XRP Sees Calm Before the Storm after Ripple CEO Signals the Inclusion of XRP in U.S. Strategic Reserve ⋆ ZyCrypto

As XRP continues to steadfastly hold as the third-largest cryptocurrency based on market cap, the leading altcoin might be experiencing the calm before the storm.
Calling out this development, market analyst Mikybull Crypto acknowledged that XRP was building up momentum that could see it smash its all-time high (ATH) of $3.40 and soar to the $7 level.
Source: Mikybull Crypto The analyst added, “XRP might rip through to $8 before a cycle top, given the current bullish fundamentals. This is the period you manage your risk, by the way, as it is on resistance.”

Having stagnated at the seventh position for the better part of three years, XRP has found its footing, thanks to the pro-crypto policies expected to be rolled out in Donald Trump’s administration.
As a result, discussions about XRP being included in the US Strategic Reserve are in high gear, thanks to the executive order recently made by President Trump.
Affirming this development, Ripple CEO recently took to X, formerly Twitter, and pointed out, “Unless you are choosing to ignore the core tenants of the POTUS campaign (which aggressively supports American companies and technologies), our efforts are actually increasing the likelihood of a crypto strategic reserve (which includes Bitcoin) happening.”
Meanwhile, renowned crypto lawyer Bill Morgan recently opined that if President Trump had the liberty of launching TrumpCoin (TRUMP) without the rigorous registration from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), then XRP ought to be treated in a similar manner.
On the other hand, XRP continues to enjoy bullish momentum, having recorded a year-to-date increase of 483.5%, according to CoinGecko data.
XRP Sees Calm Before the Storm after Ripple CEO Signals the Inclusion of XRP in U.S. Strategic Reserve
In a recent development that has sent shockwaves through the cryptocurrency community, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse hinted at the potential inclusion of XRP in the U.S. Strategic Reserve. This move could potentially catapult XRP into mainstream adoption and solidify its position as a major player in the digital currency space.
Following Garlinghouse’s announcement, XRP has seen a period of relative calm as investors eagerly await further details on the potential partnership with the U.S. government. Many are speculating that this could be the catalyst that propels XRP to new heights, with some predicting a surge in price and market capitalization.
As we await more information on this groundbreaking development, it’s clear that XRP is on the brink of a major breakthrough. The calm before the storm may soon give way to a whirlwind of activity as XRP cements its place as a key player in the global financial landscape.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development and keep an eye on XRP as it prepares to make waves in the cryptocurrency world.

#XRP #Sees #Calm #Storm #Ripple #CEO #Signals #Inclusion #XRP #U.S #Strategic #Reserve #ZyCryptoSixers’ Tyrese Maxey not named East All-Star reserve
The NBA announced All-Star reserves Thursday night, and Tyrese Maxey did not make the cut.
Eastern Conference All-Star Reserves:
– Darius Garland
– Damian Lillard
– Jaylen Brown
– Evan Mobley
– Tyler Herro
– Cade Cunningham
– Pascal Siakam— Chris Haynes (@ChrisBHaynes) January 30, 2025
Maxey is now averaging a career-best 27.1 points and 3.3 three-pointers per game this season, although his efficiency (43.6% overall, 34.0% from deep) has plunged relative to the past few years. The Sixers’ disappointing 19-27 record is likely what kept him from being named an All-Star for the second straight year, though.
To some extent, Maxey fell victim to a numbers game. At most, only six guards can make the All-Star team in each conference. Donovan Mitchell and Jalen Brunson are the starters for the East, and there were plenty of other deserving backcourt candidates who also didn’t make the cut, including Trae Young, LaMelo Ball and Zach LaVine.
Maxey has the sixth-highest scoring average of any player who didn’t make the All-Star Game over the past decade, trailing only Bradley Beal (30.5 points per game in 2019-20), Ball (28.2 this season), Devin Booker (27.8 in 2022-23) and Kyrie Irving (27.4 in both 2019-20 and 2021-22). Points per game isn’t the only way to measure whether a player deserves an All-Star nod, but that’s noteworthy context nonetheless.
Had the Sixers’ season not gone off the rails from the jump, Maxey likely would be headed back to the All-Star Game. Luckily, he appears focused on more important matters.
“I’ll say this: I’m more happy about the way our team has been playing the past three weeks,” Maxey told reporters Tuesday about what another All-Star nod would mean to him. “We haven’t won every game of course, but it’s finally coming together. Guys are going out there and having fun, and guys are excited to come into the building and try to compete.”
Even with Paul George and Joel Embiid out of the lineup, Maxey helped guide the Sixers to back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings on Tuesday and Wednesday. He’s also riding a six-game streak in which he’s shot at least 50% from the field after clearing that threshold only six times across his first 33 games.
“I think earlier in the year, I was worried about what was going on,” Maxey admitted Tuesday. “Injuries and all that, it just kind of sucks. But now, I’ve just kind of had the mindset of whoever’s out here is out here. We’ve gotta go out here and play extremely hard and give ourselves a chance to win the game. And I know that’s gonna start with me, and I’m OK with that. I’m up for the challenge.”
It’s a bummer that Maxey won’t be headed to San Francisco for his second straight All-Star Game, but it might be a blessing in disguise. After all, he’s playing a career-high 37.9 minutes per game this season as he tries to keep the Sixers afloat sans George and Embiid. Get that man to a beach in Cabo for some well-deserved R&R during the All-Star break.
Although he has had a breakout season for the Philadelphia 76ers, Tyrese Maxey was not named as an Eastern Conference All-Star reserve. Despite averaging 16.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, the second-year guard was left off the roster. Many fans and analysts were surprised by Maxey’s omission, as he has been a key contributor for the Sixers this season. His scoring ability, playmaking skills, and energy on both ends of the court have been instrumental in Philadelphia’s success.
While it’s disappointing that Maxey won’t be making his All-Star debut this year, there’s no doubt that he will continue to be a rising star in the league. With his work ethic and determination, it’s only a matter of time before he earns a spot among the NBA’s elite players.

