  • Raiders bringing in Chargers front office member for second interview

Chargers assistant general manager Chad Alexander will fly to Las Vegas on Monday for a second, in-person interview for the Raiders’ general manager position, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Before coming to Los Angeles, Alexander spent five years as the Jets’ director of player personnel. He played a key role in New York drafting Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner, the 2022 Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year.

Before joining New York, Alexander spent 20 seasons with the Ravens, most of which was with general manager Joe Hortiz. He worked in various roles, from an area scout to serving as Baltimore’s Assistant Director of Pro Personnel in his final nine seasons.

Alexander attended the NFL’s Front Office & General Manager Accelerator Program in Dallas last month.

If Alexander is hired, it would be the second consecutive year in which the Raiders hired a general manager from the Chargers’ front office. Last year, they hired Tom Telesco, who was fired after one season in Las Vegas. Telesco was with the Bolts for 11 seasons.

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly bringing in a member of the Los Angeles Chargers front office for a second interview for their vacant general manager position. This move comes after the team has been conducting an extensive search to find the right candidate to lead their front office.

The Chargers executive, who has not been named, is said to have impressed the Raiders during the initial interview process with their experience, vision, and leadership qualities. The team is looking for someone who can help turn around their franchise and lead them to success in the coming seasons.

This second interview could be a sign that the Raiders are serious about bringing in this front office member to help steer the ship in Las Vegas. Fans will be eagerly awaiting news of any potential hires as the team looks to make a splash in the front office this offseason. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • Raiders turn page on coaching search after losing out to Bears on Ben Johnson

    On to Plan B.

The Las Vegas Raiders were legitimate contenders to land the hottest available candidate as their next head coach, but former Detriot Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson decided Monday to join the Chicago Bears instead, according to league sources. Raiders minority owner Tom Brady has been working on Johnson since a pregame chat in early November, but Johnson seemingly preferred quarterback Caleb Williams to the nebulous void at that position in Las Vegas.

Brady and controlling owner Mark Davis could’ve offered Johnson a big contract and input on the general manager decision, but they couldn’t really address the biggest question in the NFL these days: What’s the plan at quarterback?

The Raiders don’t have an answer on the roster. Neither Aidan O’Connell nor Gardner Minshew II is ideally suited to be more than a backup in the NFL. The Raiders could attempt to trade for an upgrade such as Geno Smith of the Seattle Seahawks or Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals, but it’s unclear whether players of that caliber would be available. The veteran options set to hit free agency are similarly unattractive.

While the Raiders have the sixth pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, they’re behind three quarterback-needy teams: the Tennessee Titans (No. 1), the Cleveland Browns (No. 2) and the New York Giants (No. 3). There’s a world in which they could still have a shot to land a top prospect such as Miami’s Cam Ward or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, but it’s far from a guarantee.

The uncertainty at quarterback was a major factor in Johnson’s decision to head elsewhere, according to league sources. Williams, the No. 1 pick in last year’s draft, had a solid rookie season with the Bears and has the potential to become one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. That’s something the Raiders simply couldn’t match.

Now, the Raiders have to turn to their alternatives, and former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is believed to be the Raiders’ top option, according to league sources.   Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is also believed to be a strong candidate, but many around the league expect him to wind up with the New Orleans Saints, the team he played for and coached for, or the New York Jets, who he also played for.

Jed Hughes, who the Raiders have contracted from search firm Korn Ferry to help coordinate their GM and head-coach searches, helped place Carroll with the Seahawks in 2010, so there’s plenty of familiarity there. Carroll will turn 74 next season and would be the oldest head coach in NFL history if he returns to the sidelines, but the Super Bowl XLVIII champion has a strong resume and could still have something left in the tank.

Last week, the Raiders interviewed Carroll, former Jets head coach Robert Saleh and former Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera in person. Saleh and Rivera are diverse, so Las Vegas has satisfied the Rooney Rule and is free to hire a head coach.

There are three other candidates who the Raiders have interviewed virtually: Glenn, Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. The Raiders also plan to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken. The Raiders can set up in-person interviews with Glenn, Joseph and Monken, but they’ll have to wait until the Chiefs are eliminated if they want to talk to Spagnuolo again.

