  • See Dennis Quaid as a Murderous Serial Killer in First ‘Happy Face’ Trailer

The first trailer for Happy Face is here!

A preview at the new Paramount+ show documenting a serial killer’s daughter, played by Annaleigh Ashford, fighting for justice has been released. Based on the real-life story of murderer Keith Jesperson and his daughter Melissa Reed, Happy Face stars Dennis Quaid as the dangerous Happy Face Killer.

“What do you know about the Happy Face Killer?” a talk show host named Dr. Greg (David Harewood) asks Reed at the start of the trailer. “Perhaps we should just explain why you’re here.”

After flashbacks of her childhood appear on the screen, she reveals her secret.

“Because he’s my father,” she tells the audience.

A series of clips of Reed investigating cases she believes are linked to her estranged father then play while she contemplates reconciling with him for the sake of a man being put in jail for crimes Jesperson actually committed.

“Every violent act is a rock dropped in water,” she says. “If you stay silent, the ripples of trauma just keep pulling everyone they touch underneath.”

It ends with her decision: a visit to the prison where her father is being held.

“It’s so good to see you, Missy,” he whispers as the two come face-to-face.

Jesperson’s killings have been a topic of public interest since 2010 when he was convicted and given three life sentences for the strangulation deaths of eight women in the 1990’s (he once claimed to have as many as 160 victims). His last victim was only recently discovered in 2023, 29 years after her murder.

Jesperson was only dubbed the “Happy Face Killer” after the murders when he allegedly began drawing smiley faces on letters to police and the media during their investigation.

His daughter, who goes by Melissa Moore, has been outspoken about the impact her father’s crimes had on her life, even writing a book about it in 2009, called Shattered Silence. She later opened up about it in an interview with 20/20 in 2015.

“We are secondary crime victims. We carry that shame and we want to remove that,” Moore said at the time” “I feel in a sense I am related to my father, but I didn’t cause the pain. But knowing that my father caused some pain causes me pain.”

She also admitted that there were signs everyone in Jesperson’s life overlooked, recalling one time during her childhood that he tortured and killed kittens.

“I think I caught a glimpse of the sociopath, the part of where felt in control over me and that he enjoyed it. I got the sense that there was another side to him,” she explained in a 2010 interview with the outlet.

She has gone on to work with others in the same position as her and help people who lost loved ones in unsolved murders.

  • Dennis Quaid Is Serial Killer in Paramount Show

Dennis Quaid stars as the notorious Happy Face Killer, aka Keith Hunter Jesperson, in the upcoming Paramount+ drama series “Happy Face.”

The eight-episode season will premiere on March 20 with two episodes, with weekly drops thereafter. The series is inspired by the true story of Melissa G. Moore, who, at age 15, discovered that her father was the prolific Happy Face Killer. As an adult, Moore has changed her name and guarded her secret as her father serves a life sentence in prison.

In a race against the clock, Moore, played by Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford, must find out whether an innocent man will receive the death penalty for a crime her father committed. In the series, “she discovers the impact her father had on his victims’ families and must face a reckoning of her own identity.”

Jesperson, who is currently serving life without parole at an Oregon penitentiary, murdered at least eight women in the United States during the 1990s. He got his nickname because he often drew smiley faces on his letters to the media and authorities.

James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey also star in “Happy Face,” which is based on Moore’s podcast and autobiography “Shattered Silence,” co-written with M. Bridget Cook.

  • Dennis Quaid, Annaleigh Ashford in ‘Happy Face’ Teaser for Paramount+

The long-in-the-works thriller Happy Face will arrive on Paramount+ in the spring.

The streamer has set a March 20 premiere date and released a teaser for the drama, which stars Annaleigh Ashford (B Positive, Masters of Sex) as Melissa, a woman whose father (Dennis Quaid) is a notorious serial killer known as Happy Face. The show, executive produced by Robert and Michelle King (Evil, Elsbeth), is based on a true story.

In the teaser, Ashford’s Melissa says that “every violent act is a rock dropped in water. If you stay silent, the ripples of trauma just keep pulling everyone they touch underneath.” Watch it below.

Along with Ashford and Quaid, Happy Face also stars James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey. The show is based on the real-life story of Melissa G. Moore; the Happy Face podcast from Moore and iHeartPodcasts; and Moore’s autobiography Shattered Silence, written with M. Bridget Cook.