Federal Reserve advisor spied for China, DOJ says
FILE PHOTO: The Federal Reserve building is seen in Washington, U.S., Jan. 26, 2022.
Joshua Roberts | Reuters
A former senior advisor for the Federal Reserve was arrested Friday on charges that he conspired to steal Fed trade secrets for the benefit of China.
The data that the advisor, John Harold Rogers, shared with his co-conspirators could allow China to manipulate the U.S. market “in a manner similar to insider trading,” the Department of Justice said.
The co-conspirators were members of China’s intelligence and security apparatus who posed as graduate students at a university in that country, according to prosecutors.
Rogers, a 63-year-old resident of Vienna, Virginia, was indicted in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., on charges of conspiracy to commit economic espionage and making false statements.
He worked as a senior advisor in the international finance division of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors from 2010 until 2021, the DOJ said.
As part of that job, he “was entrusted with confidential FRB information,” according to the department.
Rogers since 2018 allegedly exploited his employment “by soliciting trade-secret information regarding proprietary economic data sets, deliberations about tariffs targeting China, briefing books for designated governors, and sensitive information about Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) deliberations and forthcoming announcements,” the DOJ said.
The indictment accuses him of passing that information electronically from his personal email, in violation of Fed policy, or printing it out prior to traveling to China to meet with co-conspirators
“Under the guise of teaching ‘classes,’ Rogers met with his co-conspirators in hotel rooms in China where he conveyed sensitive, trade-secret information that belonged to the FRB and the FOMC,” the DOJ said.
FBI Assistant Director in Charge David Sundberg in a statement said, “The Chinese Communist Party has expanded its economic espionage campaign to target U.S. government financial policies and trade secrets in an effort to undermine the U.S. and become the sole superpower.”
This is breaking news. Please refresh for updates.
In a shocking turn of events, a Federal Reserve advisor has been accused of spying for China, according to the Department of Justice. This betrayal of trust has sent shockwaves through the financial world, raising concerns about potential security breaches and the safety of sensitive information. The accused advisor, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly passed on confidential information to Chinese officials in exchange for financial compensation. The extent of the damage caused by this espionage is still being investigated, but the implications are deeply troubling.
The Federal Reserve plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability of the US economy, and any breach of security within its ranks is cause for serious concern. The DOJ has vowed to pursue justice in this case and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
This scandal serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and security measures in protecting our nation’s most sensitive information. It also underscores the growing threat of foreign espionage in the digital age, highlighting the need for increased awareness and safeguards to prevent future incidents.

2025 NBA All-Star Game rosters: Full squads set with Victor Wembanyama, Cade Cunningham among reserve picks
Getty Images
The 2025 NBA All-Star rosters have been set. After last week’s announcement of the 10 starters, Thursday brought us the 14 final selections, who will be classified as reserves at All-Star Weekend in San Francisco in February.
Of course, we should point out that the typical starter/reserve structure for All-Star selections is going to differ this year. Rather than a traditional two-team All-Star setup, four teams will play on All-Star Sunday. Three of them will be composed of the 24 All-Star selections drafted by the cast of Inside the NBA. The fourth will be the winning team from Friday’s Rising Star Challenge. Obviously, with three teams, a total of 15 players will ultimately start, but the classification of starters and reserves still matters from the perspective of honoring the 10 best players through the first half of the season.
And so, without further ado, here are our full 2024-25 All-Star rosters.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game is shaping up to be one for the ages, with a mix of young up-and-coming stars and established veterans set to take the court. The full squads have been announced, with some surprising selections and snubs along the way.Starting for the Eastern Conference will be the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, and Joel Embiid, while the Western Conference will be led by LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Anthony Davis.
Among the reserves, one of the most exciting picks is French phenom Victor Wembanyama, who has taken the league by storm with his shot-blocking prowess and offensive skills. Joining him on the Eastern Conference bench will be rising star Cade Cunningham, who has emerged as a versatile playmaker for his team.
On the Western Conference side, the likes of Ja Morant, Devin Booker, and Jayson Tatum will be looking to make their mark in the All-Star Game, while rookies Jalen Green and Evan Mobley will be eager to showcase their talents on the big stage.

