  • Expert tips Wrexham for ‘proper thumping’ with score prediction vs Stevenage, but ‘respect’ is required

Wrexham are back in action against Stevenage on Tuesday evening, and the Red Dragons have been backed to get a positive result.

Phil Parkinson’s men go into the clash with Stevenage at the Racecourse Ground off the back of a decent 1-1 draw with Birmingham City last week.

Next up, it’s Wrexham vs Stevenage, again at home, with the Red Dragons looking to secure three more points and keep up their title challenge.

With Wrexham unbeaten at home, it’s not surprising that many expect them to win the game, but one expert has gone above and beyond with their score prediction.

Wrexham predicted to get comfortable win over Stevenage

Discussing the upcoming game on the Fearless In Devotion podcast, all the hosts suggested Wrexham will get the win they need on Tuesday.

But, Tim Edwards went one step further, backing the Red Dragons to secure a massive win in spite of Stevenage’s recent win over Barnsley.

He said: “Stevenage, I think we’ll beat, but you have to treat it with a bit of respect. They won away at Barnsley, something we failed miserably to do. I’d imagine Parky went to scout that game because he’s a workhorse.

“I think it will be similar to our first National League game against them when we won 5-0, but this will be 4-0. A proper thumping at home. They’ll look at the Birmingham game and say ‘just do that for one half and you’ll be out of sight.’”

If Wrexham were to win 4-0, and Wycombe Wanderers were to lose to Barnsley by two goals or more, Parkinson’s side would jump ahead into second place in the League One table.

Wrexham can kiss title goodbye if they don’t win vs Stevenage

Whichever players make the Wrexham XI vs Stevenage, they have to put in a top performance and get the job done in style.

On paper, Wrexham have everything they need to defeat Stevenage with ease, but as we know all too well, nothing is easy in the Football League.

If Wrexham don’t get the three points here, and results elsewhere favour Birmingham, the Red Dragons can all but give up on their hopes of pushing for the title.

Hopefully, the only surprise we get on Tuesday night will be around Phil Parkinson’s bold team selection, with a potential formation change in the offing.

As Wrexham gears up to take on Stevenage in their upcoming match, fans are eager for a “proper thumping” victory. However, it’s important to approach the game with respect for the opposition.

Here are some expert tips for Wrexham to secure a strong win:

    1. Maintain focus and discipline on the field: It’s crucial for players to stay sharp and avoid unnecessary fouls or mistakes that could cost the team points.

    2. Utilize strategic formations and tactics: Coaches should analyze Stevenage’s strengths and weaknesses to come up with a game plan that plays to Wrexham’s advantage.

    3. Capitalize on scoring opportunities: Wrexham should be aggressive in their attacks and look for chances to put the ball in the back of the net.

    Score prediction: Wrexham 3 – 1 Stevenage

While a victory is the ultimate goal, it’s important for players and fans alike to approach the game with respect for the opposition. Let’s cheer on Wrexham with enthusiasm and sportsmanship as they strive for success on the field. #COYR #RespectTheGame

  • “With All Due Respect To Jim”

Mayim Bialik counters Jim Parsons’ comments about the possibility of a The Big Bang Theory reboot. It has been more than 5 years since The Big Bang Theory ended with a two-part special that saw Sheldon and Amy winning the Nobel Prize in Physics. Despite being an ensemble show, the CBS sitcom shifted its focus towards the fan-favorite couple towards the end of the project for an uneven final year. Chuck Lorre and his team were still able to stage a largely satisfying send-off to the Pasadena gang, but considering its continued popularity, questions about the revival persist.

When asked about the matter, Bialik has a markedly different stance on doing The Big Bang Theory than Parsons in a new interview with Yahoo! Entertainment. The Sheldon actor shut down the possibility when asked about it, although he admitted that life is long and anything can still happen. All he knows is that, for now, he is not open to the idea. Bialik, however, acknowledges the continued interest in the Pasadena gang and is more than happy to jump back into the shoes of Amy. Read her full quote below:

“With all due respect to Jim, I think that there’s a lot of interest and love for these characters and I’d be super happy to get to revisit [it] in any way. I think we all really have a lot of respect for the brand as it were and for what we were able to create. I was thrilled to get to still work with Jim and do some stuff on Young Sheldon. But for me, I understand the specialness and would love the opportunity to revisit Amy if it ever came up.”

