  • Sarah Michelle Gellar to star in Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival

Sarah Michelle Gellar is on board to star in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival, with Chloé Zhao set to direct the pilot

Six and a half years have gone by since it was announced that a reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in development with Monica Owusu-Breen, co-creator of the TV show Midnight, Texas, writing, executive producing, and serving as showrunner. It was said that the new show would be “contemporary, building on the mythology of the original.” That project never made it into production – and now, it looks like we’re going to be getting a Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival instead, with Sarah Michelle Gellar back as the title character!

In early 2023, Gellar said she had no interest in ever playing Buffy again. She told SFX magazine, “I am very proud of the show that we created and it doesn’t need to be done. We wrapped that up. I am all for them continuing the story, because there’s the story of female empowerment. I love the way the show was left: ‘Every girl who has the power can have the power.’ It’s set up perfectly for someone else to have the power. But like I said, the metaphors of Buddy were the horrors of adolescence. I think I look young, but I am not an adolescent.” But, by the end of 2024 she had changed her mind. Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show (via Deadline), she had this to say about resurrecting Buffy: “It’s funny, I always used to say no, because it’s in its bubble and it’s so perfect. But watching Sex and the City and seeing Dexter, and realizing there are ways to do it, definitely does get your mind thinking, ‘Well, maybe.’

Now, Deadline reports that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival is nearing a pilot order from the Hulu streaming service, with Gellar on board to star and Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, Eternals), who is a self-professed lifelong Buffy fan, set to direct. Zhao will be working from a script by Nora and Lilla Zuckerman (Poker Face). The revival is coming our way from 20th Television and Searchlight TV, where Zhao has a first-look deal. Deadline adds that the revival is “starting a writers room soon, a sign that Hulu and the studios have high expectations for the project going to series. It is unclear yet whether other original Buffy cast members would return; that is considered likely.”

This is being referred to as “the next chapter in the Buffyverse.” The revival is being executive produced by Gellar, Zhao, and the Zuckermans, as well as the original series’ executive producers Gail Berman of the Jackal Group and Fran Kuzui and Kaz Kuzui of Suite B. Also executive producing the pilot is Dolly Parton, whose company Sandollar was behind the original show. In case you’re wondering, “Buffy creator Joss Whedon, who also wrote the 1992 movie the series was based on, has no involvement in the reboot. He has not worked in Hollywood in any official capacity since facing a slew of misconduct allegations in 2021.”

Are you glad to hear that Sarah Michelle Gellar and Chloé Zhao are teaming up to bring a Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival to Hulu? Share your thoughts on this one by leaving a comment below.

Exciting news for Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans! Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to reprise her iconic role as Buffy Summers in a revival of the beloved supernatural series. The actress, who originally portrayed the fierce vampire slayer from 1997 to 2003, has confirmed her return to the show in an announcement that has sent fans into a frenzy.

Gellar expressed her excitement about stepping back into the role that catapulted her to stardom, stating, “I am thrilled to be revisiting the world of Buffy and to bring her back to life for both new and longtime fans. Buffy has always held a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to dive back into the supernatural world of slaying vampires and saving the world.”

Details about the revival are still being kept under wraps, but fans can expect a mix of nostalgia and fresh new storylines that will continue to explore the themes of friendship, empowerment, and battling evil that made the original series a cult classic.

  • Richarlison revival, Van de Ven return, belief. How Spurs can save Ange

On the platform at Frankfurt station on Wednesday, a Tottenham Hotspur fan en route to Hoffenheim had just declared Jürgen Klinsmann to be her preferred successor to Ange Postecoglou when Klinsmann, to the group’s delight, suddenly appeared upstairs, walking across the concourse, presumably also on his way to the game.

If only Postecoglou could work his magic so swiftly, to propel Tottenham up the Premier League table, win a cup, or even just heal one or two of his 11 injured players in time to face Leicester City today at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. When Spurs drew away to Leicester on the opening day of the season, Postecoglou’s side entertained realistic ambitions of finishing in the top four. At 2pm on Sunday, the aim is to strengthen the buffer between themselves and the bottom three.

