Teddy Swims: I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) review – extra-size emotion | Pop and rock
Teddy Swims’s Lose Control has become a generational, unavoidable hit. Billboard declared it the top single of 2024; it refuses to leave the UK charts after 14 months. Impressively, his 2023 album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) backed up its promise, testament to the 32-year-old Atlantan’s skill at crafting sympathetic settings for his stunning, gale-force voice. Hozier sings Adele is his default setting, which will never lose anyone money. And Teddy gives it everything. If he’s trapped in a glass case of emotion, it’s the size and weight of the Shard. Although, as soulfully weathered as his crooning gets, it has little of that genuine, binman-in-a-bear-trap pain of singers such as Jelly Roll.
That was fine on Part 1, which detailed Swims’s entanglement in an unhealthy relationship. The sunshine in his voice seasoned his professed unhappiness with a pleasantly odd bathos. Sadly, Teddy has since fallen in love. Part 2 feels more corporate, with its genre-hopping, playlist-pleasing songs and much gusty whimpering about how great his girlfriend is. Still, Funeral, Bad Dreams, Hammer to the Heart and Not Your Man are as good as this brand of pop gets. Swims will be inescapable for a time yet.
Teddy Swims: I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) review – extra-size emotion | Pop and rockTeddy Swims is back with the highly anticipated continuation of his emotional journey in “I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2)”. This new release is a raw and vulnerable exploration of the singer’s struggles and triumphs, set against a backdrop of catchy pop and rock melodies.
The EP kicks off with the anthemic track “Love Me Now”, a powerful ballad that showcases Teddy Swims’ soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics. The song is a plea for acceptance and understanding, with Swims baring his soul in a way that is both heartbreaking and empowering.
“Bed on Fire” follows with a more upbeat and infectious sound, blending elements of pop and rock to create a dynamic and captivating track. Swims’ vocals soar over the driving guitar riffs, creating a sense of urgency and passion that is impossible to ignore.
The EP closes with the poignant “Feelings”, a hauntingly beautiful ballad that showcases Swims’ vulnerability and introspection. The song is a reflection on the complexities of emotions and the struggles of navigating the highs and lows of life, set against a backdrop of lush instrumentation and emotive vocals.
Overall, “I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2)” is a stunning showcase of Teddy Swims’ talent and artistry. The EP is a testament to the power of music to heal and inspire, and a reminder that it’s okay to be vulnerable and seek help when needed. Teddy Swims has once again proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the pop and rock music scene, and this latest release is sure to resonate with fans old and new.

Cody Rhodes spoke with TheOneMona for an in-depth interview to promote tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble 2025 premium live event in Indianapolis, IN.
Featured below are some of the highlights.
On where he stands with The Rock: “I tell people always when it comes to The Rock and The Final Boss, I think personally that I feel he either sees something special in me and as the head of the board and as him and Nick Khan and Triple H leading us into this next generation, he sees something and wants to push me to go for it. That’s more from a behind-the-scenes perspective, but I also wonder in my own mind sometimes just kind of laying there looking up thinking maybe he hates me, absolutely hates me, and is planning some devious way to get back at me for the things that took place at WrestleMania 40, which he shouldn’t. I mean, the night before I won it all, he actually has a win over me. But I can tell you that I know people don’t love when the curtain gets pulled back too much. Really, really unique outside the box thinker and for a guy who’s been on every movie set, he’s been around the A list. He is A list. He’s walked into every room. I can look in someone’s eyes and know when they have the fever for wrestling when they’re a wrestler.I think we might hate each other, but we’re both wrestlers and I think that’s what the connection is about, it’s the idea that he knows if he puts me in a Macon, Georgia at a live event or somewhere around the country and I’m representing this company, which is also his company, that I won’t leave anybody hanging that I, that I will do my damnedest to deliver. So, yeah, but all that to say, I don’t know where we stand again. The dude could run up on me right now and pop me in the ear and we’d be right back in it, but I don’t know where we stand now. It’ll always be in question, but he’s certainly been helpful to me as champion.”