What No Sheldon Would Mean For A Big Bang Theory Reboot

Sheldon Was Its True Main Character

Jim Parsons plays Sheldon Cooper getting a Nobel Prize on The Big Bang Theory series finale

Like Young Sheldon‘s cancellation, The Big Bang Theory ended not because there was a lack of interest in it. The nerd-centric sitcom wrapped up because Parsons decided to leave the show after season 12. Technically, the rest of the cast could still have continued the series, since the majority of them were open to staying. That said, they eventually realized that The Big Bang Theory needed Sheldon, so they decided to bow out as a complete cast.

Even if the other cast members wanted to do the revival, not having Sheldon would likely cause the plan to collapse.

Those who want to participate can stage a The Big Bang Theory reboot, but it will not be nearly as satisfying without Sheldon. As annoying as he was, he was the glue that kept the core characters together. On the rare occasions that he wasn’t at the center of its storytelling, he always managed to steal scenes with his antics. Part of it was due to the character’s writing and the rest was because of Parsons’ performance. Therefore, even if the other cast members wanted to do the revival, not having Sheldon would likely cause the plan to collapse.

Our Take On A Big Bang Theory Reboot In 2025

It Is Unlikely To Happen This Year

Somehow, time flew, and half a decade has passed since the Pasadena gang said goodbye. Despite that, The Big Bang Theory‘s popularity remains, thanks to its availability via streaming platforms, not to mention through constant reruns on TV. In terms of the timeline, CBS can certainly already develop either a reboot or revival of the show. There have been other shows that came back quicker than that, and they ended up being a success, such as Criminal Minds. The Big Bang Theory was more popular during its original broadcast, so it also has a good chance of recapturing its audience.

After concluding in 2020, Criminal Minds returned on Paramount+ in 2022 with a rivival known as Criminal Minds: Evolution.

Realistically, however, the chances of that happening in 2025 or even the next couple of years are very slim. For starters, Lorre is busy with Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, which is essentially Young Sheldon‘s sequel. Aside from that, he is also working on Stuart’s Big Bang Theory spinoff. No release date has been set, but the project has been in development for quite a while now, which means that it can easily start production in the coming months. Because of this, seeing the original characters reunite may take a little while longer.

When Might A The Big Bang Theory Reboot Happen?

It Probably Won’t Be For A Few Years

Johnny Galecki as Leonard, Melissa Rauch as Bernadette, Jim Parsons as Sheldon, Kunal Nayyar as Raj, Kaley Cuoco as Penny, Mayim Bialik as Amy, and Simon Helberg as Howard all toast with champagne around a table in The Big Bang Theory

While Parsons is not interested in the idea of reprising Sheldon now, he also knows that he cannot say for sure that he will never be involved in a Big Bang Theory reboot. Several members from the cast have expressed their enthusiasm for the idea of stepping back into that famed world, especially if people still want to see them and there’s a good story to tell. That said, it’s also worth noting that everyone from The Big Bang Theory cast are busy with their respective projects, which makes it tricky to coordinate their schedules for the proposed endeavor.

Taking all moving pieces into consideration, a Big Bang Theory reboot will likely not happen for a few more years. Even then, it might not even be a full-blown revival of the show. Instead, it could be a limited run, which has its cons. The biggest downside is that it won’t be long, but it has a higher chance of featuring the complete original cast, including Parsons. If that is still difficult to pull off, CBS can look at what Max did for the Friends reunion in 2021 and stage something similar for a one-time special.

  • Alexander Zverev says what Jacob Fearnley has done which he has ‘massive respect’ for ahead of their Australian Open clash

Alexander Zverev has looked in imperious form through the first two rounds of this year’s Australian Open.

World number two Zverev is searching for a maiden Grand Slam title in 2025, and after watching his first two matches in Australia, you wouldn’t bet against him doing so.

Zverev beat Lucas Pouille in the first round, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, as he comfortably made his way through to the second round of a Grand Slam for the 32nd time in his career.

Back on Rod Laver Arena, Zverev dismantled Spanish ATP star Pedro Martinez in straight sets in the second round, dropping just six games.

With the win, Zverev booked his spot in the third round, where he will face off against rising British star Jacob Fearnley, who beat Nick Kyrgios, and Arthur Cazaux in his opening two matches.

