We’re Going To Have To Wait Until 2026 For Some Wildly Popular Netflix Shows, And I’m Bummed To Have To Wait To See If My Outer Banks Theory Pans Out

Netflix is gearing up for a massive year with Stranger Things, Wednesday, and Squid Games all returning to the streamer for the 2025 TV schedule. Unfortunately, not all Netflix subscribers will be celebrating the lineup today, as many wildly popular shows won’t be returning until 2026 at the absolute earliest.
The news of what’s not coming back this year isn’t too surprising since many of the shows premiered late in the 2024 season, leaving little time for filming to start for a 2025 premiere. However, it’s still disappointing news, especially for shows with more active fanbases like Outer Banks.
I Guess I’ll Have To Keep Thinking About My Outer Banks Theory
As an avid Outer Banks fan, I was definitely bummed to learn that Season 5 won’t be making the 2025 Netflix lineup. It was a long shot since the renewal for the fifth and final season came in early November, but I still had hope the team behind the show could work some Hollywood magic and give fans the happy ending we so desperately deserve after the tragic Season 4 ending.
I guess I’ll have to wait longer to see if my theory that the Pogues are going to have second thoughts about trying to avenge JJ pans out. It’s not all bad news, though. At the very least, I have more time to wrap my head around my theory that the writers are going to use JJ’s absence to make Kiara and Rafe endgame and become one of the best couples on the show — something that has been debated amongst fans since the show first hit Netflix back in 2020.
Other Netflix Shows Not Hitting The Schedule Until 2026
Outer Banks isn’t the only hit series missing from Netflix’s upcoming release schedule. Bridgerton fans are going to have to practice their patience, as Benedict’s chapter won’t be coming this year. Despite the popularity of the Regency-era show, showrunners are sticking firmly to the timeline they’ve established with the first three seasons, which had fans waiting about two years between Seasons 2 and 3.
It looks like fans of the anime-turned-live-action hit ONE PIECE will also be stuck waiting for the second installment of the fantasy adventure series. Season 1 dropped back in August 2023, but production didn’t begin on the second season until a year later, despite getting renewed in September 2023.
Ali Wong’s led Beef is another 2023 series that won’t be getting its second installment until 2026. Fans of the Emmy-winning limited or anthology series might be the most patient of all, considering the show didn’t officially get renewed for a second season until a year and a half after its initial release.
With Netflix raising the prices of subscriptions again, fans of these shows might consider canceling their subscription until 2026. However, that might not be the smartest of decisions, given how packed the 2025 lineup is. Plus, dates are always up in the air. There’s always a chance something slated for 2026 might wrap early and find itself on the back half of the 2025 lineup, so it’s best to keep those subscriptions up to date.
As a fan of Netflix’s hit series Outer Banks, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of the next season to see if my theories about the show will come true. However, it looks like we’ll have to wait until 2026 for some of the most popular Netflix shows to return. This news is definitely a bummer for fans like me who have been eagerly anticipating the next season of our favorite shows. It’s always tough to have to wait for new episodes, especially when you’re dying to see what happens next.
But as frustrating as it may be, I’m trying to stay positive and use this time to rewatch old episodes, catch up on other shows, and maybe even come up with some new theories about Outer Banks. Who knows, maybe by the time the next season finally premieres, I’ll have even more ideas about what’s in store for the characters.
In the meantime, I’ll just have to be patient and trust that the wait will be worth it. And hey, at least it gives me something to look forward to in the future. Who knows, maybe by 2026, my Outer Banks theory will have panned out after all.

A new online tool that tracks insurance payouts stemming from wildfires that devastated parts of Los Angeles County shows more than $4 billion has been paid so far, largely to replace lost personal items and cover living expenses.
California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara announced the new tracker Thursday.
Lara’s office said insurance companies have made the quick disbursements since the fires largely because of laws implemented after previous wildfires that help people find housing and replace personal items.
Monetary amounts shown on the tracker are expected to grow in the coming weeks and months as more people begin the claims process.
CoreLogic, a property data and analytics firm, estimates the Palisades and Eaton fires will result in $35 billion to $45 billion in insurance payouts to homeowners and businesses.
“With so much misinformation and speculation about our insurance market after the Southern California wildfires, it is critical for the public to track claims and monitor payouts. All eyes are on the insurance companies, and so are mine,” Lara said in a news release.
The numbers show that as of Jan. 27, 31,210 claims have been filed, with nearly half of those already partially paid under the laws requiring advance payments to speed recovery.
