Locatelli ha detto: “Oggi dobbiamo essere umili e uomini. Al di là della prestazione oggi dobbiamo vincere”.
“Sì, oggi è una partita importante, giochiamo contro una squadra che ha messo in difficoltà tantissime squadre soprattutto i trasferta, perchè difendono molto bene. Ma per noi oggi vale la vittoria, dobbiamo andare a cercarla, dobbiamo giocare bene, dobbiamo difendere bene, essere squadra e alla fine avere il risultato che vogliamo che è la vittoria”.
Quali tasti hai toccato? Che occhi hai visto nei tuoi ragazzi?
“Oggi abbiamo Renato dietro, sarà la sua prima partita dopo poco tempo con noi, ma è un ragazzo che si è messo subito a disposizione della squadra, sono convinto che darà un grande aiuto. A centrocampo abbiamo cambiato qualcosa, perchè abbiamo bisogno di giocatori che riescono anche ad andare in area, a riempire l’area. Apriremo il campo da una parte con l’esterno. dall’altra hanno l’opportunità di cambiare posizione per non dare riferimento all’avversario e attaccare bene l’Empoli”.
Weah gioca in un’altra posizione, che però ha fatto nella sua carriera. Tornando al discorso della disponibilità, un po’ come Koopmeiners che ha raccontato di poter fare anche il centrale se serve.
“Sì, ho fatto l’sempio di Koop, come l’esempio di Weston, come oggi è il caso di Timothy: in passato l’ha già fatto, nel Lille ha giocato molto da terzino. La cosa importante è che prima di fare queste scelte i giocatori devono essere convinti. Ne parliamo prima, loro devono essere convinti di farlo e questo è un bene per la squadra”.
Cosa le dà Kolo Muani rispetto a Vlahovic oggi?
“Sono due giocatori diversi, Dusan è più una punta centrale, Kolo Muani è un giocatore che ha già fatto le fasce, un giocatore più di movimento. Sono contenti di averli perchè dà alternative alla squadra. Oggi inizierà Randal e se abbiamo bisogno a partita in corso sono sicuro che Dusan con le sue caratteristiche aiuterà la squadra”.

UFC 311: Islam Makhachev breaks Khabib Nurmagomedov’s record with win over Renato Moicano
Islam Makhachev submitted Renato Moicano in one round to successfully retain his lightweight title at UFC 311 and set a new record.
The Russian has now defended his belt four times in a row, a first in the UFC.
The record was previously jointly held by legends Khabib Nurmagomedov, Benson Henderson and BJ Penn, who all managed three defences.
Makhachev, 33, staked his claim as the UFC’s pound-for-pound best with an unstoppable performance on Saturday night in Inglewood, California.
“I like this belt,” Makhachev said. “If somebody wants this belt, come to the cage.”
Nurmagomedov was in Makhachev’s corner, having taken on a coaching role since retiring from fighting.
Brazil’s Moicano, 35, stepped in on 24 hours’ notice on Friday, but he was no match for the dominant champion.
Less than a minute had passed after the first bell when Makhachev trapped a struggling Moicano in a brabo choke, forcing the challenger to tap almost immediately.
“I’m always looking for the finish,” Makhachev said.
“I’m not just talk. All fight week, all my camp, all media, if my opponent gives me a small chance, I will close the night.”
Makhachev also extended his current winning streak to 15, improving his overall record to 27 wins and just one loss.
UFC president Dana White acknowledged Makhachev as his personal pound-for-pound best having spent the last 12 months making the case for heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

In an epic, action-filled bantamweight title match, Merab Dvalishvili defends his title against Umar Nurmagomedov.
Islam Makhachev has successfully defended his lightweight championship belt following 10th-ranked Renato Moicano’s first-round submission at UFC 311.
The Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter took four minutes and five seconds to claim his 15th straight victory at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California on Saturday.
Makhachev, who holds a record of 27 wins and one loss, was quick to administer a D’Arce choke on his Brazilian opponent after taking him down quickly.
The 33-year-old Makhachev has the most title fight wins in the division with five and has accomplished what no other fighter in his division has ever done – successfully defending his belt four times. It was his 13th win by submission.
“I like this belt,” said Makhachev, the UFC’s top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter and the most decorated lightweight ever. “If somebody wants this belt, come to the cage.”
Moicano was a last-minute replacement for top-ranked challenger Arman Tsarukyan, who pulled out of the bout on Friday because “of significant back pain” related to an injury.
The 35-year-old Moicano, from Brazil, came in with nine victories in his past 10 fights, but proved to be no match for Makhachev, whose grappling has been unmatched as he continues to prove why he is one of the best in the world.
Moicano was harsher on himself and said Makhachev was the better fighter. He worries, however, that it may have been his one shot at championship glory.
“That wasn’t a one-day notice,” Moicano said after the fight. “That was a life’s notice. I’m very sad. I spent my whole life for this moment and tapped in the first round.”
Makhachev said he does not have a preference for his next opponent.

In the heavyweight division, sixth-ranked Jailton Almeida used a flurry of right hands to hurt seventh-ranked Serghei Spivac late in the first round and used a ground-and-pound attack to finish the match with a TKO at the 4:53 mark.
Reinier de Ridder wasted no time in taking down Kevin Holland roughly 10 seconds into their middleweight bout and finished him off with a rear-naked chokehold at 3:31 of the first round.
