  • Will The New Orleans Pelicans And Brandon Ingram End Up Stuck Together?

The New Orleans Pelicans’ top priority ahead of the 2025 NBA trade deadline is moving Brandon Ingram, according to ESPN. And this breakup between Ingram and the Pelicans has been in the making since the summer.

In the midst of one of their worst seasons in franchise history, once again snake-bitten by injuries to a lot of the primary core players, the Pelicans are operating as sellers with the deadline less than one week away.

Since suffering a severe ankle sprain nearly six weeks ago, Ingram remains out of the Pelicans’ lineup as trade winds begin to blow heavily around him once more. However, New Orleans has endured a tough time trying to find any teams seriously interested in acquiring his large $36 million expiring contract ahead of unrestricted free agency.

Since the beginning of failed contract extension talks between Ingram and the Pelicans, the main buzz around it is due to his desires to earn a new deal over $200 million. New Orleans never felt comfortable offering Ingram anywhere close to max contract value, which has led to a dissolving relationship on both sides.

For New Orleans, they now know they have their two primary wings of the future in Trey Murphy III and Herb Jones. Murphy is producing a career-best breakout campaign averaging 21.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in Ingram’s absence. With Jones, he has proven consistently to be one of the NBA’s best on-ball wing defenders – a coveted player archetype every team is looking for nowadays.

Add in the wildcard of Zion Williamson, plus the recent trade for Dejounte Murray, Ingram will be the odd man out in terms of getting the long-term money he desires here.

So, where will Ingram and the Pelicans go from here? Over the last six-plus months, Ingram has been available for the right price. Steadily, that price continues to fall as no suitor appears to be making aggressive overtures.

At this point, New Orleans would be lucky to receive any valuable draft compensation or young prospects in return for Ingram. Now, it’s looking like a pure salary dump transaction involving Ingram is the most likely scenario for New Orleans to dux the luxury tax this season.

Ingram is a borderline All-Star talent. During his six seasons with the Pelicans, Ingram is averaging 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists while carrying an above-average 57.6 true shooting percentage. The issue with the 27-year-old wing always comes back to durability concerns.

During his nine-year stint in the Association, Ingram has never logged a single season playing a full 82-game schedule. Since becoming a full-time starter after his rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Ingram’s high in games played is only 64.

Will any teams come out of nowhere to acquire Ingram? New Orleans is looking for the right opportunity to get at least some value in return, but that honestly might not occur. The Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs and Sacramento Kings all registered interest over the summer, but none have shown much urgency to circle back at the deadline yet.

For Ingram and the Pelicans, the most realistic play could be seeking sign-and-trade opportunities during the 2025 offseason. From there, New Orleans would be able to find out Ingram’s true market in free agency – and in turn receive what they’re looking for in any potential framework.

It would be a stunner if Ingram stays with New Orleans past this season. Both sides know it’s time to move on, but it might have to be in June or July compared to the February 6th NBA trade deadline.

As the NBA offseason approaches, one of the biggest questions surrounding the New Orleans Pelicans is the future of Brandon Ingram. The talented forward is set to become a restricted free agent this offseason, and many are wondering whether the Pelicans will choose to keep him or let him walk.

Ingram had a breakout season in 2019-2020, averaging 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 46.3% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range. His performance earned him his first All-Star selection and Most Improved Player honors.

The Pelicans traded for Ingram as part of the Anthony Davis deal with the Lakers, and he has quickly become a key piece of their young core alongside Zion Williamson. However, with the team underperforming this season and missing the playoffs, there are questions about whether they will be able to retain Ingram long-term.

Ingram is expected to draw significant interest from other teams in free agency, and the Pelicans will have to decide whether they are willing to match any offers he receives. If they choose not to, they could risk losing him for nothing or potentially getting stuck in a sign-and-trade scenario.

Ultimately, the decision will come down to what the Pelicans believe is best for their future. Will they choose to lock up Ingram as a cornerstone of their franchise, or will they look to move on and potentially shake up their roster? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain – the future of Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans is a story worth following.

  • Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return Stuck in Limbo Amid Legal Battle

Brock Lesnar’s future in WWE remains a giant question mark, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be stepping back into the ring anytime soon.

