The price of XRP, the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has collapsed by roughly 14% over the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.
The Ripple-linked cryptocurrency plunged to $2.58 earlier today, reaching its lowest level since Jan. 14.
Analyst Timothy Sykes says that crypto markets are down since they are open during the weekend due to the ongoing current trade tensions. He expects the leading US stock market indexes to “get wrecked” as well on Monday.
According to Sykes, the “trade tensions” are terrible for business and the economy.
DonAlt, a prominent pseudonymous cryptocurrency trader, has suggested that the crypto market could experience another round of selling on Monday.
Bitcoin (BTC) is currently down more than 4%, holding up better than other major currencies.
Dogecoin (DOGE) is the worst-performing cryptocurrency in the top 10, plunging by nearly 15%.

XRP, the cryptocurrency known for its rapid price movements, has suddenly collapsed by 14% in just a matter of hours. This sharp drop has left many investors questioning the future of XRP and whether it might continue to plummet even further. The sudden decline in XRP’s price has been attributed to a variety of factors, including market volatility, regulatory uncertainty, and overall bearish sentiment in the cryptocurrency space. With XRP already facing challenges from the ongoing SEC lawsuit and being delisted from major exchanges, this recent collapse has only added to the uncertainty surrounding the digital asset.
While some analysts believe that XRP’s price could stabilize in the near future, others warn that it might get worse before it gets better. With the cryptocurrency market being notoriously unpredictable, it’s essential for investors to exercise caution and closely monitor the situation to make informed decisions about their XRP holdings.
As always, it’s crucial to do your own research and consult with financial experts before making any investment decisions, especially in such a volatile market like cryptocurrencies. Stay informed and stay safe.

#XRP #Suddenly #Colapses #WorseHow ‘Dr. Phil’ suddenly became so outspoken about immigration
As the Trump administration’s immigration raids ramped up across America, many people were stunned to see a former daytime TV staple take center stage — Phil McGraw, commonly known as “Dr. Phil,” who accompanied immigration agents during raids around Chicago.
McGraw, who came to national fame alongside Oprah Winfrey and hosted “Dr. Phil” for more than two decades, said he had embedded with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as they apprehended “known criminals and terrorists.”
McGraw in the past year has become a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump’s immigration positions, discussing his views on TV, podcasts and social media and even at a Trump rally.
In a statement when he ended his CBS daytime show in 2023, McGraw said that he had “grave concerns for the American family” and that he was “determined to help restore a clarity of purpose as well as our core values.”
He offered a glimpse into his views on immigration during a “Dr. Phil” show in January 2023. That’s when he told his guests and the audience that he believed U.S. immigration laws were not being properly enforced and that “we can’t get our act together by doing this the right way.”
But before last year, McGraw did not appear to have ever used terms such as “illegal,” “border,” “immigration” or “ICE” in his social media content.
That all changed in 2024.
Dr. Phil’s words on immigration
- Dec. 5, 2024: The Pinal County, Arizona, sheriff posted a “thankful” message to McGraw for bringing “attention to the current crisis on our southern border.” McGraw and Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar, had visited local officials in Arizona to discuss immigration.
- Dec. 4: On McGraw’s podcast, Homan said hard-line actions are necessary to secure the border, with McGraw adding, “It’s going to be my honor to help you do it.”
- Oct. 28: McGraw posted a piece about the “smugglers’ highway” in Pinal County.
- Aug. 27: Trump appeared on McGraw’s Merit TV show, saying recent immigrants were “terrorists” released from South American and African jails.
- July 25: McGraw profiled the death of 10-year-old Alex Wise, who was allegedly “killed by an illegal migrant who had been deported five times.” ICE arrested and detained a suspect in the hit-and-run crash because he had been deported previously, officials said.
- April 11: McGraw wrote on X “America, we’ve got issues at our border. I went to the border to see this crisis firsthand and I’ve learned it’s even worse than I had imagined.”
- Feb. 26: McGraw went on “The View” to claim that young migrants were being forced into unspeakable conditions on this side of the border as “we are using American tax dollars into known prostitution and sweatshops.”
- Feb. 5: McGraw told Fox News that Chinese immigrants were stealing agricultural secrets and sending the information back home.
- Feb. 2: McGraw posted a picture of himself with armed forces with the caption “at the border today with the men and women protecting our country.”
As he was becoming more vocal about immigration, McGraw launched his new media venture.
Merit TV — which has a direct streaming option, as well as spots on DirectTV, Spectrum and other linear providers — launched 10 months ago, claiming to seek “common ground through clarity and common sense, providing traditional family content while also disrupting the news landscape with unbiased reporting on issues that mattter most to Americans.”
Merit TV is also affiliated with the Trinity Broadcasting Network, which carries programming from well-known conservatives like former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and child star-turned-social conservative Kirk Cameron.
But it was the name recognition McGraw built on his daytime talk show that was apparent in Chicago this week.
In one scene from the raids, a man being detained by ICE told McGraw, “You’re Dr. Phil.”
“How do you know me?” McGraw responded.
“I’ve seen ‘Dr. Phil’ on TV,” the man answered.
The notion of a TV figure popping up in such an out-of-context situation in regard to Trump and his policies should not surprise anyone, Syracuse University professor and TV historian Robert Thompson said.
“He likes people who are good on TV, who have been on TV, who are celebrities and who are willing to play with him, and ‘Dr. Phil,’ of course, has been on TV for a long time,” Thompson said.
“I guess seeing ‘Dr. Phil’ pop up in the center of one of these major events in the first couple of weeks of operations, it’d be surprising in any normal circumstances. But it’s not surprising in the real circumstances of today,” he said.
Dr. Phil, well-known TV psychologist and host of the popular daytime talk show, has recently made headlines for his outspoken views on immigration. While he has never shied away from controversial topics, his sudden focus on this particular issue has caught many by surprise. In a recent interview, Dr. Phil explained that his interest in immigration stems from his belief in the importance of compassion and understanding towards those who are seeking a better life. He has spoken out against the current administration’s policies and rhetoric surrounding immigration, arguing that they are dehumanizing and harmful.
Dr. Phil’s outspokenness on this topic has sparked some backlash from those who disagree with his views. However, he remains undeterred, using his platform to advocate for a more compassionate and inclusive approach to immigration.
Whether you agree with his views or not, there is no denying that Dr. Phil’s sudden focus on immigration has sparked an important conversation about a complex and divisive issue. Love him or hate him, Dr. Phil’s voice is one that cannot be ignored.