#Jalen #Williams #named #AllStar #reserve #time #careerPistons’ Cade Cunningham named 2025 NBA All-Star Game reserve
Cade Cunningham is an NBA All-Star.
The Detroit Pistons breakout star was officially named a reserve for the 2025 All-Star Game on Thursday, becoming the first player from the franchise to make the game since Blake Griffin in 2019. The 6-foot-6 guard is enjoying a career season, averaging 25 points, 9.3 assists, 6.4 rebounds and nearly a full block and steal per game. The rosters for the Eastern and Western conferences were revealed on TNT on Thursday night, though the game won’t feature conference affiliations.
Cunningham’s profile has risen along with the Pistons, who entered Thursday 23-24 and in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, half a game behind the Miami Heat for the top play-in tournament spot. But before Cunningham can attempt to lead the Pistons to their first playoff appearance since 2019 — and potentially their first playoff victory since 2008 — he’ll have a shot at pulling down a $125,000 check next month.
Cunningham’s selection drew the approval of Charles Barkley during the reveal: “I’m so happy for that kid,” Barkley said.

Saturday night will feature the skills competition at Chase Center, with an overall skills challenge, a 3-point contest and the slam dunk contest.

The four eight-player teams will face off in approximate 25-minute heats, with the winner being the first team to 40 points. The first semifinal will tip off at 8:20 p.m. and the second at approximately 9:10. The final, featuring the semifinal winners, is slated to tip off around 10 p.m.

Two guards and three frontcourt players in each conference qualify as “starters,” though the league will play the game as a mini-tournament on Feb. 16 featuring three eight-player teams of NBA All-Stars and one squad from Feb. 14’s “Rising Stars” tournament. The NBA starters and reserves will be distributed among the three teams in draft next Thursday by TNT broadcasters O’Neal, Barkley and Kenny Smith. The teams — “Team Shaq,” “Team Chuck” and “Team Kenny” — will face “Team Candace,” with former WNBA star Candace Parker as team GM.
What’s at stake in 2025 NBA All-Star Game?
There’s big money on the line for the 24 NBA stars and eight prospects, according to the league’s web site: “The four teams participating in the NBA All-Star Game will compete for a prize pool of $1.8 million, with each player on the championship-winning team receiving $125,000, each player on the second-place team receiving $50,000 and each player on the third- and fourth-place teams receiving $25,000.”

Top three trade destinations for Hornets reserve guard Cody Martin
As we approach the NBA Trade Deadline, the Charlotte Hornets are probably going to consider trading Cody Martin. He’s a three-and-D player who isn’t likely to factor into their long-term plans, which makes him highly desirable across the NBA. There will probably be more than a few suitors for him, but these three teams make the most sense.

Mandatory Credit: David Richard-Imagn Images / David Richard-Imagn Images The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the NBA’s best teams, which makes them very likely to target players like Cody Martin. He’s capable of defending multiple positions at a high level and can score on the occasion. Right now, Cleveland’s SF depth is weak with Isaac Okoro injured, leaving Dean Wade as the starter. This move would shore up the sole weak spot in the lineup and provide defensive versatility and depth as the Cavs go all-in on their best year in quite some time.

Mandatory Credit: Troy Taormina-Imagn Images / Troy Taormina-Imagn Images The Houston Rockets boast a ferocious defense, something that can be aided by the addition of Cody Martin. He’s a stout perimeter defender, and he’d be a perfect role player in Houston. He fits the identity they’ve forged under Ime Udoka and would help them rise in the West. Right now, their wing depth isn’t great and Martin can play the two, three, or four in instances just like Dillon Brooks. They’re a younger team, which means Martin being under contract for next year means this isn’t just a rental for an up-and-coming unit.

Mandatory Credit: Jayne Kamin-Oncea-Imagn Images / Jayne Kamin-Oncea-Imagn Images Unlike the other two teams on this list, the Los Angeles Lakers actually need the help to get to the top of their conference. Both the Rockets and Cavs would be fine without Cody Martin, but the Lakers need to make a move. They’re 23-18 and need some perimeter play badly. Their backup PG and SG is currently Max Christie, so Martin is a need for them in more ways than one. The Lakers also have the 22nd-best defensive rating, so they could use a stopper out on the wing.

