  • Why Investors Should Be “Encouraged” with Bumble (NASDAQ:BMBL) Leadership Shakeup

Investors in Bumble (BMBL) should be positive about the major shake-up at the dating app, with a host of new leadership changes and updated financials indicating the stock could be on the up after a troubled year.

    Stay Ahead of the Market:

Wells Fargo top-rated analyst Ken Gawrelski said he was “encouraged” by the return of founder Whitney Wolfe Herd as CEO of Bumble, part of the company’s current turnaround plans. He maintained a Hold rating on the stock while awaiting the strategic update for 2025.

Founder leadership involved again “could enable significant change at a time when it may very well be needed in the online dating industry,” the five-star analyst told investors in a research note.

However, one-star Bank of America analyst Curtis Nagle reiterated his Sell rating on the stock following the news.

    BMBL Founder Returns

It comes after the company announced last week that founder Wolfe Herd is returning to the helm, as it struggles with an increasingly competitive dating app industry and changing consumer needs.

Shares of BMBL fell after the company announced Wolfe Herd, who has been the driving force behind the app since inception, was replacing Lidiane Jones, who was barely in the job a year.

Moreover, it follows a 45% decline in the stock over the last 12 months with an app refresh failing to land well with younger audiences, it seems. It also follows the departures of finance chief Anu Subramanian, a key player in the stock’s initial public offering in 2021, as well as marketing head Selby Drummond.

    BMBL Raises Outlook

Nevertheless, the company also raised its outlook for its Fiscal fourth quarter 2024, saying total revenue and Bumble App revenue would come in above the midpoints of the previously provided outlook ranges. Adjusted earnings in Q4 would still come within the previously disclosed outlook range, the company said.

Is BMBL a Good Stock to Buy?

Overall, Wall Street has a Hold consensus rating on the stock, based on four Buy, 11 Holds and one Sell. The average BMBL price target of $8.15 implies over 5% upside potential from current levels after the stock declined 45% in the last 12 months.

Investors in Bumble (NASDAQ:BMBL) have reason to be encouraged by the recent leadership shakeup at the company. Bumble, the popular dating app where women make the first move, has undergone some significant changes at the top level that could signal positive developments for the company’s future.

One of the most notable changes is the appointment of a new CEO, Tariq Shaukat, who brings with him a wealth of experience from his time at Google and other tech companies. Shaukat’s background in digital marketing and strategy could help Bumble expand its user base and increase its revenue streams.

Additionally, the company has also made changes to its board of directors, adding new members with diverse backgrounds and expertise. This could bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the table, helping Bumble navigate the competitive dating app market more effectively.

Overall, these leadership changes show that Bumble is committed to growth and innovation, which should be reassuring for investors. With the right leadership in place, Bumble has the potential to continue its impressive growth trajectory and deliver value to shareholders in the long run. Investors should be encouraged by these developments and optimistic about Bumble’s future prospects.

  • Wolf Blitzer Pushed to Morning Show in Massive CNN Shakeup

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer is reportedly moving to a morning time slot to make room for new talent, amid a larger shakeup at the embattled network.

Blitzer, the long-tenured host of The Situation Room at 6 p.m., will launch a new morning show with Pamela Brown, CNN’s chief investigative correspondent.

The shakeup at the network is part of an effort to pave the way for newer talent while allowing popular anchors like Blitzer to remain on the air, sources told Status, a newsletter written by former CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy.

Blitzer and Brown’s show would reportedly be two hours long, but it’s unclear if they would adopt The Situation Room branding, or what time it would be at.

The move means that CNN would have to cut an hour of programming, which may mean Jim Acosta’s 10 a.m. show is on the chopping block, sources told Status. Acosta frequently sparred with Donald Trump during his first term.

The network is also considering moving morning anchor Kasie Hunt from her 5 a.m. slot to a 4 p.m. show, which would be a major promotion. It would also shift Jake Tapper’s The Lead to 5 p.m., closer to primetime.

CNN is also considering expanding Erin Burnett’s nightly show OutFront.

The reshuffle comes as CNN’s ratings have steadily fallen since Trump’s re-election. The network’s viewership dropped off by 49 percent since November, according to Nielsen ratings.

In a stunning shakeup at CNN, veteran anchor Wolf Blitzer has been pushed to a morning show slot, signaling a major restructuring at the network.