While fans have speculated about his return for months, the latest update confirms that legal issues are keeping The Beast Incarnate on the sidelines.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shut down any rumors of a WWE comeback for Lesnar, explaining that everything depends on his ongoing legal situation with Janel Grant. “That’s up to legal,” Meltzer stated, making it clear that WWE won’t be bringing him back until the matter is resolved.

This situation stems from a lawsuit filed in January 2024, where Brock Lesnar was named in a case against Vince McMahon that involved allegations of sexual trafficking. As previously reported, former WWE employee Janel Grant accused McMahon of directing her to engage in sexual activities with other WWE personnel, including Lesnar.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Grant’s lawsuit alleged that in July 2021, McMahon instructed her to create explicit content for a WWE superstar who was also a UFC fighter—later identified as Brock Lesnar. The lawsuit claimed that McMahon shared explicit photos with Lesnar, who allegedly responded favorably before signing a new WWE contract. In August 2021, McMahon reportedly messaged Grant, suggesting that her involvement with Lesnar was “part of the deal.”

Further allegations stated that in December 2021, McMahon provided Grant’s personal cellphone number to Lesnar, who then requested explicit content. The lawsuit also claimed Lesnar expressed interest in meeting Grant in person, but plans fell through due to a snowstorm.

This lawsuit sent shockwaves through the wrestling world, and it explains why WWE has kept Lesnar off television since his SummerSlam 2023 match against Cody Rhodes. While there is no official word on whether Lesnar will respond publicly to the lawsuit, his WWE future remains in serious doubt.

This follows a report from Sportskeeda’s Chris Featherstone back in December, where he noted that there had been “no internal conversations” within WWE regarding Lesnar’s return. At the time, insiders were adamant that Lesnar was not expected back “any time in the foreseeable future.”

While Lesnar’s name was referenced on WWE television in October, it now seems like that was just a coincidence, not a hint at his return. Reports had previously suggested there were discussions about his comeback, but the reality is far more complicated.

For now, WWE isn’t moving forward with any plans for Lesnar, and his status remains in limbo. The question is—if and when he does return, what role will he step into? Do you think WWE should bring him back once his legal situation clears up, or is it time to move on? Drop your thoughts in the comments.

Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return Stuck in Limbo Amid Legal Battle

The wrestling world has been abuzz with rumors of Brock Lesnar’s potential return to WWE, but it seems that his comeback is currently facing a major roadblock. Reports have surfaced that Lesnar’s WWE return is stuck in limbo due to an ongoing legal battle between the wrestling behemoth and his former employer.

Lesnar, who is known for his dominant in-ring presence and larger-than-life persona, left WWE in 2020 after his contract expired. Since then, there have been whispers of a possible return, with fans eagerly anticipating his comeback to the squared circle.

However, it now appears that Lesnar’s return is on hold as he navigates a legal dispute with WWE over contractual obligations and financial matters. The details of the legal battle remain murky, but it is clear that both parties are at odds, which has put a damper on any potential plans for Lesnar’s WWE return.

Fans of “The Beast Incarnate” will have to wait patiently as the legal battle plays out, with no clear timeline for when – or if – Lesnar will make his highly anticipated return to WWE. In the meantime, wrestling enthusiasts can only speculate on what the future holds for one of the most dominant forces in professional wrestling. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

  • Marvel Rivals Fans Are Getting Stuck In Bronze & Silver Ranks, But Some Think It Might Be “Your Fault”

Some Marvel Rivals fans think that being stuck within the ranks is the player’s fault, but others think it really comes down to the luck of the draw. Competitive play in Rivals is difficult, as climbing the ranks while solo queuing is tedious, slow-going, and sometimes blood-boiling. Fans are torn between it being a numbers game and the fault of the player playing the matches.

A recent Reddit post from AKM1711 sparked a massive conversation about whose fault it truly is for being stuck within the Bronze and Silver ranks in Rivals. Fans seem to be under the impression that there really is no way to tell how a match will go, regardless of how well they play, as players are at the mercy of their teammates.