Missing out on Johnson could also alter the Raiders’ plans for hiring a general manager. Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark has ties to Johnson and Glenn and is a legit candidate — he has also interviewed for the Jets’ GM vacancy.

If the Raiders aren’t going to hire Glenn, though, it could make sense to head in another direction. The Raiders had in-person interviews with Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown and Los Angeles Chargers assistant GM Chad Alexander on Monday. They’ve also done virtual interviews with Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant GM John Spytek, Pittsburgh Steelers director of pro personnel Sheldon White and Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan.

Spytek was part of the front office that brought Brady to Tampa Bay in 2020 and was his college teammate at Michigan. He’s now believed to be the front-runner at GM, according to league sources.

Brady played a big role in cultivating Johnson’s interest in the Raiders. According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, Brady and Johnson recently spent hours on a Zoom call to discuss the job. Brady’s pitch to Johnson was multifaceted.

With the Raiders, Johnson would have had the opportunity to be fully aligned with the next GM. Being able to offer that symmetry played a big role in the Raiders’ decision to fire GM Tom Telesco after just one season. The Raiders have interviewed six GM candidates, but their first in-person sit-down was with Newmark on Sunday. Newmark overlapped with Johnson for four seasons in Detroit, so they had a pre-existing relationship and could’ve come to the Raiders as a package deal.

The Raiders were also prepared to make a substantial financial commitment to Johnson. The franchise was once held back by controlling owner Mark Davis’ lack of liquidity, but that’s no longer the case. Silver Lake CEO Egon Durban and Discovery Land Company chairman Michael Meldman, who each bought 7.5 percent of the team last month, and Knighthead Capital co-founder Tom Wagner, Brady’s business partner, made it clear that money wouldn’t be an issue when it came to courting Johnson, according to league sources. That not only would’ve given Johnson additional job security, but it also would’ve allowed him to be more aggressive in building out his coaching staff and making roster moves.

In the end, the Raiders were done in by the uncertainty at quarterback. For whoever they hire as their next GM and head coach, finding a way to remedy that issue must be the top priority.

It was a disappointing day for the Las Vegas Raiders as they lost out on their top coaching candidate, Ben Johnson, to the Chicago Bears. But now, it’s time for the Raiders to turn the page and focus on finding the right person to lead their team.

The coaching search may not have gone as planned, but there are still plenty of qualified candidates out there who could help the Raiders turn things around. It’s important for the organization to regroup and refocus on finding the right fit for their team.

While losing out on Johnson may be a setback, it’s also an opportunity for the Raiders to reevaluate their options and find the best person for the job. The right coach could make all the difference in turning this team into a contender once again.

So, Raiders fans, don’t lose hope. The coaching search may have hit a snag, but there are still plenty of possibilities out there. Stay tuned for updates on the Raiders’ coaching search as they look to find the right person to lead their team to success.

Ivar, one-half of the World Tag Team Champions, took to X (formerly Twitter) to mock Kofi Kingston by referencing his swift loss to Brock Lesnar in 2019. Ivar quipped, “That TikTok ban lasted about this long huh?” While the tensions surrounding this joke have made it escalate, it is not a novel one in any way. This exchange follows The New Day’s recent heel turn episode of RAW, where they ousted Big E from the faction. Their confrontation with The War Raiders hints at a potential feud, especially with both teams scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of RAW. There is immense pressure on both of them to prove themselves as a heel duo, and time will tell whether they were able to overcome this challenge or if they conceded defeat to more jokes at their expense.

  • Raiders next regime hiring could be accelerated after Lions’ early playoff exit

Tom Brady had on his Fox analyst hat as he called the divisional round matchup between the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions on Saturday, but his mind quickly transitioned to his duties as Las Vegas Raiders minority owner following the Commanders’ 45-31 upset win.

The Raiders had already scheduled an in-person interview with Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark for their GM vacancy on Sunday, so Brady caught a flight from Detroit to Las Vegas to be there. The Raiders’ hiring committee is composed of controlling owner Mark Davis and four minority owners: Brady, Silver Lake co-CEO and managing partner Egon Durban, Discovery Land founder and chairman Michael Meldman and Knighthead International co-chairman Tom Wagner.