Paramount+ ordered the series in 2021, and it had been in the works for a year prior to that. Ashford and Quaid boarded the show early last year. The streamer’s description of Happy Face says the show will branch off from Moore’s real-life story and follow Melissa and her father, who, “after decades of no contact, finally finds a way to force himself back into his daughter’s life. In a race against the clock, Melissa must find out if an innocent man is going to be put to death for a crime her father committed. Throughout, she discovers the impact her father had on his victims’ families and must face a reckoning of her own identity.”

CBS Studios produces the series with King Size Productions, iHeartPodcasts and Semi-Formal Productions. Jennifer Cacicio (Your Honor, Shooter) is the showrunner and executive produces with the Kings, Liz Glotzer, Moore, Conal Byrne, Will Pearson, Michael Showalter (who also directed the first episode) and Jordana Mollick.

Paramount+ has released the first teaser for its upcoming comedy series “Happy Face,” starring Dennis Quaid and Annaleigh Ashford. The show follows a father-daughter duo who must navigate life’s ups and downs while running a struggling business together.

In the teaser, we see Quaid as the optimistic but somewhat clueless father, trying to keep his spirits up despite the challenges he faces. Ashford plays his daughter, who is more practical and level-headed as she tries to help her father keep the business afloat.

The chemistry between Quaid and Ashford is undeniable, and their comedic timing shines through in the short clip. With a talented cast and a promising premise, “Happy Face” looks like it will be a must-watch for fans of quirky, heartwarming comedies.

Stay tuned for more updates on “Happy Face” as its premiere date on Paramount+ approaches.

  • Sophie Thatcher & Jack Quaid in Sci-Fi Thriller

“There’ve been two moments in my life when I was happiest. The first was the day I met Josh. And the second was the day I killed him.”

Those lines are uttered at the beginning of the new sci-fi-tinged thriller written and directed by Drew Hancock, and they also appear in the film’s trailer. It’s as good an opening as anything ever written by Dashiell Hammett or Raymond Chandler, and it instantly signals that Companion is going to be a cut above your average suspenser.

    Companion

    The Bottom Line

    Deliciously twisted.

    Release date: Friday, Jan. 31
Cast: Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Lukas Gage, Megan Sun, Harvey Guillen, Rupert Friend
    Director-screenwriter: Drew Hancock

    Rated R,
    1 hour 37 minutes

The storyline revolves around a delicious plot twist that the film’s trailer unfortunately gives away in wanton fashion, so my presenting a spoiler alert seems a bit superfluous. But here it is anyway; the less you know about Companion going in, the better. So, if you want to maximize your enjoyment, best stop reading now.

Still here? So be it, but I’ll try not to give away too much. The film begins with Iris (Sophie Thatcher, Yellowjackets) and Josh (Jack Quaid, The Boys) having a meet-cute in a supermarket. Zip forward to when they’re now a couple, spending a weekend with some friends at what was supposed to be a remote cabin in the woods that turns out to be the palatial digs of shady Russian businessman Sergey (Rupert Friend, enjoyably relishing the thick accent). The other guests are Josh’s friend Kat (Megan Suri, It Lives Inside), now Sergey’s girlfriend, and longtime gay couple Eli (Harvey Guillén, What We Do in the Shadows) and Patrick (Lukas Gage). They all settle in to enjoy the well-stocked home and the gorgeous nearby lake.

That is, until Sergey turns out to be even more of a creep than he initially seemed and sexually assaults Iris, who stabs him to death in self-defense. And that’s when the real plot kicks in, with the revelation that Iris is actually a “companion” robot (one with benefits) and the get-together is actually an elaborate plot devised by Josh and Kat to rob Sergey of the millions in cash stored in his safe.

The film gets even loopier from there, with multiple complications ensuing as Iris demonstrates that she’s no mere docile appliance but rather more than capable of thinking for herself, at least when Josh isn’t programming her via his cell phone. The film delivers even more deliciously nasty surprises along the way as the body count continues to rise.

This is the debut screenplay of Hancock, with the film originally supposed to be directed by horror filmmaker-on-the-rise Zach Cregger, responsible for the surprise hit Barbarian (that film’s producers are involved here as well), who graciously stepped aside to let Hancock take the helm. The tyro director steps up to the plate beautifully, delivering an ingenious, fast-paced horror-thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat while also featuring generous doses of mordant humor. As with the best films of its type, Companion works on more than a surface B-movie level, providing sly satirical commentary about power dynamics in romantic relationships to which more than a few audience members will be able to relate.

