    Catherine, the Princess
of Wales, will be attending a Holocaust Memorial Day event in the UK this
    afternoon.

It was already known that Prince William would be at the
memorial, but it’s been announced that Catherine will be there alongside him,
as she continues her return from ill-health.

The event will bring together religious and civic leaders, as
well as survivors of the Holocaust.

The royals have been very committed to these commemorations.
King Charles is taking part in the memorial at Auschwitz in Poland.

Queen Camilla, at a reception last week hosted by the Anne Frank
Trust, delivered a strong speech about the need to prevent prejudice.

“Today, more than ever, with levels of antisemitism at their
highest level for a generation; and disturbing rises in Islamophobia and other forms
of racism and prejudice, we must heed this warning,” said the Queen.

“The deadly seeds of the Holocaust were sown at first in small
acts of exclusion, of aggression and of discrimination,” she said.

Holocaust survivors gathered in London today to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the infamous concentration camp where over one million people were killed during World War II. Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the memorial service, listening to the harrowing stories of survivors who recalled the horrors they endured at the hands of the Nazis.

As the world commemorates International Holocaust Remembrance Day, it is crucial to remember the atrocities that took place during this dark chapter of history. The survivors who spoke at the memorial shared their heartbreaking experiences of losing loved ones, enduring starvation and torture, and witnessing unspeakable acts of cruelty.

Prince William and Kate expressed their solidarity with the survivors, laying a wreath in memory of the victims of the Holocaust. They listened attentively to the stories of survival and resilience, honoring the courage and strength of those who lived through such unimaginable horrors.

As we reflect on the past and pay tribute to those who lost their lives, let us also remember the importance of standing up against hatred, intolerance, and discrimination in our own time. The lessons of the Holocaust must never be forgotten, and we must continue to work towards a more inclusive and compassionate world for all.

  • Walmart Broth Recall Update As FDA Sets Risk Level

Broth sold in Walmart in nine U.S. states has been recalled and given a “Class II” risk level by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Great Value Chicken Broth was recalled by TreeHouse Foods, Inc., British Columbia, Canada, due to potential for packaging failures that could compromise the sterility of the product, resulting in spoilage.

The recall was initiated on December 11, 2024, and the risk classification was set on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

According to the FDA’s website, a “Class II” recall means: “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

Newsweek has approached TreeHouse Foods for comment via email.

If packaging is compromised, bacteria, yeasts and molds can contaminate food products, compromising quality and safety.

Sometimes we can tell that food has spoiled, from how it looks, tastes or feels in our mouths, but other times differences may be undetectable but still potentially harmful.

Great Value Chicken Broth by Treehouse Foods, Inc., has been recalled due to a packaging failure. The failure could compromise the sterility of the product, resulting in spoilage. The table contains information about the product name, product code, lot code, best by date and risk class.

The broth was sold in Walmart stores in nine U.S. states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

The broth had “best if used by” dates of March 25, 2026, and the lot code “98F09234” printed on the packaging.

There were two possible—almost identical—unique product codes (UPC) too; the retail unit UPC was “007874206684” and the case UPC was “078742066844.”

A map shows the nine U.S. states where recalled chicken broth by TreeHouse Foods were sold in Walmart stores. The recall was called over packaging failures that could result in spoilage.

This is not the only recall recently issued by TreeHouse Foods. Various gluten-free organic waffles, sold under Nature’s Path brand but manufactured by Tree House Foods, were recalled in October.

This is because the waffles may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, bacteria that can cause serious or life-threatening infections in some people.

A spokesperson for TreeHouse Foods previously told Newsweek in an email: “In October 2024, TreeHouse Foods announced a voluntary recall of all griddle products manufactured at our Brantford, Ontario, Canada facility.

“The frozen toaster waffle, Belgian waffle and pancake products were recalled due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

“We have no confirmed reports of illness or injury linked to the recalled products. As of January 2025, the Brantford facility has undergone a hygienic restoration and is once again producing griddle products for our customers.”

Sriracha chili sauce was recalled in December by Mr. Bing Foods Inc. over fears the hot sauce had been contaminated with spoilage organisms.

