Rob Lowe has told how he’s been giving “hand-me-downs” to brother Chad after he lost his home in the Los Angeles fires.
The actor revealed how he’s been supporting his brother Chad and his family.
“My brother Chad, unfortunately, lost his home (and) everything in it,” Rob told Entertainment Tonight.
“Entire neighbourhood (is) gone. He has three little girls and all their friends (also) lost everything.”
Rob, 60, went on to explain how Chad, 57, got “a lot of big brother hand-me-downs” after the blaze.
“He’s back to being 15 again,” the Unstable star joked. “He loves to dress like a dad (and) I give him a lot of crap. So, I took my most dad Hokas (shoes) and passed them on.”
Chad, who has starred in shows including Pretty Little Liars and 9-1-1: Lone Star, took to social media after the fires destroyed his home.
“This is what remains of 10 years of building our lives,” he wrote on Instagram earlier this month, alongside a photo of their charred home.
“Our hearts are broken, but we are comforted by all the well wishes, and offers of assistance. We are OK and will be OK. We have each other. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.”
Chad, who was married to Hilary Swank between 1997 and 2007, has been married to Kim Painter since 2010.
They share three daughters, Mabel, Fiona and Nixie.

‘Our thoughts and prayers are with all the other people who are suffering from this unimaginable disaster,’ he said.
‘We are incredibly grateful to all the first responders, police, and firefighters, who put their lives on the line to protect all of us. They are truly heroes.

The ‘Hollywood Derby’ between Wrexham and Birmingham City is set to play out for the second time this season on Thursday.
Birmingham City, owned by NFL legend Tom Brady, are competing with the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds-owned Wrexham at the top end of League One this term.
Brady’s team have been able to spend a lot more on players in the last year, coughing up a staggering £20m for just one star over the summer.
Meanwhile, the Red Dragons’ all-time record transfer fee of £590,000 pales in comparison to the Midlands outfit.
Despite this, Wrexham are more than holding their own in the race for automatic promotion.
However, should they lose to Birmingham on Thursday, they could drop down to fourth place come the weekend.

What Birmingham City’s Tom Brady said about Wrexham fans
The two League One giants first faced off at St Andrew’s on September 16th, 2024.
Wrexham lost 3-1 to Birmingham on that occasion, though the result was overshadowed slightly by the off-the-field antics of their owners.
Prior to that meeting, the Welsh side gave former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning – a rival of Brady’s during his NFL career – some Wrexham home shirts.
Brady sent a message to McElhenney in response to the playful joke, in which he wanted the Always Sunny star to ‘educate the Wrexham fans’.
He said: “So I’ve been working on a little response video to Eli and I’m looking around the house, but I can’t find the other six of these,” joked Brady.
“Rob, can you just educate the Wrexham fans just a little bit on the history of the NFL? Thanks bud, appreciate you, see you Monday.”

Ryan Reynolds on Tom Brady ahead of Wrexham vs Birmingham City
While the good-natured jibes were largely between McElhenney and Brady last time out, Wrexham co-owner Reynolds has now gotten involved.
He said: “But I hate that they’re [Brady and David Beckham] both kind people in real life by the way.
“So yeah, there is definitely a lot of anticipation. Would I love to be Tom Brady at sports? Yes, the answer is yes, an emphatic yes. Would Rob? Maybe more, I think more.”
Another joke of course, but it’ll be interesting to see if the duo exchange words after tonight’s match.

