More News: WWE Legend Adam Copeland Convinced Fellow Former Champion To Join AEW

In a recent, extensive interview on “Insight With Chris Van Vliet,” Copeland revealed that he had about 18 months left on his AEW contract and a pretty full dance card until then.

“I have about a year and a half left right now,” The former two-time AEW TNT Champion said. “A lot of business trying to get done in that time, there’s a lot of people I want to work within that time, and I look at it already and I think in the six months I’ve been there I think I’m close to 20 matches already.”

Copeland also stated that he plans to retire after this run of matches, although he did not give a specific date. Instead, he confirmed that he plans to make it permanent this time.

“When I retire this time,” Copeland said. “I truly — I’m going to come home and be dad, and occasionally act, and walk my dogs.”

Copeland originally retired in 2011 due to a career-threatening neck injury, which was expected to end his wrestling career. Despite this, he made occasional WWE appearances until making a surprise return in the 2020 Royal Rumble.

Copeland was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest wrestlers of his era.

More News: AEW Superstar Adam Copeland’s In-Ring Return is Imminent: Report

In a shocking turn, on October 1, 2023, Copeland debuted in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) following the WrestleDream pay-per-view event. Appearing under his real name and the iconic “Rated R Superstar” moniker, Copeland’s arrival marked a new chapter in his storied career.

Unfortunately, Copeland suffered a serious leg injury at AEW Double or Nothing 2024 when he leapt off the top of the cage. Despite successfully defending the AEW TNT Championship against Malakai Black, AEW Executive Vice Presidents Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson (The Young Bucks) stripped him of the TNT title on the May 29 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Despite the setback, Copeland is expected to make his return to AEW “imminently,” with speculation pointing to his comeback at the start of the new year. All things considered, this very well may turn out to be the last rounds of a legendary career.

  • Former Deion Sanders Teammate Reveals Why He Can Coach in College Until ’70 or 80′

Former Deion Sanders Teammate Reveals Why He Can Coach in College Until ’70 or 80′

Deion Sanders is getting ready to coach in his first bowl game for the Colorado Buffaloes, set to face off against the BYU Cougars on Saturday in the Alamo Bowl. Sanders, who has been quite successful in his second season leading the Buffaloes to a 9-3 overall record, has become the subject of much speculation about his future.

Whether with merit or not, there has been a substantial amount of discussion about Sanders and the possibility of someday coaching at the NFL level.

One of his former teammates, retired quarterback Bobby Hebert, recently talked about Sanders’s personality and why it could keep him in college as a successful leader there for years to come.

“When he is 70 or 80, he’ll still be able to relate to 20-year-olds,” Hebert said to The Athletic. “I would bet he’s an unbelievable recruiter.”

Hebert praised Sanders’s relating skillset from during his playing days, describing how he could connect with just about anyone in the Falcons locker room regardless of background or generation.

As the college sports landscape continues to shift dramatically with NIL, causing previously successful coaches like Nick Saban to leave the game behind, it could be circumstantially advantageous for someone like Sanders.

Sanders, now 57, coaching in college for twenty more years? After the progress he’s made in just two years, it’s worth imagining what he could do with a longer runway.

Former Deion Sanders Teammate Reveals Why He Can Coach in College Until ’70 or 80′

Deion Sanders, the legendary NFL player turned college football coach, has been making waves in the coaching world with his innovative approach and charismatic personality. And according to one of his former teammates, Sanders may have what it takes to coach well into his golden years.

In a recent interview, former NFL player and Sanders’ teammate, Emmitt Smith, shared his thoughts on why Sanders has the potential to continue coaching in college for decades to come.

“Deion has always had a unique ability to connect with players and motivate them to be their best,” Smith explained. “He’s a natural leader and his passion for the game is infectious. I have no doubt that he could coach well into his 70s or even 80s because he has that special gift that few coaches possess.”

Sanders, who is currently the head coach at Jackson State University, has already made a significant impact on the program in just a short amount of time. With his high-energy coaching style and emphasis on discipline and teamwork, Sanders has quickly turned Jackson State into a force to be reckoned with in college football.

As Sanders continues to inspire and mentor young athletes, it’s clear that his coaching career is far from over. And if Emmitt Smith’s predictions are correct, we may be seeing Sanders on the sidelines for many more years to come.