Postecoglou was back to his bullish best late on Thursday after the 3-2 win over Hoffenheim, insisting his team were “on the right road”, that the players’ “belief” was all that matters and that his long and layered career had taught him the key in a crisis is to block out “the noise” and “not get influenced by the current mood”. After his downbeat and occasionally surly responses in recent weeks, it felt like something of a return to form for Postecoglou, buoyed by victory and up for the fight.

Spurs are certainly not out of the woods yet, though, and any optimistic fans heartened by a gutsy win over struggling Hoffenheim in the Europa League should be wary, despite Leicester losing their past seven consecutive Premier League games under Ruud van Nistelrooy. After all of Tottenham’s biggest wins this season — against Everton (3-0), Manchester United (3-0), West Ham (4-1), Aston Villa (4-1), Manchester City (4-0), Southampton (5-0) and even Liverpool in the Carabao Cup (1-0) — they failed to win their next match in the league. At full-time in Germany on Thursday night, three or four players looked dead on their feet.

Yet there remains a narrow path for Postecoglou, a way to save this turbulent season and perhaps even his job. He is nearly two years into a four-year contract at Spurs and there is a belief at the club that he can still turn results around, as well as an awareness of the impact of the list of absentees. Interim appointments made things worse after Antonio Conte and José Mourinho while there could also be a middle way, where Postecoglou completes the season but another coach, with similar principles, takes the project on to its second phase.

What is clear is that Postecoglou’s tenure will be defined by the next few weeks, when he needs to get big decisions right and several elements to work in his favour.

    Wrap defence in cotton wool

Only Brighton & Hove Albion’s players have missed more days through injury this season than Tottenham’s and while fatigue has affected all areas of the team, the defence has been hit hardest.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are crucial to the way Spurs play, with their ability to adopt the aggressive, high line and make quick recovery runs, so losing both in November, just after each had returned from injury, has been central to Tottenham’s downfall.

The hope is Romero and Van de Ven will resume full training this week, which could put them in contention for Brentford away next weekend and then Liverpool in the second leg of the Carabao Cup four days later. Romero’s leadership would be invaluable at Anfield, as would Van de Ven’s pace against Mohamed Salah, but it will be a delicate decision to make. Postecoglou has to avoid rushing them back before they are ready because Spurs cannot afford to lose them again.

    Fire up Richarlison

With Dominic Solanke out for six weeks, and therefore missing both cup games against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and Aston Villa in the FA Cup, the return to fitness of Richarlison is timely, although Solanke, who injured his knee in training last weekend, may not have broken down if cover had arrived sooner.

Tottenham were open to selling Richarlison last summer but Postecoglou has to find a way to unearth the Brazilian’s best version now, the player they signed for £60million from Everton in 2022 and the one who scored nine goals in ten games during a golden spell under Postecoglou this time last year.

Tottenham Hotspur v AZ Alkmaar - UEFA Europa League - Group Stage - Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Richarlison has scored only twice in all competitions in an injury-hit season but Spurs need the best version of the Brazilian now

    PA

Injuries have plagued Richarlison’s three seasons at Spurs and he is a complicated character, with whom coaches have found it difficult to engage. Conte’s hard-line approach — he called Richarlison “selfish” when he complained about a lack of game time — failed to stir a response and Postecoglou has never been one to cosy up to players either. A confident and healthy Richarlison could make all the difference. “When Richy is playing he is Brazil’s No9,” said Postecoglou on Friday. “When he played for us last year he was scoring goals.”

    Rest super-kids Bergvall and Gray

Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray both dropped to the turf and lay flat on their backs at the final whistle on Thursday night, the exhaustion felt by Tottenham’s two 18-year-olds clear for all to see. They have certainly benefited from the injury crisis, having been given more matches and responsibility than they could ever have imagined when they signed from Djurgarden and Leeds United for about £40million combined last summer.

