  • Philly fans react accordingly to viral Maxx Crosby tweet with Eagles emoji

The Las Vegas Raiders are about to embark on a new era with Pete Carroll taking over as head coach.

Whether superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby wants to be along for that ride will be a talking point throughout the new league year.

Crosby’s name figures to come up often in trade speculation leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft in April. And the 27-year-old with 59.5 sacks over six pro seasons is sure to ignite plenty of fodder after posting a cryptic tweet on Saturday afternoon.

“I Will Be A Champion” read the tweet, which ended with a curious choice of emojis: an eagle and a diamond.

With the Philadelphia Eagles gearing up to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX next week, you can imagine the response Crosby’s choice of emoji drew from Philly fans.

“If you force a trade to the Eagles you will,” one fan responded to Crosby’s post.

Adding fuel to the fire: The Eagles have a major projected need at pass rusher entering the 2025 season. The Super Bowl will likely be veteran Brandon Graham’s final game in the NFL, starter Josh Sweat’s contract is about to expire, and the team is likely to seek an exit plan from $51 million blunder Bryce Huff.

The Eagles have a star-studded offense, led by Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith. They also have several rising stars on defense in Jalen Carter, Zack Baun and rookies Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Obviously, adding Crosby to this mix would make life absolutely miserable for opposing QBs.

While Crosby talked up Barkley and the Eagles on a recent podcast, none of this is based in any form of reality at this point. The Eagles aren’t courting Crosby a week before they play in the Super Bowl, and Crosby’s next tweet will likely be him trolling fans over what his eagle emoji was meant to represent. He has used the eagle emoji in a variety of contexts, including when discussing his Serbian heritage.

Still, the timing is certainly curious. For now, Eagles fans can dream: Both for a Super Bowl title on Feb. 9 and one of the best pass rushers in football possibly hinting interest in their team.

Philadelphia Eagles fans are known for their passion and dedication to their team, so it’s no surprise that they had a strong reaction to a recent viral tweet from Las Vegas Raiders player Maxx Crosby. The tweet, which featured a photo of Crosby in an Eagles jersey with the caption “Fly Eagles Fly,” quickly spread across social media, sparking a wave of responses from Philly fans.

Many Eagles fans were quick to embrace Crosby’s support, responding with an outpouring of Eagles emojis and messages of gratitude. Some fans even went as far as to declare Crosby an honorary member of the Eagles family, welcoming him with open arms.

Others, however, were more skeptical of Crosby’s sudden allegiance to the Eagles, questioning his motives and expressing doubt about his sincerity. Some fans even went so far as to warn Crosby that he better be prepared to back up his words with actions on the field if he truly wants to earn the respect of Eagles fans.

Overall, the reaction from Philly fans to Crosby’s viral tweet was a mix of excitement, skepticism, and curiosity. Whether Crosby’s support for the Eagles is genuine or just a playful gesture, one thing is for sure – Eagles fans are always ready to rally behind their team, no matter who is wearing the jersey. • Kelsea Ballerini, Noah Kahan React to Losing to Beyoncé

Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan aren’t crying cowboys over this Grammys loss.

After the “Cowboys Cry Too” singers lost the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance over Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus’ “II Most Wanted,” ahead of the 2025 ceremony they proved they weren’t letting the Recording Academy’s pick of the Cowboy Carter track get the best of them.

Kelsea, all dressed up for the 67th ceremony at Crypto.com Arena, cheekily filmed herself as she asked Noah in a Feb. 2 Instagram Story, “What does it feel like to lose three awards for the same song?”

To which Noah replied, “You weirdly start to kind of like it. I’m on a losing high right now—woohoo!”

The “Stick Season” singer’s response prompted Kelsea—who has been dating Chase Stokes since 2023—to throw her head back and laugh as the duo made their way to the red carpet. And she added to her fans, “See you at the Grammys!” (See everyone on the red carpet here.)

Before signing off, the “Miss Me More” singer gave her fans a thumbs up and a big smile, proving she also wasn’t too pressed about losing the category.

Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan recently took to social media to express their reactions after losing to Beyoncé at a music awards show.

Despite being nominated in the same category as Queen Bey, the duo fell short of taking home the coveted award. However, both artists showed grace and humility in defeat, congratulating Beyoncé on her well-deserved win.