Blitzer, who has been a staple at CNN for decades, will now be co-hosting the morning show alongside a yet-to-be-named co-anchor. The move comes as CNN looks to revamp its programming lineup and attract a younger, more diverse audience.

While Blitzer is known for his serious and straight-laced reporting style, the morning show format will give him the opportunity to show a different side of himself and engage with viewers in a more casual setting.

The decision to move Blitzer to mornings has sparked mixed reactions among viewers, with some expressing excitement to see a new side of the anchor, while others are skeptical of the change.

Only time will tell how this massive shakeup at CNN will ultimately impact the network’s ratings and overall viewership. Stay tuned for more updates as this story unfolds.

  • Kalen DeBoer refines DC Kane Wommack’s role, elevates Chuck Morrell in Alabama staff shakeup

Kalen DeBoer refines DC Kane Wommack’s role, elevates Chuck Morrell in Alabama staff shakeup

Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer has elevated his former defensive coordinator Chuck Morrell to inside linebackers coach, according to the Alabama Athletics staff directory. Morrell served as special assistant to the head coach this past season.

As a result, defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, who doubled as the inside linebackers coach, will only serve as a coordinator in 2025 overseeing the defense. That move is also reflected in the school directory.

These moves coincide with multiple reports on Friday that safeties coach Colin Hitschler will not be retained on staff. With Morrell’s promotion and Wommack’s shift in role, cornerbacks coach Maurice Linguist is in line to oversee the entire secondary. These moves keep Alabama at 10 full-time assistant coaches.

DeBoer and Morrell have extensive history together. The two were teammates at Sioux Falls and coached together from 2000 to ’09. Morrell joined DeBoer at Fresno State as his safeties coach from 2020 to ’21, then served as Washington’s defensive coordinator from 2022 to ’23 before following DeBoer to Alabama in an off-field role.

With the NCAA rule change allowing off-field staffers to coach on the field, Morrell worked extensively with the inside linebackers as far back as spring practice. Now he will coach that position full-time, taking over a room that lost Jihaad Campbell to the NFL Draft on Thursday but signed Colorado transfer linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green and is expecting senior Justin Jefferson to return for one more season.

In a recent staff shakeup at the University of Alabama, new defensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer has made some key adjustments to the coaching staff. One of the most notable changes is the refinement of former DC Kane Wommack’s role, as well as the elevation of Chuck Morrell within the coaching staff.

DeBoer, who was recently hired as the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator, has decided to keep Wommack on staff but in a more specialized role. Wommack, who previously served as the defensive coordinator, will now focus on coaching a specific position group and providing valuable input to DeBoer and the rest of the defensive staff.

In addition to Wommack’s new role, DeBoer has also elevated Chuck Morrell to a more prominent position within the coaching staff. Morrell, who previously served as an analyst, will now serve as a full-time assistant coach and will have a larger role in game planning and player development.

These changes reflect DeBoer’s commitment to building a strong and cohesive coaching staff at Alabama. With Wommack’s expertise and Morrell’s new responsibilities, the Crimson Tide’s defense is sure to be in good hands under DeBoer’s leadership.

  • American Idol crew prefers Carrie Underwood to ‘chaotic’ and ‘stormy’ years with Katy Perry as judge in show shakeup

American Idol crew prefers Carrie Underwood to ‘chaotic’ and ‘stormy’ years with Katy Perry as judge in show shakeup

THE AMERICAN Idol crew has grown to ‘prefer’ Carrie Underwood on the show after enduring ‘chaotic’ years with Katy Perry as a judge, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

Following seven turbulent seasons in the Idol judges’ seat, the Teenage Dream pop star called it quits earlier this year and was replaced by the country sensation – who won the singing competition back in 2005.

Katy, 40, announced her departure from American Idol in February to focus on music and months later, released her latest album Lifetimes

However, the pop album, which includes her lead single Woman’s World, ultimately flopped on the music charts and was heavily panned by critics and fans.

ABC announced shortly after Katy’s exit that country-pop superstar Carrie, 41, would be sliding into her place on the judging panel exactly 20 years after winning season 4.

She will be joining judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie – who have starred on the show since 2018.

According to a production insider, Carrie has been a “godsend” for the show – which has already completed filming its nationwide auditions ahead of the March 9 premiere.

“I hate to sound so cheesy but actually it’s like is a ray of sunshine after a chaotic and stormy few years with some of the on-camera talent,” the source said of having Carrie on set.

