Season 50 of “Saturday Night Live” premiered on September 28, 2024, and is set to conclude on May 17, 2025. So, who will be hosting the momentous season’s remaining episodes?
“SNL” announced on Friday, Jan. 10, that Dave Chappelle and Timothée Chalamet would lead the next two shows. Chappelle hosted on Saturday, Jan. 18, while rapper GloRilla served as musical guest. Chalamet is slated to serve as both host and musical guest during the Saturday, Jan. 25, episode of “SNL.”
The NBC sketch comedy series has not yet announced the next host after Chalamet. That is because, there won’t be a new “SNL” episode on Saturday, Feb. 1, or Saturday, Feb. 8, per NBC New York.
The outlet reported that “SNL” will return with a new episode on Saturday, Feb. 15, one day before the three-hour “Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special” is set to air.

“SNL” will likely announce the host for the Feb. 15 episode the week of Monday, Feb. 3. As NBC is planning for a celebratory weekend ahead of the Sunday, Feb. 16, anniversary special, it’s likely that the host of the Feb. 15 show will be either a legendary “SNL” alum or a fan-favorite host who has helmed the show multiple times.
The 50th anniversary special will feature current and former “SNL” cast members as well as notable hosts and musical acts from throughout the show’s history.
Drew Barrymore confirmed her involvement during a Thursday, Jan. 23, interview with Entertainment Weekly. The actress and talk show host is a member of SNL’s elite Five-Timers club and still holds the record for the youngest host. She was just 7 when she first appeared on the show in 1982.
“I don’t know to what extent, but I will be there,” Barrymore told EW of the anniversary special. “I’ve hosted six times, so if it’s just to be there, that’s enough for me. And if anybody needs me, you can put me in, coach! I don’t know what will happen, but I’ll be there.”
Chalamet’s “Saturday Night Live” appearance airs on NBC on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 11:30 p.m. EST and can be streamed on Peacock.
The “Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special” airs on NBC on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 8 p.m. EST and can be streamed on Peacock.