Some Think It’s “Your Fault” For Being Stuck In A Rank In Marvel Rivals

But Fans Think If The Others Aren’t Playing Their Best, You’re Out Of Luck

The Reddit thread has gotten a lot of attention, as ranked matches are tedious and some do not believe it is solely their fault for being stuck within a specific rank. ExtremelyDecentWill comments, “I’ve got 8 hours in the season and I just hit Gold, and for me it seems like every match is either Stomp or be Stomped.” Several other users chimed in and agreed with this comment, as commenter lucavigno says, “Yeah same, sometime my team get absolutely dogged other time we destroy the enemy team, rarely there’s a match that is a good match.”

“Nobody Wants To Tank”: Marvel Rivals Fans Claim Vanguard Mains Are Few & Far Between, Asking NetEase To Prioritize Tanks

Fans of Marvel Rivals are noticing a trend when it comes to matches, as players seem to want to DPS or Heal rather than tank, causing a bit of chaos.

The vast majority of comments disagree with the original post that claims it is their fault for being stuck, as some believe that each match has players who just don’t give it their best shot or are not as good as the other teammates. Others say it isn’t about being “stuck” per se, but it is a slow and extremely monotonous climb to the higher ranks.

Our Take: It’s A Numbers Game In Marvel Rivals Ranked Play

Well, You Can’t Expect To Win Them All

Split Image Invisible Woman and Reed Richards in front of Marvel Rivals and Comic Characters
    Custom Image by Logan Silva

As someone who only plays ranked in Marvel Rivals with more hours in the game than I wish to admit, it truly does feel like a numbers game. There are games where you will do everything you can, play aggressively even as a support, and still end up with a loss. If you play tank, you are at the mercy of your healers to hold the line and create space. Without good heals to avoid death, you will not last long in a fight. This doesn’t mean only depending on healers either, as players should play defensively and carefully regardless of healers and DPS.

It is a slow climb to the top, and being stuck in a rank does not mean it is entirely your fault. There are cases, though, where if you choose to only play one character and not flex to help the team, you will be to blame for the losses. Realistically, a role-queue could stop a few of these issues, but NetEase is not budging on that decision at the time of writing. All in all, Marvel Rivals is a tough game sometimes, and being “stuck” in a rank is just part of it.

Marvel Rivals, the popular mobile game that pits players against each other in intense battles, has been seeing an increase in players getting stuck in the lower ranks of Bronze and Silver. While some are blaming the game’s matchmaking system or the skills of their opponents, others believe that the fault lies with the players themselves.

Many players have taken to online forums and social media to express their frustration at being unable to climb out of the lower ranks, despite putting in hours of gameplay. Some have pointed to the randomness of the matchmaking system, which can sometimes pair them up against much higher-ranked players, making it difficult to progress.

However, others argue that the problem lies with the players themselves, citing a lack of strategy, poor deck-building skills, or simply not putting in enough effort to improve. They believe that with dedication and practice, anyone can climb the ranks and reach higher levels of gameplay.

Regardless of where the fault lies, it’s clear that Marvel Rivals fans are passionate about the game and eager to improve. Whether it’s through adjusting their strategies, seeking advice from more experienced players, or simply putting in more time and effort, there are plenty of ways for players to break out of the Bronze and Silver ranks and reach new heights in the game.

  • Stuck in a numbers game, Notre Dame OG Sam Pendleton set to transfer

Once the Notre Dame Football team arrived back in South Bend on Tuesday from the end of its national title game run, reality kicked in when it comes to the 2025 Irish.

    Specifically, the numbers game.

On Wednesday offensive guard Sam Pendleton was the first Irish player to take advantage of the special five-day transfer portal window, with more to come.

That still leaves Notre Dame at 103 scholarship commitments for 2025, 18 over the 85-man NCAA max if that limit indeed stays in place. That could all change after April 7 or not as the NCAA college sports model continues its seismic evolution, prodded by court cases and Congress.

Even with an elevated scholarship limit, the path to playing time for the former starting left offensive guard was extremely narrow. Pendleton, a former four-star prospect, will have three years of eligibility at his new school, since he redshirted in 2023, as a freshman.

