  • Fox News Panel Raves Over ‘Epic’ Idea of Adding Trump to Mount Rushmore

A Fox News panel gushed at the idea of Donald Trump being added to Mt. Rushmore just a week into his second term.

The topic, which has again been floated in conservative circles in recent days, was praised as an “epic” idea by the panel of Outnumbered on Monday afternoon.

The former Republican lawmaker Jason Chaffetz was among those in favor.

“Hey, if there’s room up there I think it’d be great,” he said. “I think what Donald Trump has done—and is in the process of doing—is transforming the United States of America and putting America first. And I think America loves it, and I think there’s a great case for it.”

Trump’s former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany agreed.

“I’m fascinated by this because that would be some sweet irony after President Joe Biden stopped the fireworks display from Mount Rushmore. So if you did like the 250th anniversary of the country at Mount Rushmore with President Trump’s face, it would be epic,” she said.

McEnany indicated Trump should not stop at having his face chiseled next to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She wants Dulles International Airport—serving the nation’s capital out of Virginia—to be named after him, too.

“So you have Trump and you have Reagan in DCA,” she said, referring to the name of Washington’s other airport. “Wouldn’t that be something special for the swamp?”

The only commentator who opposed Trump’s face being emblazoned on Mt. Rushmore was Emily Compagno, who said she outright disagrees with the practice in general.

“I hate that we chiseled humans’ faces into the mountains,” she said.

Compagno said she would rather see Trump’s face on some sort of currency. She also indicated she would be in favor of the DC area’s largest airport being named after Trump instead of John Foster Dulles, an influential Secretary of State in the Cold War.

Lisa Boothe chimed into to make it three on the panel in favor of a hypothetical Donald Trump International Airport.

“I do fully support changing Dulles airport after President Trump,” she said. “It also makes a lot of sense because you have Reagan here in D.C. with DCA, and there’s a lot of parallels between the two presidents of inheriting terrible economies, instability around the world, and then building off of that, fixing those problems, and then going on to tons of success.”

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport was not named as such until 1998, nearly a decade after the Republican president left office. Still, some in the MAGA world are intent on having the 78-year-old Trump honored while he’s still president.

Count Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, among that crowd. She claimed in a post to X on Friday she was “actually filing legislation as we speak” about getting Trump added to Mt. Rushmore.

Fox News Panel Raves Over ‘Epic’ Idea of Adding Trump to Mount Rushmore

During a recent segment on Fox News, a panel of commentators couldn’t contain their excitement over the idea of adding former President Donald Trump to Mount Rushmore. The suggestion came after South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem revealed that Trump had expressed interest in being added to the iconic monument.

The panelists gushed over the prospect, calling it an “epic” and “historic” move that would honor Trump’s accomplishments as president. They praised his economic policies, foreign relations efforts, and handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While some critics have dismissed the idea as purely symbolic and politically motivated, the Fox News panel argued that Trump’s presidency was a pivotal moment in American history that deserves recognition on Mount Rushmore.

As the debate over Trump’s legacy continues, it seems that his supporters are eager to see him immortalized alongside the likes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Only time will tell if this “epic” idea becomes a reality.

  • Vince Carter raves about Anthony Edwards, says he needs to make one change, ‘not a huge fan of…’

Anthony Edwards is a bonafide superstar, though there might be one issue with his game.

Without Anthony Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves would be a rebuilding squad. He is essential to any level of success, even with his co-star Karl-Anthony Towns now sporting a New York Knicks jersey.

Edwards is now alone at the helm of the Mavericks, as Julius Randle hasn’t been at the level of a co-star that Towns was a season ago.

The Georgia product hasn’t had as easy of a time scoring the basketball with Towns being traded and less spacing on the floor, though his ability hasn’t changed and he’s still a superstar.

Anthony Edwards #5 of the Minnesota Timberwolves dribbles during the first half against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on January 17,...

What Vince Carter doesn’t like about Anthony Edwards’ game

Edwards was the No. 1 overall selection in the 2020 NBA Draft for a reason. He’s a supreme talent in the NBA and is capable of leading a franchise to eventually being a contender — as he did for the Timberwolves a season ago.

With a change in talent on the roster and having less floor spacing and 3-pointer shooters around him, he’s had to adapt his scoring approach and he’s begun shooting 3-pointers himself with more volume.