Attention Walmart shoppers, an update on the recent broth recall has been released by the FDA. The FDA has officially set a risk level for the recalled broth products sold at Walmart stores.

Customers who have purchased any broth products from Walmart are urged to check the FDA website for a list of the specific products affected by the recall. The FDA has determined that these products pose a potential health risk due to contamination issues.

It is important to note that Walmart is working closely with the FDA to ensure the safety of its customers. The company is taking all necessary steps to remove the recalled products from shelves and provide refunds to affected customers.

We encourage all Walmart shoppers to stay informed and take necessary precautions to protect their health and safety. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing situation.

  • Chelsea recall Trevoh Chalobah from Crystal Palace loan

Chelsea have recalled centre-back Trevoh Chalobah from his loan at Crystal Palace as they look to bolster their defensive options for the second half of the season.

Chalobah, 25, had made 14 appearances for Palace under Oliver Glasner this season but now moves back west across London with Enzo Maresca’s team in the midst of a slump in their league form.

Chelsea had emerged as surprise title contenders before a run of five Premier League games without a win that has left them 10 points behind Liverpool having played a game more.

Sources had told ESPN that Maresca and Chelsea were considering a move for Marc Guéhi, Chalobah’s partner at the heart of the Palace defence, though the loan recall makes any move for the England international considerably less likely.

“He [Chalobah] wants to stay here but it’s a decision that Chelsea can take to call him back,” Glasner said of the then-impending decision in a news conference on Tuesday. “We are passengers, we are not the pilot who is flying the plane.”

Maresca described Chalobah as “a good player” at a news conference of his own last Friday, but refused to comment further as he was a Palace player, and now the Italian coach has moved to fill the holes left by injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoît Badiashile.

Reece James scored his first goal in nearly two years to rescue a point for Chelsea against Bournemouth on Tuesday. They will hope to return to winning ways against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.

Chelsea Football Club has made the decision to recall defender Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Crystal Palace. The 22-year-old had been impressing during his time with the Eagles, making 18 appearances in all competitions.

Chalobah, who is the younger brother of Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, has been a key player for Crystal Palace this season, helping them to climb up the Premier League table. His performances have caught the eye of Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who has decided to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.

It is unclear what role Chalobah will play at Chelsea, with the club already having a number of talented defenders in their squad. However, his versatility and ability to play in multiple positions could see him given opportunities to impress in the first team.

Chelsea fans will be excited to see Chalobah back at the club and will be hoping that he can continue his development and make an impact in the first team. Stay tuned for updates on Chalobah’s future at Chelsea.

  • Trevoh Chalobah: From Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ to emergency recall

Photographs from Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Friday appeared to support Maresca’s description of Chalobah’s “happy” demeanour.

But each transfer window must bring a sense of de ja vu for Chalobah, having been made available for sale in the past three.

Nottingham Forest had a bid accepted at £25m on deadline day in September 2023, when Chalobah was first put on the market, but the player ultimately rejected the move.

Chalobah was up for sale again in the January 2024 window, but no-one met the £25m asking price, despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

The England Under-21 international then battled his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s first team and was the starting centre-back at the end of the 2023-24 season – only to be made available for sale again this summer, with Pochettino sacked.

Again no substantial, permanent offer came and he joined Palace on loan minutes before the summer transfer window closed.

Glasner was told hours before Palace beat Stockport in the FA Cup third round that a “contractual issue” meant he could not play Chalobah, leaving his squad a man short.

On 13 January he told media that Chalobah “wants to stay” – a claim corroborated by BBC Sport from several sources close to the player.

However, a phone call on 14 January from sporting director Paul Winstanley convinced Chalobah that a return to play at Stamford Bridge would be productive, with a prominent role to be expected in the coming weeks.

That conversation followed an earlier, unplanned meeting with Winstanley, his co-sporting director Laurence Stewart and co-owner Behdad Eghbali at Selhurst Park after the 1-1 draw between Palace and Chelsea earlier this month.

Chalobah had walked into the away dressing room after the match to speak with friend Reece James and ended up talking to the three executives.

Palace haven’t criticised Chelsea and accept the terms of the initial agreement made on deadline day in the summer.

