• Chris Evans ‘Happily Retired’ from Marvel, Denies Report He’s Returning

Chris Evans is seemingly shutting down claims that he will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain America.

In Esquire‘s new profile on Anthony Mackie ahead of the release of Captain America: Brave New World, Evans denied recent reports that he’ll be back as Steve Rogers in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday.

“That’s not true,” said Evans, 43, when asked about the December 2024 report, explaining that similar rumors “happen every couple years” since he last played the character in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

“I’ve just stopped responding to it,” he added, quipping, “Yeah, no — happily retired!”

As Marvel fans know, Sam Wilson (Mackie, 46) finally embraced the Captain America shield during the events of the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, after serving as the first Captain’s sidekick Falcon, and takes the lead in the upcoming Brave New World.

Mackie told Esquire with a laugh that he “didn’t know” about the rumors of Evans potentially returning, explaining, “I talked to Chris a few weeks ago and it wasn’t on the table then.”

“At least, he didn’t tell me it was on the table, because I asked him,” he continued. “I was like, ‘You know, they said they’re bringing everyone back for [Doomsday]. Are you coming back?’ ”

“He goes, ‘Oh, you know, I’m happily retired,’ ” Mackie added.

Evans did reprise his role as his pre-MCU Fantastic Four character Johnny Storm/Human Torch in last year’s Deadpool & Wolverine for a surprise cameo.

As for Cap, Evans previously said during a November 2023 appearance on The View that he “always see(s) those reports” about him returning as the popular character.

“Every couple months, someone says that they’re getting [Robert Downey Jr.] and [Chris] Hemsworth and Scarlett [Johansson], and everyone’s coming back,” he said, adding, “No one’s spoken to me about it.”

Downey, 59, was later confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024 to be returning to the MCU for the next two Avengers movies, Doomsday and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars — not as his previous superhero character Tony Stark/Iron Man, who died in Endgame, but as villain Doctor Doom.

Captain America: Brave New World is in theaters Feb. 14.

In a recent interview with Variety, Chris Evans, best known for his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, revealed that he is “happily retired” from the franchise and denied recent reports suggesting that he is returning to the role.

Evans, who portrayed the iconic superhero for nearly a decade, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play such a beloved character but emphasized that he is ready to move on to new projects.

“I loved playing Captain America and will always be grateful for the experience, but I feel like I have said goodbye to that chapter of my life,” Evans said. “I am excited to explore new roles and challenges in my career.”

Fans of the MCU may be disappointed to hear that Evans has no plans to reprise his role as Captain America, but they can look forward to seeing him in upcoming projects, including the highly anticipated “Knives Out 2” and “The Gray Man.”

While it may be the end of an era for Evans in the MCU, his legacy as Captain America will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of fans around the world.

CLEVELAND, OH - JUNE 16: Andre Iguodala #9 of the Golden State Warriors kisses the Larry O'Brien Trophy after a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena During Game Six of the 2015 NBA Finals on June 16, 2015 in Cleveland,Ohio NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges and agrees that, by downloading and/or using this Photograph, user is consenting to the terms and conditions of the Getty Images License Agreement. Andre Iguodala is set to become the seventh player to have his number retired by the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors will retire Iguodala’s No. 9 after a home game against the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 23, the team announced Tuesday.

    Marc J. Spears @MarcJSpears

The Warriors will retire Andre Iguodala’s #9 jersey on Feb. 23, following the team’s game against the Mavericks at Chase Center, making him just the seventh player in Warriors franchise history to have his jersey number retired by the organization: pic.twitter.com/twswTQALjW

Iguodala reached six NBA Finals, earned the 2015 NBA Final MVP award and won four championships with the Warriors. He played seven seasons over two separate stints with the franchise before retiring after his 19th NBA season in 2023.

The Warriors acquired Iguodala in a sign-and-trade deal in July 2013. He went on to play a key role in the Warriors’ run to the 2015 title, defending LeBron James to help the franchise earn their first championship since 1975.

Iguodala retired as one of the most productive postseason competitors in Warriors history, ranking top-five in assists, steals and three-pointers made through 111 playoff games with the franchise.