Tom Brady, the legendary NFL quarterback, recently made headlines for his surprising request for actor and Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney to “educate the Wrexham fans” before their clash against Birmingham City. This unexpected request has left many fans wondering why Brady felt the need for McElhenney to step in and address the fans.
It is no secret that Brady is a huge supporter of Wrexham AFC, having recently become a co-owner of the club alongside McElhenney. With his experience in the world of sports and his passion for the game, Brady likely saw an opportunity for McElhenney to use his platform and influence to connect with the fans and potentially inspire them before a crucial match.
McElhenney, best known for his role in the hit TV show “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” has shown a strong commitment to Wrexham since becoming a co-owner, and his charismatic personality and ability to engage with fans could have been seen as a valuable asset in rallying the supporters and creating a positive atmosphere leading up to the match.
While the specifics of what McElhenney’s “education” of the fans entailed are unknown, it is clear that Brady saw the potential for the actor to make a meaningful impact on the Wrexham faithful. Whether it was sharing words of encouragement, highlighting the importance of unity and support, or simply bringing a sense of excitement and energy to the fans, Brady’s request for McElhenney to “educate” the fans likely came from a place of wanting to elevate the team’s spirit and bring them closer together before a crucial game.
As Wrexham continues to navigate their season and strive for success, it will be interesting to see how Brady, McElhenney, and the rest of the ownership team continue to engage with the fans and drive the club forward. With their shared passion for the game and dedication to the club, the future looks bright for Wrexham AFC under their new ownership.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have attracted renewed interest to their “sleepy little town” of Montecito, California, since moving there in 2020.
Actor Rob Lowe, said that although the Royal couple tried to keep “a low profile,” they expanded interest in the area.
According to The Independent, he confirmed to E! News: “They definitely have brought a lot of attention to my sleepy little town.”
“Let me tell you something: Once the royals move into your neighbourhood, the neighbourhood is never going to be the same.”
The Wayne’s World star who has lived in the area for over two decades also spoke on the changes Oprah’s Montecito home brought to the town.
Rob recalled: “When Oprah moved in, that began the sort of resurgence of Montecito. And now that the royals are there, the good news is property values go up, the bad news is the lines are longer at Starbucks.”
In addition to having star-studded neighbours, Meghan and Harry’s $29 million property sits on a sprawling 7.4-acre estate.
The nearly 19,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style home boasts nine bedrooms, and 16 bathrooms, providing plenty of growing room for their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
With Tuscan-inspired architecture, the grandeur property retains its serenity, offering the Royal couple more than enough privacy away from their highly publicized life.
While the outside boasts of extensive gardens, clipped hedges, cypress and olive trees, the inside contains a library, gym, home cinema and an arcade.
Despite this, recent reports suggest that other neighbours are not happy with having Harry and Meghan so close by.
While one complained about the noisy throng of tourists and fast cars in their once-peaceful neighbourhood, another issued a brutal jibe about their recent project.
They told the MailOnline: “They moved away from England to get away from the scrutiny of the press and all they do is try and get in the press in the United States.”
Rob Lowe’s brutal verdict on having Meghan and Harry as neighbours
In a recent interview, actor Rob Lowe didn’t hold back when sharing his thoughts on having Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as neighbours. The Hollywood star, who lives near the couple’s Montecito mansion, had some strong opinions about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Lowe revealed that he has had some interesting encounters with Meghan and Harry, and it seems he is not entirely impressed. He described them as “very royal” and hinted at some awkward interactions with the couple.
While Lowe didn’t go into specifics, it’s clear that he has mixed feelings about having such high-profile neighbours. However, he did acknowledge that living near Meghan and Harry has brought some excitement to his quiet neighbourhood.
It seems that even in the world of celebrities, there can be some interesting dynamics when it comes to neighbours. Only time will tell how this Hollywood saga plays out. Stay tuned for more updates on this celebrity feud.

Welcome to Play Smart, a regular GOLF.com game-improvement column that will help you become a smarter, better golfer.
Golf is a great game because it can be enjoyed by just about everyone. Go to a golf course and you’re sure to find people of all demographics. There aren’t too many sports that can accommodate everyone quite like golf.
The game also has a way of humbling just about everyone who plays it. It’s impossible to achieve perfection, and everyone from the weekend hacks to the best in the world are reminded of that fact every day. The golf ball doesn’t care who you are when you’re swinging the club. The only thing that matters is how the clubface impacts the ball.
Watching celebs, politicians and athletes play golf reminds us of this fact each time we see them tee it up. While in their day-to-day life they are titans of industry, on the golf course they have just as tough a time at hitting the ball straight as you or me. But just like you or me, most of them are obsessed with finding that one swing thought that helps them hit it better.
Actor Rob Lowe recently gave us a great example of just that. And while playing in a Champions Tour pro-am, he got some advice from Rod Pampling that transformed his driving. Check it out below.
Rob Lowe’s game-changing lesson
Getting the ball off the tee safely is crucial if you want to lower your handicap. Most of the time, that’s easier said than done.
To hit a driver efficiently, you need to make sure your lead shoulder is higher than your trail shoulder at impact. This increases the angle of attack and helps you hit up on the ball, which helps get the ball in the air and further down the fairway.
Lots of amateurs struggle to get the proper tilt away from the target and instead keep their shoulders level throughout the swing. Lowe is one such example.
To help fix this issue, Pampling gave the actor a simple drill.
All you need to do is stand in your golf posture with your driver. But instead of standing like you’re addressing the ball, hold the head of the driver on the ground with shaft pointing straight up. Then extend your lead arm and place your hand on the butt of the grip.
From this position, swing your right arm back while focusing on keeping the lead shoulder in it’s place. When you do it correctly, you’ll feel your lead shoulder staying higher than your trail shoulder throughout the swing.
“What I like is that you don’t even have to be on the range to do it,” Lowe says. “Frankly the best place to do it — and I say this as a vain, narcissistic actor — is in front of the mirror.”
If you struggle to hit up on the ball with the driver, give this drill a try. Once you ingrain the feel, it’ll be easier than ever to get in the proper position to hit up on the ball and bomb it down the fairway.