Ahead of his match with Fearnley, the 27-year-old revealed what the Brit did that earned his respect.

Alexander Zverev has ‘massive respect’ for the route Jacob Fearnley took to the top of men’s tennis

Speaking after his Australian Open second-round win over Martinez, Zverev gave his thoughts on Fearnley.

“I know he’s a young college player who’s gone up the rankings extremely fast,” he said.

“That means he’s playing great tennis, I’m looking forward to playing him for the first time.

“I have massive respect for guys that go that route, kind of choose the hard way to go to the professional circuit.

“He did that, went through all the stages, he deserves to be in the third round of a Major, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Zverev reiterated how impressed he is by players who grind their way onto the ATP Tour like Fearnley.

“I think he’s somebody that competes extremely well, typical college actually,” he said.

“Very competitive, fighting for all the moments.

“But yeah, again, I have massive respect for those guys who are maybe not number one or two in the junior rankings, were maybe not the most talented or gifted, and they go through all the stages.

“They go through college, through the Futures Tour, the Challenger Tour.

“Now he is on the big stage, in the third round of a Grand Slam, I have massive respect for that and looking forward to playing him.”

Zverev did, however, concede that he hadn’t seen too much of the world number 92.

“I mean, I watched him play against Nick [Kyrgios] a few nights ago,” he said.

“I watched him play Novak [Djokovic] in Wimbledon, that’s about it.”

Fearnley lost to Djokovic at Wimbledon in 2024 but gave the Serb a big scare as he took the opening set on Centre Court.

Jacob Fearnley’s sensational rise on the ATP Tour

The 23-year-old is set for a blockbuster clash in the third round of a Grand Slam later this week, but it’s not too long ago that Fearnley was relatively unheard of on the ATP Tour.

Fearnley climbed over 500 places in the rankings last year, as he emerged onto the scene, seemingly from nowhere.

Having fallen out of the rankings in 2021, and 2022, the Scot bounced back to the world’s top 700 in 2023, before making huge strides last year.

Thanks to four Challenger Tour wins, in Nottingham, Lincoln, Rennes, and Orleans, Fearnley finished the year inside the top 100.

Having picked up two wins at this year’s Australian Open, Fearnley currently sits at 77th in the live rankings, a number that can still rise or fall, depending on how the rest of the tournament pans out.

He’ll hope to continue his fine form when he takes on Zverev in the third round on Friday, January 17.

  • Saquon Barkley’s respect for Derrick Henry – NBC Sports Philadelphia

Saquon Barkley’s respect for Derrick Henry – NBC Sports Philadelphia

As Saquon Barkley explained the emotions he was feeling after the end of his record pursuit this week, he was asked about winning the rushing title in 2024.

    Not so fast.

“I gotta be careful what I say because Derrick (Henry) can still get that, you know what I mean?” Barkley said. “He’s a special player and you can’t count him out of anything.”

It’s clear that Barkley has a ton of respect for Baltimore’s Derrick Henry, who enters Week 18 with 1,783 rushing yards. Henry is 222 yards away from Barkley so it’s obviously a long shot as the Ravens get ready to play the Browns, but Barkley isn’t counting Henry out.

Barkley actually spoke with Henry on Wednesday. Two of the best running backs in the NFL have grown close. They were rooting for each other this offseason in free agency as they moved on from their former teams and they’ve been rooting for each other throughout this historic season.

When it was brought up to Barkley, who hit 2,000 rushing yards on the season last week, that the first eight members of the 2K Club have failed to get back to that mark, he quickly mentioned King Henry.

Henry finished with 2,027 yards back in 2020 with the Titans and this is now the second-best season of his incredible career.

“Derrick Henry could do it,” Barkley said.

Then it was brought up that Henry was 217 yards shy of 2,000 for the 2024 season.

“I’m not gonna lie, I knew that number,” Barkley said. “I talked to him today. He was talking to me to see if I was going to get [the record]. Obviously, the news came out that I’m sitting. I told him you could do something special too. Be the first one to do it twice. You never know.”

    Get a paw up there

Jalen Carter has the ability to wreck games. You see him beat double-teams, knife into the backfield, hit quarterbacks and take down running backs. All the things that garner acclaim.

But there’s another thing Carter has been exceptionally good at in 2024.