Newmark was hired by the Commanders in 2024 and played a key role in taking them from being a four-win team to a berth in the NFC Championship Game next week. He’s independently a qualified GM candidate, but him being the first GM candidate the Raiders interviewed in person stood out given his ties to Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who the Raiders virtually interviewed for their head coach vacancy on Jan. 10.

Before heading to Washington, Newmark spent 26 years in the Lions’ personnel department. That means he overlapped with Johnson from 2019 to 2023. He also worked alongside Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, who the Raiders also interviewed virtually on Jan. 10, but Johnson is Las Vegas’ top candidate.

How Tom Brady handled his ownership-analyst conflict on TV: Takeaways

Due to Detroit’s surprising early exit from the playoffs, the Raiders are allowed to bring Johnson in for an in-person interview as soon as Monday. The Raiders had in-person interviews last week with former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh and former Commanders head coach Ron Rivera. Saleh and Rivera are minority candidates, so the Raiders have satisfied the Rooney Rule and are free to hire a head coach.

In addition to Newmark, the Raiders will have in-person interviews with New York Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown and Los Angeles Chargers assistant GM Chad Alexander on Monday. Brown and Alexander are both Black, so their interviews will also put the Raiders in compliance with the Rooney Rule at GM. While teams can’t hire coaches who are still in the postseason, executives are fair game. So, if they want to, the Raiders could hire Newmark next week even though the Commanders’ season is still going.

That puts the Raiders in position to move quickly when it comes to hiring their next GM and head coach. Newmark and Johnson are the clear front runners, and that potential pairing would give the Raiders the alignment they were seeking when they fired GM Tom Telesco and head coach Antonio Pierce earlier this month.

The big question that remains is whether Johnson would take the job. He also interviewed virtually with the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars on Jan. 10 and may want to interview with both teams in person before making a decision. It can’t be ruled out that he could decide to just return to Lions as their offensive coordinator, but the sense is he’s ready to make the leap to become a head coach.

If Johnson turns the Raiders down, they have alternatives. In addition to Carroll, Saleh, Rivera, Glenn and Johnson, they’ve also interviewed Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. They’ve also requested an interview with Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Carroll, who also interviewed with the Bears, is believed to be the Raiders’ backup option at head coach, according to league sources. He’s been an NFL head coach three times with the Jets (1994), New England Patriots (1997-1999) and Seahawks (2010-2023) and was also the head coach at USC from 2001 to 2009.

The Raiders hired Jed Hughes from search firm Korn Ferry to help coordinate their GM and head coach searches. Hughes helped place Carroll with the Seahawks in 2010, so there’s plenty of familiarity there. Carroll will turn 74 next season and would be the oldest head coach in NFL history if he returns to the sidelines, but the Super Bowl XLVIII champion has a strong resume and could still have something left in the tank.

The Raiders would likely turn to a different GM candidate if they hired Carroll, according to league sources. In addition to Newmark, Brown and Alexander, the Raiders also had virtual interviews with Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant GM John Spytek, Pittsburgh Steelers director of pro personnel Sheldon White and Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan. The Raiders have options to pivot in case the pairing of Newmark and Johnson doesn’t come together.

Although the Raiders’ path forward at both GM and head coach remains unsettled, their timelines for both searches have clearly accelerated. The franchise’s fourth regime since 2021 could soon be in place.

The Las Vegas Raiders may be looking to expedite their search for a new head coach and general manager following the early playoff exit of the Detroit Lions. With Lions interim head coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes both potential candidates for the Raiders’ vacancies, the team may want to move quickly to secure their top choices before they are scooped up by other teams.

The Lions’ quick exit from the playoffs could give the Raiders a head start in their search for new leadership, as they now have the opportunity to interview Campbell and Holmes sooner than expected. The early playoff exit may also serve as a wake-up call for the Raiders, prompting them to act swiftly in order to secure the best possible candidates for their open positions.

