“I’m in no hurry to jump into production right now, I’ve been doing that for 30 years,” Tarantino told the audience. “The idea of jumping on a voyage when they’re too young to understand it is not enticing to me. I kind of want to not do whatever movie I end up doing until my son is at least 6. That way he’ll know whats’ going on, he’ll be there,and it will be a memory for the rest of his life.” For the record, Tarantino’s son was born in 2020, which will make him six years old in 2026.
Tarantino did say he’s working on a play, which he hopes will be released in the next year. He said, “If that’s a smash hit, that might be my last movie.“
I still think it was a mistake to announce that he was going to quit after his tenth movie. Not to say he shouldn’t if that’s what he wants, but expectations are already sky-high for any Tarantino project, and this sent them skyrocketing to near-impossible-to-achieve levels. It might have been better to just make his film and say, “I’m out!” after the fact. That said, if anyone can pull off the triumphant exit, my money is on Tarantino.

We still don’t know why Tarantino scrapped The Movie Critic, but those close to the director said that he “had grown more excited by other ideas.“

DETROIT (WWJ) — A Detroit man is facing more than a dozen charges after allegedly shooting at a woman on the freeway in what Michigan State Police officials say is a case of mistaken identity.
James Edward Murden, 32, was arraigned Sunday on 17 total felony charges, including attempted murder and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
The shooting happened on Dec. 26 along I-94 near Mt. Elliott, according to MSP.
Authorities say a woman was driving home with her two children in her car the day after Christmas when she was shot.
Investigators used technology to develop Murden as a suspect and later determined that the car the woman was driving was mistaken for another person that the suspect knew, according to MSP.
Officials did not disclose the victim’s condition after the shooting.
Murden has been charged with three counts of assault with intent to murder, three counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, eight counts of felony firearm and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a weapon at a vehicle and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
His bond was set at $300,000 cash or surety. MSP officials did not release any information about his next court date.
MSP officials have not said what led Murden to allegedly open fire on who he thought was a different person in the car.

Detroit man accused of shooting at woman with two kids in her car on I-94 because he thought it was someone else
DETROIT (WWJ) — A Detroit man is facing more than a dozen charges after allegedly shooting at a woman on the freeway in what Michigan State Police officials say is a case of mistaken identity.
James Edward Murden, 32, was arraigned Sunday on 17 total felony charges, including attempted murder and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
The shooting happened on Dec. 26 along I-94 near Mt. Elliott, according to MSP.
Authorities say a woman was driving home with her two children in her car the day after Christmas when she was shot.
Investigators used technology to develop Murden as a suspect and later determined that the car the woman was driving was mistaken for another person that the suspect knew, according to MSP.
Officials did not disclose the victim’s condition after the shooting.
Murden has been charged with three counts of assault with intent to murder, three counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, eight counts of felony firearm and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a weapon at a vehicle and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
His bond was set at $300,000 cash or surety. MSP officials did not release any information about his next court date.
MSP officials have not said what led Murden to allegedly open fire on who he thought was a different person in the car.