Molly-Mae: Behind It All is a Keep Calm and Carry On poster in the form of a beige, hyperbolic, strangely enthralling documentary. It was supposed to be about Molly-Mae Hague’s wedding to Tommy Fury, the man with whom she won Love Island in 2019, who was her partner for five years, and is the father of their daughter, Bambi. The couple got engaged in the summer of 2023 in Ibiza. You may have seen the video of his proposal; anything they do is tabloid catnip. But in August last year, she posted on Instagram that they had broken up. So instead, this has been repurposed into a documentary about Hague’s new life as a single mother and a businesswoman, about to launch her first fashion brand.
It is not unfair to say that most people will be tuning in to find out the gossip. Such is the fuss around Hague and Fury that episodes for review were released only at the very last minute, under heavy embargo. A photograph of the exes kissing at a New Year’s Eve party hit the headlines, and will be covered in the final block of episodes, which are due later this year. It is clearly having to play catch-up with an online world that is far more immediate than television.
But it does offer Hague’s side of the story, meted out in careful doses. The headlines will be that they clashed over Fury’s drinking habits, that Hague released the statement about their breakup to make sure that she actually broke up with him, and that she still holds out hope of a reconciliation for their family.
Much like The Masked Singer, though, you could skip the first two-thirds of any episode and still see all the bits you need to see. To get to those, you must first learn more mundane details. “I wanna know what Molly-Mae gets at McDonald’s,” says a director, off-screen. Reader, we find out. She loves pyjamas – “a sacred part of life” – and is embarrassed to open a drawer full of belts that does not please her on an aesthetic level. She once worked at a swimming pool and on the perfume counter at Boots. Both her parents admit they sometimes wish she worked there still. She is ambitious. She has always liked to be the centre of attention.
Such details have low stakes. They wash over you, inoffensively, and all of a sudden, three hours have gone by. The business of launching the fashion brand takes up a lot of screen time, as Hague frets about the launch party (the candles aren’t big enough and there is “a situation with the projector”) and worries about not being able to take pictures with all the guests. A montage of selfie requests, to which she replies, “yeah, course you can, yeah”, on repeat, is fascinating and peculiarly bleak. Her office is “girly” and “homely”. She doesn’t love social situations. She loves the Harry Potter films.
Hague filming Molly-Mae: Behind It All. Photograph: Amazon MGM Studios/PA It is easy, and lazy, to make this sound dull on paper. Hague is a massive star, with 8 million Instagram followers. This is pointed out not infrequently. Her fans eat up such details of her life. While the socials-to-television road can be a bumpy one – the two formats are less compatible than they appear, despite sharing a screen – this is as carefully produced as Hague’s own posts. It is mostly sympathetic, and reveals just enough to give the impression of intimacy. When Hague was interviewed by British Vogue recently, she was described as “friendly, but guarded”. This series makes it look as if she is being less guarded, but when you play closer attention, I am not sure how true that is.
The only dud note, for me, is what Hague calls “the blazer situation”. Despite a much-hyped sellout launch for the clothing line, one of the first products is heavily criticised for being quick to bobble. This affects Hague’s confidence, we are told, and people can’t see how their comments upset her. If those comments related to her personal life, that would be a fair point to make, but when people are unhappy with products they have paid for, it comes across as a little myopic.
But the blurring of boundaries between the personal and commercial is what drives this particular form of fame. Elsewhere, Hague seems nice, driven and image-focused. There is nothing here that will challenge that brand of hers. “It still shocks me how invested people are in my life and I don’t really understand why they are,” she says at one point. Mmmm. But she does understand what they want, and this is a cosy offering to the gods of publicity.
Molly-Mae: Behind It All is a reality TV show that follows the life of influencer Molly-Mae Hague, giving viewers a glimpse into her day-to-day activities and behind-the-scenes moments. While the show promises to be an exciting look into the glamorous life of a social media star, it ultimately falls short, leaving viewers feeling like they’ve wasted their time. The show is filled with mundane details that wash over you, leaving you feeling like you’re watching someone’s overly long Instagram story. From Molly-Mae’s morning routine to her workouts and meetings, the show lacks any real substance or depth. It’s as if the producers were trying to fill time with meaningless activities rather than delving into more interesting aspects of Molly-Mae’s life.
Despite the lackluster content, the show somehow manages to suck you in, and before you know it, three hours have gone by. It’s a strange phenomenon, as you find yourself continuing to watch despite feeling uninterested in what’s happening on screen. Perhaps it’s the allure of seeing behind the curtain of a social media influencer’s life, or maybe it’s just the mindless entertainment of watching someone else go about their day.
Overall, Molly-Mae: Behind It All fails to deliver on its promise of an engaging look into the life of a social media star. Instead, viewers are left feeling underwhelmed and wondering why they wasted their time watching. If you’re looking for something more meaningful to watch, it’s best to steer clear of this show and find something with a bit more substance.