With Pendleton, Notre Dame will have potentially returned eight offensive lineman with starting experience in 2024 and a ninth, tackle Tosh Baker, with prior starting experience earlier in his career.

And young prodigies like freshman Guerby Lambert and five-star incoming freshman Wll Black. With Pendleton’s imminent departure, there are still 23 offensive linemen on the 2025 roster, including four newcomers.

Pendleton was a surprise storyline in August training camp, beating out two seniors with starting experience, Rocco Spindler and Pat Coogan, for the starting left guard spot. He ended up starting seven games for the Irish and playing in 13 of the 16 as an O-linemen.

Coogan and Spindler ending up being replacement starters when injuries hit the offensive line hard in mid-September. And when Billy Schrauth returned from injury in October, Coogan and Spindler remained starters, and Pendleton became a reserve after ND’s 31-13 win in Atlanta on Oct. 19 over Georgia Tech.

Pendleton only played a total of four snaps over ND’s final three regular-season games.

He did fill in for an injured Spindler at right guard in the Dec. 20 College Football Playoff win over Indiana, when Spindler sprained an ankle. But Pendleton did not play an offensive snap thereafter in the games against Georgia, Penn State and Ohio State.

Pro Football Focus gave him a season film grade of 63.2, sixth-best among the eight offensive linemen who made at least one start for the Irish in the 2024 season.

The special transfer portal window runs through the end of the day on Saturday for all members of the Notre Dame and Ohio State teams. The Buckeyes defeated the Irish 34-23, on Monday night in Atlanta in the CFP National Championship Game.

Three Irish players migrated to the transfer portal when it opened on Dec. 9, two of whom didn’t play a down for the Irish this season — defensive tackle Tyson Ford and defensive end Aiden Gobaira.

The third, cornerback Jaden Mickey, elected to redshirt after Game 4 this season to preserve a season of eligibility and add that to his reserve at his new school.

Both Ford and Mickey transferred to Cal. Gobaira has landed at James Madison.

After a tough decision, Notre Dame offensive guard Sam Pendleton has announced his intention to transfer from the program. Pendleton, a talented player with a bright future, found himself stuck in a numbers game at Notre Dame, unable to secure a starting role on the offensive line.

Despite his hard work and dedication, Pendleton faced stiff competition from other talented players at his position. With limited playing time available, Pendleton made the difficult choice to seek opportunities elsewhere where he can showcase his skills and contribute on the field.

As Pendleton prepares to start a new chapter in his football career, Notre Dame fans wish him the best of luck and thank him for his contributions to the program. His determination and perseverance will surely serve him well in his future endeavors, and we look forward to seeing him succeed wherever he lands next. Good luck, Sam Pendleton!

  • Snap’s stock has been stuck in a rut. Could a TikTok ban give it a boost?

Speculation over “where users will go after TikTok” has been mounting for weeks, as the uncertainty of a TikTok shutdown looms large. After the Supreme Court upheld its ban in a unanimous 9-0 decision announced this morning, the fate of the app seems likely to fall to incoming President Donald Trump, who told CNN he’ll “be making the decision.”

In the background, rival social-media companies have been working hard to make sure they are well positioned in the public’s conscience should TikTok’s 170 million American users suddenly have more free time — and among them is the embattled Snapchat, which launched a new ad campaign Wednesday to court creators.

    Stuck in a rut

Snap’s push to cash in on TikTok’s exit comes as the company grapples with stagnating growth in the US and a stock price that’s been in the doldrums for more than 2.5 years.

    Snapchat stockSnapchat stock

    Sherwood News

Snap’s stock has been jumping up and down on every story, rumor, or whisper about TikTok’s fate: its shares dipped more than 5% yesterday after reports surfaced that the ban could be delayed.

    Global appeal

According to a Variety report this week, Snapchat’s US downloads hit a record low in December, down 17% from the previous year. Indeed, more than half of Snap’s daily active users now hail from outside of North America and Europe.

Snap users by regionSnap users by region

    Sherwood News

While the growing total user base sounds promising, here’s the catch: rest-of-world users aren’t as valuable. In the latest quarter, Snap made just $1.09 per user in these regions, roughly one-eighth of the $8.54 earned per user in North America. In short, rest-of-world users aren’t as helpful in getting the company, which has posted consecutive net losses in all but one quarter since 2015, out of the red.