  • Jason Reitman Reveals Chevy Chase’s Reaction To ‘Saturday Night’

Jason Reitman Reveals Chevy Chase’s Reaction To ‘Saturday Night’

Although Jason Reitman has earned rave reviews for his depiction of the 90 minutes leading up to the first Saturday Night Live, some critiques sting a bit more than others.

The Saturday Night co-writer and director revealed original SNL cast member Chevy Chase‘s reaction to the film, which fellow sketch comedy alum David Spade called “an exact Chevy thing” to say.

“So, Chevy comes in to watch the movie, and he is there with [wife] Jayni and they watch the film, and he’s in the group, and he comes up to me after and he pats me on the shoulder and goes, ‘Well, you should be embarrassed,’” he told Spade and Dana Carvey on their Fly on the Wall podcast.

Spade said of Chase’s response, “You couldn’t even write it better.” Carvey added that Chase “knows that’s funny, like that’s the roughest thing you could say to a director in the moment, or right up there.”

Reitman recounted of the conversation: “I’m trying to balance it, because, in my head, I know, ‘Alright, I’m getting my own Chevy Chase moment that’s 1,000 percent only for me right now.’ And from a comedy point-of-view that’s really pure, and that’s kind of cool. But also, I just spent like two years of my life recreating this moment and trying to capture Chevy perfectly, and also even in the ego, find the humanity and give him a moment to be loved — no, none of that shit played. He’s not talking about that stuff.”

Gabriel LaBelle as Lorne Michaels, Kaia Gerber as Jacqueline Carlin and Cory Michael Smith as Chevy Chase in Saturday Night (2024) (Hopper Stone/Sony Pictures Releasing/Courtesy Everett Collection)

Explaining his decision to cast Cory Michael Smith as Chase, Reitman said he “tried to identify one thing” about each character, which for Chase was “an ego that needs to be humbled.”

Although Smith previously admitted he “didn’t have the privilege of talking to Chevy” before crafting his portrayal, he’d gotten word the 2x Golden Globe nominee had seen the film.

“I do hope that he saw a younger version of himself, which maybe that’s a joyful experience or not,” Smith told People. “But this man played such a huge part in me wanting to be a performer and loving movies, so it was an honor to play him.”

Saturday Night takes place on Oct. 11, 1975, as a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers change television forever. Formerly titled SNL 1975, the film tells the true story of what happened behind the scenes that night in the 90 minutes leading up to the first-ever broadcast of SNL.

The film also stars Gabriel LaBelle as Lorne Michaels, Rachel Sennott as Rosie Shuster, Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykroyd, Ella Hunt as Gilda Radner, Emily Fairn as Laraine Newman, Matt Wood as John Belushi, Lamorne Morris as Garrett Morris, Kim Matula as Jane Curtin, Nicholas Braun as Andy Kaufman/Jim Henson, Cooper Hoffman as Dick Ebersol, Kaia Gerber as Jacqueline Carlin and Willem Dafoe as David Tebet.

Jason Reitman, director of the upcoming film “Saturday Night,” recently shared Chevy Chase’s reaction to the highly anticipated project. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reitman revealed that Chase, who famously starred in the original “Saturday Night Live” cast, was thrilled about the film and excited to see how it would all come together.

Reitman explained that Chase had a great sense of humor about the project and was eager to see how the film would capture the essence of the iconic sketch comedy show. Chase, known for his deadpan delivery and sharp wit, is sure to bring a unique perspective to the film.

Fans of “Saturday Night Live” and Chevy Chase can look forward to seeing the beloved comedian’s reaction to the film when it hits theaters. Stay tuned for more updates on “Saturday Night” and Chase’s involvement in the project.

Shedeur Sanders may be expecting a call from the New York Giants when the 2025 NFL Draft takes place this spring.

Sanders revealed custom Giants cleats on Saturday night ahead of his final game with Colorado during the Alamo Bowl against BYU.

    Nice Kicks @nicekicks

Detailed look at Shedeur Sanders’ custom New York Giants Nike cleats Should the Giants draft him?

: nomad_customs https://t.co/92Pk7CKW43 pic.twitter.com/iU1IjlQpy4

Sanders mentioned the significance of his cleats earlier this week in a conversation with his brother, Shilo Sanders.

“We know where we’re going, baby…We know where we’re going, baby,” Shedeur Sanders said at about the 6:20 mark of the video below. “You’ll see them in the cleats later on this week.”