“Andre will go down as one of the smartest, shrewdest and most unique and successful players ever to wear a Warriors uniform,” Warriors CEO Joe Lacob said in a statement. “We thought all of that could be true when we acquired him in 2013, but the reality—four titles, six Finals appearances, a Finals MVP—exceeded even our wildest imaginations.

“He was the perfect player and person at the perfect time for our team, and the sacrifice he made in coming off the bench in 2014 sent a message that he came here to help us do one thing: win. The proof is in the rafters, and his number belongs alongside the banners he helped us raise.”

The Warriors have previously retired six numbers. Iguodala is now set to join Wilt Chamberlain’s No. 13, Tom Meschery’s No. 14, Alvin Attles’ No. 16, Chris Mullin’s No. 17, Rick Barry’s No. 24 and Nate Thurmond’s No. 42 in the rafters at Chase Center.

Iguodala is the first, and won’t be the last, member of the Warriors roster that won four titles between 2015 and 2022 to see his number retired by the franchise. Klay Thompson’s No. 11, Draymond Green’s No. 23, Kevin Durant’s No. 35 and Stephen Curry’s No. 30 are candidates for the honor following the conclusion of their NBA careers.

The Mavericks and Warriors tip off at 3:30 p.m. ET. Thompson, who was also with the Warriors for all four title runs before joining the Mavs ahead of the 2024-25 season, is set to be in attendance for Iguodala’s jersey raising.

The Golden State Warriors have announced that they will be retiring Andre Iguodala’s No. 9 jersey in honor of his contributions to the team. Iguodala, who was a key player in the Warriors’ 2015 NBA Finals victory, will forever be remembered for his incredible performance during that championship run.

Iguodala was named the 2015 NBA Finals MVP after averaging 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. His clutch plays and defensive prowess were instrumental in helping the Warriors secure their first championship in 40 years.

Throughout his six seasons with the Warriors, Iguodala was known for his versatility, leadership, and unselfish play. He was a key component of the team’s “Death Lineup” and played a crucial role in their three NBA championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018.

Warriors fans will always remember Iguodala for his memorable moments on the court, including his game-winning three-pointer in Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

Iguodala’s jersey retirement ceremony is set to take place during the upcoming 2022-2023 NBA season, where he will join the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green in the rafters of the Chase Center.

  • Retired NBA forward’s LaMelo Ball All-Star take won’t age well

    Hot takes.

Some are good, and some are bad. But Chandler Parsons, who last played in the NBA in the 2019-20 season, spoke out about LaMelo Ball not becoming an All-Star starter. And let’s just say Parsons’ take was quite controversial.

During an episode of “Run It Back,” Parsons and his co-hosts discussed Ball not getting enough votes to start in the 2025 All-Star Game despite placing first in fan voting.

The retired forward said, “It’s not a snub because you can’t reward a guy on a bottom team like that. The guy is having a heck of a year — his numbers are through the roof. He’s averaging 30-plus points, whatever it is. But we’re talking an NBA starter — I think you have to be on a relevant team or somewhat of a good team to get that.”

LaMelo Ball deserves to start despite Parsons’ sentiment

Okay, the Hornets are not the best team by any stretch compared to the rest of the league, but Ball surely deserves a starting spot. His numbers prove it (as Parsons mentioned) and he’s at that point in his career (fifth season) where he has become the face of the franchise. Arguably, it all began when he first threw on a Charlotte jersey.

The roster around Ball is not at the point of reaching greater heights yet, but until that happens, the Chino Hills, California native will have to continue standing out in the spotlight amongst the rest of his teammates.

The most interesting part from a voting aspect is that Ball won the fan vote — so logically, why not have him as a starter? The fans want to watch him play, so let the people have it — this all intertwines with the discussion of why the viewership has been down.

There’s no way to argue with what the fans want — they are the ones paying for tickets.

Ball will receive the credit he deserves, and one way or another, he already has. The 2021 Rookie of the Year should be a lock to play in the midseason showcase, even though his second All-Star berth would again see him suiting up as a reserve. However, it will be sooner rather than later when he finally secures an All-Star starting spot.

    At least that’s the hope.

Retired NBA forward’s LaMelo Ball All-Star take won’t age well

Former NBA forward turned analyst Charles Barkley recently made a bold prediction, stating that rookie LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets would be an All-Star in the near future. While Ball has shown flashes of brilliance in his young career, it may be premature to anoint him as an All-Star just yet.