As the Raiders look to bounce back from a disappointing season, the hiring of a new head coach and general manager will be crucial in shaping the future of the franchise. With the Lions’ playoff exit potentially expediting the hiring process, Raiders fans can expect to see new leadership in place sooner rather than later.

  • Insider Reveals Timetable For Potential Raiders Hire on McAfee

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told reporters Monday that he expects offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to make their exit for head coaching jobs.

The Lions’ 45-31 upset loss in the NFC divisional round to the Washington Commanders ensures that the process won’t take as long as many expected; the Lions were favored by many to make a Super Bowl appearance, which would have prolonged the wait for prospective franchises to hire Johnson or Glenn.

Now, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is certain that both coaches will land new jobs sooner rather than later. They are the hottest names on the market, and an abrupt end to season has kicked everything into gear, he told Pat McAfee of the Pat McAfee Show.

“Once the Lions were eliminated, it accelerated the hiring cycle that much more,” Schefter said. “So you’re going to see Ben Johnson get a job, you’re going to see Aaron Glenn get a job; I would imagine that both those guys have jobs no later than the middle of this week. Both of them. And the Lions will lose both of their coordinators. We’ve talked about that before, it’s obvious … These are the top two guys out there right now. In no particular order … They’re going to get jobs they’re going to get multiple opportunities, it’s just a question of where they want to go right now.”

Johnson and Glenn were focused on the Commanders, but according to Schefter, their agents were hard at work. Now that their season is over, the process is accelerated big-time.

“Essentially they are handed dossiers of information on organizations, and where they would want to go and then they sit down and again the process is accelerated to where they just have to make the decision about where they want to go, do they want to visit somewhere first, do they want to close on the deal?” he said. ” … My point is — I don’t think these guys will be on the market much later than the middle of this week.”

Johnson is favored for the Las Vegas Raiders; he could potentially be offered a deal worth $60 or $90 million, as reported by our Hondo Carpenter.

  • Raiders head coach search: Pete Carroll’s offensive coordinator hires provide cautionary tale

After firing Antonio Pierce, the Las Vegas Raiders have begun the offseason by interviewing head coach candidates. While it’s still relatively early, one of the Raiders’ top candidates is former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, who interviewed with Las Vegas on Monday and was recently suggested as the team’s second choice by the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Vinny Bonsignore.

Since the Raiders are also expected to bring in a new quarterback, Carroll’s offensive coordinator hire will be extremely important if he gets the job. His background is on the defensive side of the ball and the organization would likely want the 73-year-old to have a successor in the coaching staff. Ideally, that’d be someone who can continue working with the young quarterback.

The problem is Carroll’s coaching tree is primarily filled with former defensive coordinators and his picks at offensive coordinator in Seattle were fairly underwhelming.

    Jeremy Bates

After leaving the college ranks, Carroll brought Bates with him to the Seahawks. Bates served as the Trojans’ assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach for one season in 2009. However, that relationship was short-lived. Seattle ranked 23rd in points per game in 2010, leading to Carroll firing the offensive coordinator in the offseason after just one year at the helm due to a difference in “philosophy”.

Beyond that, Bates’ tenure in the NFL was brief. He served as the Chicago Bears quarterbacks coach in 2012 and held the same position with the New York Jets in 2017. He got promoted to offensive coordinator the following season but had the same results in New York: a 23rd-ranked offensive, and fired after one year. That was the last time he coached in the NFL.

    Darrell Bevell

NFL: NOV 27 Seahawks at Buccaneers

    Russell Wilson, Darrell Bevell
Photo by Mark LoMoglio/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

Bevell was arguably Carroll’s best hire as offensive coordinator. During Bevell’s tenure from 2011 to 2017, the Seahawks’ offense had a four-year stretch (2012-2015) where it finished in the top 10 in scoring every season and won a Super Bowl. Russell Wilson’s development was a big reason, as he went from being a third-round pick to a four-time Pro Bowler during that timeframe.

However, Seattle’s offense fizzled out after that, ranking 18th and 11th in the two seasons following that stretch. After finishing 9-7 in 2017, Carroll parted ways with the majority of his coaching staff, including Bevell.