Trevoh Chalobah: From Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ to emergency recall

Trevoh Chalobah’s journey at Chelsea has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. The 22-year-old defender was once considered surplus to requirements and was even banished to the club’s infamous ‘bomb squad’ – a group of players deemed surplus to requirements and forced to train away from the first team.

However, Chalobah has turned his fortunes around in remarkable fashion. After impressing on loan at French side Lorient last season, the young defender was recalled to Chelsea in January due to a defensive crisis at the club.

Since his return, Chalobah has been a revelation. He has put in a series of solid performances at the heart of Chelsea’s defense, showcasing his composure on the ball, aerial prowess, and defensive nous. His standout performance came in Chelsea’s crucial Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, where he put in a commanding display to help his side secure a vital victory.

Chalobah’s rise from the ‘bomb squad’ to becoming an integral part of Chelsea’s first team is a testament to his character, determination, and talent. His emergence as a key player for the Blues has been a pleasant surprise for many Chelsea fans, who are now eagerly anticipating what the future holds for this promising young defender.

  • Robert Downey Jr. & Anthony Michael Hall Recall Brief ‘SNL’ Run

After 50 years of pushing the boundaries of network television, Saturday Night Live has birthed countless talents across multiple generations.

Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Michael Hall recently looked back on their brief run on the NBC sketch comedy show during the infamous Season 11, which ran from 1985 to 1986 and served as creator Lorne Michaels‘ attempt to refresh the show after Eddie Murphy‘s exit.

“I’m proud to be a part of it. It was like an out-of-body experience,” said Hall on the Peacock docuseries SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, recalling “just being shocked” at being the show’s youngest cast member at 17 after SNL “meant so much to me as a kid growing up in New York.”

Downey Jr. recounted his best friend and Weird Science co-star bringing him the opportunity. “Michael Hall said to me, I’m gonna go do SNL. I’m gonna get you an audition and I bet you’re gonna get yourself on the show too,” he said.

Hall joked he’s “still waiting for that bastard to repay a favor, 40 years later. Come on Iron Man, you got it in ya.”

The Oscar-winning MCU star added, “I learned so much in that year about what I wasn’t. But there’s not a more exciting 90 minutes you could have, whether you are any good or not.”

Although Season 11 of SNL also featured such comedy legends as Damon Wayans, Joan Cusack, Randy Quaid, Jon Lovitz, Al Franken and Nora Dunn, it’s largely considered one of the worst seasons, forcing Michaels to get rid of many of the cast ahead of Season 12.

“I wanted to go younger. I perhaps went too young, but I wanted to go younger,” said Michaels, adding: “The Baby Boomer generation had dominated the show for 10 years, so I decided to clean house.”

Hall acknowledged, “When I look back I have some memories of it being difficult, I think, for a lot of the writers to figure out how to write for this kid. I think it was a big challenge.”

With all four episodes of SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night now available to stream on Peacock, SNL50: The Anniversary Special will air Sunday, Feb. 16 at 8pm ET on NBC and Peacock.

Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Michael Hall recently sat down to reminisce about their brief stint on iconic sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live.” The two actors, who were both part of the cast during the 1985-1986 season, shared some behind-the-scenes stories and reflected on their time on the show.

Both Downey Jr. and Hall were relatively young at the time and were still in the early stages of their careers. Downey Jr. was just 20 years old when he joined the cast, while Hall was 17. Despite their youth, both actors impressed audiences with their comedic talents and versatility.

During their time on “SNL,” Downey Jr. and Hall appeared in a number of memorable sketches and characters. Downey Jr. showcased his knack for impressions, taking on roles such as Albert Einstein and Michael Dukakis. Hall, on the other hand, brought his signature energy and wit to characters like Ronald Reagan and Johnny Rotten.

While their time on “SNL” was short-lived, Downey Jr. and Hall look back on their experience fondly. They credit the show with helping them hone their craft and develop their comedic chops. And although they have since moved on to other projects, their time on “SNL” will always hold a special place in their hearts.