    FBL-ENG-PR-EVERTON-TOTTENHAM

Gray has acquitted himself well despite being thrown in at the deep end — but Spurs risk burning the teenager out

    AFP

At some point, Bergvall and Gray may look back on this period as a formative one — Bergvall has been deployed as a No6 and No8 while Gray has played right, left and centre back, as well as in central midfield — but they need to be managed carefully at a time when errors, a drop in form or injury could have lasting damage.

James Maddison was visibly emotional when talking about Bergvall and Gray’s contributions after the game. “I went up to the lads like Lucas and Archie and said, ‘Don’t underestimate what you’re doing right now,’” he said. “We’re asking so much of them at such a young age.”

    Sign another forward this month

Even before Solanke’s injury, Spurs were prioritising bringing in a forward in the January transfer window but they are yet to sign any outfield players, after the arrival of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky on January 5.

All of Tottenham’s senior attacking players, apart from the returning Richarlison, are now either injured or exhausted, with Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski overloaded and struggling for form in recent weeks while Solanke, Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner and Wilson Odobert are all on the sidelines. The 17-year-old Mikey Moore has become an important option.

Tottenham’s league position and salary structure have made it difficult to attract the calibre of player they want, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani making it clear early he preferred Juventus, while the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal entering the forwards market has also knocked Spurs down the pecking order.

Postecoglou has admitted that “potentially” there may be no more new signings, although there is a belief the market may open up once the league phase of European competitions ends this week and clubs that have not progressed decide they need to trim their wage bills. Spurs need to be ready to pounce.

    Prioritise the cups

Tottenham cannot afford to be complacent about their position in the Premier League, with only eight points between them and the bottom three, but realistically they are not going to be relegated. According to Opta’s supercomputer, there is a 0.07 per cent chance that Spurs go down, presumably because the teams 18th to 20th — Ipswich Town, Leicester and Southampton — are also rarely picking up points. With players back, Tottenham should pull up into mid-table.

If that happens, Postecoglou might do well to consider using the league to rest and rotate, while directing the team’s main focus and energy into the cups and, specifically, the Europa League. Fighting for the European places in the Premier League has always been the priority for Tottenham in recent years but their lowly position gives them a rare opportunity to concentrate fully on winning a trophy.

And why not? Winning the Europa League would fast-track them into the Champions League and it is probably their best chance of silverware this season too, given none of Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester City stand in their way. There are no Champions League drop-outs either after Uefa abolished that rule, which means that Athletic Bilbao, Lazio, Eintracht Frankfurt and Manchester United are probably the teams to beat. A first trophy since 2008, and first in Europe since 1984, would secure Postecoglou legendary status at Tottenham. Certainly, nobody would remember when they finished in the league.

Richarlison revival, Van de Ven return, belief: How Spurs can save Ange

After a tumultuous start to the season, Tottenham Hotspur are in need of a revival. However, with the return of Richarlison from injury and the impressive performances of young defender Van de Ven, there is hope for a turnaround.

Richarlison, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, is set to make his comeback in the coming weeks. The Brazilian forward has been a key player for Spurs since joining from Everton in the summer, and his return could provide a much-needed spark in the attack.

Meanwhile, Van de Ven has been a revelation at the back, impressing with his composure and defensive abilities. The young Dutchman has quickly become a fan favorite and his return from injury will only strengthen Spurs’ defense.

With these key players back in the fold, there is a renewed sense of belief among the Spurs faithful that a turnaround is possible. Manager Ange Postecoglou has faced criticism in recent weeks, but with the return of Richarlison and Van de Ven, he has the tools to turn things around.

The upcoming fixtures will be crucial for Spurs, but with a fully fit squad and renewed belief, there is hope that they can save their season and push for a top-four finish. Richarlison revival, Van de Ven return, belief: the ingredients for a Spurs revival.

  • Paramount+’s Cancelation Of Frasier Is The Best Thing To Happen To Kelsey Grammer’s Revival

After two seasons, Paramount+ officially cancels the Frasier revival, but it is the best thing to happen to Kelsey Grammer’s project. Inspired by the success of the Roseanne reboot on ABC, the actor started shopping the idea around to various broadcasters. Admittedly, getting the show up encountered some big issues, especially after original Frasier cast members, David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, and Peri Gilpin turned down appearing as series regulars. This forced Grammer to eventually set the Frasier revival in Boston, with the comedy also effectively replacing Cheers with a new bar, Mahoney’s.