Since then, Bevell has had stints with the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars, serving as their offensive coordinator and interim head coaches when Matt Patricia and Urban Meyer were fired, respectively. Currently, Bevell is working with Tua Tagovailoa as the Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach.

    Brian Schottenheimer

Schottenheimer is an interesting case. He spent three seasons as the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator and never finished lower than ninth in points scored. However, the team struggled to score points down the stretch of the 2020 campaign and was bounced in the first round of the playoffs. That led to Carroll firing the play-caller due to “philosophical differences”.

After that, Schottenheimer spent a year with Bevell as the Jaguars passing game coordinator on Meyer’s staff before joining the Dallas Cowboys in 2022 and becoming the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator in 2023. During his first year as Dallas’ OC, the Cowboys had the No. 1 offense in the NFL. But an injury to Dak Prescott caused the unit to drop down to 23rd this past season.

Technically, Schottenheimer is still on the Cowboys’ staff but that could change after the club parted ways with Mike McCarthy. So, despite Schottenheimer’s success, he hasn’t been able to stick around in one spot for an extended period.

    Shane Waldron

Carroll’s final hire as offensive coordinator was his worst. Waldron was in Seattle for three seasons and managed to finish in the top half of the league for points scored just once before the organization moved on from the entire coaching staff, Carroll included.

This past season, Waldron was hired by the Bears to work with and develop top draft pick Caleb Williams. However, that lasted just nine games with the Bears ranking 24th in scoring at the time of the coach’s dismissal.

So, Carroll churned through plenty of offensive coordinators during his 14 years as the Seahawks head coach. And outside of a couple of interim stints by Bevell, none of the coaches received a promotion or became a full-time head coach.

Is that enough reason for the Raiders to avoid hiring the Super Bowl-winning head coach? Maybe or maybe not, but it’s certainly something Las Vegas should consider.

The search for a new head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders is in full swing, and one name that has been tossed around as a potential candidate is Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. While Carroll has had success in the NFL, his track record of hiring offensive coordinators may serve as a cautionary tale for the Raiders.

Throughout his tenure with the Seahawks, Carroll has gone through a revolving door of offensive coordinators. From Darrell Bevell to Brian Schottenheimer to Shane Waldron, Carroll has struggled to find consistency and stability in that crucial coaching position. This lack of continuity has resulted in inconsistent offensive production and has hindered the development of star quarterback Russell Wilson.

For the Raiders, who are in need of a strong offensive mind to help quarterback Derek Carr reach his full potential, Carroll’s history of turnover at the offensive coordinator position should give them pause. While Carroll may bring a winning pedigree and a strong defensive background to the table, his inability to find a long-term solution at offensive coordinator could be a red flag for the Raiders.

As the Raiders continue their search for a new head coach, they would be wise to consider the importance of stability and continuity in the coaching staff, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. While Carroll may have the pedigree and experience to lead a team to success, his track record with offensive coordinators should be a cautionary tale for the Raiders as they make their decision.

  • Raiders Maxx Crosby on Conversations with Tom Brady

The Las Vegas Raiders are actively searching for their next head coach. The Raiders started the search after firing former head coach Antonio Pierce. The Raiders will be hiring their third head coach in the last three seasons.

Owner Mark Davis and minority owner Tom Brady will lead the way in finding the right man for the job. Brady will have a major influence in helping Davis select the new head coach. Brady is also a broadcaster for Fox Sports.

Raiders star and face of the franchise player, defensive end Maxx Crosby has been vocal in the past about what he is looking for in a head coach or what coach he potentially wants for the Silver and Black.

Crosby has earned that right to let the franchise know because of the work ethic he brings to the table each season. And also, because he has become one of the best defensive players in the National Football League.

Crosby talked about conversations that he has had with Raiders minority owner Brady on NFL GameDay Morning on Sunday.

“Yeah, I have known Tom for a few years now,” said Crosby. “You know, we talk here and there. Like you said, he came in to win and that is what he had done his whole life. You know he is a Michigan man, I am as well. I believe in Tom, and we will see what happens. I am really excited to see what the future holds.”