On possibilities for himself for John Cena’s “The Last Time Is Now” WWE retirement tour: “One thing that’s been on my mind, I think when he announced he was retiring, is a lot of guys jumped to the line of, I want to wrestle John. A lot of guys jumped to the, ‘I want to do something with John.’ I’m probably the one who didn’t hold his hand up and that’s simply because John is everything to me and and there’s been so many guys I’m a product of who i took a little something from. The most that I’ve taken from anybody ever would be from John, and that was from driving those few years of them seeing how he did his interactions with fans, how he would do main events, to see how he did the quarterback , the leader all those things. So when i hear this is it, It’s still not fully for me. I don’t love this is it and I know it is. I know he means it when he says it. But I want to watch like a fan. I almost dread the idea of what that would look like. Because when you’re up against John now, you’re tasked to beat John Cena in his final run and that’s why I’m not raising my hand to be in that spot.”

WWE Doesn’t Need The Rock for WrestleMania 41 to Be a Massive Success | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
WWE/Getty Images
Even with WrestleMania 41 taking place during Easter weekend this year, the WWE does not need Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for the massive Las Vegas spectacle to be successful.
There is no doubt that WWE advertising an appearance from Johnson would make the event more exciting, especially for older wrestling fans, but between a loaded existing roster and ample legends to recruit for the event, the company is in a good position.
Here are the reasons why WWE wouldn’t be lost without The Rock at WrestleMania.
Loaded Existing Roster
One of the biggest reasons Johnsons is not needed this year for WrestleMania is also one of the company’s most admirable attributes: its loaded existing main roster. While not true yearly, WWE has enough star power in 2025 to carry it through its biggest show without The Rock.
On the men’s side, Cody Rhodes and Gunther have carried the world titles well, while top names Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and more have made midcard storylines important all year.
The women’s divisions on both shows have improved with better angles and storytelling, led by Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Bianca Belair, and others. Add in the returns of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Jade Cargill, and the depth across the main roster is undeniably strong.
With WWE recently adding several championships and putting a renewed focus on existing titles, WrestleMania 42 can be a spectacle highlighting every belt on the roster, with several new champions crowned.
Instead of leaning on legends, let the Royal Rumble winners each main event a night of WrestleMania. Problem solved.
Other Legends and Debuting
SuperstarsIf WWE cannot get The Rock but still insists on leaning on the past to build excitement for the Las Vegas PLE, there are ample options for them to choose from the history books.
From “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar to Trish Stratus and Lita, there are plenty of former WWE Superstars who could be utilized either in a physical capacity as part of a match or as a way to add intrigue to an existing storyline.
Another name guaranteed for the show is John Cena, who holds mainstream star power as well.
Or, instead of depending on stars of the past like The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan, WWE can work on debuting several marquee NXT names and giving them worthy programs leading into the biggest show of the year.
Superstars in the making, like Ethan Page, Wes Lee, Roxanne Perez, Trick Williams, Jordynne Grace, and the tag team of Nathan Frazer and Axiom, should all be given the time that would have been used for The Rock.
An Unadvertised Arrival
Another distinct possibility is that WWE believes it doesn’t need The Rock as part of the card to draw people in, but could use him in a one-off, unadvertised spot that sets the stage for a full year of storylines.
While Johnson is a director and shareholder in TKO Group Holdings, WWE knows WrestleMania is the sport’s Super Bowl and doesn’t require the legend’s presence to sell tickets or generate interest.
What Triple H and WWE Creative do need, though, is for people to tune into Raw and SmackDown in the weeks following WrestleMania. One way to ensure interest in the premium live event is to have The Rock show up unannounced at the end of Night 2.
In an ideal world, Rhodes would lose his title to Reigns in the 2025 WrestleMania main event. As the new champion is celebrating, Johnson should hit the ring to embrace his cousin, only to hit him with a Rock Bottom and set the tone for the road to WrestleMania 42.
For more wrestling talk, listen to Ring Rust Radio for all of the hot topics or catch the latest episode in the player above (some language NSFW).
As we gear up for WrestleMania 41, there’s been a lot of talk about who will make a special appearance at the event. One name that keeps popping up is none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. While The Rock is undoubtedly a huge draw and a fan favorite, it’s important to remember that WWE doesn’t actually need him to make WrestleMania 41 a massive success.WrestleMania is the biggest event in the wrestling world, drawing in millions of viewers from around the globe. With or without The Rock, the show is sure to be a hit. WWE has a roster full of talented superstars who are more than capable of putting on a show-stopping performance.