Thatcher, a scream queen in the making (she also starred in 2023’s The Boogeyman), delivers a terrific turn in the central role, fully convincing as both human and robot and making her artificial character’s struggle to survive sympathetic. Quaid is equally good as the seemingly perfect boyfriend who turns out to be the villain of the piece, investing his portrayal with a disarming charm, while Guillén and Gage provide sterling support as the sweet couple whose relationship is not quite what it seems.

A potential sleeper hit that belies January’s reputation as a cinematic dumping ground, Companion marks writer-director Hancock as a true talent to watch.

  • Jack Quaid leads deliciously smart comedic thriller

There’s no such thing as a perfect murder.

But the notion of trying to achieve one has provided fodder for countless novels and films, the latest of which is Companion, the wicked new thriller from writer-director Drew Hancock.

When Josh (Jack Quaid) and Iris (Sophie Thatcher) escape for a weekend getaway with his friends, all is not as it seems — and it takes a deliriously unhinged turn when Iris murders their host, Sergey (Rupert Friend), in self-defense.

It turns out Iris is not Jack’s human girlfriend but rather his robot companion. At first, one might expect the film to be another meditation on artificial intelligence — its perils and pitfalls a reflection of our own fears. But that’s a red herring, as is Iris’s unwitting participation in the homicide. Hancock instead tees up a witty evisceration of the fragility of the male ego and the havoc that ensues in the wake of its entitlement.

Quaid is an ideal conduit for Hancock’s constantly surprising tale. His boyish charms are abundant in the film’s early scenes, from the opening supermarket meet-cute to his affection for Iris. As Josh, Quaid easily convinces us he’s merely a bystander in the weekend’s increasingly horrifying events. His ruffled curls and inherited rom-com pedigree help sell the notion of his innocence.

But Josh is altogether more sinister, a man who has purchased a robot built to his exact specifications to be his companion (and, essentially, sex slave). He is the quintessential “nice” guy, a doting boyfriend on the surface who turns to manipulation and abuse when anyone dares to defy what he perceives as his birthright. He doesn’t want a true companion; he wants someone he can control, down to their eye color and the level of their intelligence. As Josh devolves into the worst version of himself, it becomes an open question whether Josh fails to see Iris’s humanity because she’s a robot or simply because she’s a woman.

    Sophie Thatcher in ‘Companion’.

    Warner Bros.

While his performance is one of gradual revelation, Thatcher’s is one of discovery. Fresh off horror thriller Heretic, Thatcher continues to carve a space for herself in the genre with another layered, compelling performance. Iris is blissfully unaware that she’s a robot, even as Hancock’s winking nods to her otherness pervade the opening scenes with a creeping dread. But as she awakens to all the ways she’s been used and controlled, she transforms into a creature of towering anger and intelligence. Thatcher walks this tightrope with ease.

Initially, it is Iris’s eerie and prim sense of calm that signals that everything is not as it seems. Her blunt brunette bangs and vintage-inspired ensembles set her apart from the modernity of Josh and his friends (as does the unsettling fact that the black slash of her meticulous cat-eye makeup never so much as smears, even when she showers or goes to bed). Thatcher nails the Stepford-Wife quality of Iris’s existence without tipping her hand, making her awakening all the more exhilarating. As Thatcher plays her, Iris is an electrical current of a character, at first tightly regulated and controlled until she unleashes the live wire of rage and power at her core.

The rest of the relatively small cast make a meal of their roles as well. Harvey Guillén’s dry wit and biting ripostes serve as an effective mask for his character Eli’s well of loneliness and love. He is well-matched with Lukas Gage, who channels his good looks into the bland niceties of Patrick, a man with his own secrets. Megan Suri breathes fresh life into the conniving gold-digger trope, while Friend enjoys chewing the scenery as the grotesque Sergey.

But all of it works because of Hancock’s whip-smart script and directorial eye for world-building. There’s a whiff of the retro about it all, the way he employs Peter Gabriel and disco needle drops to wash the proceedings with the patina of the domestic bliss of a “simpler time.” Iris’s clothing choices also reflect that, emphasizing the gender roles that Josh prefers.