The bulk of unpaid claims are related to property damage and debris removal, Lara’s office said.
State law requires certain upfront payments by request. Insurance companies are required to provide funds for replacing personal property in an amount representing 30% of the policy’s dwelling limit, up to $250,000, without requiring the policyholder to file an itemized claim. They are also required to provide advance payment of no less than four months of living expenses.
Lara said he expects insurance companies “to continue providing advance payments that are essential for getting survivors back on their feet as quickly as possible.” After reports that some people were not getting upfront payments, Lara put out a bulletin reminding insurance companies of their obligations under the laws.
Michael Soller, a spokesperson for the insurance commissioner, said data were collected expressly for the purpose of promoting understanding among consumers that claims are being paid immediately and keeping insurance companies accountable.
“You’ve probably seen estimates out there. But this is the first real number of what’s been paid out to date to consumers,” Soller said.
The data displayed on the tracker were collected directly from insurance companies, including California’s Fair Plan, the state’s insurer of last resort, and represents most residential and commercial property insurers. The insurance commissioner’s office expects to update the data every few weeks.
In the aftermath of devastating wildfires, it can be difficult for survivors to keep track of their insurance payments and claims. However, a new online tracker is helping to ease some of that burden by providing real-time updates on the status of insurance payments to wildfire survivors. This online tracker allows individuals to input their insurance information and track the progress of their claims, payments, and any additional benefits they may be entitled to. By providing this level of transparency and accessibility, the online tracker helps to empower survivors and ensure that they are receiving the support they need during this difficult time.
Not only does the online tracker provide valuable information to survivors, but it also helps to hold insurance companies accountable and ensure that payments are being processed in a timely manner. This level of transparency and oversight is crucial in helping survivors rebuild their lives and move forward after a wildfire.
Overall, the online tracker is a valuable tool that is helping to support and empower wildfire survivors during their recovery process. By providing real-time updates on insurance payments and claims, this tool is helping to bring some much-needed peace of mind to those affected by wildfires.

Rudy Gobert shows what Timberwolves can be when he’s at his best
Rudy Gobert is keenly aware of the discourse around him at any given moment.
Some might say that is not the best way to go through life as an NBA player, especially for one of the most polarizing players in the league. Few elicit more ridicule from his critics, while his supporters see him as the sophisticated fan’s ideal of a winning player.
There is a way for the Minnesota Timberwolves to benefit from Gobert’s self-awareness. He is a prideful player who enjoys talking about the game and proselytizing his approach to a highlight-reel-loving public that often dismisses his contributions. While some players ignore the discussion of their games, Gobert can be fueled by it.
He heard all of the haters and doubters during his first season in Minnesota, an underwhelming season that ended with a first-round playoff exit. He heard the Timberwolves being laughed at for making “the worst trade in NBA history” when they sent a boatload of players and picks to the Utah Jazz for him. Gobert took all of that to heart and returned last season with one of the best seasons of his career, winning his fourth NBA Defensive Player of the Year award and reaching his first conference finals.
The barbarians are at his gates again this season, and Gobert hears them knocking. He is 32 and having one of the worst statistical seasons of his career, particularly when it comes to rebounding, his pride and joy. Gobert is averaging his fewest rebounds since his second season in the league. His defensive rebound percentage is the worst of his career. He had only six rebounds in a win over Dallas on Wednesday and grabbed eight total rebounds in two close losses to Memphis this month, a shockingly low number for a player of his stature. Gobert’s rim protection has not been as menacing and his offensive production, always a point of contention for his skeptics, had fallen off a cliff.
Thankfully for the Timberwolves, Gobert knows it. He is not in denial about his performance this season. His head is not in the sand.
“I’ve got to be better,” he said at practice on Friday. “Don’t overthink it. Just go get it. Sometimes I overthink, which takes me out of the flow. In a way, I get distracted a little bit, with people telling me the way I should do it and I know how to rebound. So, got to trust my instincts and go get it.”
His struggles have been at the heart of the Timberwolves’ inability to find a groove this season. The No. 1 overall defense of last season has slipped to seventh this season. The offense hasn’t improved enough to account for it. Suddenly, the three-year, $110 million contract extension he signed on opening night is starting to look a little worrisome.
With all of that in mind, Gobert walked into Target Center for a nationally televised game on Saturday that could have shifted the assailing of his game into overdrive. He was facing a real nemesis in Nikola Jokić, a player who has toyed with him in the past and one who is steamrolling the entire league for the surging Denver Nuggets, who had won eight of their previous nine games.