Many critics argue that Ball’s lack of efficiency and consistency, particularly on the defensive end, could hinder his chances of earning an All-Star nod. Additionally, the Eastern Conference is stacked with talented guards, making it even more challenging for Ball to break through.

Only time will tell if Barkley’s prediction will come to fruition, but for now, it seems that the retired NBA forward’s take on LaMelo Ball’s All-Star potential may not age well.

  • Brooklyn Nets vs. Miami Heat preview: Vince Carter gets his jersey retired!

Cold outside, and colder on the court. The Brooklyn Nets took on a reeling Phoenix Suns team on Wednesday night. However, the home team couldn’t heat it up and lost by 24 points. It extended the losing streak to four and home losing streak to six.

The opponent tonight is still within playoff range, but it won’t be easy to get there. The Miami Heat have been dealing with a lot, but Erik Spoelstra always has his guys ready to compete. They didn’t help themselves on Thursday night as they got dominated by the Milwaukee Bucks and lost by 29 points. They have some cushion for ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings ahead of the Chicago Bulls, but that can always slip away if they’re not careful.

    Where to follow the game

YES Network on TV. WFAN on radio. Tip after 6:00 p.m. ET.

    Injuries

No Bojan Bogdanovic, Cam Thomas, Maxwell Lewis, Ziaire Williams, De’Anthony Melton, or Trendon Watford. Cam Johnson missed Wednesday’s game with a right ankle sprain. He’ll miss at least the next week. D’Angelo Russell missed the game due to left hamstring tightness injury management. He is listed as questionable due to personal reasons. Ben Simmons has been dealing with an illness. He’s questionable as well.

Could CamJ have played his last game in Brooklyn? The Nets have five games before the trade deadline and he may not play any of them.

Dru Smith and Josh Richardson are out. Somebody else is missing, which we’ll get to momentarily.

    The game

Miami won the first meeting. These teams wrap up the season series in February.

So, there’s a lot going on. Jimmy Butler wants his money. The initial plan was to ball out this season and cash out in the summer. The plan hasn’t been working well, and he wants out of Miami. The Heat in turn have upped the passive aggressiveness in words and in deeds. And now…

Long breakups tend to the most difficult and troublesome. There’s a lot to think and feel about Butler, and Katie Heindl of Basketball Feelings walks us through it:

To go back to the chyrons, because I can’t quite get over them, it strikes me not as an aberration that Butler might have, or may still, do or say something disruptive to the Heat, to Riley’s streamlined club, to the tidy bounds of basketball — the latter is a fantasy anyway. It actually strikes me as a feat. To have your public presence be given the weight of a weather event or existential crisis; to be heralded.

Personalities are a dime a dozen. In our rapid-fire age of creators and clipping the most mundane moments of our days as worth chronicling, personalities shift with the algorithm. Presence, on the other hand, has weight. A slow build, usually a lifetime in the making, with no way to affirm or vet one other than through gut reaction. Your eyes catch, cannot be pulled away; the hairs on your arms go up. You feel magnetized, heedless to the pull. You can’t fit that on a chyron.

True indeed. At the mothership, Jayson Buford has more:

Before he was suspended, Butler was lazy, taking threes where he would have driven the paint, jogging back when he would have ran back. Even teammates like Bam Adebayo questioned whether his heart was it. Looking at Butler now is like looking at an outsider, distrustful of the government above him. Spoelstra and Riley are now calming the fuss in an attempt to keep the conversation about what the team is doing on the court. Is it possible that, despite all of his arrogance, Butler is in the same predicament — feuding with his bosses who are tired of his immaturity — as the rest of the players in the league?

    It appears so.

In the meantime, Tyler Herro is the lead option for Miami. He’s been dealing with a bit of a groin injury, but he’s available tonight. He’s taken on a bigger role on offense this season, and it’s been paying off. He’s at career highs in points (24 per game) and shooting (47.4 percent from the field and 40.4% from 3-point range). He’s a candidate to be named an All Star reserve and he would be a welcome addition to the festivities in San Francisco this year.