He’s batting down passes at a really high rate. After he didn’t have a single pass breakup as a rookie in 2023, Carter has batted down six passes this season. His sixth came on Sunday against the Cowboys and he nearly swatted the ball into the arms of teammate Nolan Smith.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said that ability is just “innate” in some players.

“Yeah, he’s got a knack for it,” Fangio said. “That’s usually what it is. Some guys have a knack for it. He seems to have a knack for it. It’s been good.”

Carter has his own theory on why he’s been so good at batting pass.

“I think that’s from when I played offense in high school,” he said. “I’m used to running routes, little drags down the middle and stuff, catching the ball. Usually when I’m rushing and I see it’s not going to be a rush where I can get a sack or something, I can real a quarterback’s eyes and I can tell where somebody is coming behind me and I can get my hand up.”

Carter’s six batted passes are second among defensive tackles in the NFL this season behind just Cameron Hayward, who has eight. And this is the most batted passes for any Eagles DT since at least 1999.

Trevor Laws batted 5 passes in 2010, Darwin Walker had 5 in 2003 and the most Fletcher Cox ever had in a season was 3 in his rookie season in 2012. Carter has more batted passes this year than the rest of the Eagles’ DTs combined: Jordan Davis (2), Thomas Booker (1), Milton Williams (1).

    Opportunity for Tanner

You’ll hear a bunch of people call Sunday’s Week 18 game against the Giants “meaningless.” And from a playoff seeding perspective, it is.

But this game has plenty of meaning for the backup Eagles who will get a rare chance to show their ability in a regular season game. The top guy on that list is third-string quarterback Tanner McKee, who will make his first NFL start.

“This is my chance to play a significant amount of snaps, reps, and to go out and show what I’ve been working for this whole year,” McKee said. “Obviously, been putting in a ton of work for myself on the practice field and different things like that. I feel like I can showcase that and I’m super excited for the opportunity.”

The Eagles drafted McKee in the sixth round out of Stanford last season and have been developing him since. Last week against the Cowboys, McKee made his NFL debut in relief of the injured Kenny Pickett and played well. McKee completed 3 of 4 passes for 54 yards and 2 touchdowns. His only incompletion was a great ball to A.J. Brown in the end zone but Brown wasn’t able to keep his feet in bounds.

McKee, 24, said this is a big opportunity to show his team and the rest of the league what he can do. It’s also a chance for a big confidence-boost.

Even though McKee has barely played all year, he thinks he has improved as a quarterback.

“I feel like almost having another season under my belt with the offense, just feeling more comfortable,” he said. “Everything’s happening second-nature with different checks or where your eyes should be. Just not thinking as much, being able to see the defense, look off guys or just confirm things a little quicker with your eyes.”

    Harnessing Sydney Brown’s aggression

From the first play last Sunday against the Cowboys, Eagles second-year safety/special teamer Sydney Brown wasn’t afraid to mix it up with the opponent in a chippy game.

Eventually, Brown was tossed in the fourth quarter for body-slamming a Cowboys player in the tunnel after two Cowboys went after him.

“Unfortunate that it ended up with a brawl, but that’s just something we make a learning experience for Sydney,” Eagles special teams coordinator Michael Clay said. “When the whistle blows, so he doesn’t put anybody else in a bad predicament going forward. When you have a guy like Sydney Brown you’re not going to take away his tenacity. You got to make a learning point to hone in that emotion after the play stops just so you don’t put anybody else in a bad spot.”

The week before, starting safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected against the Commanders. And you can also toss in defensive tackle Jalen Carter as a player who routinely plays up to (and sometimes slightly over) the line of aggression.

It’s about finding that balance. But Clay definitely appreciates the edge and emotion that Brown brings to special teams.

“Sydney does it through a physicality standpoint, especially on the outside,” Clay said. “So he does bring an edge. You always want your guys to back each other up. I think they do a good job on special teams of backing each other up and trying to get out of those dustups and make sure we don’t lose anybody going forward.”

    Developing talent in the NFL

Nick Sirianni always talks about the developmental periods the Eagles hold after practice for their younger players. So as they get ready to play a game where a lot of those guys are going to play, he was asked more about those developmental periods.

