25 new photos from the mid-season premiere of the ABC series High Potential have been released, including a photo of Kaitlin Olson‘s Morgan going on a first date!

High Potential follows a single mom (Olson) with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata).

The show has been on a hiatus since mid-November and will return with new episodes on January 7. ABC has released photos from the episode, including the date Morgan goes on with [SPOILER].

Here’s a description of the episode: The team investigates a mysterious young girl who was found attacked on a beach. Meanwhile, Morgan begins to let her guard down on her date with Tom, and Soto comes one step closer to finding out what happened to Roman.

Morgan goes on a date with the new janitor, Tom, played by guest star JD Pardo.

JD was so excited to work with Kaitlin that he agreed to join the show without even seeing a script, High Potential showrunner Todd Harthan says.

“It turns out he’s a massive Kaitlin Olson fan, and he was like, ‘I’ll do anything. You just tell me where and when,’” Harthan told TVLine. “He has this natural charm and he’s so comfortable in his own skin, both as a human being and as an actor. He folded right in. He was great.”