Rob Lowe is known for his impressive acting skills, but did you know that he also has some serious driving skills? Thanks to a pro-approved drill, Lowe was able to transform his driving abilities and become an even better driver.
The drill, which was recommended by a professional driving instructor, focused on improving Lowe’s reaction time and ability to handle unexpected situations on the road. By practicing this drill regularly, Lowe was able to become a more confident and skilled driver.
Not only did this drill help Lowe become a better driver, but it also gave him a newfound sense of control and safety behind the wheel. Now, Lowe is able to navigate the roads with ease and confidence, thanks to this simple yet effective exercise.
If you’re looking to improve your driving skills like Rob Lowe, consider trying out this pro-approved drill. Who knows, it may just transform your driving abilities and make you a safer driver on the road.
Rudy Gobert remembers spending time in the G League during his rookie season in 2013-14.
Well, back then it was called the D League.
“My ego was hurt, but it felt good to go out there and just play,” Gobert said. “… And also took that frustration and that hunger to be on the floor and to help the team, put that into working harder than anybody else.”
That’s been Gobert’s message to Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Rob Dillingham, who hasn’t spent any time in the G League aside from a two-game stint on a rehab assignment but also hasn’t seen many minutes for the Timberwolves to this point in his young NBA career. That’s not for lack of desire as Dillingham has been itching for more time on the court.
“We have a lot of conversations about that. I tell him it’s a good sign that he’s frustrated,” Gobert said. “If you don’t care, you’re not ambitious enough. So I love that, and the only thing I tell him is to keep doing the work. When you’re frustrated, put that frustration into working more, working harder, learning, taking care of yourself, getting stronger.”
Dillingham has played just 17 games this season, averaging 9.4 minutes per game. Some of that absence has been due to injury — he missed time with a right ankle sprain — but there have also been games where there simply hasn’t been room for him. It’s not because the Wolves have changed their tune on him since moving up to get him No. 8 overall in this year’s NBA draft, it’s because finding minutes for a rookie can be challenging on a team that already boasts a lot of guard depth.
“It’s important to kind of set it all in context. It’s hard for rookies to play meaningful minutes for teams that are trying to win at the top of the table. It just is,” Wolves coach Chris Finch said. “You have to wait, be patient, like (Dillingham) is gonna be an extremely good player in this league for a long time to come. We’re all confident of that, and he just has to keep staying ready, and obviously the ankle injury kind of derailed any little momentum we had, but he played extremely well.
“And just yeah, gotta have patience. I think it’s important to realize, these guys, sometimes it’s the first time in their life they’ve never played. It’s mentally really challenging for those guys. Have to see light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s a long season and all the cliches, but they all are true.”
The good news is Dillingham has found more opportunities for minutes since returning from injury (of course, the bad news is they’ve come because Donte DiVincenzo has been sidelined the last two games with a toe injury). Regardless of the circumstance, Dillingham is making the most of his opportunity. After all, nothing is guaranteed for the rookie.
On Saturday, Finch elected to play Dillingham with the starters down the stretch in the fourth quarter, hoping his speed could help spark a run facing a 20-point deficit. Despite struggling to shoot during his first stint in the first half, Dillingham came alive in the fourth quarter and helped the Wolves close the gap to as few as five points with 12 seconds remaining.
The game was a learning experience for Dillingham. For one, he was often switched defensively onto the likes of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, a crash course in trying to stick with the NBA’s best guards as an undersized player.
“I feel like before it was like alright, when I get a switch, I got to get off of him. Now it’s like, I just got to guard. So that’s how I look at it and I try to take on everyone, and even if I get a foul, you got to foul them (rather) than let them score,” he said.
It also came against his friend in Garland, who, at 6-foot-1, 192 pounds, could perhaps provide a blueprint for the 6-foot-3, 175-pound Dillingham as a player who’s shown what it takes to thrive as an undersized guard in the league.
“He definitely has a lot of things I could take after. Learning to draw fouls, getting all his players involved, also scoring the ball, so definitely can learn a bunch from him,” Dillingham said of Garland.
Minutes won’t be guaranteed for Dillingham. There will likely be more games this season where he doesn’t see minutes once DiVincenzo returns. But he’s still just a 20-year-old rookie. The key will be patience, maintaining the drive to improve that he already possesses, and just like Gobert said, turning that frustration of sparing minutes into something positive.
If it hasn’t already, Dillingham’s time will come. The Timberwolves have no doubts about that.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are preaching patience with their rookie guard Rob Dillingham, and for good reason. The young player, known for his flashy playmaking and scoring ability, has shown flashes of potential in his first few games in the NBA.
Despite his impressive skill set, the Timberwolves are taking a cautious approach with Dillingham, understanding that the transition to the NBA can be challenging for even the most talented rookies. Head coach Chris Finch has emphasized the importance of allowing Dillingham to develop at his own pace and not putting too much pressure on him too soon.
Dillingham himself has expressed his gratitude for the team’s patient approach, acknowledging that he still has a lot to learn and improve upon in his game. With the support of his coaches and teammates, he is confident that he will continue to grow and make a positive impact on the team.
While fans may be eager to see Dillingham reach his full potential, the Timberwolves are focused on nurturing his talent and ensuring that he has a successful and sustainable career in the NBA. By preaching patience with their rookie guard, they are setting him up for long-term success and helping him realize his full potential.