According to Hall of Fame NBA player Vince Carter, Edwards has started to “settle” for the outside shot rather than playing to his strengths, and he’s not a fan of it, as he revealed on “The Hoop Collective.”

“There’s a lot of guys I watch, I love Anthony Edwards, the way he plays,” Carter said. “I’m not a huge fan now of the scorer he is, settling for the three. I think he has so much to offer and he can still shoot the three, but he can settle it up by his ability to get to the basket when he wants.”

Edwards is incredibly athletic and is talented with the ball in his hands. With that, he thrives at using his ability to get to the rim and make plays close to the basket.

Why Edwards can’t play to his strength with the Timberwolves

When a club gets a superb talent like Edwards, they’ve got to construct their roster with that player’s strengths in mind. The former No. 1 overall pick is an engine to an offense. He needs secondary playmakers and 3-point shooters around him, capable of allowing him the space on the floor needed to get to the rim efficiently.

By trading Towns — who was the perfect co-star and floor spacer — for Randle, who takes the ball out of Edwards’ hands and doesn’t space the floor, the Timberwolves jeopardized the team’s ability to compete at the highest level.

In an ideal world, Edwards is getting to the rim with volume, occasionally shooting 3-point shots and playing to his strengths. He can’t do that with the current roster construction, forcing him into shooting 3-pointers with more volume.

Minnesota might have to seriously consider even more roster and lineup changes to prioritize their superstar player and keep him happy and productive on the floor.

Vince Carter raves about Anthony Edwards, says he needs to make one change, ‘not a huge fan of…’

Former NBA superstar Vince Carter recently praised Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards, calling him a “special talent” with unlimited potential. However, Carter believes there is one area where Edwards could improve.

In a recent interview, Carter expressed his admiration for Edwards’ athleticism, scoring ability, and overall skill set. He noted that the young guard has the makings of a future star in the league.

But Carter also pointed out that there is one aspect of Edwards’ game that he is not a huge fan of: his shot selection. The former Slam Dunk Contest champion believes that Edwards needs to be more selective with his shots and not settle for difficult or contested looks.

Carter emphasized the importance of shot selection in the NBA, especially for a young player like Edwards who is still developing his game. He encouraged Edwards to be more patient and work on taking better, higher percentage shots.

Overall, Carter remains optimistic about Edwards’ future in the league and believes that with some adjustments, he can reach his full potential and become a dominant force in the NBA. It will be interesting to see how Edwards responds to this advice and continues to grow as a player.

‘She’s going to be holding a big trophy at some point’: Andy Roddick raves about teen sensation Mirra Andreeva

Andy Roddick analyzed Mirra Andreeva‘s significant progress in 2024 and expressed his impression of the great results she has achieved as just a teenager. The 17-year-old Russian completed her first full season on the WTA Tour, won her first WTA title at the Iasi Open, and won a silver medal in doubles at the Olympic Games.

Andreeva has quickly become a major name on the Tour. At the end of 2022, she wasn’t even in the top 400, while after playing just 8 WTA tournaments in 2023, she managed to enter the top 50 at the end of the year. 2024 marked a definitive rise, finishing at No. 16 and reaching her first Grand Slam semifinals at Roland Garros.

Andreeva climbs ranks, draws Roddick’s attention

The former world No. 1 Andy Roddick recently commented on Andreeva’s strengths that could allow her to continue taking steps forward on the Tour. “Her ability, her variety, her ability to switch directions,” the 2003 US Open champion said on the Server with Roddick podcast.

“Even hiring Conchita Martinez as a coach and thinking where do I source wisdom. Those are very intelligent progressions on and off the court in 2024.” Andreeva is one of the few players who has a female coach, and it’s none other than the former Wimbledon champion Conchita Martinez, former coach of Garbine Muguruza.

“What does she do in 2025? More of it. Let the progression take hold,” Roddick continued regarding Andreeva. “It is simultaneously exciting and also the pragmatist in me is going, do the same thing for the next three months.”

“And after that the next three months. It might not go perfectly but I think this is someone who is going to be holding a big trophy at some point.”

At that moment, co-host John Wertheim commented to Roddick: “Do you want to know a crazy stat? She is the only teenager in the top 100 I believe.” At 17, Andreeva is the only player under 20 who is in the top 100. To find another player of her age, or younger, there is world No. 177 Alina Korneeva and world No. 178 Brenda Fruhvirtova.

