The former shooting guard is never afraid to call out his players and he recently demanded more from Bronny James following a poor performance against the Utah Jazz.
While Redick is not afraid to question his team, he also balances this out with a supportive role which looks to draw the very best out of his stars.
This support has seen his players stand up for him in situations where he is receiving heat from the media, he recently got into a large spat with Charles Barkley about the ‘negativity’ the media portrays on the league.
Redick is still young in his coaching career having never had a role before the Lakers job, but Robinson has highlighted why he believes he will be a success.
Speaking on The Young Man and The Three, he said: “I think one reason why JJ is going to be such a good coach in time is that he’s not going to relent, he’s always going to try and find ‘this isn’t working we’re pivoting we’re playing, we’re going to figure out what’s next.”

Austin Reaves has become a key part of the Lakers set-up under JJ Redick and is putting in some starring performances this season.
AR15 is grateful for his opportunity at the Lakers and he is thriving under Redick’s mentorship where he is averaging 18-4-6, his best in his NBA career so far.
The star, who went undrafted, is also a big supporter of his teammates and has explained how he is looking to help current rookie Dalton Knecht.
Reaves spoke openly about his relationship with Redick in which he feels the pair can be open with one another.
He said: “He [Redick] can say anything to me. If it’s the middle of the game he can sit there and cuss me out if he wants as I know it’s coming from a good place as I’ve spent so much time with him on a human level.
“He’s told me multiple times if there’s a situation where I need to cuss him out he said ‘Go ahead, I’m not going to hold anything against you, we’re both competitors’ so that was the main thing, we can always be honest with each other.”
Redick will now be looking to build on his 27-19 start with the Lakers, he might even be preparing to welcome a new face to the side.

Husker volleyball coach John Cook retires; Dani Busboom Kelly will succeed him
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook announced his retirement on Wednesday.
He coached at Nebraska for 25 years and won four national championships.
“It’s been a great run,” he said in a press release. “I want to thank my family for their support, and I want to thank Bill Byrne and Terry Pettit for giving me the opportunity to be the Nebraska volleyball coach.”
Before Nebraska, Cook spent seven seasons as the head coach at Wisconsin.
He has a career winning percentage of .834%, the fifth-best of all time in Division I volleyball.
Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen said Cook took the already great volleyball program to another level.
“John Cook leaves a legacy of excellence that places him alongside a very small group of coaches who can be considered the greatest in college athletics history, regardless of sport,” he said in the release.
Less than 20 minutes after NU announced Cook’s retirement, the university said Dani Busboom Kelly as the new head coach.
Busboom Kelly played under Cook, then served as one of his assistant coaches at Nebraska.
She became Louisville’s head coach in 2017.

Psychologist offers tips on setting realistic goals to succeed with New Year’s resolutions
PENSACOLA, Fla. — With the New Year, comes new resolutions.
Whether you’re resolving to be healthier, happier, or have a specific goal in mind, staying motivated to achieve those goals can be hard.
“Definitely be more positive for myself as a college student,” says Ella Devers of Pensacola. “I doubt myself a lot.”
“And try to get through this year,” she says. “Graduate this year. So, that’s my goal, to graduate.”
Others are vowing a “New year, new me.”
But many keep making the same resolutions without results.
“Year after year, people tend to set the same exact goal,” Susan Albers says. “And this really shows that there is a gap between what we want and what we do.”
Albers is a psychologist with the Cleveland Clinic. She says there are different ways to go after a goal that may make it easier to achieve.
For example, when setting resolutions, be specific and realistic. One common goal for people is improving their health or fitness.
“Well, I’m a nurse,” says Albers. “So, I think take better care of myself, so I can take better care of my patients.”
For goals like that, Albers suggests trying to pair two habits together.
“For example, if you drink your cup of coffee every morning, and routinely, and you want to start getting moving and exercising that very next behavior after you have your cup of coffee, maybe go for a walk, do some stretches, do some yoga,” Albers says.
She also says to focus on process goals, not outcome goals.
For instance, instead of aiming to run a half marathon, aim to run an extra mile a week. And she says tracking your progress makes you more likely to stick to your goal.
