Denver Broncosat Cincinnati Bengals Final Injury Report: Tee Higgins Questionable

The Denver Broncos are getting healthy on the doorstep of the playoffs. Most teams, even the playoff-bound ones, are holding on for dear life when it comes to fending off the injury bug this late in the season.

With the return of cornerback Riley Moss, the Broncos are whole again. The question is whether it will give the defense that healing boost and surge of confidence that seemed to be lacking since he exited the lineup with a knee injury in Week 12.

The Broncos have made some plays on defense (here’s looking at you, Nik Bonitto), but it hasn’t been the same stingy, suffocating unit that it was with Moss in the lineup. Who ever would have thought that one player would be that crucial to the team’s outlook, and his name isn’t Patrick Surtain II?

Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals‘ final Week 17 injury report looks about how you’d expect it. One injured player after another.

Let’s examine the two teams’ final injury reports.

    Questionable

    Full Go

Analysis: Indeed, Moss is back, as confirmed by head coach Sean Payton on Tuesday. In further good news, the Broncos are also getting back their No. 2 running back, McLaughlin, who missed last week’s action.

Franklin’s ankle is worth monitoring, but thankfully, the Broncos’ receiving corps is healthy entering these two final, pivotal games.

    Doubtful

    Questionable

    Full Go

Analysis: Burrow is banged up. The Bengals haven’t protected him well despite the MVP-level production he’s delivered. But the Broncos can’t sleep on him. Yeah, Burrow is listed, but Denver has to prepare as if he’s not even mentioned.

However, against the Broncos’ first-ranked pass rush, Burrow will be susceptible. His wrist injury is on his throwing hand, so it’ll be interesting to see how and if that comes into play on Saturday.

Higgins’ injury is also worth monitoring. As Burrow’s second-favorite target, Higgins factors greatly into the Bengals’ offensive plans. Higgins will probably be a go, but he’s not 100%.

Meanwhile, if the Football Gods ever tried to telegraph a message to Coach Payton, I’m not sure they could be as strident as they have this week, screaming at the Broncos to run the ball with all the injuries and illnesses ripping through Cincinnati’s defensive front. Let’s hope Payton has eyes to see and ears to hear.

The Denver Broncos are set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a crucial matchup this weekend, and both teams are dealing with some significant injury concerns heading into the game. The final injury report has been released, and one player to keep an eye on is Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, who is listed as questionable for the game.

Higgins has been dealing with a shoulder injury that has limited his participation in practice this week. The talented wideout has been a key weapon for the Bengals this season, so his availability for the game could have a big impact on the team’s offensive game plan.

On the Broncos side, they will be without starting cornerback Ronald Darby, who has been ruled out with a shoulder injury. This could open up opportunities for the Bengals’ passing game to exploit Denver’s secondary.

Overall, both teams will need to overcome injuries and adjust their game plans accordingly in order to come out on top in this important matchup. Stay tuned for updates on Higgins’ status leading up to kickoff.

  • NFL Week 17 Fantasy Football Weather Report

NFL Week 17 Fantasy Football Weather Report

DeVonta Smith - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the fantasy football championship in Week 17. Congratulations, happy holidays, and a very Happy New Year to you (hopefully, if you win). At this point, three games have already been played, but we still have 13 more to go. The purpose of this article is to help you make informed lineup decisions based on the weather forecast. Yes, in some cases, the weather can have a major impact on player production.

We will rely on the most accurate and up-to-date weather forecasts for each stadium from AccuWeather, a source that provides comprehensive weather maps. Factors such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed/direction, and visibility can play a crucial role in shaping game outcomes and statistics.

Our goal with this article is to assist you in making informed decisions for your fantasy teams and other betting activities, allowing you to capitalize on opportunities or navigate challenges posed by weather dynamics. Here is your comprehensive fantasy football weather report for Week 17 of the 2024 season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2024:

    Dome Games (No Weather Impact)

Some games in Week 17 will benefit from being played in domed stadiums, where the weather won’t affect the outcome. These indoor venues provide a consistent environment.

    • Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams
    • Las Vegas Raiders at New Orleans Saints
    • Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

    Minimal Weather Impact

These outdoor games in Week 17 don’t appear to have very many weather concerns.

Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots (Saturday, 12/28 at 1:00 p.m. ET)

There’s a 40% chance of precipitation at Gillette Stadium during the Chargers and Patriots game. However, winds will be light (5-10 miles per hour (mph)) and temperatures will be above freezing. All in all, not a terrible forecast for December 28 in the Northeast.

That being said, there’s probably only one “must-start” guy in this game and that’s Chargers rookie wideout Ladd McConkey.

Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals (Saturday, 12/28 at 4:30 p.m. ET)

It looks like rain is coming in Cincinnati, but it might hold off until after the Broncos and Bengals matchup at 4:30 p.m. ET. Currently, rain chances are around 20% at kickoff and go up to 50% closer to midnight. Winds aren’t expected to be much of an issue in this game, either, clocking in at 6 mph sustained with gusts up to 15 mph.

With a big over/under of 49.5, this game looks like it could turn into a good old-fashioned shootout. Bo Nix is firmly in the top-10 QB conversation for Championship Week 17.

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (Sunday, 12/29 at 1:00 p.m. ET)

Rain is in the forecast in Buffalo on Sunday, but (for now) it looks like it might be in the morning ahead of kickoff. At least it’s not going to be frigid. High temperatures are expected to hit 52 degrees and winds aren’t expected to be much of a factor. They’re forecast to be sustained around 10 mph with gusts around 20 mph. Buffalo continues to put up points in droves and it probably won’t be any different Sunday against the Jets. It has an implied team total of 27.5 in this one.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday, 12/29 at 1:00 p.m. ET)

Conditions look favorable for the Panthers vs. Buccaneers game on Sunday in Tampa, Fla. There’s a 50% chance of rain for the day, but that number reduces to just 25% during the game. Winds will be mild at just 9 mph sustained and temperatures will be in the mid-70s.

This game features the third-highest over/under (48.5) on the Week 17 slate. Fire up all of the offensive weapons in this one. Look for Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans to bounce back and have a field day in this one.

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday, 12/29 at 1:00 p.m. ET)

A very similar forecast is in store in Jacksonville, Fla., as it is in Tampa on Sunday. There’s a chance of rain (small) with sustained winds around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. It’ll be warm and overall pretty good weather conditions as two 3-12 teams face off in the race to the bottom (of the standings).

Even though both teams are probably hoping to lose, some guys could make an impact on your fantasy football team this weekend, including Brian Thomas Jr., Brenton Strange, Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Calvin Ridley, and Chig Okonkwo.

Atlanta Falcons at Washington Commanders (Sunday, 12/29 at 8:20 p.m. ET)

I’m keeping this game between the Falcons and Commanders in the “Minimal Weather Impact” section because it’s a night game. The rain and wind in the Northeast is expected to wrap up sometime in the late afternoon or early evening, so conditions could be clearing for this one.

As a result, there shouldn’t be too much of an impact on the game. Keep an eye on the forecast, though, as we get closer to game time.

Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers (Monday, 12/30 at 8:15 p.m. ET)

It’s going to be a picture-perfect Monday night in Santa Clara, Calif., when the 49ers play host to the Detroit Lions. This game features the highest over/under (50.5) on the slate with the Lions currently listed as 3.5-point favorites. This game has a shootout written all over it. Start them all! Jahmyr Gibbs, Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Jauan Jennings, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel Sr., Isaac Guerendo (hopefully), and Brock Purdy.

    Severe Weather Impact

Let’s focus on matchups where weather conditions could substantially influence the game.

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday, 12/29 at 1:00 p.m. ET)

It looks like it’s going to be a soaker in The City of Brotherly Love on Sunday when the Eagles play host to the Dallas Cowboys. Temperatures will be in the low-to-mid 50s, but the forecast calls for over one inch of rain throughout the entire day.

Additionally, it appears the rain will be heaviest between noon and 4 p.m. Not only will it be rainy, but winds are forecast to be sustained around 14 mph with gusts reaching 30-32 mph.

The deep passing games and the kicking games will be affected in this one. The Eagles could also be without Jalen Hurts, so they’ll most likely be relying on Kenny Pickett. Neither Pickett nor Cooper Rush has the strongest of arms, so guys like A.J. Brown will need to rely on their yards-after-catch (YAC) ability in this one to sustain any meaningful production.

This is setting up to be a huge Saquon Barkley game.

Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants (Sunday, 12/29 at 1:00 p.m. ET)

It’ll be a similar forecast in East Rutherford, N.J., to Philadelphia on Sunday. Rain will be consistent throughout the game with winds sustained between 10 and 12 mph. Wind gusts are forecast to reach 30 mph in this one. It’s not “quite” as bad as it’ll be in Philadelphia, but still enough to have impacts on the passing and kicking games.

Just like in Philly, this could be a big game on the ground for the 7.5-point road favorite Colts. Expect Jonathan Taylor to follow up his massive Week 16 performance with another fine performance in Championship Week 17.

Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns (Sunday, 12/29 at 4:05 p.m. ET)

It’ll be a rainy day in Cleveland when the Browns play host to the Miami Dolphins. However, despite the rain, winds don’t appear to be too much of a factor. They’re forecast at just 8 mph with 18-20 mph gusts.

It won’t be a washout by any means, but the ball could be slick, which could impact the passing game a bit. However, the Dolphins with Tua Tagovailoa are very reliant on the short and underneath stuff, so you shouldn’t necessarily fade Jonnu Smith and Tyreek Hill in this one.

On the other side of the ball, don’t expect much from Dorian Thompson-Robinson and his pass-catchers on Sunday. It’s gearing up to be another heavy workload for Jerome Ford.

As we head into the final week of the NFL regular season, fantasy football players need to pay close attention to the weather forecasts for each game. Weather can have a significant impact on player performance, so it’s important to know what to expect before setting your lineup. Here is the Week 17 Fantasy Football Weather Report:

    – Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets: The forecast for this game calls for cold temperatures and possible snow showers. This could impact the passing game, so consider starting running backs over wide receivers in this matchup.

    – Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions: It looks like it will be a cold and windy day in Green Bay, which could affect the passing game. Keep an eye on the weather leading up to kickoff and adjust your lineup accordingly.

    – Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons: The weather in Atlanta is expected to be mild with no significant precipitation. This should be a good game for fantasy players, with ideal conditions for passing and scoring.

    – New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins: There is a chance of rain in Miami for this game, which could make for slippery conditions on the field. Consider starting running backs and tight ends over wide receivers in this matchup.

    – Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos: It will be cold and possibly snowy in Denver, which could impact the passing game. Make sure to check the weather updates leading up to kickoff and adjust your lineup accordingly.

Overall, it looks like weather could play a factor in several Week 17 matchups, so be sure to keep an eye on the forecasts and make any necessary adjustments to your fantasy lineup. Good luck to all fantasy football players in the final week of the regular season!

  • Judge in Luigi Mangione Case Married to Ex-Pfizer Executive, Owns Thousands in Healthcare Stock: Report

Judge in Luigi Mangione Case Married to Ex-Pfizer Executive, Owns Thousands in Healthcare Stock: Report

From left to right: Luigi Mangione; Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker; Bret Parker
Curtis Means/Getty Images; Fordham Law News; MJFF

The judge presiding over pre-trial hearings for Luigi Mangione has come under scrutiny for her financial and familial ties to the healthcare industry.

According to her 2023 financial disclosures, Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker owns substantial stock in healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, where her husband, Bret Parker, previously served as Vice President and assistant general counsel, journalist Ken Klippenstein reported.

Judge Parker’s financial holdings include somewhere between $50,000 and $100,000 in Pfizer stock, and her husband, who left Pfizer in 2010, collects a pension through the company’s Senior Executive Retirement Plan. In addition to the couple’s profits from Pfizer, Judge Park has investments in other healthcare companies including Abbott Laboratories, Viatris, and Intellia Therapeutics.

“The judge’s ties to the healthcare business are a stark reminder of how pervasive the for-profit industry is in American life — a point made by Mangione himself,” Ken Klippenstein wrote.

Mangione pleaded not guilty on Monday to terror and murder charges in New York related to the shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. An alleged manifesto rails against healthcare insurance companies who profit off of denied claims, stating, “These parasites had it coming.” The crime has led to increased criticism of privatized healthcare.

These financial disclosures spark questions about potential conflicts of interest, particularly given the nature of Mangione’s case. While no allegations of impropriety have been made, the judge’s investments may add a layer of complexity to an already high-profile legal proceeding.

© 2024 Latin Times. All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.

In a shocking revelation, it has been reported that the judge presiding over the Luigi Mangione case is married to an ex-Pfizer executive and owns thousands of dollars worth of healthcare stock. This conflict of interest raises serious concerns about the impartiality of the legal proceedings and calls into question the fairness of the trial.

The case of Luigi Mangione, who is facing charges of fraud and embezzlement, is already highly contentious. With the added complication of the judge’s close ties to the pharmaceutical industry, it is clear that there are serious ethical considerations at play.

Many are calling for the judge to recuse themselves from the case in order to ensure a fair and unbiased outcome. The public deserves a legal system that is free from corruption and undue influence, and this latest development only serves to erode trust in the judiciary.

As more details come to light, it is imperative that the legal system takes swift and decisive action to address this conflict of interest. The integrity of the justice system is at stake, and it is essential that steps are taken to uphold the principles of fairness and justice for all.