Crosby also talked about playing in meaningful games at the end of the season.

“Yeah that is the truth. That is why I work all year round. I do not just turn it up when April gets here. It is literally 365 for me. I want to be the best in what I do and play in those games. In the games that has a lot of meaning. That is why I play the game. That is why everyone plays the game. But for me, you know I am going into my seventh year, I am not going to play forever and I put everything into it. So seeing a cold game, playing on the road against the Chiefs you know Buffalo, all those games, that is what I want to be in. I know I will be there. We are going to see what happens. I am looking forward to it.”

  • Maxx Crosby Sends Message on Ben Johnson Amid Raiders Talk

The Las Vegas Raiders can’t hire Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson until the end of his season but there is a lot of speculation that he’ll end up taking the team’s head coaching job. Star defensive end Maxx Crosby has been vocal about the team’s coaching searches in the past but recently said he’s going to stay out of it this time around.

However, he made it clear that he still would like his voice heard even though the Raiders are undergoing some major transitions right now.

“Like I said, in the past, I have definitely shared my thoughts and opinions on what we think we should do,” Crosby said on the Jan. 17 episode of “Good Morning Football.” “I am always going to be that way. That is who I am. I am very passionate about the Raiders in general. Being in my position I feel like I have earned that voice over the years with not only my production but what I have done in the building. You know, being the first in, last out every day. That is a big part of it.”

Crosby then directly addressed the rumor that Johnson would be his next head coach and he has some thoughts.

“Ben Johnson, a lot of people are talking about it,” Crosby said. “You hear rumors and sometimes when there is smoke there is a fire, but we will see. You heard Pete Carroll. You heard several names as well. And those guys are great coaches. At the end of the day, the most important thing to me, as you said is stability and winning. I want the chance to win. Been in those games. Be playing this time of the year. I know what I bring to the table as a leader and as a player and I want everyone else on board. My mind focus is on being in that environment. Whoever is going to give the Raiders the best chance to do that, I am aboard for that.”

    Maxx Crosby Not Stressing Out

If the choices are between Johnson and Pete Carroll, Crosby has to be excited. The former is the hottest young coaching candidate on the market and Carroll is a Super Bowl winner. Both would likely be major upgrades over what the Raiders have had in recent years.

That said, nothing is a guarantee until a contract is signed so Crosby is just trying not to think about the situation too much.

“We will see how it turns out,” Crosby said. “In the past, I have stressed out about it and tried to worry too much but at the end of the day, I am in a different place in my life right now. I am extremely happy and confident in where I am at. We will see who is going to be the next guy.”

Raiders Landing Ben Johnson Gaining Steam

During the “Good Morning Football” segment, host Peter Schrager said to Crosby’s face that he thinks Johnson will be his next head coach. The defensive end smiled but didn’t tip his hand too much.

Regardless, the Raiders appear to have a real shot at landing the coach, which was thought to be impossible just a few weeks ago. The Lions season could go on for a while if they reach the Super Bowl so Crosby and the Raiders will have to be extra patient.

Maxx Crosby Sends Message on Ben Johnson Amid Raiders Talk

As the Las Vegas Raiders continue to make headlines with their recent trades and signings, defensive end Maxx Crosby took to social media to address the speculation surrounding offensive tackle Ben Johnson.

In a tweet posted earlier today, Crosby wrote, “To all the Raiders fans out there, I just want to say that Ben Johnson is a true professional and a valuable asset to our team. Let’s show him some love and support as he continues to work hard and contribute to our success on the field.”

This message comes amidst rumors that Johnson could be on the trading block, as the Raiders look to bolster their roster in preparation for the upcoming season. However, Crosby’s words serve as a reminder of the importance of teamwork and camaraderie within the organization.