Overall, the reunion between Downey Jr. and Hall serves as a reminder of the talent and camaraderie that made “Saturday Night Live” such a beloved institution. Fans of the show will no doubt appreciate the trip down memory lane as these two actors reflect on their brief but impactful time on the iconic sketch comedy series.

  • Ducks Recall Nikita Nesterenko

    Ducks Recall Nikita Nesterenko

The Ducks announced they’ve recalled forward Nikita Nesterenko from AHL San Diego. Since there were two open spots on the active roster, no corresponding move was required.

Nesterenko, 23, comes up from the minors for the first time this season after winger Brock McGinn landed on injured reserve last weekend. The New York native gives Anaheim an extra forward for their two-game road swing through Canada in case another injury strikes their group up front.

Nesterenko has played in 12 NHL games, all with the Ducks in the previous two seasons. The Boston College product has two goals and a -3 rating, averaging 12:51 per game. While a natural center, he’s been deployed almost exclusively at left wing in his brief NHL looks, losing all three of his faceoffs. He’s tended to positively impact the Ducks’ poor possession game in his small NHL sample, helping Anaheim control 44.4% of shot attempts at 5-on-5 compared to only 41.4% without him.

A sixth-round pick by the Wild back in 2019, Nesterenko arrived in Orange County at the 2023 trade deadline when Anaheim sent John Klingberg to Minnesota. Nesterenko, who was wrapping up his 34-point junior season with BC, signed his entry-level deal a few weeks later and joined the Ducks for the stretch run. The 6’2″, 183-lb forward has spent most of his time in San Diego since turning pro, scoring 21 goals and 49 points in 99 appearances for the AHL club. He has 12 points and a -9 rating through 29 games this season, ranking seventh on the team in scoring.

Nesterenko gives the Ducks a decent enough bottom-six option to insert into the lineup if another injury outside of McGinn’s or Trevor Zegras’ arises over the next couple of days. Nesterenko, who will remain waiver-exempt regardless of how long his recall lasts, will presumably be returned to San Diego when Anaheim returns home from its trip. He’ll be a restricted free agent again next summer, this time with arbitration eligibility, after spending a couple of weeks on the closed market last July before inking a two-way pact.

The Ducks have announced the recall of forward Nikita Nesterenko from their AHL affiliate. Nesterenko, a highly touted prospect, is expected to provide a boost to the team’s offense as they push for a playoff spot. Stay tuned for updates on his debut with the Ducks. #GoDucks #NesterenkoRecalled

The concept of Total Recall, made famous by the 1990 sci-fi film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is no longer just a far-fetched idea. With the rapid advancements in technology, the E-Memory revolution is upon us, and it is set to change everything.

Imagine being able to remember every detail of your life with perfect clarity. From your first kiss to your last meal, every moment stored and easily accessible at the touch of a button. This is the promise of E-Memory, a technology that allows individuals to record and store their memories digitally.

But what does this mean for society as a whole? How will the E-Memory revolution impact our relationships, our work, and our sense of self?

For starters, the way we interact with one another will be forever altered. No longer will misunderstandings or forgotten conversations plague our personal and professional relationships. With E-Memory, every word spoken, every gesture made, will be preserved for eternity. This level of transparency may lead to greater trust and understanding among individuals, but it could also lead to a loss of privacy and the erosion of personal boundaries.

In the workplace, E-Memory has the potential to revolutionize productivity and efficiency. Imagine never forgetting a crucial piece of information or a key detail from a meeting. With E-Memory, employees can access past conversations, presentations, and data with ease, leading to better decision-making and problem-solving.

On a personal level, E-Memory raises questions about the nature of memory and identity. If our memories are no longer stored in our brains but on a digital platform, does that change who we are as individuals? Will we become more reliant on technology to remember our own lives, or will E-Memory enhance our cognitive abilities and improve our overall well-being?

The E-Memory revolution is not without its challenges and ethical dilemmas. Issues of data security, consent, and the potential for manipulation and abuse must be carefully considered as this technology becomes more widespread.

In the end, Total Recall and the E-Memory revolution have the power to transform every aspect of our lives. Whether for better or for worse, the impact of this technology will be profound and far-reaching. It is up to us to navigate this brave new world with caution, curiosity, and an open mind.