In a bid to invigorate its advertising sales, which make up more than 95% of its revenue, Snap recently launched two new ad formats in September. Then came December’s big play: a monetization program letting eligible creators earn ad revenue from their content on Spotlight, Snap’s TikTok-style short videos — where viewership shot up 25% year over year that month. If TikTok is banned, Snap execs will hope the Spotlight falls on them.

Snap Inc., the parent company of popular social media app Snapchat, has been experiencing a stagnant stock price in recent months. Despite the company’s efforts to innovate and attract new users, investors have remained wary of Snap’s ability to compete with larger tech giants like Facebook and Instagram.

However, a potential ban on the Chinese-owned social media app TikTok in the United States could provide a much-needed boost to Snap’s stock. With over 100 million monthly active users in the US, TikTok has quickly become a major player in the social media space, posing a threat to other platforms like Snapchat.

If TikTok were to be banned in the US, Snap could potentially see a influx of new users looking for a similar platform to fill the void left by TikTok. This could lead to increased engagement and advertising revenue for Snap, ultimately driving up its stock price.

While nothing is certain in the volatile world of tech stocks, a TikTok ban could be just the catalyst Snap needs to break out of its rut and regain investor confidence. Only time will tell if Snap can capitalize on this opportunity and turn things around for the company.

  • American WTA Legend Finds It Hard to Catch Australian Open Action While Being Stuck With Rescue Cats in LA

The Australian Open is in full swing, buzzing with electric energy. Victories are being celebrated with ecstatic cheers, while defeats bring moments of quiet reflection. But amidst all the action on the courts, Donna Vekic’s legendary coach, Pam Shriver is facing an unexpected struggle—off the courts. Shriver is finding herself in an emotional tug-of-war as she watches Vekic rack up sensational wins. Why, you ask? Let’s find out.

Donna Vekic is making some giant strides in Melbourne and has qualified for the third round of the tournament. Her second match turned out to be a little dramatic, as she lost the first set against Harriet Dart. However, she managed to put her claws back into the match and went on to win the remaining two sets to advance further. While her fans watched her play with bated breath, her coach Shriver faced significant challenges to stream the match.

Taking to X, the 62-year-old commented on a video that highlighted Vekic’s dominant comeback in the match. Shriver wrote, “Watched” match point by point on AO app but could not figure out how to find it streamed in US. You don’t sweat the small stuff in LA atm!! ”

    Article continues below this ad

Remember, Shriver could not make it to Melbourne and decided to stay back at her home in Los Angeles to help her friends and family fight the devastating wildfires. Just hours before Vekic’s first match, Shriver shared her situation on X and wrote “With @AustralianOpen start @espn & @DonnaVekic playing later today, I am back in LA helping manage my family’s needs.”  But this is not the only challenge that the American veteran is facing.

Donna Vekic’s match has kept her coach awake and sleep-deprived, quite literally. Sharing the same in yet another post, Shriver wrote, “I have never slept in same room as three rescue cats, but these are unusual times in LA. I am starting at 4:45am because long played  with Donna’s match. Starting at 4:50 am how much sleep can I get?” While it is not known yet why Shriver is sleeping in the same room with three rescue cats, it can be attributed to the devastation caused by the wildfires.

At least 25 precious lives have been lost so far and over 10,000 structures have turned into rubble due to the wildfires. Besides, more than 153,000 people evacuated their homes, with the insured losses amounting to over $8 Billion. While the condition of Shriver’s home is not known yet, her latest posts are definitely not encouraging for her fans. Coming back to her partnership with Vekic, this is not the first time that the American coach has been unable to watch her mentee play in a crucial tournament.

During the Paris Olympics last year, when Vekic clinched the silver medal, her coach was not there to witness her achieve remarkable glory due to a family engagement. And yet again, her commitment to family has taken center stage over Vekic’s campaign.