In previous seasons, the Wolves would put Karl-Anthony Towns on Jokić and have Gobert lurking off of Aaron Gordon or a Denver non-shooter to help, a strategy that worked wonders in their thrilling win over the Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs in May. But Towns is in New York, and Wolves coach Chris Finch decided to put Gobert on Jokić on Saturday, the reigning DPOY versus the reigning MVP.
Those expecting Gobert to be embarrassed were sorely disappointed. The Wolves big man offered his most forceful performance of the season, scoring 14 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and getting four steals in Minnesota’s 133-104 victory.
Gobert takes the responsibility of being a tone-setter for the team. When he plays poorly early, the Wolves look toothless. But when he brings it like he did in the first quarter on Saturday, there is a snarling animosity to their play that makes them look like an entirely different team.

Defensive plays like that were solid and helped get the Wolves off to a fast start. But where Gobert made his mark was on the offensive end, serving as a hub of the offense against Denver’s drop coverage and vulnerable rim defense. He had four assists in the first quarter, matching Jokić, and finished with five in the game, his second-highest total of the season.
“I love it,” Gobert said.” I think for me it’s just about being poised, just being patient, because I can pass. But if I go too fast, I miss those opportunities. I’m finding the balance between being aggressive and don’t try to overpass. Once I’m poised, I can do anything.”
THERE GOES SLIM pic.twitter.com/n4bBUi8ut8
— Minnesota Timberwolves (@Timberwolves) January 25, 2025
Gobert was 6 of 8 from the field, including a little floater and scoring through contact for an and-1. He played less than 30 minutes, but the Wolves won those minutes by 26 points. Jokić scored 13 of his 20 points in the first quarter, dished out 11 assists but also turned the ball over seven times and was a minus-24 in his 32 minutes, 24 seconds. It was only the ninth time all season that the Nuggets have lost Jokić’s minutes on the court. The previous low mark was a minus-15 in a loss to Cleveland in December.
“He knows how much we need him,” Finch said of Gobert. “We’ve talked a lot recently about that and getting back to that.”
Gobert’s success seemed to galvanize the rest of the team. Anthony Edwards shook off an illness that had him listed as questionable to score 34 points and dish out nine assists. Julius Randle had 21 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Jaden McDaniels scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, had four assists and played excellent defense on Michael Porter Jr. (11 points on 4-of-10 shooting).
The Wolves bench also came through in a big way, getting 10 points from Rob Dillingham in his first shift that helped blow the game open, and 13 points and four assists from Naz Reid.
Edwards hit three 3s, giving him 976 for his career. That moved him past Towns for first in franchise history.
3PT NUMBER 976 pic.twitter.com/BgniHRa3IC
— Minnesota Timberwolves (@Timberwolves) January 25, 2025
Edwards got off to a slow start in the game, but he kept finding Gobert for buckets, a duo that the Wolves have been unable to fully harness in their first two-plus seasons together. If the pairing can find any kind of rhythm, and if Gobert can reward Edwards’ faith and not fumble the ball away under the basket, that can go a long way toward boosting the Wolves offense. Minnesota has jumped to 14th in the league in offensive efficiency, but they are fourth with a rating of 121.1 points per 100 possessions over the last two weeks.
“Rudy understands when we give it to you, you have to do the right thing with it every time,” point guard Mike Conley said. “It’s a hard thing, especially for Ant sometimes, to want to throw that pass if we’re not getting something out of it. For Rudy it’s about making the right reads early and not trying to do too much. When we can make the right reads, we’re really tough.”
The locker room was buzzing after the game when talk turned to Edwards finding Gobert under the basket with a slick jump pass late in the first quarter.

The Wolves shot 55.8 percent for the game, 46.7 percent from 3 and scored 72 points in the paint, 16 in transition and scored 37 points off of 20 turnovers from Denver.
As Gobert had more and more success on offense, he started to hear the confidence his teammates derived from it. He even hit a push shot in the second half, reminiscent of his end-of-the-clock jumper in Game 7 in Denver.
Rudy Gobert PnR floater, assisted by Anthony Edwards pic.twitter.com/1r1qSRe8cN
— Timberwolves Clips (@WolvesClips) January 25, 2025
“Today I got to realize how important it is for my teammates’ confidence,” Gobert said. “The comments that they made, I realized that when I’m decisive and confident, they have more confidence in finding me in situations. For me, it’s about being decisive, being aggressive. These shots came naturally because I work on it.”