Sirianni said that Frank Reich had similar practice periods in Indianapolis when Sirianni was an offensive coordinator and the Eagles had done it before he arrived too. So it was a no-brainer to keep doing them.

    Sirianni on Friday explained why.

“It’s just so important,” Sirianni said. “When you’re on the scout team and you’re not getting a lot of the reps with the starters, then you don’t rep your plays, right? You’re doing what a card says. It’s a lot different running a play when you hear it in the huddle and have to go process it and go do it, one of our plays, as opposed to looking at a card, ‘Do this.’ It’s just different. We’ve got to try to put them in positions to develop.”

While Sirianni said he didn’t want to give away all of their methods to develop talent, he did offer one more detail. On Friday or Saturday — it’s up to the position coach — those scout team players have an extra meeting to go over their practice reps. The Eagles have to always prepare their starters to play but they want to keep bringing along their backups too.

In a recent interview with NBC Sports Philadelphia, Saquon Barkley opened up about his respect for fellow running back Derrick Henry. Barkley praised Henry’s work ethic, physicality, and ability to dominate on the field.

Barkley, who is known for his own explosive playing style, spoke highly of Henry’s impressive performance in the 2020 season, where he rushed for over 2,000 yards and won the NFL rushing title.

“He’s a beast out there. The way he runs through defenders and makes big plays happen is truly inspiring,” Barkley said. “I have a lot of respect for his game and the way he approaches every matchup.”

The two running backs have faced off on the field before, with Henry’s Tennessee Titans coming out on top in their most recent meeting. Despite the competition, Barkley expressed admiration for Henry’s skillset and the impact he has on the game.

“It’s always a battle when you go up against a player like Derrick. He’s a force to be reckoned with, and I have nothing but respect for him,” Barkley added.

As both players continue to make their mark in the NFL, it’s clear that Barkley holds Henry in high regard both on and off the field. Fans can expect to see more explosive performances from these two talented running backs in the seasons to come.

  • John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks Get little respect in most rankings

John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks Get little respect in most rankings

Arkansas is No. 23 in the AP poll, but other respected rankings have the Razorbacks much lower on their list of the top men’s basketball teams. Time will tell which is most accurate.

In the rankings by Pomeroy, also known as kenpom.com, the Hogs are 38th, one spot ahead of unbeaten Oklahoma and behind nine other SEC schools. That site has Auburn at No. 1, followed by Duke and Tennessee, with Florida sixth and Alabama eighth.

The Razorbacks come in 24th in defensive rankings on Pomery, but just 55th in offense. An encouraging note is how much better the Hogs have played on offense in the last three weeks.

This is how much rankings matter in early January: Michigan is No. 11 on the Pomeroy list and the Hogs beat the Wolverines 89-87 on the big stage in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. It was a true test as both teams played to their potential in a roller-coaster affair featuring lengthy runs.

Despite that impressive performance and Arkansas’ current six-game winning streak, coach John Calipari’s team is 40th in the NCAA NET rankings. The major reason for the low ranking is the Hogs’ 1-2 mark against Quad 1 opponents.

The Hogs have no Quad 2 matchups yet and are 3-0 versus Quad 3s and 7-0 against Quad 4s. Location and ranking determine a Quad 1 opponent. Here are the parameters:
    * Home: A game played against a team ranked 1–30.
    * Neutral: A game played against a team ranked 1–50.
    * Away: A game played against a team ranked 1–75.

Calipari isn’t concerned with rankings today as he knows the Hogs’ SEC schedule is packed with Quad 1 games. Besides, rankings don’t mean much until mid-February when much of the conference seasons have played out and teams are jockeying for seeding in the NCAA Tournament.

Even then, seeding doesn’t always determine outcome. They call it March Madness for a reason.

But should Calipari be concerned that the Hogs’ non-conference schedule was too soft? Not at all; there are 18 SEC games and the conference tournament left to work on the season’s resume.

Besides, Calipari didn’t want a daunting non-conference schedule, especially with a new team that features just nine players in his rotation. He constructed that limited lineup with:
    * Only one returning Arkansas scholarship player.
    * Five transfers from three schools.
    * Three outstanding freshmen.

Will that group become a special team that reaches the Elite Eight or is the Sweet 16 even out of reach? Nobody knows, least of all computers that determine most of the rankings.