When Shilo Sanders answered that he couldn’t know where he was going because “the team might trade up,” Shedeur Sanders answered, “You can’t get higher than one.”

The Giants currently have the best shot at the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft.

The franchise will enter this offseason in need of a new quarterback after waiving Daniel Jones in the second season of his four-year, $160 million contract.

After getting burned on the Jones deal, adding a new signal caller on a rookie contract could be a more attractive proposition than a trade or free agent signing.

Sanders appeared to reference potentially being drafted by the Giants in a November episode of his podcast. His father, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, recently expressed confidence that the Giants will keep the No. 1 pick and use the selection to draft Sanders.

But Miami quarterback Cam Ward could also look to be the first signal caller taken off the board in April after finishing his final college season as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

NFL scouts will get one last look at both Sanders and Ward in NCAA action as their college careers wrap up on Saturday. Ward and the Hurricanes played Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl prior to Colorado’s night game.

The quarterback prospects will meanwhile watch the final two weeks of the NFL season to see how the final draft order shakes out.

The Giants have two games remaining against the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles. A victory in either contest could give a three-win team like the Browns, Jaguars, Raiders, Titans or Patriots a potential shot at the first pick.

Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, is making a statement with his custom Giants cleats for Colorado’s upcoming bowl game against BYU.

The talented quarterback took to social media to share a photo of his flashy cleats, which feature the iconic Giants logo and colors. Shedeur’s bold choice in footwear is sure to turn heads on the field and show off his unique sense of style.

Fans are eager to see how Shedeur performs in the big game with his eye-catching cleats, and it’s clear that he’s ready to make a statement. Stay tuned for more updates on Colorado’s bowl game and Shedeur Sanders’ performance.

  • Nick Saban reveals what impressed him most about Texas’ victory over Clemson, why it could lead to national championship

Nick Saban reveals what impressed him most about Texas’ victory over Clemson, why it could lead to national championship

Nick Saban was impressed with the way Steve Sarkisian’s Texas Longhorns played during the First Round of the College Football Playoff against the Clemson Tigers. And it’s easy to see why.

Texas was able to secure a 14-point win over Dabo Swinney’s bunch this past weekend, fighting back in a big way after falling down by a touchdown early in the contest. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday, Saban explained why the performance could signal immense success and a championship run for the Longhorns.

Get your team’s official College Football Playoff watch from AXIA by CLICKING HERE: “Watches that tell so much more than time”

“The thing that impressed me most about Texas in the Clemson game is the way they ran the ball,” Saban said, regarding the Longhorns’ performance. “I mean, they ran the ball, I mean, up and down the field on these guys. I think that, I’ve always said this — if you don’t run the ball, well, you have trouble in the red area. They didn’t have the same issues in the red area, I think, because of their ability to run the ball.

“Now, I don’t know probably enough about Clemson’s defense, but I think they’re pretty decent — but they did a good job. They made some explosive plays. They’ve got explosive players. So, I think Texas is one of the best four teams out there that has a chance to, you know, get in the championship game.”

Continuing, Pat McAfee believes in Texas even more after their win over the Tigers, believing it’s a continuation of what they’ve shown all season long, with their incredible ability to rally after disappointment.

“I love that Sark has had to get his boys to rally a couple of different times now,” McAfee added. “Lose early at home in front of the whole world. Have to rally. Now, ‘Is this team for real or not?’ Had an injury. Obviously, had to rally. Then, they lose the SEC Championship. Had to rally.

“It’s like, I feel like they’re callous too, you know. I feel like they’ve been through some shit this year, mentally and physically, and that could be a great motivator for a team.”

Moving forward, it’ll be fascinating to see if Nick Saban and Pat McAfee are right about the Texas Longhorns. Their next contest will take place on New Year’s Day, as they’ll do battle with the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Quarterfinal of the College Football Playoff.

Nick Saban, the legendary head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, recently shared his thoughts on Texas’ impressive victory over Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinals. In an interview with ESPN, Saban revealed that what impressed him most about Texas’ performance was their relentless defense and ability to capitalize on turnovers.

Saban praised Texas’ defense for their aggressive play and ability to shut down Clemson’s high-powered offense. He noted that their ability to force turnovers and turn them into points was a key factor in their victory. Saban also highlighted the leadership and poise of Texas’ quarterback, who made crucial plays when it mattered most.

