Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague.
The 21-year-old will fly into London on Saturday and have a medical on Saturday evening.
Spurs will pay £12.5m for Kinsky, who is a Czech Republic U21 international.
Spurs have serious issues in goal with first-choice Guglielmo Vicario out injured and Fraser Forster among those who have caught a sickness bug in the last week.
Kinsky has kept 12 clean sheets in the Czech First League across 19 league appearances for table-topping Slavia Prague this season.
What are Spurs’ plans for the January transfer window?
Tottenham are looking to strengthen their squad this January, looking at a variety of positions given injuries to key players and the decline of form as a result.
Although he has done well under the circumstances, playing Archie Gray at centre-back has not been ideal, so this is one area the club are looking to add depth, as well as in the forward positions and central midfield.
They wanted Conor Gallagher, or someone like him, in the summer, while Timo Werner was brought in on a loan deal in the winger positions rather than permanently, and the injuries to Richarlison and Wilson Odobert have left them short of options.
Spurs want those players back and competing for a place, and in particular Richarlison, who has no desire to go anywhere in January himself, Sky Sports News understands.
South Korean winger Min-Hyeok Yang, 18, officially joins the club on January 1 following the end of his time with Gangwon FC. He has already arrived in England and begun to settle into his new surroundings, but he is a development player for the future.
Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly reached an agreement with Slavia Prague for the transfer of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky. The deal is said to be worth £12.5 million, with the Czech shot-stopper set to make the move to the Premier League club in the upcoming transfer window.
Kinsky, 25, has been a standout performer for Slavia Prague in recent seasons, earning rave reviews for his shot-stopping abilities and commanding presence in goal. Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo is believed to be a big admirer of the player and sees him as the perfect addition to his squad.
The transfer is expected to be finalized in the coming days, with Kinsky set to undergo a medical and agree personal terms with Tottenham. The move will provide much-needed competition for current Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and could potentially see Kinsky become the club’s long-term number one.
Fans of Tottenham Hotspur will be eagerly anticipating the arrival of Kinsky, hoping that he can help the team push for a top-four finish in the Premier League next season. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting transfer development.