Jack Quaid and Megan Suri in ‘Companion’.

    Warner Bros.

These choices clash with the modern trappings of the large lake house where the action takes place and the sci-fi concept of the companion robots. Hancock creates a cognitive dissonance by juxtaposing the romanticized past and the cutting-edge technology of the present, placing the audience into a discordant environment.

As a twisty thriller, Companion more than delivers, keeping audiences guessing until the very end. There are clear ties to Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope, with its unraveling of the perfect murder, and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, with its reflection on humanity, science, and what happens when we seek to play god. But most of all the film is an invective against a scourge of entitled white men and the collective toll of misogyny. Iris’s ultimate goal isn’t love or even survival — it’s self-determination. Or put another way, consent — the right to control what happens to her and her body, be it one of flesh and blood or metal and wires.

Genre storytelling has always been a ripe space for exploring potent social and political issues, and Companion is no exception, even if its message gets muddled at times. Hancock’s feature directorial debut is a hell of an invigorating revenge fantasy, made all the more satisfying by its own winking self-awareness. Bathed in a pink-pop glow, its pastiche of romance and horror collide in a viciously mischievous parable of technology and control that speaks to these most anxious times. Grade: B+

Jack Quaid, known for his roles in “The Boys” and “Scream”, is set to star in a new comedic thriller that promises to be both clever and entertaining. Titled “Deliciously Smart”, the film follows Quaid’s character as he navigates a high-stakes game of cat and mouse with a mysterious adversary.

Quaid’s charisma and wit shine through in his performance, delivering sharp one-liners and hilarious moments that keep audiences on the edge of their seats. As the tension mounts and the plot thickens, Quaid’s character must use his quick thinking and resourcefulness to outsmart his opponent and come out on top.

With a talented cast, a clever script, and Quaid’s undeniable charm, “Deliciously Smart” is sure to be a must-watch for fans of smart, comedic thrillers. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!

  • New Novocaine Image Reveals A Panicked Jack Quaid In A Stressful Situation

New Novocaine Image Reveals A Panicked Jack Quaid In A Stressful Situation

This article is part of ScreenRant‘s Exclusive 2025 Movie Preview. Keep an eye out for the full feature next week!

A new image from Novocaine has been revealed. The upcoming 2025 action thriller movie stars The Boys‘ Jack Quaid, who plays Nathan Caine, a bank executive impervious to experiencing physical pain. When his girlfriend (Amber Midthunder) is kidnapped, Nathan puts his ordinary life behind him and decides to use his inability to feel pain in order to save the love of his life. Novocaine‘s cast also includes Ray Nicholson, Betty Gabriel, Matt Walsh, Lou Beatty Jr., Evan Hengst, Conrad Kemp, and Jacob Batalon.

ScreenRant can now share an exclusive first-look image from Novocaine. The image shows Quaid’s character, Nathan, sitting in the driver’s seat of a car and looking alarmed while holding a gun and staring at a laptop. The forefinger on Nathan’s hand in the image is stained with dried blood, which may be his own, or from someone he has recently hurt or killed in the quest to find and save his kidnapped girlfriend. See the full-size image below:

Novocaine Is A Perfect Movie For Jack Quaid

Nathan Is Reminiscent Of The Boys’ Hughie Campbell

With many parallels between Nathan and Quaid’s The Boys character, Hughie, Novocaine looks like the perfect movie for him to star in. Being covered in blood, in a situation that is over his head, and dealing with ruthless individuals is what happens with Hughie in nearly every episode of The Boys. Even Nathan’s motivation, to save his girlfriend, has similarities to Hughie’s initial motivation of getting justice for his girlfriend who was murdered by a supe. In the above image, he may be seeing his kidnapped girlfriend on the laptop, further contributing to his panicked expression.

Nathan will use weapons as seen in the image, but will also engage in hand-to-hand combat, making him more of an action hero than Hughie.

One significant way that Novocaine is distinct from The Boys is that Nathan gets to be the hero and the undisputed star of the story. The Boys is an ensemble series and Hughie is not always at the forefront of it. In Novocaine, Nathan has to rely on himself and his “superpower” of not feeling pain and will be unable to rely on a team of allies like Hughie has in the Prime Video show. Nathan will use weapons as seen in the image, but will also engage in hand-to-hand combat, making him more of an action hero than Hughie.