Gobert was so effective and agile on offense in this game that he cannot be expected to do the same going forward. If he can replicate it, the Wolves would love it. But they can’t bank on such efficient, mistake-free play from him on that end.
What should be sustainable is the rebounding. Gobert is one of the best board men of his generation, but he said he too often is lured into a hand-fighting battle as he attempts to get in position. The play of the game came with 4:37 to play in the third quarter. Gobert grabbed two offensive rebounds, and he shoveled the ball to Edwards for a 3 that gave the Wolves a 17-point lead.
“We know what Rudy is deep down and what kind of player he is for our team and how vital he is for our success,” Conley said. “We’re going to do everything in our power to make the game easier for him to get the most out of him on both ends of the floor.”
(Photo of Russell Westbrook, Rudy Gobert and Christian Braun: Matt Krohn / Getty Images)
Rudy Gobert, the towering center for the Minnesota Timberwolves, put on a show in their recent game, showcasing just how dominant he can be when he’s at his best.Gobert’s impact on both ends of the court was evident as he controlled the paint with his shot-blocking ability and altered shots at the rim. His presence in the paint also forced opponents to alter their offensive game plan, leading to missed shots and turnovers.
Offensively, Gobert was a force to be reckoned with, finishing strong at the rim and cleaning up the glass with his rebounding prowess. His ability to create second-chance opportunities for his team was crucial in securing the win.
Overall, Gobert’s performance was a reminder of the potential and talent that the Timberwolves possess when he is playing at his best. If he can continue to play at this level consistently, the Timberwolves have a bright future ahead.

(LEX 18) — Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows more parents are choosing to not vaccinate their children against certain diseases, like measles, polio, and whooping cough.
Fewer kindergarteners received the MMR (Measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine last year than before the pandemic. The CDC cites falling rates in both Kentucky and nationwide.
During the 2023-24 school year, just 90% of Kentucky kindergartners received the MMR vaccine, down from over 93% during the 2019-20 school year.
Nationwide, the number is down to 92.7%.
Both are below the CDC’s target of 95% vaccination rate for a healthy community immunization level.
Similar trends have continued for DTaP (diptheria, tetanus and pertussis) and polio vaccines since the pandemic.
It comes as the nation saw 284 cases of measles last year, and over 32,000 cases or whooping cough (pertussis).
This week, we put an all-call out to parents on Facebook, asking them if they are vaccinating their children or not, and why.
The answers were mixed.
“Parents have the right to choose what is best for their children,” one parent wrote.
“I trust science,” wrote another.
Just Wednesday, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary nominee, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., faced tough questions about his reputation as a vaccine skeptic during a confirmation hearing.
“I support the measles vaccine. I support the polio vaccine. I will do nothing as HHS secretary that makes it difficult or discourages people from taking it,” Kennedy said.
In Kentucky, MMR, Polio and DTaP are among vaccines required for children in school, but families can request religious or medical exemptions.
According to recent data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), vaccination rates for measles and polio among children in Kentucky are on the decline. This concerning trend is putting the health and safety of our children at risk.Measles and polio are highly contagious diseases that can have serious consequences, including paralysis and even death. Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent the spread of these diseases and protect our children from harm.
It is crucial that parents and caregivers prioritize their children’s health by ensuring they are up to date on their vaccinations. By staying informed and taking action to vaccinate our children, we can help prevent the spread of these dangerous diseases and keep our communities safe.
Let’s work together to reverse this alarming trend and protect the health and well-being of our children. Vaccination saves lives – let’s make sure our kids are protected.

Bronny James shows dad LeBron, Lakers he has plenty to learn in return from G League
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Bronny James got the surprise call to play in the first quarter for the Lakers and finished with the first serious playing time of his NBA career.
It wasn’t great.
Bronny took off on a fast break and his shot was rejected by Adam Bona.
He got torched by 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey any time they were remotely matched up.
His box score, well, it wasn’t any better: Bronny was scoreless for the Lakers in their 118-104 loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday night. He missed three 3-pointers, all five shots overall and had three turnovers.
Bronny played 15 minutes just four days after he dropped a career-high 31 points for the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
“Maybe put him in a tough spot, flying out yesterday, nationally televised game and all that stuff,” Lakers coach JJ Redick said. “He didn’t play well. But he’s been playing great in the stay-ready games and he’s been playing great in the G. I have confidence but obviously didn’t provide that at a high level.”
Dad knows Bronny still has plenty to learn in the NBA.
