  • Shedeur Sanders, no stranger to spotlight, is ready for his NFL moment: ‘I’m the most guaranteed risk you can take’

FRISCO, Texas — Shedeur Sanders’ impact on the East-West Shrine Bowl was felt, even though the University of Colorado quarterback did not practice or take part in anything outside of meetings with quarterback-needy teams at the top of the 2025 NFL Draft.

There was an unusual flood of media to the Shrine Bowl this year, cementing Sanders’ status as one of the best and more fascinating players, a likely top-five pick in this year’s draft class. Long gone are the days of this game being filled with players who would just hope to be considered for a roster spot in the NFL — now there are legitimate prospects, Sanders aside, who want to come and showcase their talents on the field.

While Sanders feels like he has taken a leap on the field recently, there’s also the looming, enormous fact that he has been in the spotlight for a long time largely because of his family. Stepping into the life of a highly drafted quarterback is different from where he’s been, but the idea of fame being new doesn’t apply here. Being the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders has given him a clear answer on how he feels the pressures of being an NFL quarterback.

“I don’t,” Sanders said bluntly to Yahoo Sports. “That’s why the pressure doesn’t faze me. That’s why no situation would ever faze me. That’s why I know I’m the most guaranteed risk you can take.”

Sanders’ background is well-known. He’s the third of Deion Sanders’ sons to play high-level Division I football. Shedeur’s football journey took him from Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas, then Jackson State University before ending up at the University of Colorado. His father has been there for every step of his football journey as either a head coach or offensive coordinator, but the NFL will be a different challenge. With the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, instead of Deion Sanders, Shedeur will be taking the first step of his football journey on his own.

That didn’t seem to bother Shedeur when asked about it, which makes sense. He should be confident in his abilities as a Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and Johnny Unitas Award winner. His father may have played a big role in his life, but ultimately, they’ve seen this through together and have reached the point where Shedeur can fulfill a lifelong dream of being an NFL player.

“I didn’t know that your parents being involved and wanting the best for you was a problem,” Sanders said to reporters at the Shrine Bowl. “The fact he was able to help me become the best quarterback in the country — he’s supposed to do that.”

And Sanders did, unequivocally, become one of the best quarterbacks in college football. At Jackson State, he started 26 games and threw for 6,963 yards, 70 touchdowns, 14 interceptions and had a 23-3 record — and he won the Jerry Rice Award in 2021 as the best player in FCS. At Colorado, the Buffaloes went 13-11 over his two seasons there, but he threw for 7,364 yards, 64 touchdowns and 13 interceptions and was part of turning the program as a whole in the right direction.

The road to get to this point was incredibly manicured, but it’s led him here nonetheless.

As an NFL Draft prospect, Sanders has fairly standard skills for a starting quarterback. He’s hovering around 6-foot-2, has good accuracy and the baseline arm strength needed to be considered a player teams would draft high. There are really only two players who are being considered potential franchise QB talents at the top of the draft this year: Sanders and former Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

“We’re friends, we’re friends,” Sanders said with a smile. “A lot of people in the media try to pit us against each other, but we’re family and friends first and foremost.”

Where those two players separate themselves in the eyes of teams will be one of the more interesting stories in the lead-up to the draft. While Ward can be a bit of a loose cannon on the field with some impressive highs physically, Sanders’ game isn’t quite as explosive, which has allowed him to develop the skills needed to be a top of the line quarterback prospect. Sanders also had the benefit of being coached by former NFL head coach and offensive play-caller Pat Shurmur, who is Colorado’s offensive coordinator.

Sanders gave Shurmur credit for where his game is right now in terms of his understanding of football.

“Coach Shurmur, he was the best thing that could’ve happened to the end of my college career,” Sanders told Yahoo Sports. “The way he went about his business is exactly how it is here, so he’s definitely true to who he is and he’s true to the process and what this league is made of. I’m just thankful for him.”

Even though Shurmur may not have had the most decorated NFL career, his experience is something a lot of college players don’t have access to in college. In terms of specific things that he learned with Shurmur, Sanders said that being able to handle pass protections better compared to earlier in his career has been a big win over the past season.

“He helped me dive into the protections and just cleaning up a lot of stuff with my game,” Sanders said. “That’s why I’m thankful I was able to end my college career with him.”

Sanders clearly has all the confidence in the world needed to take on this new challenge that he’s been training for his whole life for. Now it’s time to execute.

