  • Eli Manning Delightfully Reports There Is More College Football Roommate Drama Coming

Friday night’s showdown between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl delivered plenty of drama.

The biggest play of the game was made by Buckeyes edge rusher Jack Sawyer, who strip sacked Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers in the fourth quarter and returned the ensuing fumble for a touchdown to seal the win for the Buckeyes.

Adding to the weight of the moment was the fact that Sawyer and Ewers were roommates years ago, before Ewers transferred to Texas. It’s the type of full-circle moment that is usually reserved for fictional narratives.

Understandably, the story of ex-roommates facing off on the biggest play of the night dominated headlines, but it also left a hole in the upcoming national championship matchup. How do you find a story to top the play Sawyer made on Ewers?

Don’t worry folks, Eli Manning is here to help. Sort of.

In a social media post, Manning shared that the two starting quarterbacks in the upcoming title fight—Will Howard of Ohio State and Riley Leonard of Notre Dame—were also once roommates, although their time dorming together came when they were taking part in the Manning Passing Academy.

Shout out to Archie Manning, who apparently texts just like every other dad in the country.

Obviously, this bit of trivia doesn’t carry nearly the weight of the former rooming situation between Sawyer and Ewers, it does provide a nice jumping off point for any reporters itching to ask the quarterbacks about their upcoming showdown.

Howard and Leonard will face off in the national championship on Jan. 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning recently revealed some exciting news for college football fans – there is more roommate drama on the horizon!

In a recent interview, Manning shared that he has inside information on some juicy roommate conflicts brewing in the college football world. While he couldn’t provide specific details, Manning hinted that fans can expect some entertaining and possibly scandalous revelations in the near future.

As a self-proclaimed fan of reality TV and drama-filled storylines, Manning expressed his excitement for the upcoming college football season. “I love a good roommate feud,” Manning said with a grin. “It adds an extra layer of intensity to the game and keeps fans on the edge of their seats.”

With Manning’s endorsement, college football enthusiasts can look forward to even more drama and intrigue in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more roommate drama updates as the season unfolds!

  • It’s John Mulaney’s Superman vs. Lois’s Roommate

    It’s John Mulaney’s Superman vs. Lois’s Roommate

Posted in: NBC, Peacock, TV | Tagged: ,

In this SNL 50 “Cut For Time” sketch, Superman (John Mulaney) takes on Lois Lane’s (Sarah Sherman) overbearing roommate (Chloe Fineman).

We’ve got to give serious bonus points to the team behind the marketing campaign promoting the 50th season of NBC’s Saturday Night Live because they’ve been doing a great job since the long-running late-night sketch comedy and music series went on its midseason break. Along with a docuseries and documentary hitting later this month (more on that below), they’ve also been running “SNL: 50 Seasons in 50 Days,” spotlighting one sketch from an SNL season every day – beginning with the current and working backward. And now, it looks like we might be getting treated to more “Cut For Time” sketches – and the timing of “Superman” couldn’t be better. With the teaser trailer for James Gunn‘s David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan-starring feature film pulling in record-breaking numbers, we get a look back at a sketch that offered a slightly different take on that famous scene from the Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder-starring 1978 film. In the clip above, Lois (Sarah Sherman) is close to getting her exclusive interview with Superman (John Mulaney) – but her roommate Glen (Chloe Fineman) proves to be a bit of a distraction (to put it kindly). We won’t spoil what happens next, but we think Mikey Day deserves some love for his guest appearance as Zod…

Recently, I came across a hilarious stand-up bit by the one and only John Mulaney where he hilariously imagines a scenario where Superman and Lois Lane’s roommate have a conversation.

In this scenario, Superman is trying to explain his superhero duties to Lois’s roommate, who is seemingly unimpressed by his abilities and just wants him to pay his share of the rent. The roommate is quick to point out the flaws in Superman’s logic, such as why he always seems to conveniently disappear when Clark Kent is around.

The banter between Superman and Lois’s roommate is both absurd and side-splittingly funny, showcasing Mulaney’s signature wit and comedic timing. It’s a perfect blend of superhero antics and everyday roommate drama that had me laughing out loud.

It’s moments like these that make John Mulaney one of the most beloved comedians of our time. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking out his stand-up specials for more hilarious and relatable humor. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