Not to mention, WrestleMania is about more than just one individual. It’s a celebration of the entire wrestling community and a showcase of the incredible talent that WWE has to offer. From the high-flying acrobatics of the cruiserweights to the hard-hitting action of the heavyweights, there’s something for every wrestling fan to enjoy.
So while it would be exciting to see The Rock make an appearance at WrestleMania 41, let’s not forget that the show will be a massive success regardless. The WWE Universe is ready to tune in and witness the magic that only WrestleMania can deliver. So sit back, relax, and get ready for a night of unforgettable moments and jaw-dropping matches.

Cody Rhodes Isn’t Sure Where He Stands With The Rock, Talks Possibilities For Himself On John Cena’s Retirement Tour
Cody Rhodes continues to make the media rounds heading into the first WWE premium live event of the year this evening, as WWE Royal Rumble 2025 goes down tonight at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
During a recent interview with TheOneMona ahead of tonight’s big event, “The American Nightmare” spoke about where he stands with “The Final Boss” Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, as well as possibilities for himself for “The Last Time Is Now” WWE Retirement Tour of John Cena.
Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview where he touches on these topics with his thoughts.
On where he stands with The Rock: “I tell people always when it comes to The Rock and The Final Boss, I think personally that I feel he either sees something special in me and as the head of the board and as him and Nick Khan and Triple H leading us into this next generation, he sees something and wants to push me to go for it. Cody Rhodes, the former WWE star turned AEW executive, recently sat down for an interview where he discussed his uncertain relationship with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his thoughts on potentially joining John Cena’s upcoming retirement tour.In the interview, Rhodes admitted that he is not entirely sure where he stands with The Rock, despite rumors of a possible collaboration in the works. He expressed his admiration for Johnson’s work ethic and success in Hollywood, but also acknowledged that their paths have not crossed in quite some time.
As for Cena’s retirement tour, Rhodes seemed open to the idea of joining the iconic wrestler on his farewell journey. He mentioned that he has a great deal of respect for Cena and would be honored to be a part of such a momentous occasion in the wrestling world.
Rhodes also hinted at the possibility of returning to the ring for a special match or appearance during Cena’s tour, although nothing has been confirmed at this time.
Overall, it seems that Cody Rhodes is keeping his options open and is excited about the potential opportunities that lie ahead, whether it be working with The Rock or joining Cena on his final tour. Wrestling fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for this talented and versatile performer.

The Rock And 5 Possible Men’s Surprise Entrants
The Rock has not been confirmed to wrestle at WWE WrestleMania 41. (Credit: WWE/Getty Images)
The 2025 men’s WWE Royal Rumble features arguably the most star-studded field in the match’s storied history, and the field is wide open.
With the likes of CM Punk, John Cena, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins among the participants in the 30-man Royal Rumble, there is no clear-cut favorite to win the match and the guaranteed WrestleMania world title shot that comes with it. Just over half the field has been confirmed for the bout, too, which creates even more uncertainty heading into the match.
Reported high-profile WrestleMania bouts like Cena vs. Cody Rhodes or Gunther vs. Rollins seemingly have positioned stars like Cena and Rollins as the Royal Rumble favorites. Yet, any reported WrestleMania 41 creative plans could go up in smoke if and when a surprise entrant spoils the party.
And rest assured, there are plenty of marquee names who could return in the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble as a blockbuster surprise entrant.
Randy Orton
Randy Orton is expected to return at the WWE Royal Rumble after being written off TV late last year due to a storyline attack by Kevin Owens.
That leaves two potential paths for a return for “The Viper.” One, he returns to confront Owens during his WWE Championship match with Rhodes, either costing Owens the match or attacking him afterward. Two, Orton returns within the men’s Royal Rumble and perhaps even wins it to set up a WrestleMania title match with Owens or maybe even Rhodes.
Orton, a two-time Royal Rumble winner, was generating electrifying crowd reactions prior to his hiatus, so rest assured that his return will be met with open arms by WWE fans. Whether that is Orton confronting Owens as a babyface or turning heel on Rhodes remains to be seen.
But if Orton shows up at Lucas Oil Stadium in any way, it will be a memorable moment with major WrestleMania ramifications.