Kelsea Ballerini tweeted, “Losing to Beyoncé is a pretty good consolation prize if you ask me. Congrats Queen B! #musicawards #beyonce #gracefulloser”

Noah Kahan also shared his thoughts on Instagram, writing, “It’s an honor just to be nominated alongside such incredible talent. Congrats to Beyoncé on the win, well-deserved! #musicawards #beyonce #grateful”

Fans of both Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan commended them for their gracious reactions and showed their support for the artists. Despite not winning, they have proven that they are true class acts in the music industry.

  • ‘Jeopardy!’ Champ Makes Narrow Final Jeopardy Miss: Fans React

It all came down to a single syllable on Jeopardy!‘s Tournament of Champions quarterfinal on Thursday (January 30).

The episode featured Tennessee political organizer Will Stewart, Ohio-based systems administrator Ryan Manton, and Washington software engineer Mehal Shah competing for a coveted spot in the semifinals, and they all came to play.

Things got off to a solid enough start for Shah, who nabbed the first Daily Double and correctly identified hummingbirds as the answer to the clue, “These avians can rotate their wings to generate lift while flapping both up & down, enabling them to hover in the air.” He had a couple of incorrect answers but still led the pack at the halfway mark with $4,200 to Manton’s $4,000 and Stewart’s $2,200.

Then, the second round saw Stewart and Manton soar past Shah to nearly double his score each. Manton nabbed both Daily Doubles and got both right. (In the category “Communication,” he correctly named Estonian as the answer to, “The Baltic-Finnic languages include Finnish & this national language spoken due south across the Viro Strait,” and doubled his $7,400. Then in the category “Authors,” he knew that Babbitt was the character described as, “Sinclair Lewis created this guy, a symbol of materials conformity; Matthew Broderick played him on stage in 2024.” For the latter, though, he only wagered $100.)

Heading into Final Jeopardy, Will Stewart and Ryan Manton were neck and neck with $14,900 and $14,400 respectively, with Mehal Shah trailing behind with $7,400. The latter was still very much in it, though, so Final Jeopardy was clutch, especially given the closeness of the two highest scores — a miscalculated wager could change the dynamics entirely.

In the category “Latin Phrases,” the Final Jeopardy clue was: “After Camillagate, a fire at Windsor Castle & marriage problems in her family, Queen Elizabeth II dubbed 1992 this.” The answer, of course, is annus horribilus, and only Shah seemed to know it… but there was a big problem. He misspelled his answer by writing, “What is an Annus Horriblis?” and because the typo also removed a syllable from the answer, it was counted as wrong.

Shah had wagered $7,001, which meant if he’d just gotten the other “i” in there, he would’ve won. Alas, Manton (who incorrectly guessed “What is annum no grata”) wagered small and lost just $501, leaving him with $13,899 and a ticket to the semifinals because Stewart’s incorrect answer (“What is anno terribilis”) was much more costly at a loss of $14,900 and a total score of $900.

After the episode, Stewart took to Reddit to lament his Final Jeopardy results, writing, “My high school Latin teacher liked my Facebook post about my appearance on this episode. I’ve already mentally composed a heartfelt apology for letting him down.”

Meanwhile, fans on the same thread pointed to the rule book to assure other viewers that the decision to mark Shah’s answer wrong — despite him clearly knowing the answer — was the right move on the producers’ part. Referencing the official rule that while incorrect spelling doesn’t invalidate an answer, it still needs to be “phonetically correct and not add or subtract any extraneous sounds or syllables,” one commenter wrote, “Leaving out the middle ‘i’ in ‘horribilis’ drops a syllable. The show was correct to rule against Mehal’s response.”

Another added, “Ugh, one of those ‘tough but ultimately fair’ rulings for the FJ response…. I think the debate over this clue is more if it should have been in this ToC or Masters instead.” The user went on to say, though, “Will definitely deserves kudos for leading before FJ, and Mehal was this close to a come from behind win. All three players definitely made it a close game!”

The recent episode of Jeopardy! had fans on the edge of their seats as reigning champion, Sarah, narrowly missed the final Jeopardy question. After a close game throughout the entire episode, Sarah found herself in the lead going into the final round.

The final Jeopardy category was American History, a topic Sarah had studied extensively. With only a few seconds left on the clock, she confidently wrote down her answer. However, when the results were revealed, it was clear that Sarah’s response was incorrect, costing her the game.

Fans took to social media to express their shock and disappointment at Sarah’s narrow miss. Some praised her for her impressive performance throughout the episode, while others couldn’t believe she had missed such a crucial question.