The Heat always find gold where you least expect it, and they may have done it again. Kel’el Ware became a permanent fixture in the rotation on December 29, and he’s been a godsend in the front court. Since the 29th, Ware has averaged around 13 points and seven rebounds a night on 59/41/72 shooting splits. So far, he’s shown himself to be a pretty good pick and roll partner.

At just 20 years old, Miami might have found a solid player that can help them hang on to a playoff spot.

Ware will do battle with Nic Claxton on the inside. We’re waiting for an impactful game from Claxton as he needs one for himself and to remind Nets fans of how good he is.

Offense is so hard to come by for the Nets. The effort is certainly there, but the results haven’t been. In January, the Nets are 29th in offensive rating at just 103.1. The only team worse? The injury ravaged Orlando Magic. With Johnson out again, it’ll be even harder for the Nets to make things shake. If Russell is back, it’ll give them somebody who might be able to carry the team and go off in a major way.

    Player to watch: Bam Adebayo

He’s the franchise, and as he goes, so goes Miami. It’s been a tough year as his numbers are down across the board and off the court drama has made the work a lot more challenging for the Heat. Even still, Bam is a very good all around center as he checks a lot of different boxes. He’s a very good passer, terrific defender, and someone who can go and get it on offense. If the Heat want to escape the play in range, they’re gonna need Adebayo to take it up a few notches.

More Noah Clowney will do the Nets good. This Nets season is about development, and the more minutes he gets, the more he gets to find his role in the NBA. He’s made at least two three pointers in five out of his last six games. Some of the misses are incredibly loud, but you have to stick with it and keep firing when you’re open. For young players, you learn by doing and with CJ out, Clowney will get another start at the four position.

    The man of the hour

Miami Heat v New Jersey Nets - Game 3

Tonight, Vince Carter will have his number 15 retired by the Nets. In 4.5 seasons with the team, Carter averaged 23.6 points per game and made the All-Star Game three times. Carter was a success on the court, in the community, at the box office, and helped provide the last bit of playoff success the New Jersey Nets had. Carter was a great Net and has continued to be a fan favorite so many years removed from his playing days. It’s going to be a festive atmosphere tonight and Carter will get the love and adoration from Nets fans that he deserves.

The highly anticipated matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat just got even more exciting as former NBA star Vince Carter will have his jersey retired during the game. Carter, who played for both teams during his illustrious career, will be honored for his contributions to the game and the impact he had on both franchises.

The Nets, who are currently sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference, will be looking to extend their winning streak and continue their dominance on the court. Led by superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Nets have been a force to be reckoned with this season and will be looking to put on a show for their fans.

On the other hand, the Miami Heat are in a battle for playoff positioning and will be looking to secure a much-needed win against a tough opponent. Led by Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, the Heat will be looking to make a statement and show that they are a team to be taken seriously in the Eastern Conference.

With the added excitement of Vince Carter’s jersey retirement ceremony, this game is sure to be one for the books. Be sure to tune in and catch all the action as two of the NBA’s top teams go head-to-head in what is sure to be an epic showdown.

  • Wozniacki denies that she has retired: Chronic disease forced her to quit Australian Open

Caroline Wozniacki says in an interview with Eurosport at physical problems prevented her from taking part in the Australian Open.

“My body doesn’t feel great. When I started training in the pre-season I had problems with my body, of course also due to my rheumatoid arthritis, so it has been a struggle,” says Caroline Wozniacki to Eurosport.

On top of the cancellation, there has been speculation that Wozniacki would end her career, but that is not the plan.

“I hope after a short break to be back soon,” says Wozniacki.

Her last game was at the US Open in late summer last year where she reached the Round of 16.

The former world No 1 is currently nr. 72 in the world rankings.

Former world No. 1 tennis player Caroline Wozniacki has denied rumors that she has retired from the sport. Wozniacki, who recently withdrew from the Australian Open due to a chronic autoimmune disease, took to social media to clarify her status.

In a statement posted on her Instagram account, Wozniacki said, “I have not retired. I am facing some challenges with my health, and I need to take some time to focus on my treatment and recovery. I will miss competing at the Australian Open this year, but I hope to be back on the court soon.”

Wozniacki, who announced last year that she would be retiring after the 2020 season, has been open about her battle with rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes joint pain and inflammation. Despite the challenges she faces, the Danish tennis star remains determined to continue her career.