“He was able to get behind the defense on one and find Jaxson (Hayes) for a dunk. That was good,” LeBron James said. “Obviously missed his shots. It’s just about him just getting more and more comfortable. It’s his first extensive minutes with us. We had that first game where it was just a moment, and it was a great moment, but tonight was his first opportunity to be with the big guys, the big club. He’s going to continue to use that to get better and better, just like the first time he played with the G League.”
LeBron and Bronny made NBA history on Oct. 22 when they became the first father and son to play together during the Lakers’ season-opening win over Minnesota. Bronny then scored his first NBA basket for the Lakers in Cleveland on Oct. 30 at the arena where he watched his father as a child.
Bronny had not played more than 6 minutes in any of his first 12 games and had scored four points all season.
“Just bringing energy. My coaches are telling me to come in and play smart, play my game and play for my teammates,” he said. “Just trying to do the right thing as a rookie is my main priority.”
LeBron and the Lakers have already said Bronny will spend ample time this season with their G League affiliate as he works on his game.
“Just reps is the biggest thing for me,” Bronny said.
LeBron had 31 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, though father and son did share one other distinction against the 76ers: Bona blocked them both.
The Lakers had been 16-2 this season against teams with losing records and seemed poised to build on the win column playing a 76ers team without injured stars Joel Embiid and Paul George. Maxey carried the scoring load with 43 points and the Lakers were hampered when Anthony Davis left in the first half with an abdominal muscle strain.
Davis walked to the locker room with his right hand over his stomach when he left with 2:10 to go in the first quarter. Davis had four points in 10 minutes before he was hurt. He had 42 points and 23 rebounds a night earlier in a victory at Charlotte.
“I mean, when our best player goes out, it’s always challenging,” James said. “When AD goes down, when any one of our guys go down throughout the course of the game, it’s just tough.”
Without Davis, it was a rough one for the Lakers, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
“Three in four nights, back-to-back, I’m not sure where our collective brains were at,” Redick said.

Jennifer Lawrence shows off blossoming baby bump during romantic outing with husband Cooke Maroney
Jennifer Lawrence is definitely radiating with a pregnancy glow as the actress enjoyed a romantic stroll with her husband Cooke Maroney in New York City on Tuesday.
When it comes to chic maternity-wear, the 34-year-old has become somewhat of a connoisseur. Jennifer donned a bump-skimming navy plaid shirt with a pair of ivory cashmere pants. The mom-to-be layered up for the chilly weather with a stylish brown trench coat and an ivory scarf adorned with purple floral embroidery.
The Hunger Games star opted for casual comfort in a pair of coveted New Balance sneakers. The white shoes, which are a collaboration with the fashion label Aime Leon Dore, feature green and yellow bold accents.
Jennifer went makeup-free for the outing as she completed her look with a pair of black cat-eye sunglasses. The star’s luscious blond locks were swept back into an effortless braid while her bangs framed her face.
Meanwhile, Cooke opted for an equally laid back ensemble as he donned a longline navy windbreaker and a pair of black velour sweat pants. The art dealer teamed his simple look with a pair of black and white Vans sneakers.
The couple, who tied the knot at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island back in 2019, are expecting their second child together. The pair already share a two-year-old son named Cy, who is kept out of the spotlight.
The sweet news was confirmed via Jennifer’s rep to Vogue back in October after the Oscar-winning actress was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with a visible baby bump.
The star previously opened up to Interview Magazine about the invasion of privacy she experienced from paparazzi during her pregnancy. She said: “I was so nervous when I was pregnant. I was getting paparazzi’d, and I was just like, “How the [expletive] am I not going to lose it on these guys when they’re taking a picture of my baby?.”
She added: “Then once he was here, I realized that my energy is more important to him than anything else. So if he feels that I’m anxious before I leave the house, or I’m angry when we’re outside, that’s going to impact him.
“So it’s actually done the opposite, where I’ve gotten a little bit more zen and a little bit more relaxed with getting photographed, because I don’t have a choice.”
During an interview with Vogue in 2022, Jennifer shared her delight of becoming a mother for the first time. “I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing,” she said.
Jennifer revealed that the birth of her son “felt like my whole life had started over”.
Jennifer Lawrence, the beloved actress known for her roles in films such as “The Hunger Games” and “Silver Linings Playbook,” was recently spotted showcasing her blossoming baby bump during a romantic outing with her husband Cooke Maroney. The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, looked happy and in love as they enjoyed a leisurely stroll together. Lawrence, glowing with pregnancy radiance, proudly flaunted her growing belly in a stylish maternity outfit.