Hornets’ Player Health VP steps down for family issue amid unbelievable injury luck
Can the Hornets continue their recent success versus Memphis?
- Los Angeles Lakers: The Lakers could use a versatile wing player like Cody Martin off the bench to provide depth and defense. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, Martin could thrive in a supporting role for a championship-contending team.
- Philadelphia 76ers: The 76ers are in need of perimeter shooting and defensive help, and Cody Martin could provide just that. Playing alongside Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, Martin could excel in a system that emphasizes defense and versatility.
- Dallas Mavericks: The Mavericks could benefit from adding a young and athletic player like Cody Martin to their roster. With Luka Doncic leading the way, Martin could provide valuable depth and energy off the bench for a team looking to make a deep playoff run.

Eagles roster news: Nakobe Dean to injured reserve among 5 moves
The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced five roster moves on Tuesday afternoon. An overview:
- LB Nakobe Dean was placed on injured reserve.
- WR Parris Campbell was signed from the practice squad to the active roster.
- LB Nicholas Morrow and WR Elijah Cooks were signed to the practice squad.
- WR Joe Ngata was released from the practice squad.
Let’s sort through this news on a player-by-player basis.
NAKOBE DEAN
Dean suffered a torn patellar tendon in his knee during the Eagles’ Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers. He’s out for the rest of the playoffs and he could miss games during the 2025 season as well.
Very unfortunate development for Dean, who was having a pretty great breakout season and is a well-liked guy in the locker room. The Eagles’ defense is certainly worse without him.
Exactly how the Eagles go about replacing Dean remains to be seen. We do know that Zack Baun will take over green dot duties as the defensive play-caller; Vic Fangio confirmed as much on Tuesday. Fangio also suggested that we could see Oren Burks and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. split snaps at linebacker next to Baun.
PARRIS CAMPBELL
The Eagles signed Campbell to fill the roster spot opened by Dean going on IR.
This move doesn’t come as a surprise since the Eagles made Campbell one of their two temporary practice squad elevations for their Wild Card game. Serving as a fifth wide receiver behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, and Johnny Wilson, Campbell logged zero offensive snaps and just two special teams snaps.
Campbell being bumped up cements Ainias Smith as a healthy scratch sixth wide receiver moving forward.
NICHOLAS MORROW
Morrow’s return to Philly was first reported earlier on Tuesday.
With Dean going on IR, the Eagles only have three off-ball linebackers on their roster: Baun, Burks, and Trotter Jr. Signing Morrow to the practice squad allows the team to temporarily elevate him from the practice squad to have a fourth linebacker available for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
One would figure Morrow will be limited to special teams duty, barring additional linebacker injuries.
ELIJAH COOKS
Cooks is a new addition to the Eagles.
The 26-year-old wide receiver played six years in college (five at Nevada, one at San Jose State) before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2023.
Cooks appeared in nine games as a rookie and played 108 offensive snaps. He was targeted four times for three receptions and 38 yards. Cooks spent the 2024 season on the Jaguars’ practice squad and appeared in two games, playing just 10 offensive snaps.
Cooks is a relatively big receiver at 6’4”, 215 pounds.
JOE NGATA
The Eagles only brought Ngata back to Philly last Friday. His return clearly didn’t last long with the Eagles seemingly preferring Cooks to him.
EAGLES PRACTICE SQUAD
Practice squad players can be temporarily elevated to the game day roster up to three times in the regular season and an unlimited number of times in the postseason.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made some significant changes to their roster ahead of their upcoming game. Linebacker Nakobe Dean has been placed on injured reserve, causing him to miss multiple games due to a lingering injury. In addition to Dean being placed on injured reserve, the Eagles have made four other moves to shake up their roster. These moves include signing a new linebacker, promoting a wide receiver from the practice squad, releasing a cornerback, and adding a defensive lineman to the active roster.
The loss of Dean will be a tough blow for the Eagles defense, but the team is confident in their depth and ability to adjust. Fans will be eager to see how these roster changes impact the team’s performance in the upcoming games.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Eagles roster news and how these moves will shape the team moving forward.

- XRP Surpasses $3, Reaching Seven-Year High
XRP’s price surged past the $3 mark, reaching $3.36, a 16% increase over the past 24 hours.
This rally is attributed to declining U.S. core inflation, increasing expectations for Federal Reserve interest rate cuts, and anticipation of new spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that would directly own cryptocurrencies. Additionally, positive developments in the SEC’s legal case against Ripple have bolstered investor confidence.
- Solana Targets $220 Amid Growing Interest

- Litecoin Jumps 16% in 24 Hours