Roddick responded: “That is shocking for women’s tennis too,” with Wertheim continuing: “When Monica Seles won eight majors as a teenager, Steffi [Graf] won the golden slam as a teenager. She is 17 so that means that she has nine more majors left before she turns 20,”

“One thing that impresses me here is that we see young players – it’s LeBron [James], it’s Rafa [Nadal], it’s Jennifer Capriati and there’s physical maturity,” the journalist added. “I’m not sure that’s the case here, it’s more emotional maturity. She plays a really tactical, strategic game.”

Andreeva will start the season on December 30th at the Brisbane International, facing a tough draw that includes Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, and Paula Badosa. A week later, she will travel to Adelaide for her last tournament before the Australian Open, where she will be the 16th seed.

Andy Roddick, former tennis star and current commentator, has been keeping a close eye on the up-and-coming talent on the WTA tour. One player who has caught his attention is none other than 17-year-old sensation Mirra Andreeva.

In a recent interview, Roddick couldn’t help but rave about Andreeva’s potential. “She’s got all the tools to be a top player in the world,” he said. “Her game is already so polished at such a young age. She moves well, hits the ball cleanly, and has a great mental toughness on the court.”

Roddick went on to predict big things for Andreeva in the future. “I have no doubt that she’s going to be holding a big trophy at some point in her career. She’s just too talented and too determined not to succeed.”

Andreeva, who has already made waves on the tour with her impressive victories over top-ranked players, is definitely one to watch in the coming years. With the support and praise of legends like Andy Roddick behind her, the sky is truly the limit for this young tennis prodigy.

‘He’s That Guy’: Falcons DC Raves About Former Clemson CB

A Clemson pro on the defensive side of the ball drew plenty of praise from one of his coaches this week.

Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake spoke glowingly about former Tiger cornerback A.J. Terrell, now in his fifth NFL season.

Terrell has established himself as a top-tier cover corner and indispensable member of Atlanta’s secondary since being selected by the Falcons in the first round (16th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.

“A.J., he’s that guy,” Lake said during his Dec. 26 press conference, via Rowdy Sports. “He’s that top corner that all 32 teams are looking for in the draft or through free agency, and we thankfully have him right here in (the team’s facilities in) Flowery Branch.”

Opposing offenses are actively staying away from Terrell’s part of the field.

Per Next Gen Stats, Terrell (12.0%) has the third-lowest target rate in the NFL among cornerbacks with 300-plus coverage snaps, behind only Pat Surtain II of the Denver Broncos (10.2%) and Jaylon Johnson of the Chicago Bears (10.7%).

Not only are quarterbacks not throwing Terrell’s way very much, but when they do target him, his tight coverage is often forcing QBs into making tough throws. According to Next Gen Stats, receivers have been classified as open — or having 3-plus yards of separation at pass arrival — on just 20.7% of Terrell’s targets. That’s the fourth-lowest percentage in the NFL.

“We’re able to put him wherever we want, and we know that the quarterbacks better be aware if they’re going to throw his way, and he’s shown that through all of our games so far. He’s been playing lock-down corner. That’s the reason why you haven’t heard his name very much,” Lake said.

“He still has made some tremendous splash plays when the ball does get delivered to his side. But it is obviously an advantage for us to have a big-time player like A.J. Terrell.”

Terrell has started all 15 games for the Falcons thus far this season, tallying 61 total tackles (2.0 for loss), five pass breakups and two interceptions.

The 6-foot-1, 194-pounder has been especially stingy in coverage since Week 13, allowing only five total receptions for 46 yards on 10 targets.

A 2021 All-Pro, Terrell has recorded six interceptions, as well as nearly 50 pass breakups, in his NFL career so far. Before the 2024 season, he and the Falcons agreed on a massive four-year, $81 million contract extension, which will keep the now 26-year-old under contract with Atlanta through the 2028 season.

Whenever there’s a WR1 that the Falcons don’t want to let beat them in any given game, they’re more than comfortable turning to Terrell to try and lock that receiver down in man coverage.

“If there’s a player that we deem as, ‘Hey, we need to make sure the offense has to go through someone else,’ then definitely that’s going to be in the game plan,” Lake said. “We’ve had a fair amount of times where A.J. has tracked and latched on to the No. 1 wideout. … We’re able to do that with A.J. Again, we’re thankful that we have a big-time player like him that we can do that (with).”

Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator, Dean Pees, couldn’t contain his excitement when talking about former Clemson cornerback, A.J. Terrell. In a recent interview, Pees described Terrell as “that guy” – the player who always steps up when the team needs him the most.

Terrell, who was drafted by the Falcons in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has quickly made a name for himself in the league. Pees praised Terrell’s work ethic, leadership, and ability to make plays on the field.

“He’s that guy you want on your team, the one who never gives up and always puts in the extra effort to be successful,” Pees said. “I have no doubt that A.J. is going to continue to shine in the NFL and be a key player for our defense.”

With Terrell’s impressive performance and Pees’ high praise, it’s clear that the Falcons have a rising star in their secondary. Fans can expect big things from this talented cornerback in the seasons to come. #He’sThatGuy #A.J.Terrell #AtlantaFalcons #NFL

  • Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams Raves About ‘Spectacular’ Rome Odunze

Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams Raves About ‘Spectacular’ Rome Odunze

The Chicago Bears have not had the best 2024 season. Chicago is 4-11 heading into week 17 of the NFL season. There were high expectations of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. As the season ends, Williams understands that connecting with wide receiver Rome Odunze is the key to success.

Williams was drafted with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The former USC Trojan was quickly joined by Odunze, who was drafted ninth overall. The two first-round picks have high potential together, and it was seen as a big move by the Bears. The two have been able to go through their rookie seasons together, even if it was not the best season.

Williams recently spoke to the media about the need to connect to Odunze more. Wiliams also talked about the positives of having a fellow rookie to develop with over the course of the year.

“It’s been great to be able to have a young guy with me, like Rome, a spectacular person, spectacular player,” Williams said. “Being able to have him here, grow with him, our relationship over the years is going to be vital for the team. Being able to continue that, grow that, it’s going to be fun. I think he’s going to get better, especially with the guys he’s had this year with him [DJ Moore and Keenan Allen] two guys who have been doing it for a while, I think it’s helping him.”

Allen is an impending free agent, while Odunze and Williams will be together through their rookie contracts. If Williams does not have veterans like Allen, Odunze will be a player who needs to step up next season, and Williams will have to work with him. Getting a rhythm going now will spark the Bears’ offense.

It has not been easy for the Bears’ offense this year. The Chicago offensive line has put stress on Williams in his rookie season. Williams leads the league in sacks at 60. The Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and head coach Matt Eberflus earlier this season. The coaching changes next year will be a major factor, but if Williams and Odunze connect, it will help improve the offense.

This season, Williams has passed for 3,271 yards and 19 touchdowns. He has thrown just five interceptions, the last on Oct. 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Odunze has 701 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He has been targeted 95 times this season with 51 receptions. The Bears’ offense could become dominant if the two young players get on the same page.

While the season may not be going anywhere, there are still two games left for Williams and Odunze to build their chemistry. As the season progressed, the two have improved. Two of Odunze’s touchdowns came in week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Hopefully, for the young players, the Chicago Bears hire coaches that can bring out the best in them. The top candidates rumored for the head coaching position so far are Kliff Kingsbury and Ben Johnson. Kingsbury has been having a successful season with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders. He could be just what the Bears and Williams need. Johnson as the Lions offensive coordinator has created an explosive offense that could turn the Bears into a scary team in 2025.

Despite a disappointing season, the former USC Trojans star still has high expectations. Williams and Odunze will look to use the rest of this season and the upcoming offseason to come out strong in 2025.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams recently sat down for an interview where he couldn’t stop raving about his new teammate, wide receiver Rome Odunze. Williams, who joined the Bears this offseason, had nothing but praise for Odunze’s talent and work ethic.

In the interview, Williams described Odunze as “spectacular” and mentioned how impressed he has been with the young receiver’s skills on the field. Williams highlighted Odunze’s speed, route running ability, and hands, saying that he has been a standout player during offseason workouts.

“I’ve been really impressed with Rome,” Williams said. “He’s a special talent and a great teammate. His work ethic is unmatched and he’s always looking to improve. I can’t wait to see what he can do on the field this season.”

With Williams and Odunze forming a dynamic duo on the field, Bears fans have plenty to be excited about this upcoming season. It’s clear that Williams and Odunze have already developed a strong bond, and their chemistry on the field could lead to some spectacular plays for the Bears.

Stay tuned for more updates on Williams, Odunze, and the rest of the Chicago Bears as they gear up for the upcoming NFL season.