Fans and fellow players have shown their support for Wozniacki, sending messages of encouragement and well wishes. While her absence from the Australian Open is disappointing, her health and well-being are the top priority.

We wish Caroline Wozniacki a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back on the court soon. Stay strong, Caroline! #FightOnCaro

  • New Social Security Fairness Act benefits retired railroad workers

If you’re a retired railroad worker or the spouse or survivor of one, several important changes are coming to your pensions.

Previously, the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) reduced the tier-1 amount of an individual’s railroad retirement annuity because of his or her pension.

Now, more money is going back into the pockets of many SMART-TD members.

Signed on January 5 by President Biden, the Social Security Fairness Act ends two statutory reductions (the non-covered service pension (NCSP) and the public service pension (PSP)) that are now known as the windfall elimination provision (WEP) and the government pension offset (GPO).

When the NCSP reduction and PSP offset were enacted over 40 years ago, the initial goal was to equalize social security benefit formulas for workers and their spouses with similar earnings histories.

Calculated based on someone’s lifetime earnings, the NCSP reduction lowered the individual’s primary insurance amount, which ultimately determined the monthly tier-1-annuity amount.

The PSP offset further reduced the tier-1 annuity for spouses or survivors by two-thirds of the gross public pension amount payable to those who fall under either category.

Local government employees with less than 30 years of coverage who also receive a public service pension for work not covered by social security and some federal employees hired before December 31, 1983, are some of the individuals who were affected by the NCSP reduction.

Railroad spouses and widow(er)s who were not covered by social security during the last 60 months of employment with the pension-paying government entity but received a public pension based on their own earnings fall under the category of those who were affected by the PSP reduction.

Thanks to the legislation and the repeal of both provisions, anyone who was impacted by the NCSP reduction and PSP offset will have their full tier-1 benefit amounts restored for months retroactive to December 2023 and future monthly benefit payments.

However, it’s important to note that railroad spouses and widow(er)s whose public employment was covered by social security (including federal employees hired after December 31, 1983) and those who are receiving a public pension not based on their own earnings, were not impacted by the repeal. The Social Security Fairness Act also does not impact existing laws requiring offset of railroad retirement annuities for any social security benefit, public disability benefit, or workers’ compensation received. That means that if you’re receiving an RRB and social security benefit, your tier-1 amount will continue to be offset by the social security benefit.

Click to monitor progress on the implementation of the new law. ►

Members do not need to take specific action, except for those who have moved or changed banking information. If that applies to your situation, you are asked to report these details to the RRB’s toll-free number by calling (877) 772-5772.

The newly passed Social Security Fairness Act has brought a wave of positive changes for retired railroad workers. This act aims to provide fair and equitable benefits for those who have dedicated their lives to working on the rails.

One of the key benefits of this act is the elimination of the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO) for retired railroad workers. These provisions often reduced the Social Security benefits of retired railroad workers, causing financial strain and unfairness in retirement.

With the repeal of these provisions, retired railroad workers can now receive their full Social Security benefits without any reductions. This will provide much-needed financial security for these hardworking individuals who have contributed to the nation’s railway system.

Additionally, the Social Security Fairness Act includes provisions for cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) to ensure that retired railroad workers’ benefits keep pace with inflation. This will help retirees maintain their standard of living and meet the rising costs of healthcare, housing, and other necessities.

Overall, the Social Security Fairness Act is a significant victory for retired railroad workers, ensuring that they receive the benefits they deserve after years of service on the rails. This act represents a step towards greater fairness and equity in the retirement system for all workers, including those in the railroad industry.

Retired Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone joins Morning Joe to discuss filing protective orders on those who attacked him on January 6. President Trump on Monday issued roughly 1,500 pardons and commuted the sentences of 14 of his supporters in connection with the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

Retired officer Michael Fanone, who was assaulted during the January 6th Capitol insurrection, has filed for protective orders against several individuals who have been harassing and threatening him online.

Fanone, who suffered a traumatic brain injury during the attack, has been outspoken about his experience and has been advocating for accountability for those responsible. However, his advocacy has made him a target for harassment and threats from supporters of the insurrection.

In the protective orders filed, Fanone is seeking to prevent these individuals from contacting him or his family, as well as from posting any further threatening or harassing messages online.