Admittedly, the debut season of the new show was rough. it was difficult to get through, especially for those who were used to its predecessor, which was known for its fast pace, snappy dialogue, and elevated brand of comedy. The Frasier revival season 2 was a bit better, with increased involvement from Gilpin’s Roz and a nostalgia-filled return to Seattle-set episode. Sadly, these weren’t enough for Paramount+ to keep the show going. The new Frasier‘s cancelation, however, may not be exactly bad if CBS Studios successfully finds a new home for it — something that it is actively doing.

The Frasier Revival’s Time On Paramount+ Has Ended

    Frasier season 2 finale

According to Variety, CBS Studios is currently shopping Frasier around to other platforms. For context, not all canceled shows that were subjected to the same treatment ended up being picked up by another broadcaster. That being said, the fact that Frasier is even getting this treatment is already a good indication that the people behind the show are dedicated to continuing its story. Per the outlet, CBS absorbing the series may be out of the question, at least based on the network’s current roster of comedies, such as The Neighborhood, Poppa’s House, Ghosts, and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Frasier Season 2’s Seattle Episode Misses The Whole Point Of The Original Series

Frasier’s Seattle return resurrects Freddy’s hang-ups about growing up away from his father, but it misinterprets the point of the original show.

That being said, the report cites that the original series airing on NBC could make the network a possible home for the Frasier revival. It’s worth noting that both Cheers and Grammer’s subsequent Seattle-set spinoff fronted the channel’s comedy block for a total of 22 years, with each show running for 11 seasons. NBC is also rebuilding its sitcom roster with Lopez vs Lopez, Happy’s Place, Night Court, and St. Denis Medical. Having Grammer and Frasier season 3 continue by joining that roster could be beneficial on both sides.

Half-Hour Sitcoms Need More Time To Find Their Identity

The original Frasier was a hit from the get-go, which was already an impressive feat made much better by the fact that it was able to sustain its quality throughout its run. Since it was on a traditional broadcasting station, it churned out upward of 20 episodes per season and had a guaranteed return every year for more than a decade. This allowed the show to move its storylines despite only having half-hour outings. The Paramount+ show had the same runtime, but with only 10 episodes per year, the Frasier revival didn’t really have the time to do much.

Frasier Season 2 Officially Ends The Original Series 20 Years After It Went Off The Air

The Frasier reboot’s return to Seattle officially wraps up the original Cheers spinoff 20 years after Kelsey Grammer’s character left Emerald City.

Comedies tend to struggle on streaming services anyway — at least the old-school formatted ones, with a 30-minute runtime. Over the years, platforms have canceled multiple sitcoms that are made like the new Frasier, even though they are tied to established predecessors, such as How I Met Your Father (Hulu’s How I Met Your Mother‘s spinoff sequel) and That ’90s Show (Netflix’s That ’70s Show follow-up). The only revival-type series that ran for a bit longer was Full House‘s offshoot, Fuller House, which was on Netflix for 5 seasons. Even then, the cast claimed they were blindsided by the cancelation.

Why The Frasier Revival Deserves Season 3

The Frasier Revival Is Only Starting To Get Interesting

Given this pattern and the almost impossible challenge of matching its critically and commercially successful predecessor, the Frasier revival being canceled by Paramount+ after just two seasons was unsurprising. Streamers just don’t give the same leeway for shows as they find their footing like networks do, and more often than not, shows, especially those with shorter runtimes need time to find their footing. Legendary comedies such as MASH and Cheers had notoriously bad debut years, but CBS and NBC kept them because of their potential.

Roz leaving KACL and Seattle also paves the way for her and Frasier to re-team for potentially an updated version of “The Dr. Frasier Crane Show” — something that the new show has done from the get-go, considering how out-of-place the snooty psychiatrist has been at Harvard.