    Here’s what Calipari does know:
1 – His team is improving on both ends of the floor.
2 – Players are working better together each week.
3 – Players are increasingly comfortable in his system.
4 – Huge challenges lie ahead.

The first challenge arrives Saturday in Knoxville, Tenn., when the Hogs and Vols square off at noon on ESPN. Tennessee is No. 1 in the AP poll, undefeated, and impressive on both ends.

The Vols are second in the country in point differential per game (24.6) and in opponents’ shooting (34.5%).

Tennessee and Arkansas have three common opponents so far, and the Hogs lost to two of them. The Vols beat Baylor by 15 in the Bahamas, handled Miami by 13 in the Jimmy V Classic opener at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and edged Illinois by a bucket on the Fighting Illini’s court.

In contrast, Arkansas lost by 13 to Illinois and by five to Baylor — both on neutral courts — and won by three in the final minutes at Miami. The Hogs and Wolverines played the nightcap in New York following Tennessee’s win over Miami.

Michigan isn’t ranked in the AP poll, but is 30th when counting the “also received votes” category. The Wolverines are 16th in the NET rankings, five spots below their rank by Pomeroy.

Arkansas’ 30-point win Monday against Oakland didn’t help in the rankings. Oakland is ranked 207 in Pomeroy and 235 in NET.

Following the game, Calipari was asked his thoughts about the SEC and his team’s pre-conference action.

“Well, here’s what I’d say about the league,” Calipari said. “You could win seven league games and go 7-11. How many of those would be Quad One? Six. And plus, the Michigan (win). So, you have seven Quad One wins.”

He then compared that theoretical situation with a team from a lower conference with 24 wins, but none against Quad 1 teams. How would the NCAA Selection Committee compare those two teams when deciding seeds in March?

Obviously, being in the tougher conference is beneficial, but finishing at least in the top half of the SEC would be at least marginally impressive.

“So, that’s the thing about this league,” Calipari continued. “Take care of business. Coach your team, whether they’re playing well or not, you got to stay with them and you know, bust through.”

The Hogs’ first three SEC games are at Tennessee (12-0), then at home against Ole Miss (11-2) and Florida (13-0), ranked No. 24 and No. 6, respectively, in the AP poll.

“Our first three games are ridiculous,” Calipari said. “We could be a Top 20 team and go 0-3. So, you just keep coaching, you keep going, you keep doing it. But there are really good teams in this league and that’s what you always want, to have a league top-to-bottom that’s that way.

“Is it only top to bottom for us? No, it’s [that way for] everybody [in the SEC]. I’m worried just about us. You got the same games we got. Some of you even have a harder schedule than we got. So, it should be interesting.”

It’s no secret that John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks are one of the most talented teams in the nation. With a roster full of high-flying athletes and skilled shooters, they have the potential to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.

However, despite their impressive resume, the Razorbacks have been consistently overlooked in most national rankings. Many pundits have failed to give them the credit they deserve, ranking them lower than they should be.

This lack of respect is puzzling, considering the Razorbacks’ impressive wins and strong performances against top-ranked teams. They have proven time and time again that they belong among the elite programs in college basketball.

As March Madness approaches, it’s time for the Razorbacks to prove their doubters wrong and make a statement on the national stage. With John Calipari at the helm, there’s no doubt that they have what it takes to shock the college basketball world and show everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with.

The Magic of Magikarp: Why This Underdog Pokemon Deserves Your Respect

In the world of Pokemon, there are many powerful and iconic creatures that are beloved by fans all over the world. From the electric Pikachu to the fire-breathing Charizard, there are plenty of Pokemon that are known for their strength and prowess in battle. But there is one Pokemon that often gets overlooked and underestimated, despite its undeniable charm and potential – Magikarp.

At first glance, Magikarp may seem like a weak and useless Pokemon. It flops around on land, unable to do much of anything besides splash about. Its movepool is limited, and its stats are abysmal. But what many people don’t realize is that Magikarp is hiding a secret power that, when unlocked, can transform it into one of the most formidable Pokemon in the game.

Magikarp’s true strength lies in its ability to evolve into Gyarados, a fearsome Water/Flying type Pokemon known for its incredible power and ferocity in battle. Gyarados is a force to be reckoned with, boasting high attack and special attack stats, as well as access to a wide range of powerful moves like Hydro Pump, Dragon Dance, and Earthquake. With the right training and strategy, Gyarados can sweep through entire teams of Pokemon with ease.