Despite the loss, Sarah remained gracious and thanked her competitors for a tough match. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to compete on such a prestigious game show and vowed to continue studying and improving for future appearances.

Jeopardy! fans will surely be eagerly awaiting Sarah’s next appearance on the show, hoping to see her redeem herself and continue her winning streak.

Criticism is escalating over what the Federal Aviation Administration knew all along about those mysterious drones that triggered high anxiety in communities across New Jersey in November and December.

Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden expressed disappointment after the White House revealed on Tuesday, Jan. 28 that many of the drones flown in large numbers over the state were authorized by the FAA.

The White House claimed they were for research and various other reasons.

“They should have told the American people,” Sheriff Golden said. “It’s not fair. And certainly they could have quelled it. Somebody from the FAA certainly had to see all the national reporting that was going on, and could have made the phone call. They didn’t.”

According to Golden, this lack of communication meant that numerous law enforcement agencies were kept in the dark about the drones and an unnecessary deployment of resources.

The Ocean County Sheriff’s department launched its own drone surveillance.

Call volume at its 911 center spiked about 50% higher than normal.

“We always tell, the federal government, law enforcement, if you see something, say something. Well, they should have said something,” Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy said.

The National Aerospace Research and Technology Park is situated next to the FAA’s Tech Center in Egg Harbor Township.

The president of the park said he can’t speak specifically to the recent drone activity but says current research at the park involves new approaches to how radar is used.

“The next phase of aviation will involve a degree of autonomous flight,” NARTP president Howard Kyle said. “Radar provides the sort of coverage you need to direct aircraft that might be flying autonomously.”

Monmouth County’s Sheriff says he’s pushing for congressional hearings on how all this was handled and for policy changes to make the notification process more transparent with better coordination.

An FAA spokesperson directed questions to the White House which did not respond to NBC10’s request for comment.

  • New York City officials react to immigration raids

New York officials criticized President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts in the city on Tuesday, following raids in multiple locations

“What I’m hearing is that we are creating a level of hysteria, not just in my district but [in] the city. I’m hearing from parents that they’re not taking their kids to school because they’re scared because they think ICE is going to show up and families feeling like they’re going to be ripped apart,” City Councilwoman Althea Stevens said, reacting to immigration enforcement activity in her Bronx district.

    What You Need To Know

    • New York officials criticized President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts in the city on Tuesday, following raids in multiple locations
    • Officials say the raids have heightened fears in immigrant communities despite deportations targeting those committing violent crimes
    • Mayor Eric Adams and Gov. Kathy Hochul showed support for the activity

Although the arrest was targeting a specific person, it still has rattled residents and officials.

“At this point there are a lot of people who just do not feel safe,” Stevens said.

“These raids in the Bronx were nothing short of spectacle. We saw political theater to scare people,” Councilwoman Alexa Avilés said.

Avilés, who chairs the Council’s Committee on Immigration, said that local lawmakers are committed to protecting immigrants, including strengthening the city’s sanctuary city law.

“This is going to affect everyday New Yorkers. This is not just a new arrival situation, 40% of our New York City population [is] immigrants. So I think we are in for very dark days.,” she said.

In a statement, Mayor Eric Adams said the raids were part of a larger interagency task force that included coordination of the city’s police department with federal partners.

Adams supported Tuesday’s enforcement efforts saying, in part, “As I have repeatedly said, we will not hesitate to partner with federal authorities to bring violent criminals to justice — just as we have done for years. Our commitment to protecting our city’s law-abiding residents, both citizens and immigrants, remains unwavering.”

The governor also showed support for the raids.

“My understanding is that they had specific names of people that committed crimes, serious offenders, and those are exactly the people that we want removed from the state of New York,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said.

Despite claims that violent criminals are being prioritized, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that others — even with no criminal activity inside the country — will be targeted.

“The individuals who committed heinous acts in the interior of our country and who have terrorized law abiding American citizens absolutely those should be the priority of ICE but that doesn’t mean the other illegal criminals who enter our nation’s borders are off the table.,” Leavitt said.

“That’s the problem with Trump administration. They are all over the place. They cannot differentiate between a violent felon who will be arrested, tried, convicted and deported and someone on a bad day who may have jumped the turnstile,” Rep. Adriano Espaillat said.

Espaillat said the vague information coming from the White House is troubling.