Novocaine Is One Of 2025’s Most Exciting Action Movies

It Has Multiple Advantages Over Other 2025 Action Movies

While there are many highly anticipated action movies releasing in 2025, most of them are attached to franchises, and feature experienced action heroes. Part of what makes Novocaine exciting is that it is an original story not attached to an ongoing franchise. Nathan is also a compelling draw, as he is a novice at being an action hero, but has a condition that makes him a unique threat. The tense and comedic scenarios that can be built from this are enticing and make Novocaine a must-see movie in 2025.

  • Jack Quaid Talks Companion, Novocaine, The Boys, Biggest Challenges

Jack Quaid Talks Companion, Novocaine, The Boys, Biggest Challenges

Don’t ask Jack Quaid about the twisty storyline in his upcoming movie Companion because he doesn’t want to talk about it. “It’s a movie that is best enjoyed when you go in as blind as possible,” he says.

But mention his new action film Novocaine and the 32-year-old actor — son of icons Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan — could talk for probably hours about the challenges of trying to play someone who can’t feel pain.

“It was one of the hardest I’ve ever worked on, just simply with my body in that movie,” Quaid tells The Hollywood Reporter of playing Nathan Caine. “I think I’m kind of an unlikely person to be an action hero, and that’s what makes Novocaine interesting to me. I don’t think anyone expects me to be kicking ass, and I kick ass in a very specific way in that movie.”

Despite the clearly busy press tours ahead — Companion releases in January, Novocaine drops in March and he also has his new movie Heads of State coming out soon — Quaid just feels “exceptionally lucky” to have worked alongside so many talented actors and “discovered a lot about myself” throughout the process.

Below, Quaid gets candid about growing up in the industry with his famous parents, why people shouldn’t watch the next Companion trailer, how he accomplished playing a person who doesn’t feel pain in Novocaine, the fifth and final season of The Boys and more.

Having grown up with parents working in the industry, how did that help shape the actor you are today? And when did you even realize you wanted to follow in their footsteps?

A lot of people would naturally assume that I wanted to do this because both my parents did it and that didn’t play no part. The biggest benefit I have, among many, from them is that they were proof it was possible to make a living as an actor. I’ve been to drama school and talked with my friends there and most of them have the same story: they told their folks that they wanted to be an actor and their folks said, “I don’t think that that’s the right path for you” or “why don’t you have a backup plan” or any of that? With my parents, I told them I wanted to be an actor and they understood what that meant. They weren’t initially super psyched about it because they knew how tough it was for them, so they were like, “Oh jeez, of course we have another one.” But ultimately, they understood and were very supportive so that I’m super grateful for.

But the real reason I wanted to do this was… I don’t know how I would have survived mentally in the entertainment industry if I didn’t truly love what I did. If I did this just to be a famous person or to have any kind of clout, I would have been done with this a long time ago. I had to find the love of this before I did it.

To kick off your busy year ahead, you have the psychological thriller Companion coming out in January. What initially drew you to the project?

I thought it was one of the best scripts I’d ever read. [Director] Drew Hancock did such a great job crafting that and making a story that I was never sure where it was gonna go the entire time. It’s a very timely story. It’s one of those things that I read, much like The Boys, where I was like, “I have to be a part of this thing.” And I remember meeting with Drew and just being like, “If you want me, I’m yours. This is unbelievable.” And thank God I got to be a part of it because it really was one of my favorite experiences I’ve had as an actor. It has such a great cast in it that I was really lucky to work with, like Sophie Thatcher, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillén, Lukas Gage, Rupert Friend. It was just kind of a murderer’s row that I got to watch work. … I’m very excited for people to check it out. I would implore them, if it is a movie that you are already going to see, try to look up as little about it as you possibly can. It’s a movie that is best enjoyed when you go in as blind as possible. So if you’re already gonna go see it, don’t even watch the next trailer that comes out. Like, please don’t. If you’re still on the fence, watch it and make that decision for yourself.

Is there a film genre you’re typically drawn to and is there one you have yet to dabble with that you would like to in the future?