Kate Winslet wasn’t playing around when it came to Lee. Having spent years bringing this passion project to life, she knew it couldn’t be a man.
The Titanic actress insisted that Ellen Kuras, a cinematographer she worked with on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, take the director…
After years of development hell, Kate Winslet has finally brought her passion project, ‘Lee’, to the screen. But one thing she could never allow was a male director at the helm.In a recent interview, Winslet opened up about her decision to only work with female directors on the film. She explained, “I just suddenly realized it can’t be a man. It just can’t. This story is so personal to me, and I needed a female perspective to truly capture its essence.”
‘Lee’ tells the story of a woman who struggles with her identity and societal expectations. The film delves into themes of gender, sexuality, and the complexities of the human experience. Winslet poured her heart and soul into the project, and she knew that only a female director could truly understand and convey the emotional depth of the story.
After facing numerous obstacles and setbacks in getting ‘Lee’ made, Winslet was determined to see it through to the end. She fought for creative control and made it clear that a male director was simply not an option. And her dedication paid off, as the film has received critical acclaim and has resonated with audiences around the world.
Winslet’s decision to only work with female directors on ‘Lee’ speaks to the importance of diverse voices in the film industry. By supporting and empowering women behind the camera, she is helping to create a more inclusive and representative cinematic landscape.
So, when it comes to ‘Lee’, Kate Winslet made it clear that she would settle for nothing less than a female director. And her unwavering commitment to her vision has resulted in a powerful and poignant film that will leave a lasting impact on audiences for years to come.

TikTok star and humanitarian, Dora Moono Nyambe, suddenly passed away at the age of 32 on Wednesday, December 25.
The media personality is known for launching her nonprofit Footprints of Hope in 2019, and for building a school in Zambia.
She had chronicled her journey on social media, where she amassed around 4.2 million followers on her TikTok page and 110K followers on Instagram.
However, this week on Friday, December 27, a message was shared to both accounts to announce her shock death.
It read: ‘It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden departure of our beloved Dora. She will be remembered as a loving mother, heroine, peace philanthropist and an extraordinary woman.’
The caption of the post included, ‘The program for the burial for our beloved Dora Moono Nyambe.’

Nyambe’s burial was originally set for Saturday, December 28 but was then moved to December 30 ‘due to unforeseen challenges.’
In a separate post uploaded on Saturday, a message read: ‘The burial of the late Dora Moono Nyambe, which was initially scheduled for an earlier date, has been moved to Monday afternoon 30 December 2024 due to some unforeseen challenges.’
‘We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.’
‘We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has come forward to support us, whether financially or in other forms,’ was also added in the caption.
‘Your kindness and generosity have been a source of great comfort and strength for the family during this period.’
A cause of death has yet to be disclosed, but just over a week before her passing, Dora revealed that she had broken her leg in a clip shared on December 15 – but is unclear if that has any relation to her death.
Earlier this week on Thursday, a fellow teacher who had worked for Nyambe’s nonprofit also confirmed the educator’s shock passing in a video uploaded to her main TikTok page.
‘I am officially announcing the loss of my beloved CEO, director, manager and founder of Footprints of Hope School, who died on Wednesday, 25th of December 2024.’