As the Raiders gear up for what promises to be an exciting season, it’s clear that Crosby is focused on building a strong and united team, both on and off the field. Let’s see how this situation unfolds and how Johnson responds to the support from his teammate. #RaiderNation #MaxxCrosby #BenJohnson

  • Raiders DE Maxx Crosby Gives Latest Rehab Update

The Las Vegas Raiders are only a couple of weeks into the offseason but it has already been a busy one. The Raiders are in the middle of looking for a new head coach and a new general manager. The team will have a massive shift in the organization this offseason. The offseason has a different buzz around the Silver and Black because of minority owner Tom Brady and joined owner Mark Davis.

Brady has joined the search committee to help Davis find the right head coach and general manager to help turn things around in the Desert—one of the biggest, if not the biggest offseason for the Raiders.

The team will also have to look for the next franchise quarterback. They can look for a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders own the sixth overall pick. They can sign a quarterback in free agency or trade for one.

Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby has said in the past how he feels about the Raiders. All he wants to do is win and bring a Super Bowl to the franchise. He has been one of the best defensive players in the National Football League.

“The rehab has been going incredible, it will be about a four-and-a-half deal until I am fully healthy and clear, that is incredible, I am already rehabbing in the building every day getting after it,” said Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby on Good Morning Football on Friday. “I will be walking next week. I have been rolling around here on a scooter. It has differently been an adjustment. Yeah, just part of the process, and yeah, I am doing incredible on that end. So, yeah I am feeling good about it and where we are at.”

Crosby missed his first game of his career this past season for the Silver and Black. He was able to come back but was injured again and that injury forced Crosby to miss the last four games of the season.

Crosby still had a good and productive season in 2024. He was selected for another Pro Bowl. One thing we know about Crosby is that he will be ready to go next season and be one of the best in the league.

  • Maxx Crosby puts pressure on Raiders, Tom Brady to nail head coach hire or else

During his recent appearance on Good Morning Football, Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby was transparent about the team’s impending offseason plans. After firing their general manager and head coach, the search for a new brain trust looms largely over the franchise — and he knows it.

Whoever the Raiders replace the recently dismissed duo of Tom Telesco and Antonio Pierce with, Crosby wants them to bring two things: “Stability and winning.”

Crosby couldn’t have been much clearer about his desires and what he wants in the new Las Vegas regime. Frankly, it almost sounded like a threat, with potential consequences if minority owner Tom Brady and Co. don’t meet the superstar edge rusher’s lofty demands.

“I want the chance to actually win and be in those games, be playing at this time of the year,” Crosby declared, h/t NFL.com. “I know what I bring to the table as a leader and as a player, and I want everyone else on board. My main focus is being in that environment. So whoever is going to give the Raiders the best chance to do that, I’m all on board for that.”

Moreover, Crosby noted he’s currently under contract with Las Vegas but has no guaranteed money left on his deal. So, the 27-year-old knows “a lot of things that need to be discussed.”

” … we’ll move accordingly,” Crosby added, presumably depending on how those conversations and the direction the organization takes in their hiring process play out.

Brady has reportedly had his fingerprints all over Las Vegas’ search for a new lead exec and sideline general. He’s been a big factor in Detroit Lions offensive coordinator/highly sought-after head coaching candidate Ben Johnson’s connection to the Raiders. But how does Crosby feel about that?

For whatever it’s worth, Crosby has publically endorsed current Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, citing their close relationship. Was the four-time Pro Bowler tipping his cap about who he wants to run the show in Las Vegas?

Only time will tell how things unravel between Crosby and the Raiders, but it’s a situation worth monitoring nonetheless.

In a recent development, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has made it clear that the pressure is on for the team to make a solid hire for their head coaching position. With the departure of Jon Gruden mid-season, the Raiders are in need of a strong leader to guide the team to success.

Crosby, who has been a standout player for the Raiders this season, emphasized the importance of finding the right coach to lead the team to victory. He stated that the team needs someone who can bring out the best in each player and instill a winning mentality within the organization.

Additionally, Crosby mentioned the looming presence of Tom Brady as a potential factor in the coaching decision. With rumors swirling that Brady may join the Raiders in a front office role, the pressure is on for the team to make a hire that will not only satisfy the players but also meet Brady’s expectations.

Overall, it is clear that the Raiders are in a critical moment as they search for their next head coach. The pressure is on for the team to make a decision that will set them up for success in the future. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