During her years on the show, Katy was embroiled in controversy – including kissing a younger contestant who later said the move made him “uncomfortable” as well as being accused of “mom shaming” a woman auditioning for the show.

“To put it bluntly, everyone in the crew, the studio suits, all the producers – really everyone is much happier and more comfortable now with Carrie on the panel.

“Katy never fully fit in, there was something always off about her dynamic with the rest of the Idol team. There was also an unpredictability factor there that did not sit right with people.

“Even with Luke and Lionel, it got better but it never quite felt right. Carrie is very professional and a natural.

“She’s been close with Luke for years, knows and adores Ryan and she’s known many of the producers for years too. She hits it off great and bonds well with Lionel.”

The source claimed that “everyone who works on the show 100% prefers working with Carrie to Katy” and in their view, it is “not even a question” of who the better judge is.

Katy Perry called out for ‘disrespectful’ move toward American Idol crowd during judge’s final episode

“Once the audience sees this new season, I think they’ll feel the same way. Carrie is kind of a combination of Paula and Simon.

“She leads with the niceness of Paula and is so sweet and nurturing to these contestants but she isn’t afraid to give constructive feedback and be honest, a la Simon, when she needs to be.”

Carrie’s season of the show included the iconic original trio of judges who helmed the pop culture juggernaut during its first decade – Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson.

The source revealed that filming this season so far has been “very emotional” for Carrie as her career started on that very same set.

However, since the judging panel is different now than it was back in 2005, the moment that hit Carrie the hardest was seeing Ryan Seacrest – who has hosted every episode of the show since it premiered in 2002 – interacting with the hopeful contestants.

“This season was really emotional for her after starting out on that same set.

“Since the judges are different from when she was on the show, it didn’t really hit her until she saw Ryan mingling with the contestants getting ready to audition because that was her, that was Carrie not too long ago and now she’s on the other side of the desk.

“A lot of tears were spilled, Carrie was very emotional,” the insider added.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to an Idol rep for comment.

    AMERICA’S SWEETHEART

Grammy-winning songstress Carrie was just 21-years-old when she auditioned for Idol and famously had never left her home state of Oklahoma, or had even been on an airplane, before securing her golden ticket to Hollywood.

She impressed the judges immediately and captivated America’s hearts for an overwhelming win over runner-up Bo Bice.

Who are the past American Idol winners?

The previous American Idol winners include:

    Kelly Clarkson (2002)

    Ruben Studdard (2003)

    Fantasia Barrino (2004)

    Carrie Underwood (2005)

    Just Sam (2020)

    Chayce Beckham (2021)

Since her victory, Carrie has gone on to sell over 85 million records worldwide, has had 28 number one singles and has won eight Grammys, 16 Academy of Country Music Awards as well as 25 CMT Music Awards.

After announcing her being cast on the show, Carrie went on Good Morning America to give fans a preview of what they can expect from her as a new judge.

“I do have a big problem … I can’t lie. I feel like I’ll be very honest but hopefully constructive and encouraging,” she admitted.

“It feels like home. There are so many people that even still work on the show that were there when I was a contestant.

“I feel like being on both sides of the coin, I’ll be able to hopefully offer some insight, and help,” she added.

Season 23 of American Idol premieres on Sunday, March 9, 2025 on ABC.

In a recent shakeup on American Idol, it has been revealed that the crew prefers former winner Carrie Underwood to the “chaotic” and “stormy” years with Katy Perry as a judge. Underwood, who won the fourth season of the show in 2005, is reportedly a favorite among the crew members for her professionalism, talent, and positive attitude.

According to sources close to the production, Perry’s time as a judge on the show was marked by drama, diva behavior, and clashes with fellow judges and crew members. Her unpredictable and often controversial antics reportedly created a tense and difficult working environment for everyone involved.

In contrast, Underwood is praised for her down-to-earth personality, work ethic, and genuine love for music. Her success story as a country music superstar who got her start on American Idol has inspired many contestants and crew members alike.

While the show’s producers have not officially announced any changes to the judging panel, there is speculation that they may be considering bringing Underwood back in some capacity to help stabilize the show and bring back some of the magic that made it a hit in its early seasons.

Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting any news on the upcoming season and are hopeful that American Idol will return to its former glory with Underwood at the helm.
