwaukee Bucks are taking on the Boston Celtics in what is sure to be a competitive matchup. Giannis Antetokounmpo, known for his dominant rebounding abilities, should have no trouble grabbing over 10.5 rebounds in this game. With the Bucks fighting for a top spot in the Eastern Conference, Giannis will be looking to make a statement on the boards.
- Luka Doncic Over 8.5 Assists: Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are up against the Philadelphia 76ers in what should be a close game. Doncic has been a playmaking machine this season, averaging over 9 assists per game. With the Mavericks relying heavily on his passing skills, expect Luka to dish out over 8.5 assists in this matchup.
These three player prop bets offer great value and are worth considering for Friday’s NBA games. Good luck!

#NBA #Player #Prop #Bets #FridayGeorge Pickens best prop bets for Steelers vs. Bengals on Saturday
Blake Krass discusses the best George Pickens prop bets to consider against the Bengals on Saturday of Week 18.
The Steelers are facing the Bengals in an AFC North divisional matchup on Saturday night of Week 18. Here are some George Pickens prop bets to consider at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Here are George Pickens’ current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 4.5 receptions and o/u 65.5 receiving yards. Pickens is +115 to score a touchdown, +850 to score 2+ touchdowns and +850 to score the first touchdown of the game.
The Steelers and Bengals face off in an exciting AFC North matchup to end the regular season. The Ravens will take on the Browns in another AFC North battle before this game. If the Ravens somehow lose the game, the Steelers can clinch the division with a win over the Bengals. It is incredibly unlikely that the Ravens will lose to Cleveland, but even with a Ravens win, there is motivation for the Steelers to play hard on Saturday night.
The Bengals will be eliminated from playoff contention with a loss in this game, so Pittsburgh would love to eliminate their divisional rivals. Also, the Steelers secure the 5-seed with a win in this game. That means they get to travel to take on the struggling Texans in the Wildcard Round rather than the Bills or Ravens. That would dramatically increase the Steelers’ chances of winning a playoff game so they should battle hard for a win in this game regardless of the outcome of the Baltimore-Cleveland matchup.
The Bengals have had a vulnerable secondary all season. They rank 21st in defensive EPA/dropback and 22nd in defensive dropback success rate. They have given up ten 40+ yard catches this season, the fourth-most of any team in the NFL this season. George Pickens has the seventh-most explosive (20+ yard) catches in the NFL this season and should be able to attack that Cincinnati secondary.
Pickens was able to hit an explosive play the last time these two teams faced, recording a 36-yard reception. He also had a huge catch last week against the Chiefs in his return from injury. Pickens missed three games between that first matchup against the Bengals and last week’s game against the Chiefs. Pickens didn’t have his best game, but still recorded a 41-yard reception.
That makes eight straight games with a reception of 31 yards or longer for Pickens. That is why I am betting on him to go over his longest reception prop of 27.5 yards in this game. Pickens has exceeded this number in every game that Russell Wilson has started for the Steelers and he should do so again versus a vulnerable Bengals secondary.
Pick: George Pickens Longest Reception Over 27.5 Yards (-130)

Here are some of the top prop bets to consider for George Pickens in the upcoming Steelers vs. Bengals game on Saturday:1. Total receiving yards: Over/Under 75.5 yards
2. Total receptions: Over/Under 5.5 receptions
3. First touchdown scorer: George Pickens or any other player
4. Longest reception: Over/Under 25.5 yards
5. Anytime touchdown scorer: George Pickens or any other player
6. Total receiving touchdowns: Over/Under 0.5 touchdownsKeep an eye on George Pickens as he looks to make an impact in this crucial AFC North matchup. Good luck with your prop bets! #Steelers #Bengals #GeorgePickens #PropBets