“It’s year by year,” Sanders said. “God will make sure I’m prepared each and every year, each and every year preparing for the next steps for the next things that are coming in life. Everything has happened for a reason and everything has happened for a purpose and I was just thankful that I was able to go through this process with my dad and with my family.”

Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, has been in the spotlight for most of his life. From his days as a highly recruited high school quarterback to his time at Jackson State University, where he followed in his father’s footsteps as a star player, Shedeur has always been comfortable under the bright lights.

Now, as he prepares for the next chapter in his football career, Shedeur is ready to make his mark on the NFL. In a recent interview, he expressed his confidence in his abilities and his readiness to take on the challenge of playing at the highest level.

“I’m the most guaranteed risk you can take,” Shedeur said. “I know what I bring to the table, and I’m ready to show the world what I can do on the biggest stage.”

With his combination of talent, work ethic, and pedigree, Shedeur is sure to turn heads in the NFL. As he continues to train and prepare for the upcoming draft, all eyes will be on this young star as he looks to make his mark on the league. Stay tuned for Shedeur Sanders’ NFL moment – it’s sure to be one for the ages.

  • ‘Stranger Things’ Creators on Super-Sized Season 5

The Stranger Things team is once again teasing a colossal final season.

At Netflix‘s Next on Netflix press event, creators the Duffer Brothers discussed the eagerly anticipated fifth season, which is debuting later this year and marks the first new episodes of the coming-of-age sci-fi hit in three years.

“We spent a full year filming this season,” Ross Duffer said. “By the end, we’d captured over 650 hours of footage. So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty insane.”

Matt Duffer added, “At the same time, we think it’s our most personal story. It was super intense and emotional to film — for us and for our actors. We’ve been making this show together for almost 10 years. There was a lot of crying. There was so much crying. The show means so much to all of us, and everyone put their hearts and souls into it. And we hope — and believe — that passion will translate to the screen.”

The Duffers also teased upcoming projects in the Stranger Things universe, not all of which have been announced.

“There are more Stranger Things stories to tell and in the works,” Matt said. “It’s a bit early at this point to talk about them, but we’re deeply involved in every one — it’s very important to us that anything with the Stranger Things name on it is of the highest quality and not repetitive — that it has a reason to exist and always blazes its own path. And also, it needs to basically just be … awesome. Or we need to think it’s awesome. And there are a lot of what we think are awesome things in the pipeline.”

One project — the West End play Stranger Things: The First Shadow — is a prequel that’s currently being staged.

The Duffers also talked about their other upcoming Netflix shows, The Boroughs and Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, which the duo are executive producing via their company Upside Down Pictures.

“Both shows encompass what we feel is at the core of Stranger Things and that is they’re stories about ordinary people who encounter the extraordinary,” Ross said. “They play in a genre sandbox, but they’re always grounded in a reality that audiences can relate to … Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, a series that follows a bride and groom in a chaotic, anxiety-filled week leading up to their wedding. It dives into the horror and dread that often comes with making a lifelong commitment to someone — something that anyone who’s ever been in a relationship can definitely relate to. We don’t want to say too much more about the story yet — but the title is accurate. Bad things do happen.”

“Of the two projects, The Boroughs probably shares the most DNA with Stranger Things because it’s about a group of misfits who fight an otherworldly evil,” added Matt. “Only unlike Stranger Things, it’s set in a retirement community, so that’s something different. This time our misfits are a little on the older side. They ride golf carts, not bikes. It stars Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, and a host of other screen icons who we’re obsessed with. We’ve seen the first three episodes, and we’re really pumped about it. It’s fun, scary, and touching too, and we can’t wait for you to see it.”

While there is no date yet announced for Stranger Things season five, the last two seasons were released during the summer, so that seems like a good bet. Season four was also split into two halves which, again, seems likely as Netflix will want to maximize the show’s rollout.

For more, here is everything we know about Stranger Things‘ final season.

The Duffer Brothers, creators of the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things,” have teased fans with the possibility of a super-sized Season 5. In a recent interview, the duo hinted that they are considering expanding the upcoming season to include more episodes than usual.

Fans of the show have been eagerly awaiting the return of the Upside Down and all their favorite characters, and the news of a potentially longer season has only added to the excitement. With the show’s popularity continuing to grow, it’s no surprise that the creators are looking to give fans even more to sink their teeth into.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, the idea of a super-sized Season 5 has certainly piqued the interest of fans. Will we see more twists, more monsters, and more mysteries to unravel? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – the Duffer Brothers are determined to keep us on the edge of our seats for as long as possible. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming season of “Stranger Things!”