  • Colts QB Anthony Richardson listed as non-participant in first practice report of Week 17

Colts QB Anthony Richardson listed as non-participant in first practice report of Week 17

Quarterback Anthony Richardson was listed as a non-participant with back and foot injuries in the Colts’ first practice report of Week 17, which was released Wednesday.

Richardson started and finished the Colts’ 38-30 Week 16 win over the Tennessee Titans, completing seven of 11 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown and rushing nine times for a career-high 70 yards with a touchdown.

The Colts adjusted their practice schedule this week due to Christmas falling on a Wednesday. Players were given Christmas off, with their usual off day of Tuesday becoming the Colts’ first practice day of the week (the Colts held a walkthrough on Tuesday, but per NFL rules did not have to release an injury report until Wednesday). Richardson’s “did not practice” status was an estimation of if there were a practice.

The Colts return to their usual in-week practice schedule Thursday and Friday, and will release practice reports on both days.

    Wednesday’s full practice report:

The Indianapolis Colts have hit a bump in the road as quarterback Anthony Richardson was listed as a non-participant in the team’s first practice report of Week 17. Richardson, who has been dealing with a nagging injury, was unable to take the field with his teammates as they prepare for their upcoming game.

This news comes as a blow to the Colts, who are currently fighting for a playoff spot in a tight AFC race. Richardson has been a key player for the team this season, and his absence could have a significant impact on their chances of securing a postseason berth.

It remains to be seen whether Richardson will be able to suit up for the Colts’ next game, but his status will surely be closely monitored in the days leading up to kickoff. In the meantime, the team will need to rally together and find a way to overcome this setback as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive.

  • Report: Giants have Burnes offer on table but could move on

Report: Giants have Burnes offer on table but could move on

Report: Giants have Burnes offer on table but could move on originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area

The Giants reportedly have an offer on the table for Corbin Burnes, but they might not wait much longer.

The free-agent pitcher is one of the top options still available on the market, but the right-hander is looking for a bigger payday, MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reported, citing sources, which could change how things shake out.

“San Francisco has had an offer on the table, but sources have indicated that the Giants may be getting impatient, prompting them to consider other ways to improve the club via free agency,” Feinsand wrote. “Even after extending Matt Chapman and signing Adames, the Giants could look to add another bat, with Alonso, Anthony Santander, Jurickson Profar and Teoscar Hernández among the potential options.

“According to sources, Burnes is seeking a deal worth at least $245 million, which would match the seven-year, $245 million deal Stephen Strasburg signed in December 2019 as the third-highest guaranteed contract in history for a starting pitcher.”

While the Giants have opened the checkbook this offseason, signing Willy Adames to the richest contract in club history, it’s unclear if first-year president of baseball operations Buster Posey and Co. will do it again for Burnes.

The hard-throwing righty had another strong season with the Baltimore Orioles, posting a 15-9 record with a 2.92 ERA, 181 strikeouts and 194.1 innings pitched to make his fourth consecutive All-Star team.

San Francisco has been looking for another top-notch starter to pair with Logan Webb, and Burnes certainly would fit the bill. Still, it’s hard to imagine the team would commit such a large salary to the 30-year-old Burnes.

For now, the offer remains on the table, but the Giants’ patience is running out.

Download and follow the Giants Talk Podcast

According to sources close to the situation, the San Francisco Giants have put an offer on the table for Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes. However, it appears that the Giants are growing impatient with the lack of progress in negotiations and are considering moving on to other potential trade targets.

Burnes, who had a stellar 2021 season with a 2.43 ERA and 234 strikeouts in 167 innings pitched, is reportedly seeking a significant contract extension that the Giants may not be willing to meet. With other teams also expressing interest in Burnes, the Giants may decide to pivot their focus to other available pitchers who are more aligned with their budget and roster needs.

While the Giants have made Burnes a priority this offseason, they understand the importance of not overpaying for one player and jeopardizing their overall team-building efforts. It remains to be seen whether the Giants will ultimately come to terms with Burnes or pursue alternative options in the pitching market.

Stay tuned for further updates as the Giants continue to navigate their offseason plans.

    KEYS TO THE GAMES
Keep The Connection: Coming off the brief holiday break, Vegas would like to keep the same chemistry they had entering the holidays. Keegan Kolesar mentioned that consistency is key. He stated the team addresses what they need to work on, practice it, then bring it to the table come game time.

Division Dominance: Vegas is 11-2-1 in the Pacific Division and 19-3-2 in the Western Conference. Head coach Bruce Cassidy stated that in order to go all the way to the Finals, the team must be good in their own division. Cassidy also mentioned that the team “certainly feels like the top dogs of the division.” Maintaining their top-dog status, alongside remaining calm, cool, and collected is the key to success for Vegas.