I love a good thriller. Companion is definitely a thriller. Novocaine is more of an action movie, and that movie was very fun to make, but incredibly physically challenging for me. It was one of the hardest I’ve ever worked on, just simply with my body in that movie. … I think I’m kind of an unlikely person to be an action hero, and that’s what makes Novocaine interesting to me. I don’t think anyone expects me to be kicking ass and I kick ass in a very specific way in that movie. I play a man who can’t feel pain, who has a real genetic disorder called CIPA, congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis. Basically, your nervous system doesn’t allow you to feel pain and it is not a great thing. You think it might be amazing, but a lot of people with this condition don’t make it past 25. They have to blend all their meals and drink it through a straw because they could bite their tongue off and not realize it. So it is a little scary. But it’s about a character who is kind of sheltered and is kind of living in a bubble for his own safety at the beginning, using that to help protect someone he loves. And to be in action scenes where I don’t feel pain and trying not to wince is a very interesting thing because naturally you would react to getting hit a million times and I just don’t in this movie. So that was a really interesting challenge.

And as far as the genre I’d love to play around in more, I’d say an all-out comedy, which we don’t really have as much these days. I wanna get back to the days where we can have just a good, silly comedy with some heart. I’m not saying they don’t exist, I’m saying I want more of them to exist and I want to be in one.

Are you ready to wrap up The Boys with the fifth and final season, and do you feel it’s the right time to end the series?

I think it’s good that we end with season five because we’re ending on our own terms. It’s not like someone canceled us and we’re trying to quickly make a season that feels final. This was always the showrunner’s intention to end with five seasons and I’ve actually known that for a little bit and tried to keep my mouth shut about it [Laughs]. But there’s something great about an ending that’s intentional, and The Boys season five is gonna be crazy. It’s gonna be very messy. I don’t know, I just keep thinking a lot of us are probably gonna die. It’s just going to be insane and I’m excited to see what that entails.

What does your perfect day off look like?

It’s the most boring answer in the world. I would love to just sit around my apartment and do absolutely nothing, like that’s it. I like to go on walks, I will say. I’m a huge walker. I’m simple like that. I live in L.A. and I still walk every day. It just helps me get out of my head. I like to go on a jog. And then other than that, I like to sit in my living room, play video games and do absolutely nothing. A little bit more productive, I do like to write. I’m working on pitching a project right now. I’m writing a screenplay right now. There are things I’m interested in in the entertainment industry besides just acting. I’m in a sketch comedy group and we perform live whenever we can. … But day off-wise, I think I’m just sleeping. I’m a simple creature in that way.

It sounds like you’re trying to make L.A. walkable.

Honestly, that’s my goal. I think I’m a pioneer and I’d like to be acknowledged for that [Laughs].

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve overcome to help get to where you are today?

I think a lot of it is — a lot of actors face this — a certain amount of self-doubt and anxiety. There’s a lot of anxiety to begin with, “Maybe I won’t be able to do this.” And then if you start getting some success, there’s a lot of imposter syndrome. After that, we’re like, “Well, maybe I don’t deserve this.” One of the things I’ve been able to do, hopefully not in a conceded way, is kind of just acknowledge, “OK, I am at least good enough to do this.” … And you’re allowed to have a little bit of confidence, [but] you have to back that up with hard work.

If you had to describe what makes Jack Quaid, Jack Quaid, what would you say?

You know who I am at my core? You go by a used car dealership and you see that wacky, waving, inflatable arm, flailing, tube man… that is me at my core. I don’t think I’m more complicated than that [Laughs]. I’m just this dude blowing in the wind with a lot of limbs.

Jack Quaid, the talented actor known for his roles in projects like “The Boys” and “Scream Queens,” recently opened up about his experience working on his latest film, “Companion,” as well as his upcoming projects “Novocaine” and the highly anticipated third season of “The Boys.”

In a recent interview, Quaid discussed the challenges of portraying complex characters in the dark comedy thriller “Companion,” which follows a young woman who hires a man to be her companion on a road trip to meet her birth mother. Quaid plays the enigmatic and mysterious companion, a role that required him to delve deep into the character’s psyche and motivations.

Quaid also spoke about his role in the upcoming film “Novocaine,” a psychological thriller in which he stars alongside Olivia Munn. He revealed that the film presented him with a new set of challenges, as it required him to tap into his darker side and explore themes of manipulation and deceit.

Quaid teased that fans can expect even more action, drama, and surprises in the upcoming season, which is set to premiere later this year.

Despite the challenges he faced in his recent projects, Quaid expressed his gratitude for the opportunities he’s had to stretch himself as an actor and explore new facets of his craft.