Saban believes that Texas’ convincing win over Clemson has put them in a prime position to win the national championship. He emphasized the importance of momentum and confidence in college football, and he believes that Texas has both on their side heading into the title game.

Overall, Saban was thoroughly impressed by Texas’ performance and sees them as a serious contender for the national championship. With their strong defense, efficient offense, and winning mindset, Saban believes that Texas has what it takes to bring home the trophy. Stay tuned for what promises to be an exciting national championship game.

  • Kevin Willard reveals Maryland basketball’s NIL budget, explains “softer” early schedule, talks NY/NJ UMD fans

Kevin Willard reveals Maryland basketball’s NIL budget, explains “softer” early schedule, talks NY/NJ UMD fans

Beginning next season, college athletics programs can spend as much as $20 million on revenue sharing, also known as paying the players. No one at Maryland has stated publicly how they plan to split that money among the program’s many teams, but there’s no question football will get the majority of the de facto salary pool, because the sport costs so much to operate and generates most of the money

But at Maryland, basketball is more important than it is at a many football-obsessed peer schools. So how much of that $20 pool million will Kevin Willard get to spend on players next year?

On his radio show this week, he revealed an estimated payroll range while talking about how fast the sports has transitioned to pay-for-play. Not long ago, several head coaches lost their jobs and then-Arizona assistant coach Book Richardson spent three months in prison for bribery after being caught talking about paying players.

“I’ll say this, an assistant coach from Arizona got arrested and put in jail for talking about money [a few years ago], and now all of a sudden, we’re going to be spending $4 million, $5 million per year on a basketball roster. It’s changed so dramatically, from calls with agents — if you talked to an agent [a few years ago], you would be suspended by the NCAA. Now, half my day is talking to agents and their clients, and what they want, what they’re looking for,” Willard said.

It’s hard to say where that budget would land Maryland nationally. It’s not an elite-level budget like, say, at Kansas or Duke. But it’s more than this year, when Maryland spent around $3 million according to program sources.

“The coach today, it’s more than just a coach. You’re spending an enormous amount of time looking at next year’s possibilities of getting guys here in the portal and making sure everybody’s happy this year,” he said. “It’s changed dramatically in two years, if you look at what we’re doing and what we’re going to start spending on [players].”

RELATED: Maryland Basketball Scoop: DeShawn Harris-Smith’s future, the big change and a guard recruit

With Julian Reese and Selton Miguel running out of eligibility and Derik Queen likely leaving for the NBA, plenty of money will come off the books for Willard to spend on transfers. Queen and Reese alone are making more than $1 million this season combined. Willard aced the portal last offseason with a group of signings 247Sports’ Isaac Trotter ranked among college basketball’s best transfer classes last week. That’s become the most important part of the job.

“You have to be an NBA general manager. You have to look at what you want to do, how you want to play, who you want to bring back, who you want to pay, how much you can pay, how much you have on your salary. And at the same time, you got to be the main fundraiser and go out and raise all that money. So it has changed dramatically and it’s a different world.”

More below from Willard on paying players, the reason for his “softer” nonconference schedule and fans in New York and New Jersey.

Kevin Willard, head coach of the Maryland Terrapins men’s basketball team, recently sat down for an exclusive interview to discuss a variety of topics surrounding the program. One of the most intriguing revelations came when Willard shared details about Maryland’s budget for Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals for student-athletes.

“Maryland has allocated a significant budget for NIL opportunities for our players,” Willard said. “We want to support our student-athletes in maximizing their potential both on and off the court, and we see NIL as a great way to do that.”

In addition to discussing NIL, Willard also addressed the team’s early season schedule, which has been criticized by some for being “softer” than in previous years.

“We intentionally scheduled some non-conference games against teams that may not be as high-profile, in order to give our players a chance to gain confidence and gel as a team before heading into conference play,” Willard explained. “It’s all part of our strategic plan to set ourselves up for success in the long run.”

Lastly, Willard spoke about the passionate Maryland fans in the New York and New Jersey area, who have shown unwavering support for the Terrapins despite being located far from College Park.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of our fans in New York and New Jersey,” Willard said. “Their dedication to the program is truly inspiring, and we always feel their presence whether we’re playing at home or on the road. We hope to continue to make them proud with our performance on the court.”