  • ‘Stranger Things 5’ will be like ‘8 blockbuster movies,’ Duffers tease franchise future

The future of Stranger Things seems bright, despite the current state of Hawkins, Ind.

Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer appeared on stage in Los Angeles for a globally live-streamed Netflix preview event of the streamer’s 2025 film and TV slates. The duo revealed a new behind-the-scenes teaser for Stranger Things 5 in the room, while confirming multiple other offshoots are in development for the franchise. Plus, they showed guests the first look at two of their upcoming non-Stranger Things Netflix series.

“We spent a full year filming this season,” Ross told the gathered crowd of Stranger Things 5. “By the end, we had captured over 650 hours of footage. So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty, pretty insane.”

“At the same [time], we think it’s — or hope it’s — our most personal story,” Matt added. “It was super intense and emotional to film — for us and for our actors we’ve been with for so long. And we’ve been making it together for almost 10 years now. There was a lot of crying. There was so much crying. The show means so much to all of us, and everyone put their hearts and souls into it. And we hope — and believe — that passion is going to translate to the screen.”

Stranger Things 5 will premiere this year and kick off the story with a one-year time jump from the season 4 finale. Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlinGaten Matarazzo, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Joe KeeryMaya Hawke, Brett Gilman, Priah Ferguson, Jamie Campbell Bower, Cara Buono, and Amybeth McNulty all return to their roles. Terminator legend Linda Hamilton joins Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux in new roles.

“Season 5 will be big and epic. There’s no time for a ramp-up. It’s going to be intense from beginning to end,” Matt said.

“It’s also going to feel familiar,” Ross added. “This season is the biggest it’s ever been in scale, but everyone’s back together in Hawkins, interacting the same way they were in season 1.”

Matt acknowledged that, while it may be the end of the story for these core characters, “it’s not goodbye for Stranger Things.” He confirmed, “There are many more stories to tell.” He pointed to Stranger Things: The First Shadow, the stage play and prequel story that is currently showcasing in London’s West End. The production makes its stateside debut this March on Broadway.

Beyond that, “There are more Stranger Things stories to tell and in the works,” Matt confirmed. “It’s a bit early at this point to talk about them, but we’re deeply involved in every one. It’s very important to us that anything with the Stranger Things name on it is of the highest quality and not repetitive, that it has a reason to exist and always blazes its own path. In any case, the Duffers are sticking around Netflix for the foreseeable future. Through their production company, Upside Down Pictures, Matt and Ross are involved in two new series that are coming in 2026: The Boroughs and Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.

The former “probably shares the most DNA with Stranger Things,” according to Matt, “because it’s about a group of misfits who fight an otherworldly evil.” The setting, however, is a retirement community. Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, and “a host of other screen icons” star.

Meanwhile, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, written by Haley Z. Boston and directed by Baby Reindeer‘s Weronika Tofilska, “follows a bride and groom in a chaotic, anxiety-filled week leading up to their wedding,” Ross explained. “It dives into the horror and dread that often comes with making a lifelong commitment to someone — something that anyone who’s ever been in a relationship can definitely relate to. We don’t want to say too much more about the story yet, but the title is accurate. Bad things do happen.”

Matt said both of these new shows “encompass what we feel is at the core of Stranger Things, and that is they’re stories about ordinary people who encounter the extraordinary.”

The Duffer Brothers, creators of the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things,” have teased that the upcoming fifth season will be like “8 blockbuster movies” packed into one. Fans of the show can expect even more thrills, chills, and nostalgia as the gang from Hawkins continues to battle supernatural forces.

In a recent interview, the Duffers hinted at the future of the “Stranger Things” franchise, suggesting that there is still plenty of story left to tell beyond season 5. With the success of the show and the dedicated fan base, it’s no surprise that they are considering expanding the universe even further.

While details about the plot of season 5 are still under wraps, one thing is for sure – fans can expect more of the same heart-pounding action and 80s references that have made “Stranger Things” a pop culture phenomenon.

  • ‘Stranger Things’ creators tease new supernatural show set in a retirement community: ‘They ride golf carts, not bikes’

    CNN
     —

While everyone is hanging at the edge of their seats for more info on the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things,” the brothers behind the hit show are already cooking up their next projects.

At a Netflix presentation of the streaming giant’s 2025 slate for press on Wednesday, “Stranger Things” creators Ross and Matt Duffer revealed that in 2026 they will be executive producing two new shows, titled “The Boroughs” and “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen,” both of which “encompass what we feel is at the core of ‘Stranger Things,’” according to Ross Duffer – “they’re stories about ordinary people who encounter the extraordinary.”