Vekic, however, did not fail to pay her tributes to Shriver at the Australian Open

Really miss her”- When Donna Vekic shared compassionate remarks for Pam Shriver

Donna Vekic has been receiving continuous support from Pam Shriver for over a year now. Hence, not having her in her box during a grand slam is definitely saddening for the star player. It is for this reason, that soon after defeating Diane Parry in the first round, Vekic shared an emotional take, when quizzed about her coach’s absence.

Speaking in the interview, Vekic said, “It’s a very difficult situation for her. She’s home in LA, her house is okay for now, but so many have lost everything, and it’s a very horrible situation.” Continuing further, she added, “We were doing our preseason in LA this year, so we were just there two weeks ago. I really cannot believe what’s happening. We’re very sad that she’s not here with us. We really miss her, and I hope everything will be okay.”

As the tournament unfolds, fans can’t help but wonder: will Shriver overcome her challenges and visit Melbourne anytime soon? While that remains uncertain, it will be interesting to see how far can Vekic rise in her coach’s absence.

As an American WTA legend, I never imagined that I would be missing out on one of the biggest tennis tournaments of the year – the Australian Open. But here I am, stuck in Los Angeles with a pack of rescue cats that seem to demand my attention at all hours of the day.

I’ve always been a fan of the Australian Open, with its intense matches and thrilling upsets. But now, as I try to catch a glimpse of the action on my TV between feeding, grooming, and playing with my feline companions, I can’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy towards those lucky enough to be sitting courtside in Melbourne.

Despite the challenges of being a cat owner, I wouldn’t trade these furry friends for anything in the world. They bring me joy and comfort, even if it means missing out on some of the excitement of the tennis world.

So as I navigate the chaos of cat ownership and try to sneak in a few minutes of tennis viewing here and there, I’ll just have to live vicariously through the updates and highlights of the Australian Open. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll be able to make it back to the courts myself – but for now, I’ll just have to settle for cuddling up with my rescue cats in LA.

Born on Christmas Eve in 1965 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Rebecca King was the first child of Samuel Dean King and Anna Mae Parks. An advocate for social justice and son of a pastor, Samuel was a member of the Black Panthers before he passed away in 1972, when Rebecca was just six years old.

“I never knew my father really; my memories of him are sketchy and faint,” Rebecca shared in an Instagram post dedicated to him in 2021. “I know that I play the piano like him, and that I inherited his love for music and his penchant for playing by ear, rather than by sight.”

Rebecca pursued her passion for music at Western Michigan University, graduating with a degree in music and theatre in 1987. It was during her time as a freshly graduated music minister at a local church that she met Terry, a second-year university student who had just earned a full athletic scholarship to play American football.

Their relationship didn’t immediately turn romantic.

“He almost got stuck in the friend zone,” Rebecca told E! News in November 2018. “He was a little too nice.”

After a year of dating, the couple tied the knot in 1989, with Terry adopting Naomi, Rebecca’s daughter from a previous relationship. One year later, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Azriél. They would go on to have three more children: daughter Tera in 1998, daughter Wynfrey in 2003 and son Isaiah in 2005.

Rebecca King-Crews: The Strong, Supportive Wife of Terry Crews

Rebecca King-Crews is more than just the wife of actor and America’s Got Talent host Terry Crews. She is a talented singer, songwriter, and actress in her own right, but she is perhaps best known for being Terry’s rock throughout their 35-year relationship.

Despite the ups and downs of Terry’s career in the NFL, Hollywood, and his struggles with infidelity and porn addiction, Rebecca has remained steadfast by his side. She has been a pillar of strength, offering unwavering support and love through it all.

Rebecca and Terry met in college and have been together ever since, raising five children together. Their enduring love and commitment to each other have been an inspiration to many, proving that true love can withstand any challenge.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Rebecca has also pursued her own passions and talents. She released a single in 2010 and has appeared in several films and TV shows.

Her unwavering support for her husband and her dedication to their family have made her a beloved figure in Hollywood and beyond. Writing by Hand Improves Memory

Writing in workbook pages, as opposed to typing on a computer, can help kids focus and learn. Writing by hand fires up specific areas of a child’s brain, improving the ability to both remember what he or she learns and to think of new ideas.