Nyambe’s burial was originally set for Saturday, December 28 but was then moved to December 30 ‘due to unforeseen challenges’
She continued, ‘Our sister will be buried here in Mapapa at Footprints of Hope School. Thank you so much for everything.’
Dora’s last Instagram post before her death was shared earlier this week on Monday – and was a collaboration with YouTuber MrBeast (James Stephen ‘Jimmy’ Donaldson) for Beast Philanthropy.
On December 15, she uploaded a separate clip while sitting inside a vehicle and briefly panned the camera to her broken foot.
However, her injury did not prevent her from stopping to try to acquire a bus to help children be able to get to school.
She penned in the caption, ‘A hurt leg can’t stop us! Lets get the k!ds of this remote village a school bus. We can do this!!!’
Earlier this month, Nyambe stressed the importance of getting a new bus for the children in the village of Mapapa in Zambia.
In a short reel, she wrote, ‘Our school is free and has rescued over 500 k!ds from SA and abuse. This is why we really need a bus.’
Dora worked to give children access to education in the village, and also strived to prevent child marriage.
A cause of death has yet to be disclosed, but days before her passing, Dora revealed that she had broken her leg in a clip shared on December 15 – but is unclear if that has any relation to her death
On December 20, she uploaded a clip as she stepped in front of the camera using a crutch due to her leg injury.
‘We have been able to stop so many ch!ld marriages and have created this safe heaven for them. So much more needs to be done for so many,’ she penned.
Nyambe had also been open on social media about adopting 13 children and fostering around 150-200 more.
In her final TikTok – which was also uploaded only days before her passing – she shared a montage with the kids in the village and her time teaching at the school.
Dora could also be seen giving out books to a group of kids, as well as packing food to give to the children in the village.
‘When I started to adopt, people said I couldn’t do it because of my age and being unmarried,’ Dora wrote in text added over the reel. She then added in the caption, ‘One day at a time.’
On her official LinkedIn profile, Nyambe studied at Immaculata Teaching College from 2011 through 2013. And then in January 2019, she launched her nonprofit Footprints of Hope.
In a description on the page, she shared, ‘We strive to educate, feed and house and protect the youth of the rural village of Mapapa.’

In a description on the page, she shared, ‘We strive to educate, feed and house and protect the youth of the rural village of Mapapa’
‘100% of all the development efforts are funded through donations on our GoFundMe page. I am the director and president of all operations.’
When it came to her working in the village, she previously explained to her followers that she had simply visited Mapapa with a friend in 2019 while awaiting a visa.
However, after seeing the poverty and lack of education for the children there, she made the decision to move to Mapapa with her adopted kids in order to provide a positive change.
She was then introduced to TikTok by one of her daughters, where she was able to reach millions of viewers to share her journey and bring awareness to her nonprofit.
Northeastern University graduate, Joseph Schmitt, wrote a book about Dora’s experience in the village titled Under A Zambian Tree in 2023.
‘I’m trying to amplify her voice, but I couldn’t fathom accomplishing or even trying to accomplish what she’s done. She’s incredible,’ he told Northeastern Global News last year in February.
Not long after first visiting Mapapa, Dora told the outlet, ‘By the second or third day, I was asking, “Why aren’t these kids in school?”‘
Following her success on social media – especially TikTok – she started to receive donations, both big and small, to help support her charitable organization.
‘Yes, there are kids that are suffering. But that’s not all they are. They are also amazing human beings,’ she stated
‘Lots of TikTok users are young. I think they relate to me, also as a woman who is Black,’ she explained last year.
And when it comes to the content she shares on TikTok and Instagram, she expressed that she likes to show hopeful videos of the children.
‘Yes, there are kids that are suffering. But that’s not all they are. They are also amazing human beings.’
‘They make this amazing art. They love sports. They love to read. I show these other aspects that you wouldn’t typically see in a traditional African story of the poor child wanting help,’ Dora added.
I am devastated to share the news that beloved TikTok star and humanitarian Dora Moono Nyambe has tragically passed away at the young age of 32 on Christmas Day. Dora was known for her infectious energy, positive messages, and dedication to making the world a better place.Dora used her platform on TikTok to spread awareness about important social issues, advocate for the marginalized, and inspire others to be kind and compassionate. She was a true force for good in the world, using her influence for positive change.
Her sudden death has left her fans, friends, and family in shock and mourning. Dora’s impact on the world will never be forgotten, and her legacy of kindness and activism will continue to inspire others for years to come.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dora’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace, Dora Moono Nyambe. You will be deeply missed.