Matt Duffer added that “The Boroughs” “probably shares the most DNA with ‘Stranger Things’ because it’s about a group of misfits who fight an otherworldly evil.”

“Only unlike ‘Stranger Things,’ it’s set in a retirement community, so that’s something different,” he quipped. “This time our misfits are a little on the older side. They ride golf carts, not bikes,” he said, in reference to the young characters in “Stranger Things” who ride their bicycles around Hawkins, Indiana.

Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler and Noah Schnapp as Will Byers in Season 4 of

Aside from the brief description, the pair were able to share some key cast members for “The Boroughs,” including Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard and Bill Pullman.

As for “Stranger Things,” the Duffers shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the concluding season and revealed that they’d spent an entire year filming it, capturing over 650 hours of footage.

“It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty insane,” Ross Duffer said, while his brother highlighted that it “was super intense and emotional to film – for us and for our actors. We’ve been making this show together for almost ten years. There was a lot of crying. There was SO much crying.”

For context, “Stranger Things” first premiered on Netflix back in 2016, when star Millie Bobbie Brown was 11 (and coincidentally began playing a character named Eleven). Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria pointed this out at the presentation, going on to say that she was recently in attendance at Brown’s wedding.

If that weren’t enough, the Duffers also promised that Season 5 of “Stranger Things” wouldn’t mark the end of the story of the Upside Down.

“There are more ‘Stranger Things’ stories to tell and in the works. It’s a bit early at this point to talk about them, but we’re deeply involved in every one,” Matt Duffer teased.

Also in the mix at the Netflix presentation was more information on another sinister and escapist hit show – namely “Squid Game,” which debuted its second season last month.

Bajaria unveiled the news that the third and final season of the South Korean thriller series will hit the streamer on June 27.

The creators of the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things” are back with a new supernatural show set in a retirement community, and they are teasing fans with some intriguing details.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Duffer Brothers revealed that their new show will feature elderly residents who uncover mysterious and otherworldly happenings in their community. “They ride golf carts, not bikes,” Matt Duffer joked.

The show, which has not yet been officially titled, will explore themes of aging, friendship, and the supernatural, much like “Stranger Things.” However, the Duffer Brothers promise that this new series will have a unique and fresh take on the genre.

“We wanted to explore a different perspective on the supernatural, one that is often overlooked in popular culture,” Ross Duffer explained. “The residents of this retirement community may be older, but they are still capable of amazing feats and adventures.”

While details about the show are still scarce, fans can expect a blend of comedy, drama, and of course, plenty of supernatural elements. The Duffer Brothers are known for their ability to create compelling characters and intricate storylines, so this new project is sure to be a must-watch for fans of the supernatural genre.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new show from the creators of “Stranger Things.” Who knows, maybe these elderly residents will prove that age is just a number when it comes to fighting off supernatural forces.

  • ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Is the ‘Biggest It’s Ever Been’, Duffer Brothers Tease

Stranger Things is going out with a bang.

The fifth and final season of the beloved Netflix series will premiere later this year on the streamer, and the Duffer Brothers promise that they did not hold back for this final go-around.

Co-creator Matt Duffer described the final season as “big and epic” in a press release. “There’s no time for a ramp-up. It’s going to be intense from beginning to end.”

“It’s also going to feel familiar,” his brother, Ross Duffer, said. “This season is the biggest it’s ever been in scale, but everyone’s back together in Hawkins, interacting the same way they were in Season 1.”

Fans also got their first sense of what’s to come in the final season, as Netflix shared a missing person poster for Millie Bobby Brown‘s character Jane Hopper, also known as Eleven, on Instagram.

Per the poster, she’s been missing since June 1986, and season 5 takes place in the fall of 1987, per a teaser, which means it’s been more than a year since she was seen when the show picks up.

As the hit series — which stars Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Winona Ryder and more — comes to an end, Matt and Ross will have two new exciting projects for the streamer in 2026: The Boroughs and Something Very Bad is Going to Happen.

“We’re gonna be hanging around at Netflix, which has been our home for the past 10 years,” Ross said. “We couldn’t ask for better partners. If you want to tell original stories like we do, this is really the place to be.”

Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder and Noah Schnapp are pictured on the set of Stranger Things.

The creators’ tease comes more than a month after the cast wrapped filming the series, which left Wolfhard and his castmates “in shock.”

