MIDLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) – A student at Midland High School was killed in a crash Thursday morning.
The crash happened on M-20, just west of South 5 Mile Road in Homer Township, around 6:40 a.m.
According to the Midland County Sheriff’s Office, a 17-year-old girl was driving a Chevrolet Sonic east on M-20 when she lost control on the ice and snow-covered roadway and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado going west on M-20. The pickup truck was being driven by a 41-year-old man from Midland.
The 17-year-old student was pronounced dead at the scene. No other people were in the vehicle at the time.
Police say the 41-year-old appeared to have suffered minor injuries but refused further treatment.
Toxicology results are pending, but police believe road conditions and speed were factors in the crash.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of a tragic accident involving a Midland High School student. The student, whose identity has not been released, was involved in a fatal crash early Thursday morning.

Use a conduit cutter for smooth and easy cuts.When attaching the lower cross piece to the poles, use fittings that allow the pole to pass through without cutting so the cross piece can be raised or lowered to match the screen attachment method you use. To make attaching the screen quick and easy I attached a Velcro strip to each screen grommet. Cut a short slit in one end of the strip with scissors, and thread the strip through the grommet and then through the slit. Screen came packaged very well, in its own zipper-carry case. Easy to unpack, and spread out. Comes with detailed care and usage instructions as well.

The screen itself was very bright, and definitely had a little bit of reflection to it, which made the screen images pop out. The material was thick enough to prevent any bleed through from behind during projection at night.

Constructed a portable frame out of 2" PVC and used a combination of 6" and 9" ball bungees for hanging. It's quite stretchy (like a polyester workout shirt) so you have to find the right amount of tension. Too much and it begins to get out of shape, too little and it will sag due to the weight. But with a reasonable amount of tension there are no visible creases or fold lines and holds it's shape well. The grommets are all consistently spaced and seem reasonably solid. While substantial its not too heavy and the 2" PVC and easily support it. We have only had it for a month and have taken it up and put it away a half dozen times so far with no issue. Screen quality is good with no visible blemishes or stains. Can't comment on how it does after being washed as there hasn't been a need for that to date.
It does not have a solid or reflective backing so it does need to be reasonably dark to see the picture and backlight will come through. Keep in mind that this thing is BIG! I received this projection screen with much enthusiasm. The screen seems to be a very durable design however the one issue I ran into is that I cannot get some of the creases out. I received this screen and immediately mounted it onto my wall. In an attempt to remove the wrinkles I made sure to pull the projection surface tight. The screen has been on my walls a little over a week now but the creases continue to be very visible and somewhat distracting. Some of the surfaces have smoothed out and in those areas the images are great. I have not had the opportunity to roll it up tightly in an attempt to remove the blemishes as indicated by instructions because I have no way to store it. I do like the bag that came with it to store the screen in when not in use but I think it will create more creases. At this point I think I would have been better off purchasing a retractable screen that hopefully would not have the creases that this screen has. The materials are sturdy and I think if I can ever get the wrinkles out it will be a great way to project images out side.
Very good quality. I used a clothes steamer to get most the wrinkles out. Amazing picture quality even with it not being completely dark outside. Even better image when it’s dark and the stars are out. I am going to get a lot of use out of this.

School Spirits will-they-won’t-they couple Maddie (Peyton List) and Wally (Milo Manheim) locked ghost lips last season, and Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive season 2 trailer that reveals yet another very steamy moment between them. The fact that they’re shirtless but not (yet?) kissing again is a mystery that needs to be investigated with the same dedication Maddie had for the case of her body snatcher.
Maddie (and viewers) were thrown for a loop in the season 1 finale of the spooky Paramount+ series when she discovered that Janet (Jess Gabor), another ghost that everyone assumed moved on, had actually stolen her body instead. Now the mystery of what happened to Maddie turns to whether she could still be alive if she gets her body back from Janet.
“I thought my life was over,” Maddie says in the trailer. “Stuck between the real world and the afterlife. But the real question is, am I even dead?”

“The Buddy Way,” the upcoming ESPN documentary executive produced by Peyton Manning, will debut on Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. ET.
The documentary follows the historic career of Coach Eugene F. “Buddy” Teevens III, starting from his early years in Pembroke, Mass. before tracking his time as a multi-sport athlete and his important role at the Manning Passing Academy.