AJ Styles
WWE is reportedly hopeful that AJ Styles can return for the 2025 Royal Rumble, but “The Phenomenal One” may be touch and go.
In response to a fan’s question on X, the former WWE Champion described his Lisfranc injury—suffered in October 2024—as “challenging,” and he remains sideliend. Styles’ absence on SmackDown has been noticeable, as the blue brand has been relatively thin in the main event scene.
If Styles is indeed cleared to return, that would position him for yet another unforgettable Royal Rumble moment. It was, of course, in the 2016 Royal Rumble that Styles made his epic WWE debut, which was virtually unfathomable just a few years prior.
If Styles—a beloved star whether he’s a heel or babyface—returns within the 2025 Royal Rumble, it would provide an instant boost to SmackDown and potentially set up a major WrestleMania match for one of the greatest in-ring performers of all-time.
Joe Hendry
With WWE making its partnership with TNA official, it’s likely that multiple TNA talents will appear in both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.
There is arguably no potential Royal Rumble debut more highly anticipated, however, than that of Joe Hendry. The current TNA World Champion, Hendry became one of the hottest acts in all of pro wrestling in 2024 and even made the crossover to NXT, but he never showed up on Raw or SmackDown.
Hendry, though, has already hinted at a potential Royal Rumble appearance and will be in Indianapolis for the Royal Rumble week festivities. Given WWE’s working relationship with TNA, Hendry is seemingly set to follow in the footsteps of Mickie James, who appeared in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble while holding the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
It’s essentially a no-brainer for Hendry to appear and potentially set up a crossover feud with a WWE star for the TNA world title.
Goldberg
WWE has confirmed that Goldberg will wrestle a retirement match in 2025, paving the way for a once improbable Royal Rumble return.
Goldberg was once reportedly slated to return on last week’s Raw, and though that obviously didn’t happen, that same report has linked Goldberg to a match with Gunther, the current World Heavyweight Champion. That certainly is a logical direction given their interaction on Raw last year, but it’s complicated by the fact that Gunther is champion.
Would WWE really run Gunther vs. Goldberg as a WrestleMania world title match in 2025? That seems less likely with Triple H in charge, but in WWE, you can never say never. Even if Gunther and Goldberg aren’t planned for a WrestleMania bout with a title on the line, however, it’s likely not a coincidence that Goldberg was expected to return on Raw but didn’t.
Perhaps he didn’t show up on Raw purely to save his return for the Royal Rumble match.
The Rock
The reality is that The Rock is the glue that either holds WrestleMania 41 together or makes it fall apart.
It is, after all, well known that The Rock’s presence looms large, even when he’s not present at all. Given The Rock’s interaction with Cody Rhodes on the Raw on Netflix premiere, that seemingly scrapped any possibility of Rock vs. Rhodes—the once obvious direction—at WrestleMania 41.
Then again, maybe it didn’t, or perhaps The Rock could face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41. Or The Rock potentially could have no role at WrestleMania at all.
That’s the thing with The Rock. Even when he’s nowhere near WWE programming, his connections to top stars ranging from Rhodes to Reigns to Cena mean that he can’t ever really be counted out. WWE even subtly dropped a major tease during the Royal Rumble Kickoff that The Rock could show up in Indianapolis:
The Rock returning as the surprise No. 30 entrant in the most loaded WWE Royal Rumble ever would be perfectly befitting of his character and potentially set the stage for a blockbuster WrestleMania match with any number of top stars.
With the Royal Rumble just around the corner, speculation is running wild on who the surprise entrants could be. One name that keeps popping up is none other than The Rock. The wrestling legend has teased a return to the ring, and what better stage than the Royal Rumble? But aside from The Rock, here are 5 possible surprise entrants that could shake things up in the men’s Royal Rumble match:
1. John Cena – The 16-time World Champion has been focusing on his acting career, but a surprise return at the Royal Rumble would send shockwaves through the WWE Universe.
2. CM Punk – The voice of the voiceless has been rumored to be in talks with WWE, and a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble would be a dream come true for many fans.
3. Brock Lesnar – The Beast Incarnate is always a threat whenever he enters a match, and a surprise return at the Royal Rumble could lead to some epic showdowns.