We shot it for a year and I’ll miss all of my friends and our characters terribly,” the 22-year-old, who plays Mike Wheeler, wrote on Instagram along with a photo from season 1 of the cast 10 years younger.

“When I think of the show, I picture this first photo. A bunch of goofy young people making something they think is cool but really have no clue what’s to come. I feel like we’re still those people and I’m lucky to still stand beside them today.”

Maya Hawke, Joey Keery, Finn Wolfhard and Charlie Heaton are pictured on the set of Stranger Things.

Noah Schnapp also posted a lengthy farewell to the show, as he said he was “feeling very emotional” after he’d “wrapped my final scene as Will Byers.”

Stranger Things was more than a job; it was a lifelong dream. A dream made reality thanks to the Duffers. Thank you for taking a chance on me when I was just a 10-year-old kid and entrusting me with something so important to you both,” he continued.

“Together, this cast + crew has built something so very special, and I couldn’t be any more excited for the world to see the final chapter. Stranger Things is a never-ending story for me – it’s in my heart forever..”

  • Stranger Things Fans Are Predicting Season 5 Character Deaths

Stranger Things Season 5 will be the final season of the mega-hit Netflix series. Before the final season debuts this year, Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers have been letting fans know that all bets are off when it comes to character survival. Apparently the fandom has heard that proclamation loud and clear, because Stranger Things fan chat threads are lighting up with theories and wagers about which characters in the main cast will die in Season 5.

    Videos by ComicBook.com

The biggest game of chess being played in the Stranger Things chat threads is predicting the logic of the Duffer Brothers’ storytelling in Season 5 by looking back at the previous seasons before it. There are certain trends in the seasonal storyline of Stranger Things that fans can now spot, clear as day. One of them is the introduction (and eventual elimination) of new supporting characters, like Billy, Bob, Eddie, and (sort of) Max. We already know that Stranger Things 5 will be adding actress Amybeth McNulty (Anne with an E) for an expanded role as “Vickie,” the marching band girl at Hawkins High School who becomes Robin’s (Maya Hawke) crush, even though she has a boyfriend. The Season 4 ended on a ‘will they, won’t they?’ vibe with Vickie and Robin – which is a pretty big death flag for Vickie if history (Barb) is any teacher. There’s a theory that Robin and Vickie could end up being a major surprise kill, with Robin sacrificing herself for Vickie. Maya Hawke is a major fan-favorite actor of the series, and killing her off would be a major twist that hit fans with genuine emotional impact.

The other new addition to the cast for the final season will be Linda Hamilton (Terminator), whose role in the show is being kept secret. If we know Hamilton, it’s more likely that she would sly, than be slain, unless she is appearing as some kind of pivotal character (now dead) in flashback.

Which Main Characters Will Die In Stranger Things 5?

    stranger-things-5-casting-call-sheet-max-brenner-not-returning.jpg
The cast of Netflix’s “STranger Things”

The returning cast of Stranger Things includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Jamie Campbell Bower as Henry Creel/Vecna/One.

Right now, the biggest focus (and betting money) is for Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven to be the big high-stakes character death of the final season. Brown has seen her career blow wide open since getting her breakout in Stranger Things (way back in 2016). There have been several behind-the-scenes instances (interviews, etc.) that suggest Brown could be ready to close the door on Eleven for good, thereby freeing herself from any further obligations to address fan theories or questions, once the series ends. A moving and epic death scene would do the trick of cementing the finality of Brown’s arc as the character.

Of course, major franchise IPs like Stranger Things are typically gunshy about closing doors so firmly. A popular theory is that Stranger Things won’t kill Eleven off, but rather require her to make the “sacrifice” of remaining in the Upside Down, to safeguard the passageway between the worlds – a thematic inverse of Vecna’s role.

If Eleven isn’t the grand sacrifice that happens in the climactic battle of Stranger Things, there are other viable options. Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington and David Harbour’s Jim Hopper are two fan-favorite heroic male characters whose deaths have been major concerns going into every new season. With the final season now upon us, a lot of fans think the Duffers are going to deliver the blow of taking out Steve, Jim, or both, in order to make any kind of final victory a bittersweet one. With Harbour’s increasingly busy film career, ending the fakeouts with a real death for Hopper would almost be a punchline.

On a much, much, lower level, some fans think Stranger Things will bring it full circle and actually kill off Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). Season 1 was a race against the clock to save Will, but given the character’s complicated place in the storyline now (unrequited love for his bestie) and some of the behind-the-scenes controversy between Schnapp and the fandom over the last year (global politics), it could very well be Will’s time to go.