Frasier season 3 is poised to showcase the true story of the revival. After 20 episodes, those behind the show have already figured out how to separate itself from the shadow of both Cheers and the original spinoff, answering why Frasier won’t visit Cheers and where Niles and Daphne are. Roz leaving KACL and Seattle also paves the way for her and Frasier to re-team for potentially an updated version of “The Dr. Frasier Crane Show” — something that the new show has done from the get-go, considering how out-of-place the snooty psychiatrist has been at Harvard.

I’m Listening: Frasier’s Return To KACL Is Proof That The Reboot Needs To Drop His Harvard Professor Job & Bring Back The Talk Show

The Frasier revival season 2’s return to Seattle proves that it’s time to end its Harvard storyline and bring back the radio call-in segment.

Beyond its titular character’s own storyline, Frasier season 3 will also bring back a more established ensemble. After its sophomore year, the revival has more interesting storylines to continue. It will be curious to see how Alan’s relationship with his daughter moves forward after their reconciliation. Likewise, it will be great to see Olivia’s sister again. With many of the pressing questions answered, the proposed Frasier season 3 can also bring back more familiar faces, such as Cheers’ Sam and Diane — something that Grammer has always wanted to do.

Why NBC Would Be The Perfect Home For Frasier Season 3

    Frasier’s Legacy Is On NBC

Variety’s report rules out CBS as Frasier’s next home, and while ABC is available, the outlet is right about the show fitting in with NBC. There’s currently no word on whether it is interested in the project, but since its overall legacy belongs to them, with Cheers and the Seattle show both airing with them, it isn’t difficult to imagine them taking on the opportunity to continue the revival. Perhaps, it could even revive the network’s glory days when it comes to comedies.

This is where Grammer’s ideas for some Cheers cameos and maybe even the much-anticipated appearance of Pierce and Leeevs as Niles and Daphne can finally happen.

Currently, NBC’s comedy line-up is a mixed bag of sitcoms. Admittedly, Frasier shares some similarities to a few of them, like Lopez vs. Lopez and even Happy’s Place. That said, it can differentiate itself by leaning on it being part of a bigger franchise. This is where Grammer’s ideas for some Cheers cameos and maybe even the much-anticipated appearance of Pierce and Leeevs as Niles and Daphne can finally happen. Doing that in Frasier season 3 can likely boost its ratings, convincing NBC to pick it up beyond its junior run.

    Source: Variety

Paramount+ recently announced that they will not be moving forward with the revival of the beloved sitcom “Frasier,” starring Kelsey Grammer. While some fans may be disappointed by this news, I believe that this cancelation is actually the best thing that could have happened to Kelsey Grammer’s revival.

As much as we all love the character of Frasier Crane, bringing back the show without a compelling story or fresh perspective could have tarnished its legacy. Instead of trying to recreate the magic of the original series, this cancelation gives Grammer the opportunity to explore new projects and showcase his talents in different ways.

Grammer is a talented actor with a wide range, and he deserves the chance to take on new and exciting roles that will challenge him creatively. By moving on from “Frasier,” he can pursue projects that will allow him to grow and evolve as an artist, rather than being stuck in the shadow of his most famous character.

So while it may be disappointing to say goodbye to Frasier Crane once again, I believe that this cancelation is ultimately the best thing for Kelsey Grammer’s career. Who knows what exciting opportunities lie ahead for him now that he is free to explore new horizons? I, for one, can’t wait to see what he does next.

  • Revival restaurant abruptly closes all three locations, including Selby Avenue in St. Paul – Twin Cities

Mere weeks after rebranding its Selby Avenue location into Bar Revival, focusing on Italian beef sandwiches and tavern pizzas, the restaurant formerly known as Revival and all its sister locations have closed.

Chef/owner Thomas Boemer said it was a tough day for him and everyone associated with the eatery, which was known for its crisp fried chicken, mac and cheese, burgers and other southern favorites.

“It’s a real tough time for all of our restaurant friends and community,” Boemer said. “Everyone’s struggling to find footing in an ever-changing and difficult time. It’s just a really tough time for restaurants. Even up to the last day we were working with all our financial partners trying to find a way forward.”