But it’s not just Gyarados’ strength that makes Magikarp deserving of respect – it’s also the journey that this little fish Pokemon takes to reach its full potential. Magikarp is a symbol of perseverance and determination, as it struggles and perseveres through adversity to become something greater than anyone could have imagined. Its evolution into Gyarados is a testament to the power of hard work and dedication, showing that even the most seemingly insignificant creatures can rise to greatness with enough effort.

In addition to its strength and symbolism, Magikarp also has a lovable and endearing quality that makes it impossible not to root for. Its goofy, derpy expression and floppy movements have endeared it to fans of the Pokemon series for years, and its underdog status only adds to its charm. Magikarp may not be the flashiest or most powerful Pokemon out there, but it has a special kind of magic that makes it impossible not to love.

So the next time you come across a Magikarp in your Pokemon journey, don’t dismiss it as weak or useless. Instead, recognize the potential and power that lies within this humble creature, and give it the respect and admiration it deserves. Magikarp may be an underdog, but it’s a Pokemon that truly embodies the spirit of perseverance and the magic of transformation – and that’s something worth celebrating.

  • Ultimate respect, BSU’s Danielson says he’s been a fan of James Franklin from afar

Ultimate respect, BSU’s Danielson says he’s been a fan of James Franklin from afar

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (Nittany Nation) — At 52-years-old, somehow James Franklin is the oldest remaining coach in the College Football Playoffs.

“I guess first thing is I probably don’t have a whole lot of years left, is what you’re saying,” joked Franklin.

It’s an intriguing revelation that came to light Monday on Fiesta Bowl eve when Penn State’s Franklin and Boise State’s Spencer Danielson spoke with the media one final time.

As coaches like Nick Saban and Mack Brown retire in their 70s, College football is shifting younger and younger. BSU’s Danielson (36) is one of four head coaches still coaching in the CFP who is in their 30s. While Ryan Day (45) Kirby Smart (49) Steve Sarkisian (50) and Franklin (52) make up the “grizzled veterans” club.

“To me, I think it’s a positive,” said Franklin. “You see it in the NFL. You see it in college football. Obviously, guys like Spencer have earned this opportunity. Then once he was able to get his foot in the door and get in that seat, he’s run with it, which I think will create other opportunities for other guys, just like I’m trying to create opportunities for guys as well.”

While Franklin, who was a relatively young hire in 2014, has spent a decade with Penn State, Danielson was hired in 2017 as a grad assistant. He took over as an interim head coach last season and is in his first season as the head coach. He instantly found success leading the Broncos to a Mountain West title and the Fiesta Bowl.

“I love being around these kids, and that’s why everything about it for me is developing these guys for life,” he said. “It’s not because I love football more than somebody else. It’s not about chasing other jobs. I believe guys put me here to develop people and it’s all about these kids. So every day I’m around them, I’m fired up to be in the building.”

While Danielson and Franklin’s paths haven’t crossed much, this is Penn State and Boise’s first ever meeting, they did once years ago. Danielson reflected on a coaching conference he attended in the early years where he saw Franklin speak, he said ever since then, he’s had a ton of admiration for him.

“He was a Division II football player. Seeing his journey, seeing the success that Coach Franklin has had everywhere he goes,” he said. “Obviously [I] did not know him. He did not know me. But just so much respect from afar and seeing the product that is continually put on the field in every spot he’s ever been in, obviously for the past decade of Penn State, the success they’ve had, he’s just been someone that I’ve admired from afar for a long time. “

As a player for Boise State University, I have the utmost respect for Penn State head coach James Franklin. I have been a fan of his coaching style and leadership from afar for quite some time. Franklin’s ability to motivate and inspire his players is truly remarkable, and it is something that I aspire to emulate in my own career.

Watching Franklin lead his team to success on the field while also emphasizing the importance of academics and character development off the field has been truly inspiring. He is a role model for all young athletes, and I am grateful for the example he sets for us all.

I hope to one day have the opportunity to meet Coach Franklin and learn from him firsthand. Until then, I will continue to watch and admire his coaching prowess from afar. Ultimate respect to you, Coach Franklin. Thank you for being a shining example of what it means to be a leader in the world of college football.