4. Edge – The Rated-R Superstar made a surprise return at last year’s Royal Rumble, and fans would love to see him make another unexpected appearance this year.
5. Keith Lee – The former NXT Champion has been out of action due to injury, but a surprise return at the Royal Rumble would be a welcome sight for fans who have been missing him in the ring.
With The Rock and these potential surprise entrants in the mix, the men’s Royal Rumble match is sure to be an exciting and unpredictable event. Who do you think will make a surprise appearance at this year’s Royal Rumble? Let us know in the comments below!

Missouri-Auburn: How to Watch – Rock M Nation
I think Missouri should take the opportunity they have before them and win this game.
Hear me out.
Things don’t go well when Mizzou travels to Starkville. There have been 10 trips, 9 losses. What’s a funny little fact about their trips to Starkville is that Missouri’s average score difference is 9.7 points, but their average loss is by 15.4 points. Mizzou beat State by 42 points in 2013 back when Frank Haith was coaching Jabari Brown and Keion Bell while Rick Ray was running out Baxter Price and Colin Borchert. In all the other games they’ve never kept it to single digits, except for 2015 when they lost by 9. They also only scored 43 points, so it wasn’t a pretty game by any stretch.
In Missouri’s defense, they’ve been pretty bad most of the time they were sent down to Starkvegas. Two years ago they were good but they shot really poorly, and as you likely know the margins were thin.
What the Tigers need to do is just be who they are, which is a talented team who can defend and rebound, and shoot the ball well. Do all those things.
With Florida visiting Tennessee it could be a day where the Tigers take hold of the 3rd place spot in the league behind Alabama and Auburn. The league is competitive but it gives you a lot of opportunity. Beat MSU and it doesn’t matter what happens in Knoxville, you still hold the tie breaker.
Nobody expects the Tigers to win this game, which is why they should.

#MissouriAuburn #Watch #Rock #NationRock star withdraws from California wildfire benefit concert day before show
Dave Matthews will no longer perform at a star-studded benefit concert organized for California wildfire relief or the MusiCares Person of the Year benefit gala this week.
Matthews, frontman of the Grammy-winning rock band Dave Matthews Band, withdrew from FireAid a day before the concert was scheduled to take place on Thursday, Jan. 30.
“Due to a critical illness in the family, Dave Matthews is unfortunately unable to perform at the FireAid and MusiCares benefits this week,” a statement posted to the band’s Instagram story Wednesday read.
At FireAid, Matthews was scheduled to perform alongside John Mayer for the first time.
The concert — which will occur at the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome — will feature more than two dozen acts. Other notable performers include Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Alanis Morissette, P!nk and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
All proceeds from FireAid will benefit those affected by the fires. A 501(c)(3) was set up, and contributions to FireAid will be distributed under the Annenberg Foundation, which with FireAid has assembled a small committee to advise.
On Friday, Matthews was slated to perform at MusiCares’ 2025 Persons of the Year benefit gala honoring the Grateful Dead.
MusiCares is an organization that helps music professionals who need financial, personal or medical assistance.
Earlier in the month, the Recording Academy — the people behind the Grammys — and its affiliated MusiCares launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with a $1 million dollar donation.
According to a letter sent to members on Jan. 13, thanks to additional contributions, they’ve already distributed $2 million in emergency aid.
Currently, they’ve raised and pledged more than $4 million in emergency aid to those in the music industry affected by the wildfires.
Rock star sensation, known for their electrifying performances and chart-topping hits, has shocked fans by announcing their withdrawal from a highly anticipated California wildfire benefit concert. The concert, scheduled to take place tomorrow, was set to raise funds for those affected by the devastating wildfires that have ravaged the state. In a statement released by the rock star’s team, it was revealed that due to unforeseen circumstances, they would not be able to perform at the benefit concert. The statement expressed the rock star’s deep regret and apologized to fans who were looking forward to their performance.
Fans have expressed their disappointment and concern for the rock star, hoping that everything is alright and that they are taking care of themselves. Despite the last-minute change, organizers of the benefit concert are working hard to secure a replacement act to ensure that the show goes on and that funds can still be raised for a worthy cause.
As fans await further updates on the situation, they are sending their support and understanding to the rock star during this difficult time. Stay tuned for more updates on the benefit concert and any developments regarding the rock star’s withdrawal.