Our review from 2017: From tasty brisket to towers of chicken, Revival in St. Paul hits the spot

The past few months were the nail in the coffin for the restaurants, Boemer said.

“It was a really slow holiday season,” he said. “January has been the slowest we have seen in the history of this company … We had exciting plans for the future so it’s just really sad.”

A mural that reads 'St. Paul vs. Everybody.'
Chef Thomas Boemer painted this mural at Bar Revival in St. Paul. (Jess Fleming / Pioneer Press)

Specifically, Boemer said, costs in every aspect of the business continued to rise while customers’ spending power declined as people’s pocketbooks were feeling the squeeze of inflation, higher interest rates and soaring housing costs.

“Every single cost that we have has drastically increased and is still increasing,” he said. “It hasn’t stopped. When you combine that with where we started a year ago with a massive labor shortage, which pushed the labor cost and wage exponentially … all the costs are going up and you’re racing to follow them. And over the past year, you’re seeing the effects of that, and it’s gotten just insanely expensive to go out to dinner.”

In addition to St. Paul, the Minneapolis and St. Louis Park eateries have also been shuttered. The restaurant would have marked its 10th anniversary (the original location was in Minneapolis) next month.

Revival restaurant, known for its mouthwatering southern comfort food, has shocked loyal customers by abruptly closing all three of its locations, including the beloved Selby Avenue spot in St. Paul.

The news came as a surprise to many, as Revival had been a staple in the Twin Cities food scene since its debut in 2015. Fans of the restaurant are left wondering what could have led to this sudden closure and are expressing their disappointment on social media.

While no official statement has been released by the restaurant’s owners, rumors are swirling about financial struggles and disagreements among the leadership team. Whatever the reason may be, one thing is certain – the Twin Cities food scene has lost a beloved eatery.

As customers mourn the loss of Revival, they are left wondering what will take its place on Selby Avenue and in the hearts of those who enjoyed its fried chicken, biscuits, and other southern classics. Only time will tell what the future holds for this iconic restaurant space.

  • Revival restaurants abruptly close all Twin Cities locations

Locations were added and menu options grew, but a change for the St. Paul restaurant earlier this year, when the menu expanded to add Chicago-style beef sandwiches and tavern-style pizzas, might have been the Hail Mary pass that didn’t catch on with the enthusiasm the company needed to move forward.

“With St. Paul, we were trying to interject some fun and find a path forward,” Boemer said. “The worst part is that our team right now is amazing across the board. That is the hardest thing. Across four restaurants, we were trying to steer the Titanic. That only happens by the hard work and grace by the people you’re surrounded by and they all gave it all.”

And now, in the midst of the slowest season in the industry, more than 100 restaurant workers are — without notice — without jobs.

Co-owner Rancone said the decision came after a hard look at the company’s finances. “Anything but a sudden closure would have put our staff and vendors at risk of not getting paid,” he said.

Boemer added his perspective saying, “It’s been a very difficult few years. We fought through COVID. There are a lot of people in our industry having a really hard time right now. January and February are hard on restaurants. Winter is a difficult time and this one was ferocious.”

As to the nature of the announcement, he conceded: “The abruptness is hard. It’s hard, but it’s part of the nature of how these things come and go. Sadly, restaurants are not a forever thing.”

In a shocking turn of events, Revival restaurants have announced the abrupt closure of all their Twin Cities locations. Known for their delicious Southern comfort food and popular fried chicken, fans of the restaurant chain are left devastated by the sudden news.

The closure comes as a surprise to many, as Revival had garnered a loyal following in the Twin Cities food scene. The reasons behind the closures have not been disclosed by the restaurant management, leaving customers and employees alike in the dark.

Many are left wondering what will happen to their favorite dishes and where they will go to satisfy their cravings for Revival’s signature fare. The sudden closure serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by restaurants in the ever-changing and competitive industry.

As Twin Cities foodies mourn the loss of Revival, they are left with memories of memorable meals and hopes that another restaurant will fill the void left by the beloved chain.

  • Revival — restaurant group known for fried chicken, barbeque — closes all locations

Revival, a Twin Cities restaurant chain known for Southern fare, has closed all of its locations, the owners announced Monday on social media.