“If you cannot differentiate between those two, I think you’re confused. Of course, confusion in a mass deportation scheme is not a good thing. And that’s why this has turned not just sloppy but inhumane.,” he said.

The raids come as Adams continues to be out sick and while he has carefully avoided saying anything critical about the president.

In response to recent immigration raids conducted by ICE in New York City, officials are speaking out against the actions and expressing their support for immigrant communities. Mayor Bill de Blasio condemned the raids, stating, “We will not stand by and watch as our immigrant neighbors are targeted and torn apart from their families. New York City is a sanctuary city, and we will continue to protect and defend our immigrant population.”

City Council Speaker Corey Johnson also voiced his opposition to the raids, saying, “These aggressive and unnecessary actions are causing fear and distress in our communities. We must stand together and show solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters.”

In addition, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized the raids, tweeting, “These raids are cruel and inhumane. We must fight back against the Trump administration’s anti-immigrant policies and protect our immigrant communities.”

As tensions continue to rise over immigration enforcement in New York City, officials are working to support and protect the rights of all residents, regardless of their immigration status.

  • All stars fans react to season 10 winner Sammy entering the show

Love Island: All Stars season 2 is currently underway and has introduced several bombshells to the villa. It aired its latest episode on January 28, 2025, and shared a glimpse of two new cast members set to enter the villa.

This included season 10 winner Sammy Root and Danielle Sellers who previously appeared in season 3 in 2017. Fans of the ITV reality show commented on a previous winner entering the show as a bombshell during the All-Stars season and were unhappy.

“So apparently Sammy is going back into the villa this week and I just wanted to remind people of the most shocking, gobsmacking, jaw dropping, most absurd and absolutely disbelievable moment in love island history,” one person wrote on X.

“Sammy.. winning the show with someone you didn’t even find attractive and then wanting another go… how greeeeeeedy,” a fan commented.

“They just be letting anyone into the house, how are you an all star and no one remembers who you are ?!? Also Sammy please why are we being subjected to this again,” a tweet read.

Fans of Love Island: All Stars season 2 criticized production for not bringing in a potential match for Catherine.

“So you guys can bring Sammy for Elma straight after she breaks up with Ronnie but this whole season you guys couldn’t bring someone for Catherine?” a person wrote.

“love island producers have something against Catherine. they bringing in someone for everyone BUT catherine. it’s obvious they brought in sammy for elma, leaving Catherine single and potentially dumped in the next recoupling,” a fan commented.

“I d take a knife to my eye over Sammy as the “guy for me” – that man is a pro at faking it to win. Elma d be better off being Ronnie´s back-up, than Sammy´s “first”. He gonna lose her number the moment they are out and the brand deals aint calling anymore,” a tweet read.

Fans of Love Island: All Stars season 2 further said:

“Sorry producers I have had enough. WHERE ARE THE BLACK MEN? Sorry this just isn’t good enough. Sammy f*cking Root? We cannot be serious? NOBODY is that desperate,” a person wrote.

“i’m convinced the producers are purposely choosing the most insufferable people to go on all stars because why on gods green earth am i watching sammy on my tv for a second time,” a fan commented.

“Not a fan of uptight people”— Sammy Root shares red flags ahead of Love Island: All Stars season 2 entry

Love Island: All Stars season 2 is set to include two new cast members to the list of islanders during its upcoming episode, set to air on January 29, 2025. Sammy Root and Danielle Sellers‘ upcoming appearances were teased at the end of Tuesday’s episode.

The two commented on their journeys on the franchise so far and their hopes about their time on Love Island: All Stars season 2. The Sun reported on 28 January, 2025, that Sammy was asked about seeing familiar faces in the villa. The upcoming bombshell said that while he was excited to see them, he didn’t know what to expect.

“It could be fun or it might be awkward,” he added.

He also opened up about how he had changed over the years, and said that he initially thought looks were more important than someone’s personality. The Love Island: All Stars season 10 cast member stated he wanted to now find someone that was “outgoing, adventurous, happy,” and a “jolly person” he could have fun with.

“I’m not a fan of uptight people,” He said.

The reality star continued that he wanted to be with someone who wouldn’t care about what people thought about him and could have fun.

Fans of Love Island: All Stars commented on Sammy’s upcoming role on the show and were unhappy to see the season 10 winner return to screens.

Tune in on January 29, 2025, to see what happens when Sammy, along with season 3 alum Danielle Sellers, enters the villa in Love Island: All Stars season 2.