Overall, Kevin Willard’s insights provided valuable insight into the inner workings of the Maryland basketball program, and fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead.

A new documentary released last month captured the moment Brittany Zamora’s husband, Daniel, pleaded with the student’s furious father during a heated phone call to forgive his wife and abstain from calling the police.

“God preaches forgiveness, man,” Daniel Zamora told the irate father the night before his wife was charged with molesting her sixth-grade student, according to the footage.

The enraged father, named John, shot back, labeling the sicko teacher a “f–ing monster.”

“Listen to me, I am not gonna settle this out of court,” he said, according to the footage.

Daniel, seemingly unaware of the extent of his wife’s disturbing actions, maintained that she is “a great teacher” who “made a huge mistake” by getting “invested” with her student, insisting that she has done great things for children in her five years as an educator.

“Your wife decided to be a monster and prey on a child. She scarred my son mentally,” the boy’s father responded, with the unwitting husband asking the father to explain what he meant.

The emotionally charged phone call took place after the boy’s parents found salacious text messages indicating a sexual relationship between the pair soon after they began monitoring his phone with an app.

The victim told investigators that he and the then-married 27-year-old teacher at Las Brisas Academy Elementary School in Goodyear had sex several times in her car and classroom — with an 11-year-old friend of the victim acting as a “lookout” at times, according to the documentary.

Zamora, 33, also fondled the young victim in the back of her classroom while other students watched an educational video.

In May 2020, Zamora filed for divorce from her husband of four years, calling the relationship “broken beyond repair.”

New Novocaine Image Reveals A Panicked Jack Quaid In A Stressful Situation

This article is part of ScreenRant‘s Exclusive 2025 Movie Preview. Keep an eye out for the full feature next week!

A new image from Novocaine has been revealed. The upcoming 2025 action thriller movie stars The Boys‘ Jack Quaid, who plays Nathan Caine, a bank executive impervious to experiencing physical pain. When his girlfriend (Amber Midthunder) is kidnapped, Nathan puts his ordinary life behind him and decides to use his inability to feel pain in order to save the love of his life. Novocaine‘s cast also includes Ray Nicholson, Betty Gabriel, Matt Walsh, Lou Beatty Jr., Evan Hengst, Conrad Kemp, and Jacob Batalon.

ScreenRant can now share an exclusive first-look image from Novocaine. The image shows Quaid’s character, Nathan, sitting in the driver’s seat of a car and looking alarmed while holding a gun and staring at a laptop. The forefinger on Nathan’s hand in the image is stained with dried blood, which may be his own, or from someone he has recently hurt or killed in the quest to find and save his kidnapped girlfriend. Novocaine Is A Perfect Movie For Jack Quaid

Nathan Is Reminiscent Of The Boys’ Hughie Campbell

With many parallels between Nathan and Quaid’s The Boys character, Hughie, Novocaine looks like the perfect movie for him to star in. Being covered in blood, in a situation that is over his head, and dealing with ruthless individuals is what happens with Hughie in nearly every episode of The Boys. Even Nathan’s motivation, to save his girlfriend, has similarities to Hughie’s initial motivation of getting justice for his girlfriend who was murdered by a supe. In the above image, he may be seeing his kidnapped girlfriend on the laptop, further contributing to his panicked expression.

Nathan will use weapons as seen in the image, but will also engage in hand-to-hand combat, making him more of an action hero than Hughie.

One significant way that Novocaine is distinct from The Boys is that Nathan gets to be the hero and the undisputed star of the story. The Boys is an ensemble series and Hughie is not always at the forefront of it. In Novocaine, Nathan has to rely on himself and his “superpower” of not feeling pain and will be unable to rely on a team of allies like Hughie has in the Prime Video show. Nathan will use weapons as seen in the image, but will also engage in hand-to-hand combat, making him more of an action hero than Hughie.

Novocaine Is One Of 2025’s Most Exciting Action Movies

It Has Multiple Advantages Over Other 2025 Action Movies

While there are many highly anticipated action movies releasing in 2025, most of them are attached to franchises, and feature experienced action heroes. Part of what makes Novocaine exciting is that it is an original story not attached to an ongoing franchise. Nathan is also a compelling draw, as he is a novice at being an action hero, but has a condition that makes him a unique threat. The tense and comedic scenarios that can be built from this are enticing and make Novocaine a must-see movie in 2025.