In 2015, restaurateurs Nick Rancone and Thomas Boemer launched Revival in Minneapolis, later expanding to St. Paul and St. Louis Park.

Fried chicken was inarguably the star of the menu, served alongside smoked meats and classic soul food sides. Late last year, the St. Paul location rebranded as “Bar Revival,” a Chicago-inspired concept with tavern-style, square-cut pizza and Italian beef sandwiches.

But on Monday, Revival’s culinary journey came to an end.

“With a heavy heart, we must say goodbye to Revival,” an Instagram post said. “It’s no secret owning a restaurant is one of the toughest journeys, and it truly breaks our hearts to take this step. For nearly a decade, you all have been the heartbeat of this place, and we are profoundly grateful to each and every one of you who has supported us and brought joy to our days.”

Revival, the popular restaurant group known for their mouthwatering fried chicken and barbeque, has announced the closure of all their locations. Fans of their delicious comfort food are devastated by the news, as Revival had built a strong following for their tasty dishes and welcoming atmosphere.

The closure of Revival comes as a shock to many, as the restaurant group had been a staple in the community for years. Their signature fried chicken, juicy barbeque ribs, and flavorful sides will be sorely missed by loyal customers who frequented their locations for a delicious meal and a good time.

While the reasons for the closure have not been disclosed, many are left wondering what will happen to their favorite dishes and the talented chefs who created them. Revival’s impact on the local food scene will be remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of dining at their restaurants.

As we bid farewell to Revival and their delectable menu, we can only hope that the talented individuals behind the restaurant group will find new opportunities to share their culinary creations with the world. The closure of Revival serves as a reminder of the ever-changing nature of the restaurant industry, and the importance of supporting local businesses in order to keep our favorite dining spots alive and thriving.

  • ‘Frasier’ Revival Canceled at Paramount+, Studio Shopping for New Home

After two seasons on Paramount+, the “Frasier” revival will not be moving forward, Variety has learned. CBS Studios will shop the series, which debuted in October 2023, around to other platforms.

The series, led by and executive produced by Kelsey Grammer, is a revival of the original series “Frasier,” a spinoff of “Cheers,” which aired for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004, and won 37 Primetime Emmys. The first season of the revival didn’t take home any statues but did land three nominations.

Despite being produced by CBS Studios, it doesn’t seem likely the revival would go to CBS, as they already have multiple comedies, including “The Neighborhood,” “Poppa’s House,” “George & Mandy’s First Marriage,” “Ghosts” and the just-announced spinoff of “The Neighborhood” in development. The original did air on NBC, which could rebuild a comedy block to try to bring back Must-See TV. They currently have comedies “Lopez vs Lopez,” “Happy’s Place,” “Night Court” and “St. Denis Medical.”

In 2023, Grammer told Variety he wanted a new and “sillier” version of the famous sitcom and was hoping to go “another 100 episodes at least.” He added, “There’s enough groundwork laid between these human beings; they are wonderful characters. I want to see where they go. And I want to see what happens to Frasier.”

In addition to Grammer, the comedy stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro and Anders Keith.

Joe Cristalli and Chris Harris serve as showrunners with Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon as executive producers. Legendary director James Burrows returned to direct multiple episodes of the revival, which is produced by CBS Studios and Grammnet NH Productions and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of the Paramount+ markets.

The first two seasons and the original “Frasier” are available to stream on Paramount+.

After much anticipation, it has been announced that the planned revival of the hit TV show “Frasier” has been canceled at Paramount+. The streaming service had been working on bringing back the beloved sitcom for a new generation of fans, but unfortunately, the project has hit a roadblock.

However, all hope is not lost for fans of the show! The studio behind the revival is now actively shopping the project around to other networks and streaming services in hopes of finding a new home for the return of Dr. Frasier Crane and the gang.

While it’s disappointing to hear that the revival won’t be moving forward at Paramount+, there is still a chance that we may see our favorite Seattle psychiatrist back on our screens in the future. Stay tuned for updates on where “Frasier” may end up next!