Fanone’s attorney, James Smith, stated that the harassment and threats have taken a toll on his client’s mental health and well-being, and that they are taking the necessary steps to protect him and his family.

This situation highlights the ongoing repercussions of the January 6th insurrection and the toll it has taken on those who were directly affected. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of holding those responsible for the attack accountable and ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.

  • Julian Sayin talks reasons for leaving Alabama football after Nick Saban retired

For a few practices in California, Julian Sayin was an Alabama football player. The former five-star quarterback, who committed to the Crimson Tide in the 2024 recruiting class, enrolled early and joined the team for practice ahead of its appearance in the College Football Playoff’s Rose Bowl semifinal against Michigan.

He quickly earned rave reviews from Alabama’s coaching staff.

“Julian is an outstanding player,” Nick Saban said. “The ball comes out of his hand real nice. He’s accurate. He’s smart. He’s had a great high school career and been one of the best players, most productive players in the country on a very consistent basis and we like him a lot.”

A few weeks later, everything changed. Saban walked into a meeting and told the Tide he was retiring as football coach.

Sayin, one of the most coveted quarterback prospects in the country, was shocked.

“It was definitely a little surprising,” Sayin told AL.com Saturday in Atlanta, as his current Ohio State team prepares to play in the national championship on Monday.

After Saban retired, UA athletics director Greg Bryne tapped Kalen DeBoer as his replacement. Shortly thereafter, Sayin entered the transfer portal.

He explained that decision on Saturday.

“I just didn’t really have a relationship with them,” Sayin said. “Just felt like I should enter the portal and ended up at a great spot here.”

He landed at Ohio State, a choice based mostly on head coach Ryan Day.

“Coach (Chip) Kelly wasn’t actually here when I committed, but coach Day and the way he’s always been able to develop quarterbacks,” Sayin said of that decision process. “Just wanted to be part of that.”

Sayin has spent his freshman year backing up Will Howard in Columbus. He saw action in four games throughout the 2024 season, including a brief appearance in OSU’s playoff win over Tennessee.

The Carlsbad, Calif. native enters the championship game with five completions on 12 attempts, for 84 yards and a touchdown. When asked about the youngster’s potential ceiling, Buckeye offensive coordinator Kelly took a similar tone to Saban.

“As high as he wants it to be,” Kelly told reporters in Atlanta. “I think he’s a tremendously talented player. He’s got a great work ethic. We’re excited about him. He came in early so he got spring ball with us. Did a good job in preseason camp.”

Sayin will have a chance to win the starting job for Ohio State next season. Kelly said he expects the QB group in spring football to include Sayin, Lincoln Kienholtz and incoming freshman Tavien St. Clair.

In the meantime, Sayin said he felt improved as a player since arriving in Columbus.

“A lot of just learning about the game,” Sayin said. “Learning more about how to be a quarterback in college football.”

Ohio State and Notre Dame are scheduled to play in the national championship game at 6:30 CT Monday in Atlanta. The game will be aired on ESPN.

As Julian Sayin, a former player for the Alabama football team, recently announced his decision to leave the program following head coach Nick Saban’s retirement, fans and analysts alike have been speculating on the reasons behind his departure.

In a candid interview, Sayin revealed that while he has the utmost respect for Saban and all that he has accomplished at Alabama, he felt that it was time for a change in his football career. Sayin mentioned that he had been contemplating this decision for quite some time, and Saban’s retirement simply served as a catalyst for him to finally make the leap.

Sayin also mentioned that he wants to explore different opportunities and experiences outside of the Alabama football program. While he will always cherish the memories and lessons learned during his time at Alabama, Sayin believes that it is important for him to continue growing and evolving as a player and a person.

Fans of the Alabama football team have expressed mixed reactions to Sayin’s decision, with some understanding and respecting his choice, while others are disappointed to see him leave the program. Regardless, Sayin remains grateful for his time at Alabama and is excited for the next chapter in his football career.

As Sayin embarks on this new journey, it will be interesting to see where his talents and abilities take him next. Whether he joins another college football program, pursues a career in the NFL, or explores other opportunities in the world of sports, there is no doubt that Julian Sayin will continue to make a name for himself in the world of football.