Fans couldn’t help but gush over the adorable couple, with many taking to social media to express their excitement for the soon-to-be parents. It’s clear that Jennifer and Cooke are over the moon about their impending arrival, and their joy is truly infectious.
Congratulations to the happy couple on this exciting new chapter in their lives! We can’t wait to see the beautiful baby that will undoubtedly be welcomed into their loving arms.

Sophie Turner Shows Off Her Toned Tummy in Skimpy Bikini During ‘Bestie’ Getaway: Photos
Sophie Turner flaunted her toned abs in a revealing bikini during a beach getaway with her gal pals. MEGA Sophie Turner is living her best life!
The Game of Thrones star gave fans a peek into her dreamy Maldives getaway, sharing a series of sun-soaked snaps on Instagram.
One photo showed the mom-of-two standing on pristine white sand in a lavender bikini, arms raised, book in hand, showing off her toned abs against a backdrop of crystal-clear water.
Sophie Turner posted photos of her Maldives trip. @sophiet/Instagram Another shot captured her friends playfully wrestling in the sand, while Turner was seen cruising along a wooden deck on a bike. She also posted a few action shots, including one of her rocking snorkeling gear on a boat with her crew.
Turner also posed in a mini red dress under a khaki apron while sipping wine and cooking up a storm. She wrapped up the slideshow with a relaxed beachside moment, stretching out her legs and soaking up the sun.
“Who knew that all it takes to be happy is tea tasting, perfume making, breathwork, sound therapy, spotting dolphins, watsu, cooking classes, turtle snorkeling, massages and getting burnt on the beach with your besties in the Maldives at @joalibeing #whoknew #JoyOfWeightlessness,” she wrote in the caption.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star enjoyed ‘getting burnt on the beach’ with her ‘besties.’ @sophiet/Instagram While Turner was clearly enjoying her downtime, not everyone in the comments section was thrilled.
One critic asked, “Is she ever with her kids? Wow.”
“Your kids are gonna read this post in the future,” another chimed in.
“It doesn’t even seem like you’re a mom . Who’s taking your kids to school while you’re vacationing and making perfume? Or tucking them in at night? The nanny? Some people shouldn’t have kids,” a third added. “And anybody that wants to come at me saying, ‘diD yOu cOmMent tHat oN tHe daDs pAge,’ save it. Joe Jonas probably sucks as a parent even worse, and I will happily comment that on his page too.”
“Your children??” another simply wrote.
Fans pressed Sophie Turner on why she hasn’t been sharing any photos of her kids on social media. @sophiet/Instagram But not everyone was on board with the parent-shaming.
“Because she doesn’t post them? Are you asking the dad that, or are only women supposed to not have a life outside their kids?” one fan clapped back.
“Why do you even care tho! There’s too many creeps/pedos on the internet,” another pointed out.
“Ask Joe if he is with his kids,” one user suggested, while another wrote, “She doesn’t post her kids. She never has. Quit assuming things about her based on a few pictures.”
The post comes four months after Turner’s divorce from Jonas was finalized in September 2024, nearly a year after he filed for dissolution of marriage , citing an “irretrievably broken” relationship.
Since her divorce, the Dark Phoenix star has faced criticism for being painted as a party girl and an absent mom — but she insisted that’s not the case.
“I think if articles like that had come out 10 years ago, there would have been a very different response,” she told Harper’s Bazaar , while thanking fans for having her back. “But it was really refreshing to see people not falling for a very misogynistic approach to what was going on in my life.”
The mom-of-two has faced harsh parent-shaming, particularly following her divorce from Joe Jonas. MEGA “But even if I was going out and whatnot , my kids weren’t with me, they were with their dad,” she continued. “And even if they had been with me, you’re allowed a Saturday night, especially as a mother. I mean, my god, there’s no one on the planet that deserves a glass of wine at the end of the day more than a mother!”
Despite ongoing scrutiny, Turner and Jonas remain focused on their daughters , Willa and Delphine .
“After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in l oving homes in both the U.S . and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents,” the former couple said in a joint statement in 2023 after settling their custody battle.
In October 2024, just one month after finalizing the divorce, the Survive alum shared how she and Jonas are managing their new family dynamic.
“We’re co-parenting, and I think we’re doing pretty great at co-parenting together,” she said. “We’ve been through a lot this year, and it takes time to repair what’s happened, but I’ll do anything to make sure my kids feel like they have a mum and dad that can always be there for them, together or apart.”
Sophie Turner, best known for her role as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, recently took to Instagram to share some stunning photos from her “bestie” getaway.