Less likely to die are characters are the Hawkins Gang mainstays like Mike (Wolfhard), Dustin (Matarazzo), Lucas (McLaughlin), or Nancy (Natalia Dyer), as the point of the show seems to be examining the maturation and coming-of-age of these characters, in particular. Second-tier characters like Winona Ryder’s Joyce Byers, or Charlie Heaton’s Jonathan Byers seem like safer bets to survive the final season, as their deaths would be impactful to the characters, but not the audience.

Who do you think will make it out of Stranger Things‘s final season alive?

As the highly anticipated fifth season of Stranger Things approaches, fans are already speculating about which beloved characters may meet their demise. With each season bringing more danger and suspense to the residents of Hawkins, it’s no surprise that viewers are bracing themselves for potential heartbreak.

Some fans believe that characters like Eleven, Mike, or Will could be in danger due to their close ties to the Upside Down and the supernatural threats that lurk within it. Others think that supporting characters like Steve, Robin, or Max could be on the chopping block, as the show has a history of surprising deaths that leave fans reeling.

Of course, these are all just theories and predictions at this point, but the show’s creators have never shied away from taking risks and keeping viewers on their toes. Whether it’s a heroic sacrifice or a tragic twist of fate, fans are gearing up for an emotional rollercoaster in season 5.

Only time will tell which characters will make it out alive, but one thing is for certain: the stakes have never been higher in Hawkins, and fans are bracing themselves for the inevitable losses that come with the fight against the forces of darkness. Stay tuned for more updates and theories as we await the premiere of Stranger Things season 5.

  • Some Disappointing News About The ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Release Date

At this point it seems pretty obvious that Stranger Things will return in the latter half of 2025, which would make it over three years since season 4 aired. That’s old news at this point, and while the wait is interminable, Netflix may be doing something else that most fans hate about new releases of seasons of popular shows, splitting it up.

According to reporting from What’s On Netflix, their sources have indicated that season 5 of Stranger Things will be split up into two parts. Season 4 of course had a seven and two episode split, one of the first Netflix shows that started chopping up its seasons, but while that was supposedly due to VFX work needing more time, now Netflix has been doing it for what appears to be the sole reason of keeping people subscribed for two months instead of one.

The report says that Stranger Things may end up being split between an October and November release, one month apart, but we don’t know if that’s 4 and 4 or maybe 6 and 2 like last season. There are other debates about its exact release date, but most of those center on November. Netflix has declined to comment about any of this.

I’m not sure I 100% buy that this is happening. It seems likely to happen, but we have also seen some shows either avoid being split or returning to a binge model after splitting previously. One example would be The Lincoln Lawyer going from a split model back to all episodes airing day one in its last season. The return of huge Netflix shows like The Night Agent and Squid Game have not been split into halves. I do believe Netflix may be scaling back on this practice overall, as I wonder if the drop-off in viewership between halves may not be offsetting this idea that people will subscribe for an extra month. And Netflix really wants people to finish its shows as a very important metric for them.

Stranger Things and also Wednesday season 2 will be a big test of this. In that case, I would venture that Wednesday might not be split, but Stranger Things? They may do what the last season did in the form of airing “normal” episodes first, then delaying what is no doubt going to be a blockbuster movie-level finale for the entire series, making it sort of its own standalone event. So even if Netflix is moving back to a binge-only model, Stranger Things season 5 may be an exception. I do think the service overall, however, is trending back toward the way things used to be. I hope this doesn’t happen with Stranger Things, and it may not, but it does seem likely.

    Hey Stranger Things fans,

I hate to be the bearer of disappointing news, but it looks like we may have to wait a little longer for the highly anticipated Season 5 of our favorite show.

Recent reports suggest that the release date for Stranger Things Season 5 has been pushed back due to various production delays and scheduling conflicts. As much as we were hoping to dive back into the Upside Down world sooner rather than later, it seems like we’ll have to exercise some patience.

While it’s definitely disappointing to hear about the delay, let’s try to focus on the positive side – the creators and cast of Stranger Things are working hard to deliver the best possible season for us, and good things come to those who wait, right?

In the meantime, we can rewatch the previous seasons, speculate about what might happen next, and maybe even catch up on some other shows to fill the void. Let’s stay positive and keep the excitement alive for when Stranger Things Season 5 finally graces our screens.

Hang in there, fellow fans. The wait will be worth it.

    Stay strange!
